Tou no Madoushi
Episode 147: The City of Collapsed Water
Swinlill was still lively today.
There are a lot of ships coming and going in the canal, big and small, and people are actively trading goods.
"Hmm?"
A wizard who stands at the tip and manipulates the ship drops his eyes on the waters of the canal.
"What's up?
A demon conductor who was falling asleep on the sign talks to me.
"The water level is rising"
"Is that it? True"
"You can't manipulate the flow of water."
"Look! The ocean is rougher."
Someone raised their voice.
When a wizard who stands at the tip of his head looks closer to the coast, there are usually rough waves standing off the coast that do not stand one wave at a time.
"Whoa. Is that an adjustment anomaly?
"What are you doing, the association!?
"No......, no. This feeling..."
(Magic? That's also very powerful...)
"Hey, look. What is that?
Someone raised their voice again.
As the Mage looked back, a silver dull shining ship was approaching the coast.
I thought so. I've forcibly broken into the harbor.
Then the crew descends from the deck of the ship and rolls out to the city.
People blued.
Because when they landed, they began to destroy buildings, take supplies, tie ropes to canoes and nab them.
Mass magic shelling also occurs from the deck of a pirate ship.
"A pirate!
"Run!"
The people who worked rush to load the ship with valuables to escape.
But the ship did not move as it wished.
You can't manipulate the flow of water the way you think.
The ship is drawn to the pirate ship.
The pirates were strangely highly equipped.
Those who had not prepared for battle had no choice but to abandon their ships and loads and flee to the city's high ground.
"Let's start with food. Then take away the magic props, the warcraft and sequentially if you can afford it."
A man like a pirate commander gives instructions to his men.
It was a somewhat more dominant group for pirates.
These are the pirates who have been snorting at the looting for some time now, but when empty guns are sounded from Mithril's ship, they stop their hands perfectly.
"Guards are here."
"Hurry up. Run."
The pirates hurried back and boarded the ship.
The ship immediately rows out to the shore.
Captain, this is another Mithril ship.
"Chi. That ship again?"
Recently, the defense team was left to be beaten by the pirates on the Mithrill ship.
The grievances of the inhabitants had reached their peak, and the defense team had been named to the jade.
"The pirate confession is trying to escape to the coast."
"Don't miss it. Follow him!"
The defense forces persevere around Mithril's ship for a while.
That's how you're chasing him, and one man represents himself on the pirate ship.
He was a man with a mask on and a sword-shaped cane on his back.
(Hmm? What's that?
As one of the defensemen gazed, the masked man put his hand in the void.
(What? Are you casting any spells?
Then, the coast, which was immediately quiet, waved out violently, with black clouds standing over it and storms hitting the defensive squad's ships.
Security ships that are short and not so sturdy in material are likely to be overturned and damaged.
On the other hand, the tall and sturdy Mithril ship proceeded slowly through the storm without a backwinding rough wave, a blowing storm or anything.
Eventually, the pirate ship disappears across the horizon.
"Damn. Have you escaped again?"
The crew made a uniform look of regret.
"I can't. Not on this ship. There's no way we can fight a ship built with such a misrill."
"At least if we have a Mithrill ship here..."
"Will you still deploy a new ship up there?
……
The captain put his arms around the questions from his men and looked difficult.
No way were the secretaries obsessed with the rights of the new port, not turning the budget around to strengthen the defensive corps, etc.
"Anyway, I'll hang on to the secretary again from my side. Until then, do your best with your current equipment."
That's what the captain said and managed to forgive his men.
Tidro and the others had been paid in front of the association.
"Please let me see the Secretary. We need to talk to the Secretary about the pirates on the Mithril ship."
The gatekeeper looked at Tidoro and the others' outfits with a frigid odor.
"Hmm. What the hell is an intern from the 100 Hierarchy Mage (Mayard) going to say about Swinlill's defense?"
"If you let Master Vanessa through, I'll understand."
With that said, the gatekeeper laughed nimmari.
"I'm sorry to hear that. The secretary took his place."
"What?"
"Master Vanessa has resigned as Secretary. I'm not even inside the association right now."
"Oh no..."
