Chapter 1207: The Death of Night Father
Kai Nightshade couldn’t wake up for a while; Aurelia Shaw returned to the Nightshade Residence to fetch clothes.
Knowing Aurelia intended to stay by the bedside, Mason Nightshade sternly forbade it, but seeing Aurelia insist, he had to compromise.
The VIP hospital room was well-equipped, so he wasn’t worried about that part.

Mason Nightshade stood in the second-floor study, watching the car leave. Behind him, Gustavo Yates entered, holding something wrapped in kraft paper.
"Boss, this was found in the old master’s room."
Mason opened the kraft paper to find a stack of photos. Upon seeing the images, his deep eyes suddenly tightened!

In the photos, a man affectionately tucked the woman’s windblown hair behind her ear. His face resembled Mason’s, gentle and graceful, looking at the woman with deep affection. The woman’s face was not visible, but those familiar with her, or with another woman, could easily tell who she was.
Isabella Parker.

Gustavo Yates also widened his eyes upon seeing the photos.
Mason Nightshade suddenly clenched his fingers, with a black coldness swirling in his eyes. Who did this? Someone managed to silently and without involving anyone else, deliver this ulterior item to the old residence, specifically to his grandfather. The other party must have done this deliberately.
Who could it possibly be?
The feeling had been there for a while, that a hidden hand was orchestrating everything from behind, including Aurelia’s kidnapping long ago, which Mason had been investigating secretly. Yet, they hadn’t caught the culprit’s trail even now.
It was as if the other party could anticipate his moves!
"Boss." Gustavo Yates, seeing Mason’s expression, felt a chill run down his back, "What should we do now? Continue the investigation?"
"Investigate!" Mason sneered, "No matter who it is, however deeply they hide, if they did it, they’ll leave a trace. Once we grab that trace, they can forget about scheming from the shadows."
"Let..." Mason’s words halted abruptly as he instinctively didn’t want Grayson Quinn involved, nor did he want Adrian Cooper to know. His eyes darkened as he said, "Investigate secretly, don’t let others know about this, check the Nightshade family’s members."
"Boss, do you suspect..." Gustavo glanced around.
"Anyone could be a possibility. This thing couldn’t have ended up in my grandfather’s hands for no reason. Investigate. If there’s nothing, so be it; if there is, I will show the betrayer the consequences." Mason’s fingers clenched around the photos, and a cold killing intent flashed in his eyes.
Suddenly, Mason thought of something and strode out, "Get me a car!"
Since seeing these pictures had triggered a heart attack in his grandfather, it indicated he had associated them with Isabella Parker. The news of Godwin Nightshade’s death had already been a massive blow to him, almost causing his own demise.
Aurelia was his most cherished child.
If he found out about Isabella’s involvement in Godwin’s death...
He couldn’t let Aurelia see grandfather!

Kai Nightshade had woken up, supported by a nurse to sit up. His body, weakened to the point of frailty, took several gasping breaths. His wrinkled face was pale and sickly, devoid of vitality, as if he had aged a decade overnight.
Hearing movement at the door, Kai looked over just as Aurelia Shaw pushed open the door, and their gazes met.
Unlike her surprise, Kai’s eyes were icy cold, as if he were staring at an enemy.
