Gold Rush: Each Position I
William's run continued.
He worked for Prince Airhardt and exchanged promises to withdraw some of his money from the treasury. We can't afford a budget this quarter to focus on rebuilding Browstat's bridge, Laconia, but we were able to set up an item for the installation of a steel mill in the budget frame of the treasury that Airhardt will have next quarter. Still not enough, so William takes a new hand.

"Welcome, Mr. William. I didn't expect you to visit me."
William pushed to the residence of Leodeger von Althauser. Leodegar laughs bitterly at that grand ascent.
"I came to you the other day about what I wrote to you."
Leodegar nods knowingly and arranges the material sent by William on his desk. That was a copy of the material Einhardt had delivered to Arkas late.
"Is it a new type of facility using Gallias' technology? As far as the material goes, it's certainly efficient. Where's the technology coming from?
"A friend of mine, Einhardt, had a flush technician, and that's where the information comes from. We are also working with you as a backup to the technical part of this case."
"I see, lack of reliability, huh?
"It's true you don't have a track record. But you can also see from your ID that you were in the profession of that hand in Gallias. Garias' ID is a fine format."
Leodegar nods "Yeah," and invites the servant. A servant with a bag put it on his desk. Leodegar opens the bag and spills all the contents.
"If it wasn't for you, it would be a case I wouldn't take care of. But in terms of the White Knight's work, I'd like to ride you. Think of it as a trust in a man who's been winning most of his life."
William shows surprise that he was able to withdraw his money lightly.
"Two hundred gold coins, this is the best I can offer. I'm not the head of the Althauser family yet. [M] As far as interest rates are concerned, that's fine as it was written in my letter the other day. Not too low, not too high, I think it's an exquisite setting."
"Thank you. I didn't expect you to have just this. I thought they were going to say no."
Leodegar laughs bitterly.
"Apart from love roads and work. This is just the scope of the job. You didn't come here as Mr. Victoria's fiancée either, did you? Likewise, I'm not here as a lover. That's all. I haven't given up on her."
At the end of the day, the real deal swells. Leodegar spilled the truth against himself.
"I found out your strength. And at the same time, I learned of my weakness. I regret it, but as a man, I will not stand over you. I'm only confident that I'll make her happier, but I'm confident in the strength of thinking of her, but I'm sure she's only staring at you."
Leodegar takes a deep breath with "fu". And I'm back to my usual.
"As I said earlier, it's a doctrine that doesn't bring personal feelings to work. You would give me more of this money. [M] I give you money because I believe so. I'm counting on you, White Knight William von Lewis."
Leodegar penetrated a good young man to the end, not to mention inside. I guess that's his insistence. As for William, it's something I don't know about him, and I don't want him hanging around Victoria a little harder, but he didn't because he's going to tell me if I say that, he's going to give me my money back.
"I'll take care of it. Dear Leodeger von Althauser,"
Win 200 gold coins.

In Laconia, the fortifications had been rebuilt on a steep pitch. It's such an unscrupulous process that you can't make it until you help a soldier who finishes his first morning training. Jan said many times that she couldn't do it, but it was a strain to do something about it. In the end, the servitude is in the form of a subordinate.
"It's troubling... should I help too or not? Well, I guess Gustav can stop me even trying to help. Nobody's watching, so I think I can help."
Jan was just finishing her paperwork and rinsing tea as usual. Work has begun outside with snow removal due to heavy snow pouring in the middle of the night. No famous general can beat the weather. Still slapping Jan when work is delayed up there. Anyway, if it's just Jan, his men get slapped, so there's something hard about Jan as well.
"Mid-level management is tough."
I scraped the tea and grabbed the letter that was supposed to arrive yesterday. My legs are probably delayed due to heavy snow. The mailman is also in trouble.
"Whoa, whoa, this is unusual again. I wonder what it's all about."
Jan took a smile and a single letter. There were also those addressed to Jan and Angelm, obviously at last, but also to Gregor.
"Loan Wishes...... Hmm, ho, no -"
I thought Jan was going to use his head. This will give me a headache. Temporarily, though.
"- Well, I'm in trouble with this. Trouble, trouble."
Jan plays as she takes a small rocket out of her chest.
"Move to acquire commercial rights using the installation of a local steel mill as a weapon, or? Very bold hands. And, at the same time, it's a hand that's not like you, William. I think he'd go and hold on to the root more. Well, is this what he needs, or is it excessive?"
