Trinitas Mundus

Episode 12: The Exorcism of the Frog

The day after the stroll through the city, the two had come to the Guild Branch, early in the morning, to receive a request.

The weather today is cloudy and so far it wasn't going to rain, but tomorrow it will collapse completely, the adventurers around us tell us.

Ashley, looking at the bulletin board,

"Let's make it something that ends in a day. It's going to rain, so the giant frog Giant Toad looks good."

"The giant frog? Why would you do that?

"This guy is timid and hard to come out of. But on a day when it's going to rain this time of year, somehow it shows up in the woods. These guys have a lot of breeding power, so if you want them to hunt when they can hunt, this is a particularly rewarding time of year. But this guy has paralysis poison. We just need to be aware of that."

The giant frog Giant Toad is a giant toad about one and five metres long, with paralytic poison erupting from the long tongue and body surface being the main means of attack.

It's basically a quiet demon, but from spring to summer, requests are constantly being made to keep the number as low as possible in the spring because it grows all at once.

The two hold the request form and head to the reception, where they meet again with a man named Cylon, who was yesterday.

"What, the same frog exorcised? What do you say we do it together?

Theron talks to Ashley that way.

"No, Ray and I are good enough. Would you mind if we just..."

That's what she said, trying to get away from Theron.

Theron took Ashley's arm,

"You don't have to be shy. It's more fun with me than with a raw white guy like that. The others are waiting, so let's go."

She shook the hand she was grabbing away rampantly, staring at Theron,

"Don't touch me! Don't make me say it again and again, I'm telling you I'm going with Ray!

To that voice, within the guild, for a moment, was ruled by silence.

Some people looked at Theron and thought it was a good idea, but there was an atmosphere of sympathy for Theron.

(What is this air? Obviously Ashley will have nothing to do with it. Why?

Ray doesn't understand this vibe, he's confused, but if he can't stay here any longer, he takes Ashley's arm and takes him out of the guild saying, "Let's go quickly".

Theron looked hatefully at the appearance.

(imitate the lick...... that woman Ama, just like my father Hamish, looks down on me. I tried to forgive you if you dare, but you ignored me and you let other men in... damn it, you make fun of me everywhere. Fine, I'll punish you for making fun of me...)

Ashley doesn't know either, but Theron had challenged and lost her father, Hamish Markat, ten years ago.

It challenged Hamish, one of the leading sword users in the Kingdom of Lax, to beat him to the point of no complete skin, at a time when he was most confident, yes, when he had not yet abandoned his dream of becoming a first-degree adventurer.

That's when the word Hamish told me, "Know Yourself," changed his life.

Hamish still just told the chick Cylon to throw away his enlarged self-esteem, but he interpreted it as "you're not enough guy to take".

Having had his pride rattled, he was then greatly rough, and his companions who were with him gradually moved away from him.

And up to the fourth level, it came here in Morton, a relatively small town. Because I thought I could be the "best” here.

A year ago, Ashley came to this city by chance, but since then, Theron has been thinking about giving Hamish something back.

Several illegal traps are set, but she dodges them. And when he found out he was combing with a man who wasn't himself = Ray, he made that biased thought even stronger.

Ray and Ashley were on their way to Lake Turbide, about five kilometers south of Morton.

She still seems in a bad mood, but he decided to ask about a topic related to today's request, a giant frog, in an effort to make him forget about it.

"Hey, can you tell me the weakness of that giant frog Giant Toad? And other precautions besides poison."

She realizes at first, though confused by Ray's desperate talk, that it cares for her, and she just feels a little better.

From the dark look I had just had, I got a slightly brighter look and started talking about demons.

"Weaknesses, they have thin skins and little defense against swords and spears. Especially the belly can be easily cleaved. The caveat is the tongue. Longer than I thought. It's about a 1/5 m body, but the length of my tongue grows more than double that. Trouble is, only the tongue is sturdy and not cleaved with a half-breed slaughter"

Talking about that, I arrived at Lake Turbide in about an hour and a half.

Beautiful lake surrounded by beautiful birchy trees, surrounded by about five km, with a small island in the centre.

