Episode 138: Alfld to be sealed off

"You're a bird human with an awesome number."

Alma said as she looked out the college window.

A frightening number of bird humans (harpies) had written magic formations on the ceilings and walls of Alfrid with their brushes.

Ceilings and walls usually decorated so that the blue sky and horizon continued everywhere, but now filled with black letters and symbols, what a disastrous landscape.

"Is that all manipulated by a guy named Falsaras?

"Oh, it looks like Farsalas is going to seal off Alfredo"

Diene said.

"Blocked?"

"Mithril was the one used for the bomb's material, which means that the person who planted it is likely to be more than 200 hierarchical people"

"I don't learn how to make Mithril products in college."

Theo joined the conversation as he wrote a letter.

"Yes, that means that a magician enrolled in more than 200 hierarchies made a misrill bomb in more than 200 hierarchies, came all the way down to Alfld and had his slaves activate the bomb. While it's a mystery why the killer is after Alflud, there are two main means by which the hierarchical demon conductor comes to Alflud. Elevator and Dimensional Magic. It's hard to believe the killer used the elevator. Using public elevators, it is recorded by the Great Spirit who, when and on which elevators traveled. So the killer's means of movement is probably 'dimensional magic'."

"So you're saying you're going to write a magic formation and tie the line to prevent intrusion in 'Dimensional Magic'"

"Yeah, so at least the next time the killer brings in the bomb, he'll use the elevator. We can squeeze the suspect in perfectly."

"You're the owner of an incredible magic power to seal off a city. A 500-story magic master."

Theo said as if he was frightened.

"That was awesome. Someone called that falsaras. I gave that Illyweed a fucking order."

I said it like Alma had hovered.

"I can't believe we can make the royalty obey. Is the authority of the 500 hierarchical magician that great?

Theo said with a slightly strange look on his face.

There is no stopping the hand of writing letters in the midst of it.

He had already written more than 10 letters.

It still seemed like I was going to write to see the paper placed instead.

"More powerful than authoritative, anyway. It is said that if you are also a 500 tier demon mentor, you can fight each other with small nations alone"

"Mutually with the country?

"That's all the power and influence. In their hands, there's no way to form an army comparable to the military might of a small country."

"I see. Even the royal nobility of the three kingdoms would be in danger if they defied it."

"I also think it makes sense of performance that Falsaras bothered to let Master Illyweer do that. To show the inhabitants of Alfrid their own power. I guess it also means restraint on the bomber. Anyway, this incident put on the prestige of the tower..., oops, looks like another explosion happened"

Dieneh was about to say, and I heard an explosion from afar.

Black smoke is about to rise.

"Awesome amount of smoke. That's downtown."

I said as I watched Alma eat in the window.

"There must be another casualty."

I said as Diene looked out the window feeling sorry for me.

"I see. Security was laid on the giant tree, so now we've got an explosion in the opposite direction behind us."

Theo only said without stopping his hand in writing the letter.

"... Theo. What were you doing earlier?

Alma asked in surprise.

"Buying Essentials"

"No, why?

"If censorship and regulation were to be strengthened in the future, perhaps Alfld's distribution would be disrupted and chronic shortages of goods would strike the entire city. If that happens, the price will go up like an asshole, so I'll buy up the goods within the moment.

(This guy... it's a gold account at a time like this)

Alma glanced.

"Theo, do you think this case is going to be prolonged?

Diene asked.

"I don't know. I don't get it. I just don't think it's gonna end so well like this. So no matter what happens, I want to be prepared."

"So, where did Lynn go at this hour?"

Alma asked.

"Missing."

I said it like Theo was nothing.

"What?"

"From the timing, I thought you were probably abducted by Princess Illywia."

Diene told me to add.

"Really, you guys..."

Alma nodded with her hands on her forehead.

It was announced that various emergency measures would be temporarily imposed by Falsaras, including the censorship of elevators, enhanced surveillance of slaves, a ban on movement through 'dimensional magic', the seizure of misrils and a ban on bringing in misril products.

As Theo expected, Alfld's distribution went into havoc.

Everyone rushed to purchase and return items before they were censored, and rushed to transport across the hierarchy.

The elevator was loaded with merchandise.

Some of them ate fines. But enough for a vendor to show up to pack supplies in a human elevator.

A vendor who has been unluckily seized of Mithril can be a bankruptcy concern.

A chronic shortage of goods struck Alfredo because of insecurity related to security and fear of seizure through censorship and a large number of vendors closing the deal quickly.

Anxiety aroused anxiety, and the city was chaotic, but Pharsalas, without fright, created a blockade system.

"Tighten all misrills out of Alfrid. Seize it without question from a vendor with a misrill. The same goes for the misrills that have been brought in. Eliminate Mithril from this city."

While Alfld was chaotic with bombings and censorship, Lynn and Ilyweer were in the sun in a 100-story room.

