Chapter 1237 - 494: Curse Sword in Hand (2)
The mummy seemed to clearly know Alka’s objective.
After all, only this Treasure was worthwhile.
Facing these words, Alka nodded without hesitation.
"That’s right, I came for the Curse Sword."
"Although I don’t know how you know I’ve hidden here, nor why you know I want Kalande’s life. But none of that matters now." As he spoke, an inexplicable aura of authority emanated from his hollow eye sockets.
He asked, "Young man, I ask you... have you heard of the Curse Sword Clan?"
Alka nodded in acknowledgment.
"Does this clan still have descendants alive?"
Alka nodded again and replied, "Yes, and they’re still standing on the frontline against demons, trying to drive the demons out of this place."
"Ha ha ha ha, that’s good, worthy of the clan’s offspring."
"It seems you are quite familiar with my descendant."
"That’s right, very familiar."
The mummy nodded, supporting itself with the Great Sword as it stood up.
"If you want this Treasure, let me witness the demon’s death."
Upon hearing this, Alka glanced at the Mirror Card where Kalande was sealed, thought for a moment, and asked, "Aren’t you going to kill your enemy yourself?"
"Oh? Can you release him and ensure he doesn’t escape? Remember, he once slipped from my hands, losing me the chance to avenge my clan," said the mummy.
Evidently, to completely cut off even the slightest chance of Kalande’s survival, the mummy was willing to forgo the chance to personally kill its enemy.
"Of course, no problem."
Alka said as a massive amount of power surged into the Mirror Space. During Kalande’s weakened state of being sealed, that power formed chains that penetrated his limbs, binding him around his chest and abdomen.
The Lucilia on his shoulder also fused her power into it.
The chains, made of elements and Dream Power, even used Lucilia’s power to bind Kalande’s soul, fixing him in place.
Thus, even Kalande’s soul couldn’t escape, securely anchored inside his body, bound by chains that penetrated his body and bound his soul.
Though the process was slow, the sealed Kalande was powerless to resist, as he was truly sealed within the Dream Realm. And in the Dream Realm, Alka was the absolute ruler.
Though unable to hear Kalande’s voice, they could see him through the Mirror, seemingly roaring and bellowing.
The Mirror Card in hand shattered.
A large expanse of Mirror Space spread beneath them, then reversed, engulfing them and the mummy into the inverse space.
Soon, cloud-like creatures emerged, guards to prevent any mishaps.
This granted Kalande absolutely no chance of escape; even suicide wasn’t an option.
And with the Mirror breaking, Kalande appeared before everyone.
Bound by the chains, he collapsed to the ground.
Upon appearing, he roared madly at Alka.
"Coward, face me, release me, and I shall tear you to pieces!"
Ignoring his roars, Alka had no intention of responding.
The mummy looked at Kalande and said, "Coward? Are you describing yourself, you deserter among demons."
At the mummy’s words, Kalande sharply turned his head.
Seeing the mummy and the Great Sword in its hand, he seemed to understand completely.
"You damned human, to persist in such an ugly form in this world."
He had no idea what right a demon had to insult the undead.
"Atone for your cowardly actions, for your slaughter of the weak."
The mummy spoke, and from who knows where, it gathered strength, and the Great Sword in its hand ignited.
The entire sword took on some peculiar form, then pierced into the demon’s chest.
"Ahhhhh!"
Kalande screamed frantically, his voice filled with pained wails.
The sword seemed to have some unknown power that suppressed demons, prompting everyone around to observe closely.
The Great Sword’s power spread madly, slicing the demon’s soul. Amidst the roars, the entire demon burned into ashes, Alka couldn’t even see the soul.
This meant it killed him completely.
"This sword... can actually kill a soul directly, killing the soul before the body."
Lucilia, seeing more than others, remarked.
This way, the demon wouldn’t even have the slightest chance to escape into the Abyss.
At this moment, the mummy weakly sat on the ground.
Holding his sword, he shakily raised his head to look at Lucilia.
"Ha ha, young lady, you truly have a keen eye."
"It seems... this sword is very fitting for you."
With that, he used his last bit of strength to toss the hilt over.
Lucilia, hearing this, hurriedly caught it, but her small frame nearly fell along with the Great Sword.
Luckily, she immediately shifted into her spiritual form, returning to normal human size, securing the sword in her grasp.
"Indeed, very fitting for you."
The mummy spoke, his entire body beginning to crumble, bits of skin peeling away.
He knew his time was near.
"Finally... what a pity." It was unclear what he lamented, then he looked up at Alka and said.
"In that space, in the space where I stayed, there are still some family items left.