"That's why. Look, you know I can't see the secretary anymore, right? I'm home. I'm home.
Tidro and the others were paid in advance.
(Damn. He said he could make a connection with Vanessa because of it. Start over again)
The pirates who fled to the coast, Toto Dorias and the others, stopped the ship from moving as far as the sea plains, the guards, the port and the canal came to a place where there was nothing to see.
Magically, the surrounding waves and tidal streams, stopping the wind and turning it down, stopped the ship from being slight as if it had been pulled up to the ground.
Lynn goes up to the deck of the ship and looks up at the sky.
There lies a water platform (water plate), which is a floor of 260 floors, with a ceiling of 250 floors.
From time to time, the body skin of the warcraft that inhabited the water reflected on the light of the solar stone and glistened through the water plates.
It was like the light emitted by the various waves of the sea, or like the stars that coloured the night sky, shining bright and pale.
It was a beautiful water sky for what we were looking at, but it was precisely this water sky that was now holding Lins back from heading to the 260 hierarchy.
(If you're within the 250 tier, you can go anywhere as long as you have this Mithril ship, but it's not just the ship to get to the upper tier...)
"Lynn, how many demon stones have we gathered?
Dorias talks to me.
"Ah, yes. About 100 kilometers..."
"Oh, have we gathered so much already? Then we can finally break through this guy and get to the 260th floor."
Dorias also said looking up at the water ceiling.
Swinlill was separated every ten tiers by a thick partition of water called a water platform (water plate).
There were two main ways to break through the water platform (water plate) and go to the upper tier.
One is how to use the elevators' canal lifts (Canal Elevators) 'that pass through giant trees.
The canal lift (Canal Elevator) is a spiral canal type elevator in a giant tree.
Only 200 hierarchical magicians who own ships are available.
The ships that sailed were also recorded in their operations by the Great Spirit.
In short, College Magic Instructors Dorias and Lynn were not available, and even if they did, it is a rope at that moment.
Another way is to build a tower and pull a canal in it.
It is not illegal to build towers of height that do not cross the city with the city, and there were several magicians in the city of Swinrill who independently operated about ten stories of towers and a 'canal lift (Canal Elevator)'.
But it required a land of cohesive size and enormous funds.
Though Dorias the boulder, they cannot plant the land and the funds just to build the tower on this occasion.
"So you mean no hitter?
Lynn asked in panic.
"There's still a third way"
said Dorias.
"Break through the water plates on this Mithrill ship."
"What? On a boat? But..."
Lynn looked up into the sky.
From the Mithril ship with Linda to the water plateau (waterplate) on the 260 level is as high as the sky, and it's not as far as you can reach just by floating the ship a little or softly.
"It's expensive in the first place. The water table (water plate). How do you get up there?
What's more, it's thick.
Dorias stares at the water plateau (waterplate) with her glaring eyes narrowed.
The water table (water plate) was a little ground thick.
Bearing its water pressure and depth, it would require a submarine-like mechanism to float.
"What the hell are you going to do?
"Use 'feather whale'"
"'Winged Whale'? What? Hey, that's no way"
"That's not true. Fresia!"
When Dorias calls, a spirit appears beside him.
She was the daughter of an elf.
(This man is definitely Auria's daughter...)
"Fresia." Feather whale. "
When Dorias said so, she nodded cocklessly.
Fresia casts a spell towards the surface of the water.
From that deafening language it was found to be the language of the Sea Habitat Warcraft.
When Fresia finishes whining, the sea level suddenly rises like a mountain, and the Mithrill ship rises altitude after rocking gakun.
"Ugh, wow."
(Something... lift the ship from the sea...)
"This is the 'feather whale'. The only organism that can travel from a water platform (waterplate) to a water platform (waterplate) without using an elevator in Swinrill"
Dorias explained.
"All hands. Get in the boat. Close all doors. Like not getting a drop of water in it. We're gonna break through the water plates!
When Dorias instructed, the sailors rushed out, entering the ship, closing all doors and windows, and disconnecting the ship from contact with the outside air.
In the meantime, the ship was lifted and raised by the dong.
Eventually, the feathered giant aquatic warcraft, the Winged Whale, faces on the water and makes a big jump with the Mithril ship on its head.