Whirl, Whirl, Jan doesn't try to look inside just messing with the rocket. Rubbing your jaw, messing with your hair, acting a little different from that kind of unmanipulative behavior. It's not a handiwork. The iron and will were felt to appear unmade with gentle hands, but not open inside.
"How much of an asset was my house now in the first place? The Zeke family and all their sisters and sisters have already left, and all their brothers have died in battle or left their homes... should I sell the mansion in Arkas and sell the land at the northern entrance? I mean, I think there was an unused mine up north... that I have quite a bit?
Jan works her head off about her 'belongings' she never really thought about. For Jan, who is honestly not at all interested in floating, it was silly to devote head resources to them, but things change if what William wants.
"Because with tea and tea treats, you can live. Hey. I never even thought about it."
Let's mock ourselves, Jan. The hand grabs the rocket all the time.
"Well, if you're begging me, I guess it's necessary. I don't think it sounds like you, but I guess it's good if you still need it, yeah. I'll give it all to you because it's so hard."
Jan tries to start writing to that effect on parchment. At that moment, Jan's room door opened.
"Why is Temeer so extreme? Let's go in, you idiot."
"Oh, Gustav? Gregor and Angelum are behind us. Come in, come in. It was cold out there, wasn't it? Even though it's south, it's colder than the king's capital. Is it because it's a basin?
Gustav is followed by Gregor and Angelm. Gregor's boy head wasn't too good for his looks in the cold winter. It doesn't matter.
"Nah, isn't it sweet on him, whether he's Baldias's grandfather or Temeer? Well, before that, Temeer was too pale for anything but battle."
"Is it sweet? Probably tougher on him than anyone else. At least not the amount of work you impose on that age. And the quality of the work. I admit I'm sweet, yeah."
Jan flaunts everything on her favorite rocking chair.
"You know why I'm pale, don't you? I have nothing. The Zeke family is also windlit. If I die, all I have to do is disappear. If you don't want to use it, you can give it to him."
Gustav annoyed by Jan's attitude. It was too empty for the Lord to wave the spear of himself. Though I know 'why', this body is about to be unacceptable.
So I'll just step in a little bit. Jan's...
"Come on, take one or two daughters-in-law."
In an area that should not be touched.
Jan's eyes narrow thinly on Gustav's words.
Is that what you're telling me? I don't know how much you're stepping in. "
What emanates from Jan is the unwavering cold like frozen earth. Gustav was able to stand it because he understood and stepped in, but the two behind him get too frightened by the pressure.
"I appreciate you worrying about me. Still, it's not a good place for you to step in. [M] I don't want anyone to step in. Because there's only one place."
Hands clutching rockets when twirled. Seeing that, Gustav gave up. Sighed.
"Wow. Apologize. Sorry."
"It's good. It's my fault. [M] Whoa, sorry, both of you. Shall we just sit down and have some tea? We need to warm up."
Jan returned to her usual atmosphere and slammed her rocket all over her chest. And you start scrubbing your jaw, so there's nothing you can do. Angelm and Gregor sit in chairs as recommended. Gustav began to rinse his cup of tea as he stood.
"Well, actually, I have a book for you. The sender is Captain William von Lewius. The details would be a loan project just like mine. [M] Now they're going to build a steel mill."
"... ha. I don't know what that means... that's a big story on the scale."
Gregor doesn't seem to be able to swallow much of the story. Angelm had already estimated in his head how much he could put out now.
"Yeah, it's a big story about the scale. They also make it a pretty big piece of equipment. It's the same everywhere in the winter, but I guess it stops. It's the North, and that's it. It's an extra size by filling in the short duration of the operation. You're gonna need a huge amount of money and a period of time."
Jan rocks the chair loosely.
"So I want you, all those in command of the Second Army, to get on with this story."
Gustav stares at Jan all the time. He complained with his eyes that it was a spoil that had passed.
"There's a reason, Gustav. This is the Second Army Brigadier General… what a crown call aside, as the Second Army Legion Commander."
Jan turned to the two of them overnight with Gustav's appeal.
"This steel mill is technically new, but they are all part of efficiency. In other words, the iron quality itself is no different from that of an existing steel mill. Then why do we need to finance this project?"
At the end of Jan's gaze was a map. The world depicted there is the world of the Seven Kingdoms. Arcadia was never a big country in it. But if we add the North to that, we will be second only to Garias, Estado and Nedeluxe at once.
