A few days ago, Lexie woke up in the medical ward on her discharge day, getting ready to leave, but she saw someone on the bed next to her.

She wasn’t sure who that was, so she got ready and put on her shoes, ready to leave. On her way out, she noticed familiar shoes, which made her pause.

She turned back and leaned forward, trying to inspect the gaps in the sheets for a face or any familiar features, and it was as expected.

It was her aide...

Lexie wanted to wake her up and ask what happened to her, but on second thought, she decided to return later and let her rest for now.

Once she left the ward, there was commotion going on, people rushing somewhere, and as she followed, she found herself in the arena where Moon and Dave had their duel.

After the duel, she returned to the medical ward to check on Nola, and she happened to be awake. She could also hear what exactly had happened.

And indeed, she heard everything about it... Dave, the one Dorbish tricked her into betting on, was the one who hurt her dear aide, and he was also dead.

The one who killed him was also the one who warned her about Mishu, which made things rather more complicated for her...

Either way, she was now holding a grudge against Dorbish, and unsure about Colten... he played a wild game and lost his own freedom, so she wasn’t sure if he was worth a grudge in the slightest.

Back then, she was also feeling indebted to the one who saved Nola, and tried to inquire about him so she could at least thank him for everything.

But what Nola said didn’t match what she was seeing right now. Not in the slightest.

Nola’s image from that time came to her mind as she stretched and extended her hands upward.

"He was very tall."

Lexie looked at Moon, standing at a similar height to everyone else around him, with an even considerable number of males taller than him.

Nola then took a bodybuilding pose, flexing her biceps and shoulders.

"He was very muscular."

Lexie was very much capable of counting Moon’s ribs one by one. He looked like he hadn’t eaten for a year... not to mention the gruesome scars covering his body.

Nola didn’t stop there.

"He had an angelic voice that was so manly."

But everything Lexie heard from him was, "You shits, you bitches, bastards," screams that didn’t even sound properly human.

And last...

"He was extremely handsome, it was impossible to believe such a person exists."

And that also was a direct contrast to Moon’s crazed smile.

Nola was only excited whenever she talked about him, and that was the only time she returned to her normal self... and now she was also holding Lexie’s hands in excitement. But Lexie, on the other hand, was starting to feel dizzy.

She held her head and leaned on the closest seat... this was too much to take in.

Before she heard a voice she was starting to hate deeply.

Dorbish.

He was now talking to Moon and about to step foot inside the arena. That’s when she felt like she recovered from whatever she was going through.

She looked at Moon with a burning gaze, and new anticipation radiated in her heart.

Nola turned around to Lexie, bringing her hands to her chest, eyes glittering.

"Sister, do you know his name?" she pointed. "Sir Savior, I mean."

Lexie smiled, nodding.

"I know too damn well," before giggling to herself.

Little did Moon know, he was about to finally have his first two fans in his lifetime.

His shouts at everyone to enter resounded. Basil and Barrett entered right away.

"Boss, we’re here to fight you," they assured everyone they weren’t here to be on Moon’s side.

Followed by Colten and his gang, everyone started entering the ring, making the magnificent 1 vs. 50 for the first time in the history of the facility.

Even though 50 wasn’t that many compared to the number of ascenders in the branch, it was still a considerable number to fight a single person.

"That kid will get beat even if he wins," Ed at the back stood with Samuel, who didn’t look amused by the sight.

"Some things can only be learned the hard way," Samuel commented.

"Did you see? These brats never heard of my great name," Ed giggled. "Time sometimes overpowers death."

Samuel didn’t answer, but he felt the bitterness in Ed’s voice.

Ed waved his hand.

"Forget it, let’s watch if he’ll make his second win come true."

On the arena, some forced out their hesitation with a battle cry before rushing at Moon, a few at a time. It was never one alone... some also started circling around him instead of attacking right away.

Moon didn’t start fighting back right away. Instead, he started evading...

He wanted to practice the dance again, just more safely than last time.

Bare fists were always less dangerous than a wolf’s maw. That much he was certain about... he wanted to get the feeling again.

He started stepping between the fists and kicks thrown at him. When a chance presented itself, he dragged a head to take a fist in his place, or just misdirected them to follow him, ending up lunging at one another instead.

Slowly, injuries started to accumulate on everyone in the ring, except for a few who were still unharmed, including Roran, Abshi, Colten, and Dorbish... who, even though they failed to land an attack, still didn’t fall to anyone’s misdirected attack... though a few of their attacks got misdirected a few times.

Someone lunged at Moon from behind. Moon stepped sideways irregularly, causing him to find himself in front of Abshi instead, who threw his fist at the lunging victim in an attempt to defend himself.

"What is he doing?" Ed squinted. "I’ve never seen or heard of such a style."

Samuel, by his side, was looking intently. He didn’t answer... he shook his head slightly.

"Answer me, you old bastard," Ed asked again. He wasn’t as confused as he was excited.

"I believe it’s a method for fighting masses, but I’ve never heard or seen it before," Samuel finally spoke.

"Look at how he places his foot where another would move his, or how he sidesteps at irregular distances and directions every time someone tries to use his blind spot."

He proceeded with his clarification.

Ed had a different opinion, on the other hand.

"Can’t you see? He’s even more random when no one attacks him," he gave his piece. "It’s like he’s luring them with a perfectly disoriented chance to attack before doing something entirely random."

Samuel nodded, still his gaze glued on Moon’s nonsensical moves.

"I can’t think of a way this could have come from," Samuel commented, before adding, "I doubt he developed these skills on his own. It might be that he found something ancient from the forgotten era, or—" He stopped without speaking more.

"It can’t be an Outer. Outers give authority-like abilities... unquestionably obvious powers," Ed spoke his mind.

Samuel was still worried about Moon’s origins. He had already figured a few things out on his own that he never spoke out loud, but what he was seeing was something entirely new.

Something that ignores what’s commonly known as the upper limit, but overwhelms with frighteningly fine control.