This room had received a special and much more solar stone light, and the overflowing greenery of the four seasons eased the glare and allowed him to enjoy a relaxing sunbath.

The two are following and talking, keeping their backs in the belly of the white tiger.

This much contact would have allowed it.

"Um, Mr. Illyweer?

"What is it?

"Why am I here?

"Because I brought you here, didn't I?

Illyweer said as if it were even nothing.

"Ha."

Lynn came to this room sometime after breaking up with Falsaras, caught by a gust of wind as she was intent on looking for Flora.

Illyweer, who was barred from entering Alfludohe by Falsaras, predicted that 'Dimensional Magic' would be sealed, taking Lynn to the 100 tiers as soon as possible.

"It's dangerous to be in Alfld right now. Be quiet here until the commotion subsides."

"Yeah, yeah. Really?"

Lynn gave up arguing with her about her freedom and rights regarding her personality.

One letter arrives at her.

Illyweer glances at her with a groan.

"Apparently Mithril is being seized in Alfrid"

"Miss Lille?

"Looks like we're going back to the logistics records and taking them without question. You were right to bring out Mithril first."

"Guys, let's panic."

"Yeah, we're all anxious."

Illyweer gently turns her arm around Lynn's shoulder.

"Isn't that a little excessive? Sure, it was an unbroken case."

"Lynn, they're not afraid of bombs or death. I'm afraid of anxiety itself."

"The anxiety itself?

"Yeah. People can beat most of their fears if they're ready. Even the fear of death."

"How can you beat the fear of death?

"You can do it. A soldier once said this to me. 'I will die in the next battle. But I will never die in vain. I give this life for the princess. If, in exchange for my life, at the dawn when I have dropped the castle, please praise me, O princess'. I promised him."

"So what happened to that soldier?

"He has become a man who will not return as proclaimed. They burst into the enemy's walls alive. I was brave enough for my body to fall apart. But thanks to that achievement, Wingard was able to win the war."

"Why..."

"He was suffering from an incurable disease. It was cursed by a troublesome warcraft. There was nothing to lose in the last few years. He was ready to die. His face was clear as he made death his present."

……

"Let me give you another example. There are people in the world who run to suicide, but that is the action they take when future anxiety outweighs the fear of death. They choose to cut their own lives to escape future anxiety. Well, anyway, people do whatever reckless or hilarious things they do to escape anxiety. Even overcoming the fear of death."

"Then what's Alfrid now..."

"Now the city of Alfrid is being attacked by uncertainty, one way or the other. I don't know what the killer's purpose or motive is. I don't even know why this is happening. I don't know if this city will function safely in the future, and I don't know if I will live or die until tomorrow."

"Right. So we're all so desperate, to get away from something..."

"Though..."

Illyweer hugs Lynn's head like a pillow and sticks it to her own face.

"You don't have to be anxious. Because that's how you're in my arms."

I did feel comfortable in her arms.

As if that would eliminate all anxiety.

"While we're all in a hurry, we'll both enjoy ourselves here."

Illyweer buries his face on Lynn's head to see how it feels.

Lynn's soft hair tickles her nose tip.

From his hair I smelled the smell of hair cleanser and Pell Rat.

Illyweer, who likes the smell of the beast, just sneers at it.

Lynn wanted to stay here with her like this, but the Flora thing turned her head.

I think she was asking Lynn for help.

"Mr. Illyweer. It is time to complete Mr. Falsalas' bond. And then I won't be able to go back to Alfredo for a while."

"Right."

Illyweer replied with no interest.

"I'm going back to Alfredo."

Lynn said quietly, but clearly.

"Mr. Illyweer. Thank you for bringing me to this room. But I have to go back to Alfredo. [M] Alfld has friends, and he's got things to do."

"Really?"

Illyweer turned out to be a heartless, unfortunate face, but untied Lynn's restraining arm.

"Please be careful"

"Yes. I'll be back here again. Because I want to give something to Mr. Illyweer."

"Oh, I'm looking forward to that."

Illyweer smiled.

"Please rely on Held as soon as something happens. He should be able to help."

Lynn returned with Alfludohe.

A few days later, the Birdman (Harpy) finishes writing the magic formation and the junction is activated.

Alfrid was sealed off by Falsaras.

It was as if only this city had been cut off from the world.

Alfrid was sealed off.

But nevertheless, the next incident occurred.

Once again, it was a bombing aimed at a public facility, in a crowded place, in a crowded time zone.

Another crime with a slave child and a gift box resulted in frightening casualties.

The scene becomes a temporary noise.

Hatred for the killer has also risen in response, as has dissatisfaction with Farsalas, who cannot arrest the mastermind forever.

It also solicits the frustration of the authorities.

"What do you mean? Why would a Mithril bomb flow to Alfld when you're censoring so much?"

"Perhaps the killer had already smuggled a certain amount of Mithril bombs into Alfredo."

"Even so, it's weird. They say they're rooting out Mithrills from all over the city."