"That's because we can eliminate the current shortage of iron within Arcadia and the fact that iron is too high. Iron made in this steel mill is never quality iron. However, high-efficiency equipment can refine enormous amounts of iron over a short operating period. Large scale, too. And now we can take advantage of the shabby people of the North by losing their jobs. As Arcadia triumphs over this world as a power, I believe this must be done."
It doesn't make sense to be a big country but to be wasting people and things resources. The work given to the people of the North is limited. The North is free of land and is not suitable for agriculture. It would be a daunting business to let livestock live alone, and as a nation, we would not be able to use our human resources. This time the steel mill is useful as a way to get rid of them to some extent.
"But it doesn't have to be William Lewius to exchange it"
Angelum stares at Gustav. Murder overflowing from the back of the half mask.
"No, no, that's what makes us martial officers worth investing in, in that it's William von Lewis"
Jan didn't care about the killing, she just used it to say Gustav's objections well. Gustav is rarely confronted with the use of objections.
"His acquisition of the mine means that it will be possible for our Second Army to put weapons in cheap. The market changes dramatically when he gets the mine. Look, the price of iron will definitely go down. I mean, the price of weapons goes down, too. Before the steel mill starts."
Gustav and Gregor put a fit on their heads. Angelm can't hide his surprise at Jan's head loss. This man has the same perspective as William. I see as far as I haven't seen it yet.
"At the time we acquired the mine, the completion of the steel mill would be not only a promise to the inhabitants there, but also a promise to the nation beyond that. The country would also help if it had more resources. In other words, there is some certainty that the steel mill will be finished when it moves. What do you think will happen if you do so... Angelum, sir"
"Arcadia's own mine owner wants William to use his iron. Years later, if the steel mills in the north were completed, they would lose face against face in terms of price. I'll deepen my relationship with William before I do that, cut the price of iron a little, but I'll keep the deal. I helped you then, so please stay with me in the future."
"Exactly. Perhaps you, William, will go ahead and seize Arcadia's own mines. Now we should examine the installation of a new, superior steel mill in terms of quality. For the first time since then, his thoughts are accomplished. He will rule Arcadia's iron, and Arcadia will get massive amounts of iron and quality iron, both. Everyone gets victory. Except for one of his enemies, a fellow industrialist."
It was a large grain of sweat that floated on Angelm's forehead. Angelm hadn't heard from William about the latter part of Jan's story. But William would undoubtedly be looking so far. I just didn't feel the need to tell Angelm yet.
Listening to William, Angelum could only see things in shallower dimensions than Jan. Jan got there without talking to William. Tremble at the difference.
"It's better to ride his story. Make it military. Make it country. We can enjoy the benefits. No hands to ride."
Jan was more satisfied with the end of the conversation than just narrowing her thin eyes even further. A ghoulish man who gives his whole body an atmosphere of tiredness because he talks too much.
"Do you think the Yang Legion Leader should ride?
Gregor asks. Jan opened one eye,
"I think so. After that, your judgment."
Closed immediately. Gregor stands up as "yeah".
"Anyway, Angelm's gonna give you money, right? We'll figure out a way to screw the money out!
"Ah, oh. But Gregor, how much money are you going to give me?
"Hmm? I'll give you all I can. The Thunder family just have a sister besides me, if they could feed that one to their dowry. My mentor, Mr. Gustav's brain, if you think of the Jan Legion Commander, until you believe it."
"... I've been amazed since I wore it over here, but when did you get that stupid?
Gregor laughs.
"You just suck at pretending to be a fool. I won't think about it for now. I'm going to leave it to someone I trust to think about. What do you say?"
Angelm smiled bitterly.
"You're a big idiot. Totally... well, I'm going to get it out as much as I can."
Listening to the exchange between the two young men, Jan and Gustav looked at each other.
(So, what do you do? Hmm?)
and Jan asks with her eyes.
(Dumb bastard. If that's what Temeer thinks, I'm just gonna stick with it.)
Jan laughed when she looked into Gustav's eyes saying so. I'm going to be busy. After winter, the battle begins to defend this Laconia dead against the Ostberg army, which burns in counter-attacks. Strakles might come face to face too. A painful defeat eaten over a decade ago. A high wall that even I couldn't reach myself, obsessed with victory.
(No, I guess I couldn't win because I was obsessed. Now, what do you think?)
Jan almost never moved for ten years. The more weathered it was that it was Baldias' right arm, the man whose seat as general had been confirmed had renounced to fight. But now, I'm about to get up again. The trigger was William Lewis. Nothing knows why. It's all inside Jan's chest.
Okay, what's gonna happen?
Jan looked forward to the future with pleasure.
