His attention was entirely focused on Melody Monroe; he was completely unaware that someone had been staring at him.
As he turned to pick up his coffee from the table, his gaze suddenly shot in a specific direction.
His piercing gaze landed on Eileen Scott, making her tense up. However, far from being intimidated, she walked right over to Evan Fairchild.
Now, she was one hundred percent sure: this man was Evan Fairchild!

"Mr. Fairchild, is that you?" Eileen asked excitedly.
Evan Fairchild’s face clouded over with displeasure, and the air around him grew colder.
"Ma’am, your coffee." A waiter walked over just then.
"Just leave it here. I know this gentleman!" Eileen said to the waiter.
The waiter was about to set the coffee down, but he flinched and pulled his hand back the moment he met Evan Fairchild’s gaze.
Evan Fairchild stood up and headed for the exit.
Not one to give up, Eileen immediately chased after him. "Mr. Fairchild! I’m Eileen Scott. It’s such an honor to meet you here! You may not know me, but I’ve known who you are for a long time!"
’He really wished this woman would just disappear on the spot!’
Just as he stepped out of the coffee shop, several people came running toward them, carrying camera equipment.
"Eileen, we’ve found a key person! How are things on your end?"
The moment Evan Fairchild saw the cameras, he spun around and retreated back into the coffee shop.
"I... I found someone, too! Mr. Fairchild..." Eileen realized that Evan Fairchild had vanished. She glanced back at the coffee shop door and immediately tried to open it.
But the door was locked!
"Open up!" Eileen pounded on the door.
The newly arrived crew members were baffled. If this person was part of their show, he wouldn’t have run and hidden again, let alone locked the door.
"Eileen, you must have the wrong person, right? The production team didn’t schedule anyone at this coffee shop," a crew member reminded her in a low voice.
’So what if he wasn’t scheduled? That was Evan Fairchild! If she and Evan Fairchild appeared on camera together, she’d definitely blow up!’

But those three seconds were enough to captivate the audience watching the livestream.
