Tou no Madoushi

Episode 25: The frustration of recruiting

When Lynn enters the study room, Yuven shows up again and comes this way.

I can't believe you get tangled up in Yuven every day like this.

There's a sense of seclusion when you think about when it was previously ignored, Lynn thought.

And his face is strangely bright. Lynn had a bad feeling.

"Lynn. I heard that. You're a slave class."

(Oh, did I find out)

Lynn got sick of it.

(Who is it? The one that's preposterous)

"So you didn't mention your last name. No. I'm not saying it. So I couldn't. No, it's not."

Lynn looked quietly at Yuven as she sighed.

"That's right. I worked in farming as a slave under Master Milne, who ruled Carele. But I'm trying not to worry too much about my identity. You can take classes here just like the nobles and the children of civilians."

"What do you think around me, even if you don't care? I was wondering if you'd treat me the same way you did before."

(I see. Is that what you wanted to say)

Yuven seemed to think he had a story to threaten Lynn with.

"Though I generally know kids I've been seeing for a long time now. Well, if you want to say so. So you just have to see how everyone treats you and how much your attitude changes."

Lynn turned to the book to say just that.

Yuven has become frustrated. Theo comes on the provocation as soon as he protrudes, but this one like Lynn doesn't eat it, pushing or pulling.

Yuven was also frustrated that Lynn's book was turning as fast as ever. Aren't you going to finish your next class preview already?

"Hey. Stop reading books already.

"What? Why?

"You've studied enough. You don't have to work any harder.

"No... but... I work at the factory all day, Saturday and Sunday. When I get home, I'm stuck and I'm not studying. We have to do it at this hour."

"If you read so many books, you're gonna be retarded."

Lynn turned into a pocan. Because I didn't know what Yuven meant by what he said.

"Look. I'll just close the book when I get it. You play more."

"No, no, no. Wait a minute. I don't know. Why would I be retarded if I read too many books?

"It's too much, but it's a treat, isn't it? It's forbidden to overdo anything.

"No, that's like something different"

Shut up and shut the book.

On that day, Lynn could not satisfy the class preview because of Yuven's obstinate obstruction.

"Come on."

Pre-class classroom. Lynn sat next to Theo.

"? What is it? That's oddly close," Theo surprises me.

"That's not true."

I can't even study Otiochi like this.

Lynn used the usual method to avoid jamming Yuven.

In other words, it is a way of hiding behind Theo.

Even though Lynn is a slave class, she cannot be taken lightly by her classmates because she is Theo's friend.

If it meant a friend of Theo's everyone's at a glance, we couldn't all give Lynn a little bit of a detour.

(Now I can do a slow preview. Theo is supposed to protect me. How dare you be my friend)

But this hand didn't work on Yuven.

Yuven came when Lynn tried to safely open the pages of the book.

"Are you previewing again?

(Gasps)

"I told you you'd be retarded if you studied so much. Come here for a second."

"So, Theo..." Lynn asked Theo for help.

"Hey, Yuven. Come on, man."

"Oh, Theo. You want to be watched by me, too?

"Well, shall I go that way," Theo stood up and left Lynn.

"Hey, whoa."

"Lynn. You're this way"

Lynn tried to chase me down by Theo, but Yuven disappoints me to grab my arm.

He was even taken to her seat so that he could be pulled.

They took me there were some fancy girls Yuven was always stuck with. Lynn's heart pounds.

"Lynn, I won't allow you to run out. As a punishment, I want you to join me in this conversation while I talk to my friends today."

(What? Can't you have a chat with Yuven's friends? Rather than being punished like that, it would be a reward. Jesus!)

Lynn was pulled by Yuven and brought in front of the group.

"I'll introduce you all. This kid is Lynn. Theo hates me and I don't have any friends. Stay close to him."

"Oh, thank you."

Lynn shyly leaned down, exposed to the women's curious gaze. They liked Lynn with that cute trick.

It was indescribably sweet time to chat with Yuven's friends.

I was nervous at first, Lynn, but it's getting harder and harder.

Their story was too boring.

It wasn't much of an interest to Lynn, including fashion, Alfrid's shops, romantic relationships, scandals between nobles, tea parties, and who was called to a party hosted by who.

It seemed like a proud seed to them to be invited to a tea party by a noble nobleman in the city of Alfrid, but it was a borderless story to Lynn.

Nothing is more boring than a topic that has nothing to do with me.

Lynn wanted to get out of their circles early and have a class preview.

Yuven, on the other hand, was content to interfere with Lynn's learning.

Kakaya Yuven continued to interfere with Lynn's learning, but Lynn's grades never fell.

Theo was in even better shape.

It was in the metallurgical magic class that Theo demonstrated his talent.

"While normal metallurgical techniques involve metal extraction from ore, the generation of alloys, and coating by metal, metallurgical magic makes it not only easy for these to do so with magic formations and spells, but can even freely change one metal itself to another. Of course it doesn't mean omnipotent. Metallurgy by magic is temporary. If a certain blow is applied, the magic will be solved and it will return to its original substance. Please be aware that if you turn iron scraps and the like into gold pieces and distribute them to the market, you will be guilty of fraud. Your ultimate goal in this class is to turn iron ore into gold. Well, I think it's hard for all of you freshmen to make gold all of a sudden, so let's start with a relatively simple copper or silver area."

Dr. Surya of Metallurgical Magic will write and explain theories and techniques that produce the desired metal from iron ore on the blackboard.

Yuven looked melancholy at the magic formations and formulas depicted on the blackboard.

(You don't like metallurgy because you need shapes and math)

She also took this class last year but still seemed to have a hard time reading the first half of the textbook.

(Well, we'll have to do it. Only hard work.)

"Hey, look, Lynn," Theo said.

When Yuven looks at Theo, the practice ore paid for him emits a dull golden color. The paper laid under the metallurgical stone shows a magical formation with complex drawings of formulas and tattoos.

That was the magic team Theo wasn't supposed to have learned in class yet.

"Awesome. Theo. How did you do that?

"Something was written behind the textbook. I could do it if I did it the way it was. Lynn, you read from behind the textbook, too."

Gohon, and Dr. Surya cough up.

"Garfield. Let me give you a unit of metallurgical magic. Just come to the staff room later. Lynn, you too."

"What? Why even me..."

Yuven's frustration recruited.

(Uh, uh-huh)

Yuven slaps the pen he had in frustration toward his notebook.
