Chapter 316: President Fairchild is Trending?

This was also one of the reasons why Evan Fairchild’s company never had any female employees in mid-level management or higher.

Although Tommy was used to it, he was exhausted today.

The conference room door opened, and someone from the secretarial department came in and whispered a few words in Tommy’s ear.

Tommy turned and left the conference room.

"Aya Winters is waiting for President Fairchild? Who told you he wanted to see her?"

The secretary froze, unable to utter a single word in the face of Tommy’s interrogation.

"Who’s handling Aya Winters?" Tommy asked.

"Mr. Coleman."

"Have him deal with it. In the future, don’t bother President Fairchild with such trivial matters! Otherwise, he’ll think you’re all incompetent. I don’t need to spell out what happens then."

"Yes!"

Tommy sighed. ’Starfall was a new company, after all. These people still don’t fully understand President Fairchild. I really need to find some time to train them properly.’ ’It wouldn’t do for them to drag me down and earn President Fairchild’s disdain.’

...

Aya Winters sat in the lounge, glancing toward the door from time to time. A faint sense of anticipation stirred in her heart.

She had seen Evan Fairchild in person for the first time at the last charity gala.

She had been looking forward to seeing him again ever since.

And when a representative from Starfall approached her about a partnership, that long-awaited day had finally arrived.

A knock sounded at the door. Aya Winters immediately sat up straight, a radiant smile gracing her lips. But when she saw who pushed the door open and walked in, her smile froze.

"Aya, hello! What a surprise visit. If you’d given me a heads-up, I would have come down to greet you personally."

"I figured since we’re going to be working together, it would be best to get everything finalized as soon as possible."

"Absolutely. Here’s the contract." Mr. Coleman produced the document and offered it to Aya Winters. "Take a look. We’ve already discussed all the terms, so if there are no issues, we can sign it today."

Aya Winters’ agent, Jared Quinn, took the contract and set it aside.

"Our Aya has come in good faith, but we have yet to see the same sincerity from Starfall."

"We are being very sincere! We’ve accepted all of the terms Aya proposed."

"For a contract this important, President Fairchild should at least be here to sign it himself. Can you even represent him?" Jared Quinn tapped the table, looking furious.

"Since that’s the case, we’ll have to reconsider this contract."

"Well, you see, President Fairchild is extremely busy today. He’s been in meetings nonstop."

"We’re well aware that President Fairchild is a busy man. However, we have time to wait."

’Mr. Coleman had thought signing the contract would be smooth sailing, a job well done. Weren’t they perfectly agreeable during the initial talks?’

"Why don’t you wait here for a moment? I’ll go check and see how much longer President Fairchild’s meeting will be." Mr. Coleman stood up and headed out.

Tommy was standing right outside the conference room. When he saw Mr. Coleman approaching, he knew things hadn’t been handled properly.

"Tommy, Aya Winters’ people are saying they want President Fairchild to sign the contract personally."

"And?" Tommy asked.

Mr. Coleman hesitated, then gestured toward the conference room. "Could you ask when President Fairchild might be free? Aya Winters’ people say they’re willing to wait."

"Millie!" Tommy called out to a secretary sitting at a desk farther away.

"Tommy."

"Go tell the finance department to process Mr. Coleman’s final paycheck immediately."

"Tommy! Did I do something wrong? Please, just give me another chance."

"You don’t know what you did wrong?"