"The feather whale" went straight into the water plateau (waterplate) above.
Mithril ships and "feather whales" had a lot of impact on the water platform (waterplate), wearing water ceilings and creating craters on flat water platforms (waterplate).
The crushed water falls into a 250 level water platform (water plate) as rubble.
The dust descent continued as a one-sided scour happened around.
whereas significant changes in water volume and mixing of water of two different weights resulted, for some time, in abnormal changes in water levels in 250 and 260 strata,
Eventually the two water platforms (waterplates) were restored to calm by the wonderful adjusting action of Swinrill.
By the time Dorias entered the 260-story water platform (waterplate), Lord Albanero was steadily engaged in the management of the new port.
"Bring your magic stones and magic props into the harbor. It doesn't matter if it costs a little money. Concentrate all the magic in Swinlill on the harbor."
The new port was still unstable, though development had already begun.
More magic was needed to float the land over swinlill water, which is less buoyant than normal.
Gathering magic is the quickest way to gather spirits and fairies in the place.
And the quickest way to collect spirits and fairies was to collect demonic stones and magic props in the place.
"Lord Albanero, we don't have enough places to collect any more demonic stones and props"
"Then build a tower. Hurry. Don't delay Spyrna or Lados."
"Lord Albanero!
Suddenly, a man stood in front of Lord Albanero walking down the hall.
Get down on your knees and take a direct action stance.
Lord Albanero, please listen to me.
"What are you? No promises, no disrespect."
"Please forgive me for the disrespect that I suddenly see you. I'm the captain of 250 ranks of defense."
"Defense team? You're out of my jurisdiction. If you need anything, tell the Secretary."
"No. Lord Albanero, it has to be you"
The defensive captain was gravely aware that nothing would move unless the current secretary spoke to the heavy towns of the three powers, especially Lord Albanero, because of his aristocratic puppets.
"I'm in a hurry."
"Busy with me. Later, please."
"Please, just ten minutes."
The man in the defensive captain said on his knees to block Lord Albanero's destination.
Lord Albanero stops for a moment.
"Public. Do you hear about pirates roughing up 250 hierarchies?
"Pirate? What's that?
"I'm a pirate manipulating a ship made of Mithrills."
"Mithril's ship? Don't be silly. There's no way that stuff could float over this swinlill heavy water, is there?
"That's what's really floating."
"Says the idiot off too. Only the outside will be painted with silver foil, and the contents will be a wooden falsehood."
"But it was actually going through the storm. No rough waves, no storms, no freaks. We're moving slowly over the ocean..."
"That is what is decided in the deception. You're in trouble. Even the defensive captain can't seem to spot a squid like that. I'm done talking. Get out of here."
"Please take it there. Lord Albanero, please deploy a ship to the defense against Mithril's ship. If you can't do that, at least strengthen your coastal defenses to keep residents safe..."
"Say stupid. If we do that and poorly augment our armaments, will the Council suspect us of rebellion? I'm not saying anything rare to you. I'm done talking. I'll let you go."
"Lord Albanero, take a look there. That Mithril ship is not all that matters. It may involve the critical survival of Swinlill…"
"Is that why you're telling me to do something? Based on your vague reasoning, you want me to mount a council approval and secure a budget? How hard do you know that is? We need enormous rooting and gold. You want me to do that? To make your job easier? Tell the idiot to take the rest of the day off. Why should I go that far? I'll let you through."
"But, public. The scene is already at its limit. We must fight the Mithril ship in the storm on a wooden ship. If you pull back like this, you'll have a face that fits your people..."
"It's tough. I'll let you go now. Come on, it's been ten minutes. This is a waste of time. Unlike you, I'm busy."
Lord Albanero pushed back the shoulder of the defensive captain, still stubbornly immobile, to move on.
An alarm beep sounded aboard Mithril drifting underwater.
It's an alarm that informs us that the ship is running out of fuel.
(I have to refill the fuel)
The management of the Magic Furnace, which generates the buoyancy of the ship, was Lynn's role.
Lynn took the magic props she looted from the warehouse and headed to the magic furnace.
