Tou no Madoushi

Episode 34: Royalty and Slavery

Lynn and Ilyweer walked in the woods on the road.

I was walking in a group with people who went into the woods at the same time for a while, but every time they split up, the numbers halved.

There were other people stopping along the way to collect plants and go into the bushes, and eventually Lynn and Ilyweer were alone.

Every time Lynn and Ilyweer split up, they chose the way to go in the direction of letting the wand go and falling after standing on the ground.

"Is that okay? Pick your way in this proper way."

"Yeah, because it doesn't make that much of a difference which road you follow during the Blue Area. And they would have given you a map, wouldn't they?

"Yes."

Lynn takes the map from the bag.

The map shows an overall view of the forest and several campsites that serve as meeting points, as well as routes to the campsite.

There are finely mapped and still opaque zones in the map.

While most of the blue areas were mapped quite finely, the deeper they went with the yellow area, the more opaque they became.

"It's a map. Indicate your current location."

When Lynn casts a spell, the light lights up inside the blue area.

It's a light that shows where they are.

The route they follow is not the shortest route to the campsite, but it also doesn't mean they're that far off the route.

"Looking to make it by 5pm?" Illyweer speaks to Lynn looking at the map.

"Yeah, it doesn't seem like a problem"

"Then let's move on a little more this way."

I wanted to split up again. Illyweer sets his cane on the ground and releases his hand. The wand fell to the right. Lynn and Ilyweer took the road to the right.

The occasional pampering light flashes around Lynn as she walks in the woods.

The ring is burning down the poisonous worm that's about to attack Lynn.

Nevertheless, the number of poisonous worms had been slightly higher since earlier.

It's still a dangerous forest to get in without a ring, Lynn thought.

On the other hand, there was no light blinking around Illyweer.

Even the bugs feel the strength of her Spirit's power and are distant.

Lynn felt a bottomless strength against Illyweer.

The two chatted because they had nothing to do in particular on the road.

"Has Lynn ever been trained as a magician outside of Tower College?

"No, I've only trained as a magician in college. Was Mr. Illyweer trained outside the Tower College?

"I was educated in magic guidance from an early age in a royal institution. It was plentiful, but I missed you a little bit for not having many friends. But did Lynn really put out The Sword of Vespe for the first time? Hmm, it's still amazing."

"No, not so much."

"No, that's not quite what I can do. Well, I put out a Vespe sword in my childhood department."

"No, not so much... Huh?

"I've worked so hard so many times I can finally do it. I still think Lynn is amazing."

"Ha, ha"

Lynn was a little depressed. Because I secretly thought that I wasn't the only one at this age who could put out the sword of Vespe, and that I might have a gifted talent sleeping in me.

(There's a top up there.)

My confidence in Lynn swayed a little.

How rare is my talent at all, and how well is that talent positioned within the entire Magic Instructor?

Lynn couldn't help but worry.

"The fact that you are not trained in magic instruction outside of college… you are of the civilian class"

"No, I'm from the... slave class."

"Oh, so you didn't have a last name on the roster"

Lynn answers honestly, but makes her face red and lean down.

"Then I'll be lucky."

"What?"

"I'm royal, but I wanted to know about the living direction of the lower class because of the need to govern. There are also many slave and working classes in the Kingdom of Wingard. Since there are only royalty and senior nobility around me from time to time, it's a difficult experience to get along with someone like you. It's also a good place for the college to meet people who are not in this position."

That's what Illyweer smiles at.

Lynn took her face seriously.

I can't feel the feelings of contempt for Lynn there, the lies coming from the social dictionary, the falsity, the relative attitude, etc.

Her smile was cloudless everywhere.

She felt sincerely happy to interact with Lynn.

(You're a strange man. I can't believe I appreciate the slave class......)

"You're changing"

"Really?"

"This is the first time I've ever been told to teach and learn to be a slave class."

"I try to think of anyone but myself as a teacher. In fact, I believe there is something I can learn from anyone. Lynn, what can you tell me?

Illyweer stares at Lynn. Lynn is dazed by the sincerity of his eyes.

"There's nothing I can teach someone like you… it doesn't seem like there's anything there"

Lynn leaned her face red again.

"Hmm. Then let's think about it together. This is today's challenge."

"Issue......?

"Yeah, it's a challenge for both of us to work together. What can you teach me? What can I learn from you? Let's think about it for both of us. Hopefully we can solve it while we get out of the woods."

That's what Illyweer laughs at.

Lynn tried to find her sincerity. I wonder why she wants to know about herself, about the situation of the slave class. What the hell do you want to hear from yourself?

But from her expression I could find nothing but pure curiosity.

"It's important to know about yourself. You also need to know what you can give others. Then could you let me first hear it from the direction of your life? Where are you, what are you doing, and how are you spending your time other than taking classes at the college? Talk to me."

I blinked again around Lynn's cheek so that the light of the ring could play patsy. The forest dwellers have tried to attack Lynn if there is a gap.
