Chapter 294: Isn’t the Favoritism Too Obvious?
"What about with Raymond Ford? Any kissing scenes?"
"Doesn’t seem like it."
"That’s great!"
"This is a flashback scene, right?"
"Yeah, I wonder what they changed. I’m a fan of the original novel, so I’m still a little nervous."

The screen shifted to a scene of them stargazing at night, the whole image warm and sweet.

"Melody Monroe’s acting is amazing. This short clip already has me completely invested in the story."
"Even as a fan of the original novel, I don’t find this totally unacceptable."
As the scenes changed, the crowd buzzed with excited discussion.
Next was Holly Summers’s scene. Early in the story, the female lead pretends to be weak while actually being very powerful. She seems nonchalant, but she’s not someone to be messed with.
"The batting cages!"
"Ah, the famous scene from the book!"
"I don’t like Raymond Ford, but based on this shot, she really captured the female lead’s essence."
"Her acting is on point, but it’s just one scene. Who knows what the rest will be like."
Suddenly, the style of music shifted and the scenes on screen began to change.
The fans were all glued to the screen, completely engrossed.
Regardless of how much the plot might deviate from the original novel, this clip alone was enough to build high expectations.
The short film ended. The lights came up again, falling on the host.
"Today, we’ve also invited the main creative team from the *Warm Wind* cast and crew to join us. They’re here to meet you all and share some behind-the-scenes stories from filming. Please give a warm welcome to Producer Coleman, Director Wallace, Zane Langdon, Raymond Ford, Melody Monroe, and the rest of the cast and crew! Please come on stage."
One by one, those who were called walked onto the stage.
The moment Zane Langdon appeared, the entire audience erupted in screams.
Zane Langdon stood between Melody Monroe and Raymond Ford. Raymond Ford deliberately edged closer to Zane Langdon so that she would be in the frame whenever the cameras focused on him.
The instant Zane Langdon sensed Raymond Ford closing in, he took a large step toward Melody Monroe.
The move made even the host freeze for a second, unsure how to smooth things over. ’They were both his female co-stars; Zane Langdon’s favoritism was just too blatant!’
Melody Monroe’s appearance left the fans in the audience stunned.
They had just seen Melody Monroe on screen and were still captivated by her stunning beauty. Now, seeing her in person, she truly outshone everyone else on stage.
Raymond Ford, who was supposed to be the female lead, was reduced to a mere background prop when compared to Melody Monroe.
’And with Melody Monroe’s outfit today, Raymond Ford had no chance of stealing the spotlight. Raymond would probably be too intimidated to even stand next to Melody, wouldn’t she?’
Under the spotlight, bathed in a dazzling glow, Melody Monroe’s skin was as white as snow, giving her a dreamy, almost unreal aura.
No wonder people called her a living, breathing fairy!
"Melody Monroe! Melody Monroe!"
Hearing her name, Melody Monroe looked over. She saw a whole cluster of light-up signs with her name on them in the crowd! She waved to that section of fans.
"Welcome, everyone, welcome! Could our lead actors please introduce yourselves one more time?"
Zane Langdon stepped forward first. "Hello, everyone. I’m Zane Langdon, and I play the male lead, Julian Hale, in *Warm Wind*."
"I’m Raymond Ford, and I play the female lead, Holly Summers."
"I’m Melody Monroe, and I play Willow Lynch in *Warm Wind*."
After everyone had introduced themselves, it was time for the second part of the event: Zane Langdon’s performance.
The lights suddenly dimmed. Zane Langdon was now standing on stage, having changed into a performance outfit.