He opened the lid of the magic furnace and threw canes, rings, shoes and hats into the brilliant and burning furnace.
The magic props thrown in quickly melt and turn into magic, then into the buoyancy of the ship.
It was to move this' buoyancy-generating magic furnace 'that Dorias looted the magic props.
A ship made of misthrills is too heavy to float even on the sea water.
Less buoyant than normal water, even less able to float on swinlill water.
For this reason, it was necessary to keep this' buoyancy generating magic furnace 'running in order to proceed with the ship.
And the only way to move the Buoyancy Generation Magic Furnace is to keep melting the magic props.
Ten hours had elapsed since Mithril's ship dived into a 260-story water platform (waterplate) with the help of the Feather Whale.
People were waiting to get up on the water again, now or now.
If a ship ruptures while breaking through a water platform (water plate), there will be no sailors left but sea algae chips.
None of the humans had ever gone up the hierarchy in such a ruinous way.
Everyone was waiting in the boat with anxiety in their faces.
The only thing you can count on is the sturdiness of the misrills and the buoyancy emitted by the magic furnace.
I didn't want to pray that Dorias' calculations I designed were accurate.
When Lynn is stuck in front of the magic furnace, the sound of something bumping into her sounds on board.
Looks like a warcraft swimming underwater hit a ship.
Earlier, the ship made noises such as "Missy" and "Mekki" whenever the Warcraft was hit, informing the sailors that the Mithrill was ringing.
Subsequently, Lynn felt her tympanic membrane compressed, struck by a tinnitus called Keane.
Evidence of a step-by-step change in water pressure as the depth of the ship changes.
Lynn was surprised to see if the ship was really surfacing.
Now the Lins were supposed to be diving in less buoyant water than normal.
If the buoyancy emitted by the magic furnace is not enough, the ship will rather be falling and eventually it will be thrown out of the water platform (waterplate) and fall upside down.
That way, no matter how sturdy the Mithril ship is, the impact of the drop must make it a piece of wood dust.
Suddenly, Gakun and a big shake hit the ship.
The water pressure is gone and the tinnitus subsides.
Outside light plunges in through the window onto the ship, which was dark.
Lynn was hazy.
"What? What's going on?
"Your tinnitus is gone."
"I'm out of the water!
People on board run out of the butterflies to see the view outside through the glass window.
Are we falling or are we surfacing now?
Fresh air came in when the window was opened.
Seagulls flapped their wings over their heads, and a peek underneath them was the sea level.
The ship is shaken by the waves, but there are no signs of falling.
The Mithril ship was floating on a 260-story water platform (waterplate).
When Lynn went up to the deck, the ceilings of a number of different colors had spread (the number of solar stones had increased) than they had ever seen above.
The sailors cheer.
Deceiving tower surveillance, no one noticed, and the Dorias, who had moved from the 250th floor to the 260th, snorted into piracy again.
One of my buddies rushed in under the Tidoros watching the giant tree elevator.
"Hey, I hear Mithril's ship just showed up on level 260."
"What!?
"Have you raised the hierarchy? How the hell..."
(Chuckles. It's climbing)
Tidro looked nearby as he bit his back teeth.
Lynn, who checked inside the demon warehouse, went to report to Dorias.
"Sourcing (looting) of demonic props is going well. Tomorrow, we're going to be able to break through 270 floors of water plates."
"Uhm. Good luck"
Dorias nodded after looking at Lynn's submitted list of demon warehouses.
"Sounds kind of scary."
"Oh, it wasn't a big deal to say 260 hierarchies"
(But that's odd. The response on the part of the association is too null. Is something wrong?
Dorias conceived.
"Would you like to gather some information?"
"Gathering information…?
"Oh, I'll dive into the city"
"Okay. I'll be ready."
Lynn and Dorias wore masks and got off the ship once.
Get out the boat and dive into the city's canals.
In the meantime, the Mithrill ship wraps itself in fog and keeps its appearance hidden.
"What do you say? The comfort of the new shoes."
Dorias asked Lynn as she walked through the city.
"Yeah, that sounds good"
Lynn made sure of that comfort as she stepped on the ground with her new shoes.
