Chapter 194: Desperate for Money
Rose Shaw didn’t know why the people from Bloomwell had told her all this.
Perhaps since they were already partners, that was why they told her about Raymond Ford secretly contacting them.
Rose Shaw was actually quite grateful to the people at Bloomwell for letting her see Raymond Ford’s true colors.
"Rose, you’re dropping me just because of this? As long as we get the Bloomwell endorsement, who cares how we do it? This is good for you too!"
Raymond Ford glanced at the file again. She really couldn’t figure out what Rose Shaw was thinking. Terminating their contract now? ’Does she not want me to get the Bloomwell endorsement?’
She was going crazy, she was so desperate for money!
If she landed the Bloomwell endorsement, all her problems would be solved in an instant!
Raymond Ford forced herself to calm down.
’Maybe Rose is just using this to teach me a lesson. To lay down the law.’
"Rose, this was my fault. I wasn’t thinking things through. Please, just give me one more chance, okay? I swear I’ll never do something like this again." Raymond Ford humbled herself.
Rose Shaw was unmoved.
Raymond Ford cursed inwardly. ’They all say Rose Shaw has a heart of stone. Anyone who’s seen her cold, ruthless side thinks she’s not even human!’
"Rose, I really know I was wrong. Look, the Bloomwell endorsement is secured now, so just forgive me this once. Please?"
Rose Shaw’s expression faltered for a moment. She glanced at Raymond Ford, then at the file sitting to the side.
Raymond Ford reached for the file, but Rose Shaw snatched it away before she could.
"The Bloomwell contract has been finalized, but they chose Melody Monroe. This contract is for Melody Monroe."
The smile on Raymond Ford’s face instantly froze. It hadn’t been a genuine smile to begin with, and now it cracked apart like sun-scorched earth.
"Impossible!" Raymond Ford immediately shook her head. ’How could this endorsement go to Melody Monroe?’
’What right does Melody Monroe have?! She’s a nobody! No portfolio, no fame—how could she possibly replace me?’
"Rose Shaw, I finally see it today! Everyone says you’re the fairest manager, but they’ve all been fooled by your act! Why are you so biased towards Melody Monroe? What’s the real reason?"
"How could an endorsement like this possibly fall into Melody Monroe’s lap! What right does she have? If you hadn’t fought for it for her, there’s no way she’d have this chance!"
This news was a devastating blow to Raymond Ford.
If the endorsement had gone to anyone else, she wouldn’t have been this furious.
But it just had to be Melody Monroe.
Why Melody Monroe?!
"Bloomwell chose Melody Monroe. That’s the client’s decision, and it’s useless for you to question it. I’ve said everything I need to say. Raymond Ford, if you still want to make it in this industry, you have a long road ahead of you. I hope you watch your step." With that, Rose Shaw stood up and left.
Raymond Ford swayed on her feet, unable to believe she had actually lost to Melody Monroe.
She didn’t believe a single word Rose Shaw had said.
’How could Melody Monroe be so consistently lucky?’
’She got kicked off the set, and she still managed to come back!’
’Director Wallace changed the script, adding scenes specifically for her and turning her into a second female lead who could challenge me!’
’Who would believe there wasn’t something fishy going on?!’
’And now, the Bloomwell endorsement goes to Melody Monroe too!’
Leah Young hadn’t dared to make a sound. Seeing that Raymond Ford still hadn’t recovered after so long, she whispered, "Raymond, don’t be so angry. You’ll make yourself sick."
"Get out!" Raymond Ford screamed with all her might.
