Chapter 1146: Why Didn’t You Tell Me Sooner?
Aurelia Shaw came out of the makeup room, and Santiago Fuller was immediately wide-eyed upon seeing her.
She wasn’t deliberately imitating the silent character; in fact, she hadn’t even read the script, yet every gesture and movement conveyed was undoubtedly the silent character herself.
Santiago Fuller truly believed that Albert hadn’t shown Aurelia the script. All the actors had signed confidentiality agreements, and someone as professional as Albert would never breach the rules.
So, had this Eastern girl grasped the true essence of the silent character before she even understood the role?
Santiago Fuller forced himself to tear his gaze away from Aurelia Shaw.
He hadn’t forgotten the wager between them.
But damn it! He was extremely satisfied with her portrayal of the silent character!
Oh wait, this was just a coincidence, her acting wasn’t up to par, and he would still be dissatisfied with her. Just because she mimicked the silent character doesn’t mean she’ll earn his approval—forget it! He won’t be fooled.
Santiago Fuller casually instructed his assistant, "Arrange a scene for her."
The assistant quickly brought a script and handed it to Aurelia.
Aurelia glanced at it for a few minutes, then looked at Santiago Fuller with a slight smirk, "I’m ready."
Santiago Fuller snorted coldly, only glanced at it for a few minutes; what could she possibly glean from it? She still wants to play the silent character...
Santiago Fuller nonchalantly said, "Start."
The lighting technician casually directed a light onto Aurelia Shaw; the people present held no particular expectations for this scene.
This Oriental woman simply hoped to get into the Western market by clinging to Albert, unwisely bumping into Santiago Fuller.
They were all watching the scene with an attitude of observing a spectacle.
A beam of light fell on Aurelia Shaw, and she started walking forward, each step taken with casual indifference, her lowered eyes never settling on anything, as if no person or matter could draw her attention.
She sat down, but the reflection in the observers’ pupils showed a different picture— a silent character seated grandly on a throne, her bare toes pressed against white tiger fur, she lifted her chin to gaze at those below, her purple eyes seductive, a faint sarcastic and sinister smile on her lips.
"Power? If I want it, who can stop me? Who can hinder me? Just you, trying to block my path?" she said, her eyes holding undisguised contempt and indifference, "In my eyes, taking your life is as easy as crushing an ant."
Each person present felt a chill down their spine, as if she were gazing directly at them, and in the next moment, they might indeed be crushed beneath her.
Even knowing it was just acting...
"Director Fu." Santiago Fuller was in a daze for quite a while before Albert patted his shoulder, pulling him out of the scene. He stared incredulously at Aurelia Shaw and pointed at her, saying to Albert, "She... she..."
Albert nodded, "Exactly, that’s why I insisted on introducing her to you."
Santiago Fuller’s demeanor immediately turned serious, "Why didn’t you tell me earlier?"
Albert shrugged, "That was my wish. If I’d told you earlier, would you have believed me? Some things you have to see and feel for yourself to believe."
After all, when he first experienced it himself, he was shocked for a long time.
Santiago Fuller indeed acknowledged this, but damn it! That bet... oh my God! Why did he agree to that damn bet? They’re definitely here to see him become the laughing stock!
Santiago Fuller paced anxiously back and forth.