Shoes don't fit perfectly into Lynn's foot size and get uneven.
It was unclear what skin it was made of, but it was a very well made good product.
These shoes will also withstand Dorias' speed.
I also haven't forgotten to put in the magic tattoo beforehand so that Tidro can get away with it as soon as he finds it.
"Do you want to set a code name?"
"Code name, is it?
"Oh, when you run into Tidro and the others, you're in trouble not to speak up."
"I see."
"I'm Rod. You're Neil. Nice to meet you, Neil."
"Okay, Mr. Rod."
Dorias and Lynn sought information and headed for the back street.
Dorias was very good at searching for a flying kina smell place for nasty information.
I immediately found such a tavern, and when I caught a man who looked familiar, I luxuriously drank alcohol and elicited information.
Then I found out:
that Vanessa resigned from the seat of Secretary.
That the current secretary is a decorative secretary manipulated by the heavy towns of the three powers, including Lord Albanero.
The Albanero public is fighting to build a tower in order to gather demonic stones and magic props in a newly built port.
"A new port?
"Yep. They've got a new island floating in 270 tiers of pocky empty waters for everything..."
"Oh, there's a new island."
"Everything seems to be large enough to change Swinlill's economic situation."
"Is that so awesome?
"They say it's enough to have a new commercial zone. The merchants have been stuffed for the past few days. Come on. Desperately trying to bite a piece of harbor rights."
"Hmm. A new island. If that's Big Island, you'll need a lot of magic to maintain it."
"Yes, the new island is full of tremendous numbers of canals and ships loaded with demonic stones."
"Hmm."
Dorias and Lynn returned to the ship.
"I can't believe the Secretary was resigning at this time. That's what happened."
Lynn said unexpectedly.
"It makes sense that security is the monkey. But it could be a boat for us to cross."
"What!?
"It means we're twisted. Let's go. Turn the ship toward the new 270-storey port."
"To port......?
"Yeah, if it's an island that big, there's got to be a lot of demon guides brought in to keep it. I can't believe you bothered to create an attack target. Take all the treasures collected and run up to 300 levels at once."
Lord Albanero was at best building in a new port.
"Hurry up. Don't delay the Spyrna and Lados guys"
"Lord Albanero, Spirna and Lados are also about to build a tower in a new port"
"All the more so. Hurry! Don't delay those two countries."
"But… if we continue to build any more, the island will not have more."
The more magic gathers, the more buoyancy it builds, the more buildings it builds, and the more prosperous the city on the island.
However, there were also limits to the island's bearable load, which threatened to submerge the opposite if it was not possible to develop.
"If the limit is near, let alone hasten construction. Look, this is not the time to back off. I think Spyrna and Lados can pull back here. It's times like this that we need to carry things forcefully."
"Lord Albanero"
The defensive captain rushed in.
"What's this busy time?"
"An example of a pirate manipulating a Mithril ship has appeared on 260 levels."
"Talk about it again? I don't care what you do..."
"Listen, there's a pirate on the 250th level who was supposed to be on the 260th level."
"Hun. Then you should check the elevator's operating records. So you'll know who's the bad guy."
"I've been scrubbing the elevator's operating records. We also keep an eye out for ships that have been operating elevators ever since the pirates showed up. But despite that, the Mithrill ship came up to the 260th floor. Which means they raised the hierarchy without using the elevator..."
"Come on! Raise the hierarchy without using the elevator? Is that what happens to the thieves there? That statement is proof of your neglect."
"But now..."
"Enough. Tell this matter to the nobility of Spyrna or even to the nobility of Lados. Anyway, I'm not going to take any more chances at the end of this low-level incident!
Lord Albanero, abandoning himself so, shakes off the pleading defensive captain and turns to his chamber.
The defensive captain slammed his fist against the wall.
"All the time, the stuffs! He said we were trying to protect your rights by powdering ourselves. Have you found out yet? If you want to perish so badly, perish as you wish."
Dorias and the others also used the 'feather whale' to reach the 270 hierarchy lightly.
Immediately head to a newly built port in search of demon props.
The port was also equipped with selected battleships in Swinrill on boulders, hitting the defense.