The two guard their surroundings, carefully searching for the giant frog Giant Toad.

As I walked by the water for about thirty minutes, I heard a low roar of googoo.

"I found it. There are two or three of them."

Ashley pulls out the sword and Ray sets up a spear as well.

Suddenly, a big black shadow flew up from the grass bushes.

A giant frog jumped at them, jumping at them.

They didn't even sign up, but they avoided it nicely, left and right, and the frog flies between them, arcing. And landed about three meters from them.

"Ray, we're gonna pinch him! Attack first!

When she shouts so, she fills the distance at once and sticks a sword up its back towards the frog who is changing directions.

The frog should be taking the damage, but you haven't felt the pain, and without a squeal, you started to fly the venom.

Ashley, anticipating that attack, pulls the sword out, flies back, and takes the distance again.

Ray sees that, and says it's his turn next, he sticks a spear from the other side of her.

Due to the long range of spears, little venom was delivered, and he strutted the spear several times to itself and to the moving frog before taking a distance once.

Does the frog have more strength or no damage than I thought?

He's moving his eyes slightly, as though to say which one of us should hang the attack, bleeding from his soggy body skin.

Ray looks at Ashley and then moves sideways to turn behind the frog.

The frog has been caught in the motion and his tongue has been stretched out at a fierce speed towards him.

He rushes to play that tongue with a spear, but the elastic tongue stretches toward him with little orbit change.

(Yaba!)

To avoid that tongue attack, he jumped beside the frog to throw his body out.

As he jumps in, he decides that the spear reaches the frog and uses the momentum to slit the soft flank of the frog with a spear.

The frog's belly was torn apart with almost no resistance, and he finally felt the pain, bouncing so that he could play, and began to escape from the spot.

Ashley doesn't miss that timing of jumping up, trying to run in and slash off the left rear leg of the stretched frog.

The frog became one leg, unable to jump and tried to escape, trying to crawl in a jittery, but they stabbed a stop, paying only attention to the venom.

"The first one. Was the poison okay?

That's what Ashley asks, but he replies, "No problem," and goes into collecting the Demonic Crystal Stone.

(Looks like Ray's used to it a lot, too. You should only pay attention to the chronic mind later)

He then knocked down two giant frogs and decided to grab lunch by the promising lake.

Find a slightly higher spot overlooking the lake, sit on a fallen tree and spread your lunch box.

Waterfowls float relaxed on the lake, and the landscape is so peaceful that you can't imagine a giant poisonous frog.

"If the weather is good with this, it would be the best view......"

He didn't tell anyone, one of them was squeaking like that.

"The view... you never thought of it that way. I'm only interested in seeing the woods if they have enemies or not. You often say," Beautiful view here, "or" Beautiful sunset, "but what kind of environment did you grow up in? Even if you're not a mercenary like me, you can't afford to say that at a knight's house..."

He lit up a little,

"Oh, right. But don't you think this is a beautiful place? I don't think it would be strange if this mysterious beauty, the goddess of water, showed up..."

He was gradually beginning to attach himself to this land rich in nature.

I haven't lived here for half a month, but walking out of the city and in the woods is a lot of fun.

I really think so, even if I know that any of them will have to leave this land and embark on a journey to find a way back to Japan.

We had such a relaxing break, but it was still early to get back to the city, and Giant Toad, the giant frog, was about to be hunted, so we kept hunting for another two hours or so before we decided to go back to the city.

As he prepared, he looked toward the lake, and a boat headed toward the island in the middle of the lake caught his eye.

(What are you going to do? It doesn't even look like a fisherman's boat...)

Staring at the boat, Ashley said, "Are you ready?"

He took his gaze off the lake and back to the shore of the lake, picking up his luggage and turning his gaze to the lake again, he saw a fireball flying from that boat.

"Ashley! There's the magic of fire from that ship... what are you after?

By the time she turned her gaze to the lake, the fireballs had already gone out and the boat had been reoriented to keep away from the island.

"What are you talking about? Is something wrong?

She doesn't know what happened and asks him so, but he is also a momentary event and says, "No, nothing...... but is there something on that island?," he muttered to himself, beginning to walk towards the shore of the lake.
