Trinitas Mundus

Episode XXI: After Victory

"Winner, Ray Arklight!

The Cutler Branch Manager's declaration of victory echoes into a training ground with only three people.

Immediately after that declaration, the Branch Manager will run to the entrance and arrange for a healer.

Theron could magic a healer, but he was hurting his artery, or he had more blood buildup at his feet than he thought, and he couldn't seem to get up because he was bleeding heavily.

As soon as the healer asks the Alliance staff to arrange a stretcher, another staff member appears and carries the Theron.

Ashley came into the training ground to replace it.

Seeing Ray's safe appearance, there was a mixture of a soothing look and an unbelievable look.

"You won? You sure you won? Are you hurt... are you all right!

"I'm not hurt a lot, but it hurts a lot...... sorry, this way too please"

Ray calls a healer and asks him to treat the wounds on his face, arms, and clavicle pain.

Some places have been slashed and torn from gaps in armor, but that's just the healer of the mercenary guild, a wound of this magnitude seems to be treatable even from above the armor.

Cutler Branch Manager approached the two of them and said, "Congratulations. You win," he says, giving Ray his right hand.

Ray was taking that hand and bowing his head in embarrassment, "Thank you," he said.

Branch Manager, as worried as to how to ask,

"I want you to let me know if I can help you. This is my interest as a former mercenary. It's not about winning or losing."

"What is it about?

"First of all, your magic, but you didn't seem to be chanting the spell. Unchanted is advanced technology, but does that mean it can be used?

Ray looks at Ashley and sees if he can talk.

She shrugs.

"If you can keep it a secret, I'll talk to you if that's okay."

The Branch Manager shrugged and urged ahead.

As Ray worried about how to answer,

"No chant, or you feel like you're chanting in your heart"

As the Branch Manager contemplates in his answer,

"Well... can you use magic without a voice... you shouldn't do it in public too much. I've heard that unchanging can only be used by fairly high-ranking sorcerers. If you want to avoid useless trouble, you should try to whine the proper spell in public."

When Ray snorts, he keeps asking questions.

"I want to hear one more thing. Theron's movements would have suddenly gone crazy. Your magic shouldn't have hit him then. Yet the movement went crazy. Why? What did you do?

"That struck the dark magic into Theron's shadow. If you build a pile of darkness and punch it into the shadows, somehow the body will be affected by it too. I don't know how it works. Coincidentally, I noticed... the magic of darkness itself, I can't really use it by waving a big hand, and this time, it's magic that works like a curse, so I don't really want them to know."

The Branch Manager did not understand, but is convinced that magic of dark attributes could be possible.

"Okay. I won't tell anyone the details. Let's just say to Yuan (Head of the Solo Adventurer Guild Branch) that he also magically suppressed Theron's movements. Yeah, I'll tell you about the results. Of course, I'll make sure that Theron's in shape here, so don't worry."

The two thank the Branch Manager and leave the spot behind.

Ray's Dark Attribute Magic is a magic called “shadow stitching” that hints at ninja moves that were found in games or comics.

The shadow has no entity and cannot stop movement by nature, but it was knitted with an enlarged interpretation of the dimension, space, and even more acting on the spirit, which is characteristic of the dark attribute magic.

On the afternoon of the day the duel was decided, I tried to hang it on myself under no means, and I felt somewhat inhibited from moving. All I had to do was try a lot of different ways to use it and verify activation conditions, effects, etc. with Ashley.

As a result, he discovered that due to the intensity and size of the shadow, the effect would change, specifying the time when the shadow would be longer, around evening, as the time of the duel. And as a place where the sun from the west plunged in, he chose the Mercenary Guild training ground as a place to duel.

With the intention of using the original magic, I shut out the spectator, but if I had a spectator, I wouldn't have used this “shadow stitch”. Because it could have been a problem if Bishop Azaro of Phototheism had known about it.

And since the weather was fortunate today, I could use it, but if the weather is bad, I can't use this magic. In that case, he was going to close all the windows and blink them with flashing magic, but because Theron had read the flashing magic, if the weather were bad, Ray would still feel terrified that this victory was just a blessing.

(Glad the weather is nice. If it were cloudy or rainy, I might not have won...... thank heaven exactly)

Results were also communicated to the mercenaries who were outside, with loud cheers.

Theron was so hated by the mercenaries that several mercenaries slapped Ray on the shoulder leaving the training ground.

Ray was mentally exhausted by a duel that was finally over,

(Done... Tired... Let's go home with this today...)

Back to his thoughts, he is pulled by the mercenaries with Ashley.

Apparently, Shabby said he was going to celebrate the victory and was “abducted” by a liquor store that was still a stash of mercenaries.

As far as he was concerned, he wanted to clean the blood on and under his armor, but he went into the tavern, still in armor dirty to blood.

(I hope you at least let me get dressed. But isn't it an atmosphere...)

And next door, Ashley, who usually didn't change her expression too much, had a rare, full-blown grin.

