Tou no Madoushi
Episode 15 College Life
"Fairies can dwell in all things and arouse them with magical powers. The aroused fairy can be freely used. Its power depends on the fairy, but it is said that it is more powerful and diverse, easier to class up to the Spirit than the older one, the fairy in the right place where the magic gathers"
A fairy science professor, Cairon lectures as he circles between classroom desks with a textbook in one hand. In the meantime, Chalk was dancing alone on the blackboard and kept writing magic letters.
It's magic on the chalk so that it moves automatically.
Lynn keeps her hands busy moving and keeps copying blackboard letters on her notebook.
"The most common fairy magic is manipulating flames, water, and air. Because fairies are good at changing temperatures and moving weightless things. Conversely, what I don't like about fairies is moving heavy stuff. For example, fairies living in metal, such as iron, are very quiet and difficult to arouse. For this reason, the magician uses mechanical magic using canes to move heavy objects, and metallurgical magic using magic formations to process metals. It's the difference between a spirit and a fairy, but... whoa."
There was a bell to announce the end of the class as Dr. Cairon tried to turn the page.
"That's it for class today, isn't it? This was my first class so I didn't have any assignments or exams in particular, but from the next class I have assignments and exams so please make sure you are prepared. If you drop one assignment and one test, you won't get credit. I'll keep in touch with your college books later on for assignments. Bye."
Cairon disappears after making a humming noise when he is graceful.
A magic formation floated in his place until earlier and eventually disappeared.
The students are freed from the task of copying the sheet books and start cleaning them up simultaneously.
After the cleanup, the students moved away from the classroom to a classroom where they would have their next class.
Lynn also took a sigh of relief after copying the board book.
"That was a normal class."
Theo sitting next to me talked to me.
"Yeah."
Lynn and Theo were taking their first classes at the college.
The class was just orthodox, where the professor spoke and the students photographed the letters written on the blackboard.
Lynn was anxious to see what kind of rigorous magic training would begin for now.
Lynn decided to check the timetable once before leaving the classroom.
"Come out, the College Book."
When Lynn casts a spell, a thick book appears and fits in with Lynn.
This was the new magic that what I became a graduate student could use.
The College Book was packed with all the essential information for living college life, including timetables, subject requirements, and a map of the College.
Changes in class hours and faculty contacts will be updated in real time from time to time.
Lynn turns the page where today's timetable is posted.
"Next up is" Preliminary of the Magic of Machinery "? This is class number two on the 58th floor."
"Okay, let's go."
Lynn and Theo checked the road before leaving the classroom and boarding the elevator to reach the 58th floor.
"What kind of class is" Preliminary Teaching Mechanical Demons "?" Theo asked Lynn.
"That's it. Classes that get paid if you attend"
"Oh, there you are. That's the one," Theo slaps his hand like I just remembered.
"The one with all those frigid complaints."
"Yeah, that's it."
"Then you have to be careful."
College electives are supposed to be tutorials for the first time.
So we can look at the class and decide if we want to make a choice.
If you cancel, you must make an offer by the second class.
Lynn and Theo were going to listen to the explanation for now before deciding whether or not to choose a class.
Nevertheless, Lynn was looking forward to this class, "Preliminary Mechanical Demon Instruction."
A job using the higher technology of a magician, and the salaries generated by it….
Lynn has never been obsessed with earnings, and the idea was that that would suffice if she only got what she needed.
It wasn't until he saw the streets of the college city of Alfld that he wanted to change his mind and earn more money.
When I stepped out of the college, the view that jumped in was a different world.
Its downtown areas are joined by red roofs and several high-rise buildings, and the outfits of the people who go to the city are much more gorgeous than Renlil's. The only way people can get around is by carriage.
If I could live in this city...... it wouldn't have taken him a long time to think so.
Though she can now enter and leave more than fifty floors, Lynn still lives in a nest of dove rats.
I can't stand the price of Alfrid on my current Lynn income though.
The "Preliminary Mechanical Magic Instruction" class may make your gorgeous life in Alfld come true.
Because the harder you work in this class, the more money you can make.
Lynn swelled her chest in anticipation and knocked at the door of the classroom of "The Preliminary Magic of Machinery".
The classroom where the "Preliminary Instruction of Machinery" takes place was a large classroom that can accommodate more than a hundred humans.
Large spaces lined with narrow desks, but most of the seats were filled nonetheless.
"There's nowhere for the two of us to sit."
"I have no choice. Let's sit one at a time."
Lynn and Theo broke up and searched for an empty seat.