Dorias called the storm and mounted Mithril's ship at leisurely pace in the harbor as the defensive team prevented him from marching out.
Other ships moored in the port were flooded and sunk or flushed, while Mithril's ships soared as if on land.
Dorias takes a boat with Lynn to the city.
We both put on masks just in case.
"Is the Mithril ship okay?"
"It's okay. In this storm, there is no one to approach. Besides, you don't have the guts to rebel against the rest of the ship."
The ship with Lynn and Dorias slowly proceeded down the streets where things blew away in storms and flooded with flooding.
If I was next to Dorias, I could have spent nothing wrong in the storm.
Both the blistering storm and the flowing waterfall pass him by avoiding it.
The people who were working in the port were after completing the evacuation already in front of a storm that suddenly struck.
"There are three towers."
"Oh, Shizuku, the three kingdoms are building towers one at a time."
Dorias first tackled it from the tallest tower.
When a ship is mounted on the side of the outer wall and artillery fire is applied, the tower easily collapses and jewels, wands and swords overflow and are flushed by flooding.
The spirits and fairies gathered there fly away to nowhere.
The magicians also boarded a ship, aboard a warcraft, or used the magic of water to escape the scene and evacuate to another building.
Let's go next.
Dorias also lightly collapsed the other tower.
Swinlill's building with a canal indoors was flooded by flooding when it destroyed the building's walls slightly, causing the entire interior of the building to submerge.
Being in the new port was the best because even Swinlill is one of the best demon mentors, so I never drowned in this flood, but I defended myself so I did my best.
There is no stopping demon stones and magic props from being flushed.
The Magic Instrument is to be flushed to a point near the shore by Dorias' '' Magic of the Storm '.
That means slowly salvaging the demon stones on the ocean far from downtown.
And finally, Dorias headed to the last tallest tower.
Break through the outer wall and get inside.
Floods flowing indoors were sucked into an indoor canal lift (Canal Elevator).
However, it temporarily raises the water hose in the canal lift (Canal Elevator), but does not result in flooding.
"The canals don't flood."
"Maybe there's a reservoir (dam) somewhere in the building. Let us destroy it."
Lynn and Dorias manipulated the boat and climbed the canal lift (Canal Elevator).
Going up to the third floor, I found something that looked like a water storage tank, so once I got off the boat I walked closer.
After a while of walking, Dorias stops.
Lynn looked at Dorias by surprise.
"What's wrong?
"Hmm. Looks like you're lost in the labyrinth."
"What!?
As Lynn rushed around, the walls grew from all sides and were stretching this way.
Cold air can get in there anyway.
(This is... "Medusa's Labyrinth"!? When?)
It was the 'Labyrinth of Medusa' and the maze of melons that Luciola had previously appeared and had Lynn strayed into.
Dorias glowed the ring to intimidate the labyrinth.
Then the labyrinth wall stops perfectly along the way.
But the Quartet was completely besieged.
The two get trapped in a space about 50 meters in radius.
"I finally caught you. Dorias."
A voice emerges from the back of the labyrinth, five wizards appear.
They wore water colored robes that indicated they were 100 Hierarchical Mages (Mayards).
(Is that... Mr. Tidro!?
Lynn almost raised her voice unexpectedly.
(Did Mr. Tidro make this labyrinth appear...)
"It's no use wearing a mask like that. Raids on Mithril ships in this storm. It's all your fault. Dorias!"
"Dorias? What is it?
Dorias said in a woman's voice (the mask has a weird voice function).
"I've just been evacuating here to protect myself from the storm..."
"I don't mean to settle with you in this way. but this is also the result"
Tidro told me to block it.
(CHUCKLES. Still a jokeless guy)
Dorias heartily awakens.
"Anyone who, while being a college magician, steps into the upper hierarchy without permission shall be sentenced to imprisonment. I'll hold you!
Tidro and the others set up their canes.
Dorias also put his hand on the sword pattern.
"Neil!"
Lynn was hacked when she was called a codename.
"Mr. Rod!
"We're going through the labyrinth. If you don't want to die, stick around behind me anyway, don't go away. Watch out for magic."
Next Time, Episode 148: Stardust
