Tou no Madoushi

Episode 130: Contraindicated Magic Studies

"I'm sorry about your master."

Dieneh said as he walked down the aisle of the college.

I was just on my way to the law class with Lynn.

"Yeah. Thanks"

I slipped into a corner with one student.

When he sees Lynn, he runs off as a jerk.

"Um... it's okay. Where's Dieneh? Walk with me."

Lynn said, blushing.

Rumors have been circulating that haven't been true in the college since Yuyne was deported.

"Never mind."

"But Dieneh's a senior nobleman, isn't he? You know, dating..."

"It's okay. If that's what you're going to lose, that means you're going out until then."

"Dieneh......"

"I'm going to know quite a bit about who you are. He's not the kind of person who dyes his hands illegally because his master is. Don't worry too much about it, either. Unfounded rumors will soon disappear."

Diene said in a crisp manner.

Lynn laughed vaguely.

Because it wasn't even a baseless rumor.

"That's right, what's Lynn going to do now, Master?

"Oh, that's it, but I'm just a few minutes away from graduation, and I was wondering if I could have no master"

"... I'll introduce you if you like with my handout"

"It's gonna be okay."

"Right. Right."

Diene pulled back without feeling pushy about the situation.

"Speaking of masters... it's a study."

Lynn was giddy.

"What? What?

"The magician always leaves his research in the form of a book, but he hasn't found Yuin's research yet."

"Heh. It is."

"It's strange. The police department's arrest was a surprise, and Yuyne seemed rather in a hurry, so she couldn't have had time to hide it."

"Sure... that's strange"

Lynn tried her best to disguise herself as a poker face.

Don't let Dieneh understand the inner tension.

"Well, if you're a 300 tier magician, you've got a lot of stash. There are many places where no one can stop for a detour when it comes to the people of the Magic Instructors Association. Maybe he hid it in a place where people don't usually stop by... or maybe his disciples have it"

"What? Apprentice?

"Oh, some of Yuin's disciples fled outside the tower after pursuing the authorities. There are rumors that one of them may have a research book."

"That's dangerous. We need to find him quickly."

"Well, that's interesting. Who that Yuin chose as his successor."

"Successor?

"Oh, the Magic Instructor lets his own disciples, whom he himself recognized as the best at the time of death, inherit his research books. If the circumstances are slightly different because of his arrest this time, but he nevertheless gave his own institute to one of his disciples, it would mean that he nominated him as his substantive successor. Yuin's lack of possession means he nominated someone as his successor just before..."

"Hmm. Really?"

Lynn said in unintentional condition.

"Oh, I'm sorry. That wasn't what I was gonna tell you right now."

"Yeah. Never mind."

The two walked to the classroom, dragging a little awkward air.

Lynn thought.

I wonder how humans can really understand each other.

When Lynn returned to her room, she closed the lock on the door and then removed The Contraindicated Magic Study from the drawer.

Some of the contents were elusive, and as they were still written in unreadable letters by Lynn, they were indecipherable, but only the part of "Black Dragon Summoning" could be deciphered to the point where Lynn was also quite detailed just because it was an area of expertise.

From what I read, Yuin didn't seem so confident in The Black Dragon Summon.

It says, "Is it really okay with this magic formation," or even, "Maybe it's not silf you need for 'Black Dragon Summoning'"?

That would mean that the series of crimes that I did with Lynn in place was a pretty rough one.

Lynn had recently come to think back a lot about the last few days she spent with Yuin.

Now I feel like he was always to blame.

Maybe I already knew I would be caught not far away by then.

At any rate, Yuyne's giving Lynn the study meant she nominated herself as her successor.

(Why not, Yuin. Why did you take me as a successor to this research...)

With that in mind, Lynn, in her spare time, was deciphering The Contraindicated Magic Study with a dictionary of magic letters in one hand.

I was wondering myself.

Even though it is dangerous to just possess this research book.

But if we decipher this institute, we can get to Yuin's sincerity.

I felt that way.

Lynn goes to a certain passage as she turns the page.

"" Rafiyui's Book of Magic, "which he says exists in the 200 hierarchy. If I could only read this, I might know something about The Black Dragon Summon."

One raucous afternoon, Lynn was summoned by Held to come all the way out of the city.

It was a lonely place with no one else around.

(The promised place should be here)

"Lynn. This way."

He only invites his hands out of the shadows.

