Chapter 277.3: Lu Changsheng Cuts Down the demon god, and His Name Shakes All Directions! (III)
"Yes, Progenitor." The emperor understood it completely. He was to spread the temple and convert blood descendants. Even if he failed to spread the temple, it was fine so long as the conversion went ahead.
He also understood perfectly well why the envoys had come asking. Which powerful men of those dynasties, including their emperors, ministers and nobles, were not well on in years?
An old man's largest obsession was to live longer, and here were the blood descendants with apparently that very power in them. How could it fail to move such men?
Lu Changsheng waved a hand. "Very well, go and arrange it."
"Yes, Progenitor," the emperor said, withdrawing respectfully.
Lu Changsheng's eyes narrowed slightly. "Chen Ping."
Chen Ping was summoned in short order, and Lu Changsheng asked him, "How do things stand with the temple now? How is the conversion going?"
"The temple is the state religion of the Jing Dynasty now, and a great many people have joined it. As for the conversion, it is going very well indeed. Not just in the capital, but every part of the dynasty is converting blood descendants steadily and in good order.
βBy the present estimate, we will see every person in the Jing Dynasty converted within a year."
Lu Changsheng nodded. The situation was excellent throughout. The population of the entire Jing Dynasty would be converted within a year, and that population ran to several hundred million. Once it was done, the number of blood descendants would be a terrifying figure. The tide would fully turn, and there would be nobody left who could stop him.
He lifted his head to look into the empty space. He could feel the embryo of his Martial Dao condensing there, and it was condensing at nearly every moment. It would not be long before the Martial Dao condensed completely. After that, all Lu Changsheng had to do was wait out the ten years.
"Go, keep collecting demon plants."
"Yes, Progenitor." With that, Chen Ping left.
Lu Changsheng looked over the demon plants he had left. Using them continuously ate through them very fast. The ministry had spent years building that reserve up, but three months of Lu Changsheng's training had very nearly emptied it. It would last him at most one more month, which would come to another five percent of progress.
I still have to find more demon plants. I wonder how matters stand in the demon nation?
He turned his eyes toward it. There was no hurry just yet, though. He would let a little more time pass and see how things looked.
Time went on, and a month later, his demon plants were entirely used up. Without them, his Flesh and Blood Martial Dao progress came nearly to a stop. It was not that training and improvement had become impossible.
His Martial Dao could still climb without demon plants, but the rate of the climb had simply turned very slow. He could perhaps only achieve three to five percent in a year. At a rate like that, when on earth would he reach Sixth Growth?
Lu Changsheng went on waiting. The envoys of the other dynasties took blood descendants home with them, and the blood descendants began spreading through every human realm there was.
Royals, high ministers, and powerful men all converted, as the benefits were real and numerous. Countless people came scrambling to be converted in no time.
Once a man was a blood descendant, he could convert others as well, so the numbers increased like a snowball rolling down a hill until the count of blood descendants was exploding upward every single day.
As the other dynasties converted, more demon plants came into Lu Changsheng's hands. A good many of their powerful men collected demon plants to some degree or another.

The deep reserves those noble houses had been sitting on were offered and given, but not one dynasty had done what Li Zong did, which was bringing demon soil back from the demon nation and raising demon plants, so the quantity ran on the small side.
Nonetheless, it still carried Lu Changsheng through another three months of training.
Lu Changsheng called up the Status Panel.
[Status Panel]
Host: Lu Changsheng
Title: Flesh and Blood Progenitor
Flesh and Blood Martial Dao: Fifth Growth (36%)
It's been close to three years in this world now. Three years, and the Flesh and Blood Martial Dao stands at Fifth Growth with the progress at thirty-six percent.
The issue is that the human nations have been scraped nearly bare of demon plants, so whatever is left cannot amount to much. More people need to go into the demon nation to collect them for me.
A sharp light crossed his eyes. For the time being, he would not be going into the demon nation himself. It was true that no Demon Progenitor had shown itself in several thousand years but who could say what was happening behind that? A Demon Progenitor was a terrifying existence and a match for Sixth Growth.
Going into the demon nation and running into one would mean trouble of the largest kind, and several years of effort might end up poured out on the ground for nothing. Besides, only three years had gone by. He had seven left, which was ample time. He could go on keeping his head down for a few more years.
Staying out of the demon nation did not mean he could not get any demon plants out of it. He still had to find a way to lay hands on them, and the way was a rather simple oneβkeep sending blood descendants in. It couldn't be ordinary blood descendants either, but blood descendants who had achieved Fourth Growth at the least, who were a match for a demon king.
At Fifth Growth, converting a blood descendant all the way to Fourth Growth cost him greatly. Given long enough, though, he could turn out a great many of them, and Lu Changsheng did not believe that blood descendants who matched demon kings would fail to bring demon plants back.
Additionally, if Chen Ping brought him the blood descendants of outstanding talent, the ones who had trained the Flesh and Blood Martial Dao on their own and reached Third Growth, then carrying them up to Fourth Growth would cost him a great deal less effort.
With that, he gave the order and the whole Temple of Flesh and Blood moved. Third Growth blood descendants were escorted before him in a steady stream. Whenever he had the time, he raised them as far as he could, after which the ones who had achieved Fourth Growth were dispatched into the demon nation.
An unbroken stream of Fourth Growth blood descendants went into the demon nation, and the changes they brought to the whole nation turned heaven and earth over. Lu Changsheng himself stayed in the capital of Jing the entire time and would not take one step outside it.
One year, two years, three years... Another three years went by, which made six full years since Lu Changsheng had arrived in this world. Then, one day, he felt something.
Rumble!
The Martial Dao is... condensing!
The shock of it went through him. He came to his feet, left the sealed chamber at once, flew straight up into the sky, and cast his senses out across it.
Just as he had thought, the embryo of a Martial Dao that had hung so vaguely there had condensed completely. The Martial Dao had finally condensed! This world had gained one more great Dao at last, and it was the Martial Dao.
The Martial Dao hung like a bright moon in an open sky, and every blood descendant alive could feel it the moment it appeared. That was because a Martial Dao condenses out of the will of the multitude, and the multitude in this case was essentially the blood descendants. Three years had been enough to spread them across the entire world.
Having a Martial Dao was of enormous benefit to them. It amounted to a guide the blood descendants now had, and they no longer needed the temple's preaching to find their way. Any blood descendant at Third Growth or above could sense the Martial Dao, and in some way beyond explanation, they knew the upper limit of their martial path.
Now that it had condensed, that ceiling stood at Fifth Growth, which was exactly Lu Changsheng's own realm. One step beyond it lay Sixth Growth.
A ceiling meant that every blood descendant training the Martial Dao had hope of reaching it. Of course, it was just hope and nothing more, but it would lift a great many of them all the same. It was like putting a road in front of their eyes, a road toward genuinely standing against the demon race.
