Chapter 46: I’m in Love, I’m in Love

Melody Monroe sighed inwardly. ’Sigh.’

’Couldn’t the author of the original novel have been more careful and explained these details clearly? I’m so depressed right now!’

’It’s clear now. This Rhona Hughes is no good, either.’

...

Zane Langdon walked over. As soon as he saw so many people gathered there, he immediately apologized to everyone.

"I’m sorry, everyone. My apologies for being late and keeping you all waiting."

Director Wallace stepped forward with a smile. "I was starting to think you wouldn’t make it for another hour. I’ve just been sitting here all morning, scrolling through news about you. Come, let me make some introductions."

Raymond Ford immediately shuffled forward, and Hailey Paige wasn’t about to be outdone.

"This is our assistant director, Brian Coleman."

Director Wallace hadn’t introduced the main cast, like the female lead, first. A flash of embarrassment crossed Raymond Ford’s face.

"Director Coleman, hello. I look forward to working with you."

"Hello, Mr. Langdon. The pleasure is all mine. It’s great to meet you."

The two shook hands and exchanged a few pleasantries.

Only then did Director Wallace turn his attention to Raymond Ford and Hailey Paige. "This is Raymond Ford, our female lead, and this is Hailey Paige, our second female lead."

"Mr. Langdon, hello," Raymond Ford said, stepping forward and extending a hand.

Not to be outdone, Hailey Paige also extended her hand toward Zane Langdon. "Zane, I’m a huge fan of yours!"

Zane Langdon looked at the two women before him and gave a gentlemanly bow. "Hello to you both."

Both of their hands were left hanging awkwardly in the air before they simultaneously retracted them.

’Raymond Ford felt like strangling Hailey Paige. She was the female lead, but Hailey Paige had to compete with her over everything. This was a deliberate attempt to make her look bad!’

"And where is Willow Lynch?" Zane Langdon suddenly asked with a smile.

He was particularly interested in this character.

After all, this character was the "white moonlight" of Julian Hale’s heart—his one true, unobtainable love.

’And I don’t think I’ve seen any official promotional photos for her, either.’

’Even though the character doesn’t have much screen time, she’s a pivotal figure. They should have released a promotional photo.’

Director Wallace glanced around but didn’t see Melody Monroe.

"Where’s Melody Monroe?"

"She was just here a second ago!"

"There she is!"

Someone pointed, and all eyes turned in that direction.

Melody Monroe was holding her script, diligently studying her lines and contemplating the right expressions, tone, and even physical gestures to use. She had already immersed herself in the world of the story, trying to truly understand Willow Lynch’s state of mind.

Zane Langdon watched from a distance. ’The picture of serene grace,’ he thought. ’That phrase must have been coined for a scene just like this.’

A look of stunned admiration filled his eyes. The girl sat there, seemingly untouched by the clamor of the world, like a beam of pure moonlight, quietly shining.

’This was his ideal Willow Lynch.’

It brought to mind a scene of apricot blossoms in a gentle rain, of childhood sweethearts at play. Such was the love between Julian Hale and Willow Lynch—innocent and beautiful.

"Melody Monroe!" Talia Mercer suddenly noticed everyone looking their way and quickly called out to her.

Zane Langdon started walking toward Melody Monroe.

Melody Monroe looked up and was met with a handsome face and a boyish smile, so innocent and warm it was intoxicating.

"Willow, hello. I’m Julian," Zane Langdon said, taking the initiative and extending his hand.

Melody Monroe, who had been sitting on a small stool, quickly shot to her feet and lightly shook Zane Langdon’s hand. "Hello, Mr. Langdon."

Zane Langdon smiled. "It’s a pleasure to meet you."

"It’s a pleasure to meet you, too," Melody Monroe said, feeling incredibly flattered.

She had never been one to follow celebrities, but right now, she could barely contain her excitement.

’I’m smitten! Totally smitten!’

’From now on, I’m officially a Zane Langdon fan!’
