Tou no Madoushi

Episode 13: Who's Picking Me Up

At the end of the admissions ceremony, each of the new students was passed to a separate room for an explanation.

The explanations were mainly as follows:

Tuition needs to be paid 500,000 legicas per year. However, college students can obtain loans for scholarships at low interest rates. In addition to tuition fees, loans can also be obtained for the cost of textbooks and other tools required for classes.

It is important to note that some classes charge extra to take courses in addition to tuition.

Graduation requires twenty units of basic magic subjects, so it's a good idea to take as many basic magic subjects as possible.

Most of it was information I had heard beforehand from Elios and the others.

"Okay? Fill out the desired subject on the distributed form and submit it to the Magic Instructors Association by next week. You know how to submit. You're going to arouse a fairy living on paper by spell and fly it all the way to the Magic Instructors Association bookcase. The only place to submit it is on the form so the fairy arousal spell is enough. Fairies will decipher the letters and carry them on their own. If you don't know, come and ask the association. Well, if you pass the exam, I don't think you'll have a problem."

Lynn left the classroom when she put the paper that emerged from the magic formation engraved on her desk in her bag.

When Lynn went out into the hallway, the wizards in black robes lined up in shifts. Lynn looked at it wondering if it was the first time, but as each of them joined the students who came out, she realized that she was the master who had come to pick up her own apprentice.

When the student they are looking for comes out, one leads them, one makes sure to follow behind them, and the other leans towards the elevator at the edge of the hallway. The sons of the aristocratic class seem to be sending their masters to pick them up to the college, just like Yuven.

It was obvious whether or not the aristocracy depended on whether the master was escorting him. Lynn looked at them blurry for a while. I can hear a group of mentors talking.

"You don't have to pick me up. I'm not a kid anymore."

"That's not how it works. My father tells me to watch over you."

"Chip. Depressing. I thought I'd be free to swing away from home."

The two walk down the hallway together as they make up their minds.

Lynn turned her heels back to where she was supposed to rendezvous with Theo. Traditionally, after the college's admission ceremony, those with a master are to be consulted on the subject selection. Lynn and Theo also had to head to the Association of Magic Instructors in the college city of Alfld to meet their masters.

Lynn ran off the hallway to escape their talk. If I didn't, my chest was going to get clogged. Lynn never had the experience of having an adult pick her up. Watching them seemed like something could be done.

After rendezvous with Theo at the entrance to the college, Lynn went to the Alfld branch of the Magic Instructors Association to visit each other's masters.

When we joined, Theo noticed that Lynn was unusual and looked at her face wonderfully, but she stayed untouched.

Lynn was honestly horny. Lynn's feelings now must not even have been shared with Theo.

Until he reached the association, Theo chose as many extraordinary topics as possible to talk to me about.

Thanks to you, by the time I met Yuin, I was feeling somewhat calm.

Lynn deeply appreciated Theo's response inside.

When Lynn opened the waiting room door, Yuin had already sat back and relaxed on the indoor sofa.

"I'm surprised. I didn't expect you to pass the exam so soon."

Yuyne spoke to Lynn in an unchallenged voice, as usual. I can't read emotions from that voice.

"I was twisted. The kid who became my roommate was very smart. He taught me a lot about the wisdom of life and how to study."

"Hum. I see. Well, I thought that might be it."

Yuyne said just like that.

Lynn continued the conversation without worrying.

"How was your master? Have you studied magic?"

"Oh, things are going well. I'm just busy for that matter. I still don't have time to give you a good ride to your consultation. I'm sorry, but you have to think for yourself about your subject choices."

(Grunts. You took the lead)

Lynn was anxious about the timing of cutting out to discuss the subject choice, but it got harder to say.

(Nevertheless...... my master is amazing after all)

Lynn hadn't talked to Yuin in a long time and felt the depth of his power again.

His speaking magic language was more fluent than any magician he had ever met in Renlil or Alfrid.

It echoes in my ear very clearly, and where I intend it flows into my head without precipitation.

He must have been quite powerful as a magician.

That's why Lynn was sad.

Does Yuin still only think of himself as a sale?

Was that word a lie when you told me you had the talent of a magician?

"Well, that's why I'm gonna give you some free time."

Yuyne tries to get up off the couch she was sitting on.

"Oh, wait"

"Hmm? What?

Yuyne stops in a halfway position without trying to sit deeply in the chair again.

"Um. This is how I passed the college. It also allows some reading and writing about magic language. I was wondering if there was anything I could do to help my master... Can you help me research my master?"

I knew it would not be possible for Yune to pick me up at the academy. Still, I wanted at least to be needed.

"There's nothing I want you to do."

Yuin said clearly.

"Take the college exam and say what just because you can read and write magic? He's got gormans in this tower."

Yuyne said annoyingly.

"Actually, I'm seeing you this way. It's a waste of time. If you need anything else, I'll let you go."

Lynn went back to the reception lobby where she was meeting Theo from the modem in a stuffy foothold.

Lynn was disappointed.

I expected a little praise because I had achieved so much.

But Yuin's attitude was no different than it was before school.

Returning to the lobby, Theo was already there and looked through the subject matter requirements.

"Oh, are we done? Then let's go."

Lynn turned her eyes round. The talks between him and Yuin were also probably shorter, but is it true that the talks between Theo and his master were shorter than that?

"Theo. Have you finished your meeting with your master yet?

"No, I haven't seen you, have I?

Theo said with a pungent face.

"What? You haven't seen him?

"Oh, it's a waste of time," Theo said plainly.

"By now, that goddamn master will be waiting in the understatement. No disciples come as long as you wait to live. All right."

Lynn laughed.

"Amazing, you. I can't believe I broke my promise to my master."

It was something that Lynn couldn't do very well.

"I guess I'll do the same next time."

"Whoa, do it. Do it. It's a waste of time."

(I'm glad Theo and I are friends)

Lynn thought so from the bottom of her heart. I felt like I could stay bright even after something sad happened with him.