Lynn rushed toward the invitee.

"I guess they haven't put it on"

"Yeah, I'm fine"

"Fine then. Right here."

Ahead Held took Lynn, there was a magic formation painted on the wall.

When Held casts a spell, the doors of different dimensions open.

"It's only an hour from now."

"Yes. Okay. Excuse me. I even need you to do this."

"What. Never mind."

Herd said with a loving smile.

Lynn dives through the dimensional magic that Held prepared for me.

Diving through Held's dimensional magic, it was a sprawling green place ahead.

There is no one around.

Spring, summer, autumn and winter grasshoppers were not pervasive at Lynn's feet.

It was an unlikely combination as a vegetation.

It must have been a forest managed by a magician.

I found an odd chipmunk patterned chunk of phosphorus chirping.

There was someone there for you.

Illyweer sleeps nagging, brought to a large cushion covered in chipmunk patterned fur.

Lynn approached her, wondering what the heap of fur she was bringing, that was.

Nevertheless, she slept comfortably.

So much so that I don't think I'd notice if they attacked me now.

There was no Griffon nearby, either, which I always take with me.

I can hear Lynn roaring "grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr" where she says she can touch her in a later step.

A mountain of black and white brings its neck, and strips its fangs to Lynn's side.

The black and white mountain was a giant tiger.

Illyweer's eyes open tightly in the wake of the tiger's roar.

"Oh, are you here? Lynn."

"Yep. Master Illyweer"

"Well done for coming. Then Lynn, relax on the back of the white tiger, too. White tiger, he is not the enemy. You don't have to intimidate me like that. Be quiet."

That's what Illyweer said. Finally, the White Tiger lays down his stripped fangs and falls asleep on the raw again.

Lynn comes next to her, as Ilyweer tells her, and sits back with the white tiger on her back.

This is a private room in Illywia on 100 floors.

Because it is specially attached by her, it is overflowing with greenery despite being in the tower.

Nor will Duke ever find me.

Lynn, who had been banned from the Tea Party because of the noise with Duke in the example, had become avoidable by the senior nobles of Wingard, thus making him sneak in with Illyweer.

Lynn meditated her eyes by keeping her back in the comfortable white tiger's body hair.

I feel comfortable when the temperature and beat of the white tiger come through.

"I see. I also know Master Illywia will fall asleep. I can't tell you how comfortable it is."

"Isn't that right?

"Yeah, a softer touch than any futon..."

"Hehe."

The two snuggled up and meditated their eyes.

"Dear Mr. Illyweer. How can you be so good to me?

"Because Lynn. You are a child without affection. Isn't that pathetic?

Exactly.

Lynn didn't get hurt when she said it.

Rather, I thought you finally met someone who understands who you are.

"Why do you think that?

"I asked Silf.

"Is it canning? Mr. Illyweer uses cheating hands, too."

"Oh, I'll use a pretty cheap hand."

Lynn's cold attitude towards affection was prompted by certain events when she was still in Miln territory.

Miln's lord has always appealed to his surroundings as his successor by saying he loves his eldest son.

But one day it ended abruptly.

Turns out his eldest son is not his child.

Then he treated his eldest son cold.

Intentionally turned away and drove him even too far into battlefield.

The eldest son died in vain in a battlefield far from his homeland.

Apparently, it wasn't the eldest son that the lord loved, it was his lineage.

Compared to his lineage, it's nothing more than the ability of his eldest son, his personality, and his memories with him.

The successor had a second son.

What shocked Lynn was that everyone was sympathetic to the Lord's deeds.

"There's no way I can love you. A child who's not even his own son."

Since this one incident, Lynn has become skeptical of affection.

While affection made people blind, devotional, it never seemed like there was an ugly desire, a shallow lower heart, and a grumpy hypocrisy behind it.

Lynn began to look at those who preach the dignity of affection with the inner pity of what he did not put on his face.

I'm not greatly depressed that Lynn gets cold or scorned by people because I don't expect much from love or anything in that hand.

(I guess it's weird. My thoughts)

"It's okay."

Illyweer told me to see through Lynn's mind.

"What?"

"You're not the only one who feels that way. Everyone is afraid. Love something. You too..."

Illyweer reaches for Lynn.

Lynn trembled freaked to fear something.

"You don't have to"

Illyweer gently stroked Lynn's forehead as she said so.

"... Yes"
