Chapter 234.1: The Three Great Saint Bodies Unite, Becoming a Martial Saint and Gaining Three Thousand Years of Life! (I)

Lu Changsheng's main objective during this seclusion session was to advance the Primordial Hole Saint Body and the Five-Colored Divine Light Saint Body.

The Void Devil Pearls and natural elemental essences he had obtained from the Black Light Merchant Association provided exactly what he needed to advance both Saint Bodies. The only question was how far these resources could push their progress and whether the final results would satisfy him.

Lu Changsheng took out the natural wood essence and began to use it for the Five-Colored Divine Light Saint Body first. Having already used several types of natural elemental essence in the past, he was thoroughly familiar with the process, so everything went smoothly.

Once the wood essence had been fully absorbed, he moved on to the natural earth essence and the two Void Devil Pearls. When he was done, Lu Changsheng could clearly sense that the progress of the Primordial Hole Saint Body had increased considerably.

Time passed, and before Lu Changsheng knew it, nearly a month had slipped by. By now, he had finally finished absorbing the materials for his Saint Bodies, so he summoned his Status Panel to examine his current progress.

[Status Panel]

Host: Lu Changsheng

Perception: 431,400 (Praised for a Hundred Generations)

Primordial Hole Saint Body: Not forged yet (99%)

Five-Colored Divine Light Saint Body: Not forged yet (99%)

Ten Directions Saint Body: Not forged yet (99%)

Lu Changsheng first looked at his Perception. It had steadily risen to more than 400,000 points and was gradually approaching the 500,000 mark, though it still remained far from one million.

However, Lu Changsheng was not concerned. Perception at the level of Praised for a Hundred Generations was already extraordinary, and he believed that his current Perception would be more than enough for forging and fusing Saint Bodies.

More importantly, all three of his Saint Bodies had now reached ninety-nine percent progress. At this stage, he could forge any one of them whenever he wished and immediately become a Martial Saint.

However, Lu Changsheng had never invested so much time and effort merely to forge an ordinary Saint Body. From the beginning, his goal had been to fuse all three Saint Bodies into one.

He drew a deep breath, letting go of any trace of hesitation. Let's begin.

With all three Saint Bodies at ninety-nine percent, their progress had reached the ideal point for fusion. Before he could merge them, however, he first had to break their existing forms. Only by breaking them down completely, and then fusing them together, could a new Saint Body take shape.

The risk involved in this operation was enormous. If the fusion failed, all the progress Lu Changsheng had made would vanish, and the three Saint Bodies would return to zero. If it came to that, he would have to start everything over again. The worst part was the rarity of the essential resources for each Saint Body. If he failed now, there was no telling how long it would take to gather them again.

The fusion process had to succeed. Failure was simply not an option.

Lu Changsheng thought carefully about the rules behind forging a Saint Body.

Forging a Saint Body depends primarily on resources, but fusing several Saint Bodies relies almost entirely on Perception—Perception beyond what an ordinary person has. Only with that can a person find the balance and commonalities between three Saint Bodies, and merge them into one.

Even with Lu Changsheng's Perception at the level of Praised for a Hundred Generations, he could not guarantee that the fusion process would succeed. However, if with this level of Perception even he could not accomplish this fusion, then perhaps no one in the world could.

Nevertheless, Lu Changsheng had complete faith in his Perception. It had never failed him before, and he did not believe it would fail him now.

Boom!

A thunderous sound erupted from within Lu Changsheng as his entire body shuddered. Without the slightest hesitation, he allowed all three Saint Bodies to break apart and scatter completely.

Although none of the Saint Bodies had been truly forged, each had already reached ninety-nine percent progress, meaning the foundation was already there. Anyone capable of examining Lu Changsheng closely would have sensed three overwhelmingly powerful auras within him, each belonging to one of the three supreme Saint Bodies. Once forged, any one of them could amplify the power of his divine abilities by more than a hundred times.

Such a level of amplification was simply unimaginable. After all, an ordinary Saint Body could generally enhance divine abilities by only twenty or thirty times.

However, Lu Chansheng refused to choose just one supreme Saint Body; he coveted all three. Letting all three Saint Bodies collapse together was itself a declaration of his resolve, and there was no turning back now. He had to fuse them into one.

As soon as the three Saint Bodies collapsed, Lu Changsheng could feel their powers beginning to merge within his body. But the instant they touched, a splitting pain tore through his head. The three were like fire and water, utterly incompatible. Rather than merging, their powers immediately began clashing and consuming one another.

However, this reaction was hardly surprising. Every Saint Body possessed its own unique foundation and an inherently domineering nature. None would tolerate the presence of another, much less allow itself to be absorbed into a new whole. As such, conflict within the process of fusion was something normal and inevitable.

Lu Changsheng was not fazed, as he had anticipated such resistance from the beginning. If Saint Bodies could be fused so easily, powerful Saint Bodies would be present everywhere; they would not remain an obscure thing, almost unheard of.

With this, Lu Changsheng's Perception was going to be tested to its limit. Countless ideas and possibilities surged through his mind, and he tried one method after another to bring the three Saint Bodies together. He failed, and failed again, but each failure left him with a better understanding of the three Saint Bodies.

He soon realized that forcibly combining them would never succeed. He first had to identify something all three shared, then use that commonality as the point from which the fusion could begin. Without such a connection, the three Saint Bodies would continue to reject and consume one another until nothing remained.

The problem was that the Primoridial Hole Saint Body, the Five-Colored Divine Light Saint Body, and the Ten Directions Saint Body were entirely different.

Lu Changsheng carefully worked it through in his mind. The Primordial Hole Saint Body is derived from the Mental Black Hole divine ability. The Five-Colored Divine Light Saint Body is derived from the Five Elements Decomposition divine ability. The Ten Directions Saint Body is derived from the four principles of Earth, Fire, Water, and Wind. What commonality could there be among them?

The Ten Directions Saint Body and the Five-Colored Divine Light Saint Body shared at least some things in common. The Earth Element, for example, has some similarities to the Land Principle. Although they are far from identical, there's still enough overlap for a connection.

But what about the Primordial Hole Saint Body?

The world is composed of time, space, consciousness, and matter. The Primordial Hole Saint Body could represent consciousness, while the Five-Colored Divine Light Saint Body and the Ten Directions Saint Body could represent matter... But that's too broad. It still gives me no real common ground...

Lu Changsheng's extraordinary Perception continued to generate one possibility after another. Countless ideas collided within his mind, occasionally producing flashes of insight so remarkable that even he was astonished by them.

Unfortunately, at the end of the day, none of them were enough to fuse the three Saint Bodies.

Days passed as Lu Changsheng continued searching for a way to fuse the three Saint Bodies. Five days became ten, ten became twenty, and before long, an entire month had gone by.

His physical body was extraordinarily powerful, strong enough to resist decay and stay whole indefinitely—but that was only as long as his mind remained stable. During this fusion process, Lu Changsheng was forcing his mind to operate without pause, constantly pursuing new ideas and testing every spark of inspiration that arose. This placed an enormous strain on both his mind and his physical body.

Worse still, Lu Changsheng could not move. With the three Saint Bodies dispersed throughout his own body, even the slightest disturbance could throw their already chaotic powers completely out of control and destroy everything he had accomplished. All he could do was remain perfectly still and continue thinking.

However, under such harsh conditions, his body could endure for three to five months at most. Half a year was the absolute limit. Beyond that, his physical body would inevitably collapse.