"I don't know, it's stockpiled in a noble hall..."

"Hey, don't say anything rare"

"There's no way the aristocracy's gonna make a case like this on purpose"

They whispered hissohisso not to sound Pharsalus.

It was the authorities seizing misrills all over the city, but still only noble halls had not stepped in.

Falsaras teeth.

As it is, his authority will be lost.

"If this happens, it's martial law. Use the army. Send a sentry all over the city of Alfrid. Capture the suspicious from one end. Don't put slaves on the table."

Starting the next day, slave soldiers with swords walked around the city of Alfld.

If you want to show me anything at all suspicious or even talk to me in a corner of the city, I was called out to the gendarmerie who is on the lookout, and in some cases I was taken, captured, and imprisoned.

Anyway, every thing is justified to deter the bombing.

Lynn visited Lord Edianel's mansion, but the gatekeeper didn't catch me.

"Go home. Master Edianel is not here right now. There's a directive that no one without a promise or permission should be allowed to walk through the gates."

"You don't have to meet Dear Edianel. Looking for a kid named Flora. He must be serving this mansion."

"I don't know him like that. Just go home."

In the end, Lynn was paid in advance.

(Damn. If I could at least get in touch with Mr. Held. I can't reach you only at this time. Where the hell are you going?)

"Chip. That's depressing. The gendarmes."

Theo said a foolish thing about Lynn to his opponent in the carriage.

After heading to Lord Edianel's mansion, Lynn was riding Theo and his carriage back home.

Earlier, Theo was being interrogated by soldiers with swords, suddenly told to get off where he was in the carriage.

He was suspicious because he was carrying a large quantity of luggage in Alfredo, where supplies were scarce.

The guards have cautioned against "acting too suspiciously to incite residents' anxiety" when breaking up.

"What doesn't seem to stir up anxiety. You're the ones who are fuelling anxiety, you idiots."

"There are investigative hands everywhere in the city. I wonder if you're willing to go around rooting out warehouses all over the city."

"This one's up for business. What are you thinking? The guy who's blowing up all over the place."

(Flora, are you involved in this noise?

When Lynn was delayed in her thinking, she heard a familiar crouched voice.

"Let go. What did I do?"

When Lynn looks at the voice through the carriage window, someone is being taken by the gendarmerie.

Wrinkles leaning between glasses and eyebrows, a nervous look.

He was a familiar figure to Lynn.

"Mr. Caro."

"Oh, Lord Lynn."

"Um, let him go. He knows me."

Lynn convinced the gendarmerie to let Kalo go.

"What's wrong with you? Why the hell are you in the gendarmerie..."

"It's information control. I almost got arrested because I wrote a critical article to the authorities"

"Oh, no."

"Whatever. Our newspapers were temporarily banned from publication. By the way, how does Lord Lynn know anyone in the gendarmerie?

"I'm part of the investigation team. We're here to help solve the case..."

"Oh, did I? I didn't expect to infiltrate the institutional side. That's Lord Lynn, I can't get out of it. Good luck with that. If you make a move here, you'll be one step closer to a civilian leap."

"Huh? ha"

(I don't think this is the case if the civilians are saying something right now)

Lynn felt uncomfortable with Karo's attitude, but kept quiet.

More than that, I needed to hear something else now.

"Um, Mr. Caro. Don't you know a kid named Flora?

"Flora? No, you don't know me like that. What the hell are you doing here?

"I'm a slave-class child. I don't know much about her, either, but I still feel like I'm involved in this case."

"I see. You can't overlook it if you do."

"Yeah, whatever. Anyway, let me know if you get any information."

"Of course it is. I'll do anything for the civilian leap."

Lynn became frustrated with Karo's attitude, which extends beyond this to only think about the political situation, but did not say anything.

Now it's a waste of time arguing with him.

(We need to find Flora soon. I have a bad feeling if I don't hurry)

Retrospectively a few days ago, when the Pharsalas junction was not yet complete.

The faces of Marche Ansier were gathered in 200 hierarchies to discuss.

"Soon, the junction will be completed. The censorship of Falsaras is getting tougher."

"It's just getting harder to bring bombs into Alfredo."

Luciola sighed.

"What. There are as many bombs carried inside Alfld as there are. 'Dimensional magic' is no longer available for movement between hierarchies, but 'Dimensional magic' can be used for movement within Alfld"

"Nevertheless, it's not safe for us to go down to Alfredo."

Widget said.

"Now, when I get down to Alfrid, that's all I get suspicious and interrogated. If you suck, you'll be imprisoned from your company."

"You need someone to help you."

"Rest assured. I've already hit my hand. Come in."

Forta spoke toward the dark passage leading to the room.

"Let me introduce you to our new people. Make yourself famous for dimensional magic, near Princess Illywia, Herd Machias."

A hold that I had withheld outside the room comes in.

The back of his hand was engraved with a Marche Ansier crest.
