Chapter 223: Will She Continue to Stay at Stellaris?
"Excuse me, are you the one managing Melody Monroe’s fan club?"
"Yes, I’m a loyal fan of hers."
"I’d like to invite you to become the official administrator for Melody Monroe’s fan club. Are you interested? Can we find some time to meet in person?"
"An invitation from you, Rose? Of course, I’ll be there. Just name the time and place."
"You decide."
"Anywhere is fine. I’m easy."
"Rockwellburg. Next Wednesday, three in the afternoon, at Banke Cafe on the fourth floor of the Starpoint Commercial Center."
"Alright."
Rose Shaw closed the chat window and scrolled through the person’s profile again, but she couldn’t find any of the information she was looking for.
However, she was certain that someone was orchestrating events online. ’It has to be one of my competitors,’ she thought, ’someone even more professional and resourceful than I am.’
That was why she wanted to meet this person.
’And more importantly, I need to find out if they were sent by Evan Fairchild, the president of Starfall.’
For the past few days, she had been keeping a close eye on the online buzz.
Those videos and photos of Melody Monroe all looked like candid shots, yet they were of professional quality! They were even better than the images their own team’s retoucher had polished!
’This definitely isn’t just the work of fans.’
’What is Melody Monroe thinking? Is she going to stay with Stellaris?’
A giant question mark loomed in Rose Shaw’s mind.
...
At four in the afternoon, Melody Monroe returned to Rockwellburg with Winter Kane and Talia Mercer.
The moment she stepped out, she was recognized. A few girls trailed behind them, whispering among themselves, not seeming entirely sure.
One of them worked up the courage to step forward and ask, "Excuse me, are you Melody Monroe?"
Melody Monroe stopped, smiled, and nodded, taking off her sunglasses.
"It really is Melody Monroe!"
"You’re so beautiful! Even prettier in person than in your pictures! Can I get a photo with you?"
"Of course," Melody Monroe nodded.
"Can we have this as the background?" the fan asked, pointing off to the side.
"Of course." Melody Monroe walked over and stood beside the fan.
Winter Kane stepped up, took the fan’s phone, and snapped a few pictures.
In just a few moments, a crowd had gathered, with everyone pulling out their phones to film Melody Monroe.
"Let’s not crowd this spot, everyone. How about we keep walking forward?" Melody Monroe asked the fans who had gathered around her. She was worried they would end up blocking the entire walkway.
"Melody Monroe is so approachable! She’s not cold and aloof at all!"
"I know, right? What a beautiful girl."
"With looks like that alone, I’m officially a fan!"
As Melody Monroe started walking, the fans followed her lead.
"Melody, are you and Zane Langdon good friends?"
"Mr. Langdon and I have a relationship that’s part mentor, part friend," Melody Monroe replied softly, not shying away from the topic at all.
"Melody! I love you! I’m a huge fan, I’ve been following you for a long time!" a young man shouted from a distance.
"Thank you," Melody Monroe replied with a smile and a nod.
"Melody! You’re so beautiful!"
"Our hearts adore you, our love’s undeniable!"
"Melody! It’s really Melody Monroe!"
Noticing the commotion, airport staff quickly sent people over to manage the flow of traffic.
Melody Monroe felt apologetic when she saw the staff. "Thank you so much. I’m sorry to cause you all this trouble."
"It’s no trouble, Miss Monroe. This is our job."
As soon as Winter Kane collected their luggage, airport staff guided them toward the exit.
Melody Monroe waved to her fans. "Bye, everyone! Thank you so much."
"Goodbye!"
"Goodbye, Melody!"
"Go for it, Melody!"
