Chapter 224: Medicine for the Empire
Kellar opened his eyes to a suffocating warmth. He was in the center of the bed, pinned down by the bodies of his wives, who slept peacefully curled against him seeking refuge from the mountain cold. Seeing their relaxed faces, he smiled softly and slipped out from beneath the heavy fur blankets so as not to wake them.
He dressed quietly in his warm leather and fur garments before walking into the main hall. Stepping across the threshold, he found the four house servants tending to the roaring central fireplace. On the oak table, a steaming breakfast awaited: a thick, freshly roasted cut of meat giving off savory vapor and a goblet filled with rich wine.
"Good morning, Great Shaman," greeted the four servants in unison, bowing respectfully.
"Good morning," replied Kellar, looking at the feast with a mix of surprise and appreciation. "Why so early? The sun hasn’t even fully risen."
"We have learned that whenever the Shaman is at home, his day begins very early," answered the head servant with a smile. "We wanted to ensure everything was ready for the moment you woke up."
Kellar thanked them with a nod and sat down to eat. As he savored the hot meat and took sips of the wine, he summoned the system’s translucent interface before his eyes. The tribal shop was so vast that, by focusing on weaponry and infrastructure, he had overlooked entire categories.
Ever since the previous night after purchasing the prenatal supplements, Kellar had been reviewing the medical supplies catalog, compiling an inventory of everything available. If he kept farming points from the lava golems in the underground cave beneath the mine, he could fill the village’s medical stores with advanced drugs and medical tech.
Everything else could wait, but medicines—especially anesthesia—were crucial. Filtering through the analgesia section, his eyes locked onto morphine: instant-use injectable doses for 200 points each.
During previous battles against rival tribes and beasts, the lack of proper anesthesia had been the single greatest issue and the primary cause of indirect casualties. Wounded soldiers writhed in pain while healers attempted to stitch deep gashes, clean amputations, or extract arrowhead shards. With these ampoules, he wouldn’t just prevent them from going into neurogenic shock—he could save dozens of lives right on the field.
Scrolling down, he found antivirals for 100 points, broad-spectrum antibiotics, anti-inflammatories, and sterile suture kits. Thanks to his passive Medical Knowledge skill, Kellar’s mind absorbed the formulas, exact dosages, contraindications, and administration methods for every single pharmaceutical.
"Looks like I’ll have to upgrade the medical team..." muttered Kellar to himself, a smirk touching his lips as he took another sip of wine.
While he was distracted reviewing the system interface, movement beneath the table caught his attention. One of the servants—Naya, a woman with dark hair and devoted eyes—had knelt before him. Her hands worked at the laces of his trousers, and before he could react, she had freed his length.
"What are you doing?" asked Kellar, lowering his voice as he glanced at the other servants who continued their work by the fireplace.
Naya looked up at him with reverence, her cheeks flushing but her voice steady. "It is my duty to serve the Great Shaman while his wives are indisposed," whispered Naya.
Kellar shook his head, though his body betrayed him. "You don’t have to do this. No one is forcing you."
"No, my lord," insisted Naya, her grip firming as she leaned closer. "It is my honor, not my obligation. You did not release yesterday. Please, allow me to help you."
Kellar leaned back against the chair, exhaling as he surrendered to the sensation. He had barely settled into the pleasure when another figure approached—Kaelis, a servant with generous curves, who had unlocked her bodice, letting her breasts hang free.
"Madame Mila told us that you enjoy sucking large breasts while receiving pleasure," purred Kaelis, positioning herself beside him. "I hope mine are agreeable enough for you, my lord."
Kellar didn’t hesitate. He turned his head and latched onto one of her nipples, sucking as Kaelis moaned softly above him. Meanwhile, Naya had taken him into her mouth, her head bobbing with intensity.

The dual sensation—the warmth of Kaelis’s breasts in his mouth and the wet heat of Naya’s throat around him—drove Kellar toward the edge. He gripped Kaelis’s waist with one hand while the other rested atop Naya’s head, guiding her rhythm.
With a muffled groan against Kaelis’s flesh, Kellar released, his seed spilling down Naya’s throat. She swallowed every drop without hesitation, pulling back when he was spent, her lips glistening as she smiled up at him.
"Have a great day, Great Shaman," whispered Naya, tucking him back into his trousers with care.
Kaelis adjusted her bodice, her cheeks flushed with arousal, and both women returned to their duties, leaving Kellar to finish his wine with a satisfied sigh.
After finishing his wine, Kellar stepped out of the residence into the biting morning air. He made his way through the snow-dusted streets of the village, heading straight toward the medical compound.
The facility was situated beside the soldiers’ barracks, as the vanguard troops and perimeter patrols were the primary users of the ward, seeking treatment for training accidents, frostbite, and injuries sustained in clashes with mountain beasts.
As he pushed open the reinforced wooden door, the scents of grain alcohol, animal lard, and boiled herbs washed over him. Inside, rows of sturdy wooden cots were arranged. A couple of local healers were bandaging the forearm of a guard who had suffered a mishap during the night watch.
"Great Shaman!" gasped the head healer upon noticing his arrival, setting aside the linen wraps to bow with reverence.
"Carry on," gestured Kellar calmly, stepping into the hall toward the supply storage area. "I have come to inspect the inventory and initiate an overhaul of our medical facilities. Starting today, the way we treat our wounded will undergo a transformation."
The healers exchanged curious glances as Kellar summoned the system interface in his mind to begin purchasing the first batch of advanced pharmaceuticals and sterile surgical tools.