Lynn realized as she wandered between her desks that all the students in the classroom were in the civilian class with gold clasps on their robes. That looks pretty poor, too.
Lynn walks to the back of the classroom, kicking around to see if there are any available seats.
Then I found one empty seat. There was just a strangely filthy student next door.
He is wearing a red robe, which is a sign of a college student, but everywhere is full of coal. He can also see dirt and tear marks on the clothes he is wearing inside the robe. Looks like he's been wearing the same clothes for years now.
Lynn was a little scared but decided to give it a try.
"Um. Are you free here?
"Whoa. I'm free. Sit down." It was a surprisingly flamboyant voice to be back.
"Yes, thank you"
Lynn honestly followed his offer.
I looked at him again after I sat down.
Dark hair is stretched out and drooped down to her shoulders. At the mouth there was a barren beard growing in Bobo.
That doesn't even look like Dundee again, but the problem was he was an old man no matter what he saw.
"Um..."
"Hmm? What?"
"I'm an elementary class magician, but maybe I'm in the wrong classroom? This is a high-class classroom or something..."
"No, it's elementary school."
Lynn twisted her neck. He looks oddly old for it.
(No, no, you can't judge people by their looks. A little beard grows just a little faster, guide. She may be as old as me)
Lynn decided to put in an exploration.
"Don't you feel like there are plenty of older people for some elementary class?
"I have a bunch of guys who haven't been able to get out of the elementary class for years. I'm one of them."
"Ha, ha"
Lynn didn't know what to answer and stuffed the words.
"You're a face I don't see. Is this your first class?
"Yeah, it is. Oh, I say Lynn in my first year of college."
"My name is Shardiff. I've been in this college for over twenty years now."
"Heh, 20 years!? Are you in the elementary class for 20 years?
"Sort of. He's called an ancient ginseng."
"No... ancient ginseng..."
"You be careful, too. This college is a bad, bottomless swamp. As soon as you're taking blurry classes, you're gonna be like me."
(Same as Ren Lil...)
Lynn remembered her uncle who showed an unusual obsession with buying that low-cost product that was in Renlil. Looking over, none of the humans in this classroom and he were as depressed as the losers in life. Lynn began to be anxious about this class as early as possible.
The first time in the early classes of witty magic instruction was just explained pretty much as it was written in the subject matter requirements.
Being able to learn hands-on skills in ingenious magic through real work.
Achievements in class shall be considered labor and salaries shall accrue.
After hearing the explanation, Lynn and Theo left the classroom and headed to the elevator to Renlil.
That's the end of today's class, so the two decided to crush their time to work part-time in Renlil's dining room.
"Oh, my God, you just kept talking about what's in the subject line. You didn't have to leave for the first time."
"Hey Theo. What do you think of that class earlier?
"Hmm. That was a lot of old people"
"Right. I talked to the person who sat next to me. Looks like there's plenty of people who've been away for years. I knew that class wasn't suspicious?
"Hmm. I need to try and do some actual work on that. Whatever...... Looks like the Academy book has been updated."
The engraved print on the back of Theo's hand shines bright. This is a testament to the fact that some new information was delivered through the College Book.
"Get out. College books. Whoa, there's a fairy magic challenge going on."
"Really? What does it say?
"Erm," memorization of 50 basic spells of fairy arousal. I'll be on the test next week. 10,000 characters in the report about the difference between fairies and spirits. Five thousand characters in the report about the limits of water quality where fairies can live. Report 5,000 characters about fairy and flame temperatures and colors. 'Huh!? Are we gonna do all this by next week?
Theo raises his bare voice.
Lynn also doubted her eyes.
I wonder if there will be so many challenges every week in all the classes.
"Shit. We have to cut him off for quite some time. I can't do this. Let's go to the library."
"Hey Theo. That girl......"
Lynn stopped Theo from trying to turn himself in and go to the elevator that led him to the library.
Because I found someone I knew in the direction Theo was trying to go.
Lynn's fingertips were preceded by an incorrect girl, Yuven.
Looks like she's taking classes in the classroom on this floor now.
"Roar."
Theo moaned with a bitter face when he admitted what Yuven looked like.
She walks slowly down the hallway, accompanied by her accompanying master. Its graceful standing behavior was that of the aristocratic lady herself.
"Hey, don't look too closely at him. I'm gonna spend some time pretending I didn't notice."
Theo lay down on his face and slapped him in the ear by Lynn. I didn't seem to want to see her.
"Yeah."
Lynn didn't want to see her now either. Because I felt bad if she knew where I was coming from.
He still couldn't give an answer to a guy who knew his identity and blatantly changed his attitude about how he should behave.