(Ashley seems happy, okay? I guess I felt like I could be the first "star” in my life. This could be a good thing too......)

As soon as we got to the tavern, Shabby showed up and stood on an empty table,

"All right, here comes the lead! Guys, it's the new Hero Victory Party! It's me and Ashley's luxury today, drink up a lot! Ray! You're not sitting down, either. Say something!

Ray blushes at the words and stands up, urging everyone. I didn't know what to say, so I raised my hand silently and was responding.

Ray then drinks, as recommended by nearly twenty mercenaries.

Ashley, who is lying next to him, also looks more like he's vacating a jock on the high pitch than usual, but he doesn't look drunk. But soon he couldn't afford to look out for that.

Around him the mercenaries gathered and said, "How did you beat that Theron?" or "Make the spear look good," there were different voices hanging.

He skips talking about magic, but as everyone asks, he talks about the duel.

"More than enough from the starting voice, I kept getting attacked. I managed to avoid them because they gave me an archery, but it was terrible..."

He tells the story, pointing to his armor.

When the noisy mercenaries started talking about him, they all listened.

When the story enters the good realm, he wonders how to explain it.

(Can't say I magically stopped the movement, let's just say I'm tired of attacking...)

"... It's been quite a while since the start, and it looks like Theron just got tired, and he just chipped out a little bit when he made a big attack. At that time, I thought," If I provoke you here, I might upside down. "I tried provoking you. Then I went backwards as I thought... and then it was terrible. Until then, a magnificent sword sword sword strike like a lie..."

When his story is over, the hustle and bustle come back to life again.

When we finished talking about the duel, we moved on to the subject of everyone's interest, Ray's relationship with Ashley.

Especially to Ray, "It's more awesome to have" dropped ”Ashley than to have defeated Theron!," or "Better stay away from Fonce (King's Capital of the Kingdom of Lax). Theron was waiting for a big man, not an eye," and everyone was laughing.

Ashley, who usually revolts against those words, was also just shy to lay face to face today.

The mercenaries got even more excited about Ray making his face red every time he was made fun of and what Ashley looked like to be embarrassed.

Ray thanked Ashley and Shabby while he was conscious because he felt intoxicated as he was.

"Thank you both. If I hadn't gotten the two of you to work out, by now, you might have died. Thank you so much."

Shabby laughs lightly, "Never mind because it was fun".

Ashley, on the other hand, had a serious look,

"This time it's your strength. I did some help, but it's just a help. Hey, Shabby."

Shabby will also look a little serious,

"Right. At first, I thought," This guy can't do it, "but you changed your mind right away. It's not about asking a guy who's lost his memory, but you, I wonder what kind of life he's had. Normal warriors don't know how to fight like that."

Ray says he can't answer, laughing and deluding,

(That's really distressing. I want to confess everything. But to tell you, what happens to this relationship...... I was gonna tell Ashley, but maybe I shouldn't say anything extra when this happens. But that sounds like a trick...)

The banquet, which began before 4 p.m., will be held once around 7 p.m.

Because Ray, the lead actor, got totally drunk, as he expected. Of course, the mercenaries, including Shabby, are still going to drink.

Ashley was pretty drunk, too, but he lent him his shoulder and managed to get him back to the inn.

She looked at the armor with the blood on it,

(You really won. You can welcome me with you tomorrow morning)

And she was remembering last night.

(You said you had something you wanted me to hear, but you can't do it today... but I've stood on the battlefield many times, but I've never been happier that my people survived. From now on, if I could spend any time with this guy... someone said I'd have to go to Fonce once. We need to talk to the captain (Father)...)

At 8 p.m., we arrive at the Silver Bell Pavilion of the two sleepovers.

The dame, Bianca, had already heard from adventurers and mercenaries the result of today's duel and was not worried, but was once again surprised to see Ray in blood painted armor and that it was a real fierce battle.

"Is he all right? It's bloody..."

Instead of Drunken Ray, Ashley answers.

"Oh, I'm fine. The treatment is already over... but thank you for your concern..."

Bianca in that word,

"Oh, have we made further progress? But don't attack a drunk man. He seems like the first time, so make sure he's conscious. Hehe..."

Drunken Ashley didn't know what the word meant at first, but soon realizes what it meant.

And then I got drunk and made my red face even more red tide,

"I won't do that! Properly...... no, I'll leave the room as soon as I get my gear off. It's true!

Bianca laughed and said, "Tomorrow morning it's okay to slow down," and headed towards the kitchen.

Ashley goes up the stairs to pull Ray over and thinks about taking him to his room, but soon,

(You can't close the key in this condition. careless and take me to my room...... I just need to sleep on the floor......)

After removing all Ray's gear and letting him change, put him to sleep in his own bed.

(You're really defenseless. Get some rest... I'm getting sleepy... suppose I'll sleep too...)

Ashley took his gear off, took out a blanket for the wild boarding house, put the wall behind him and fell asleep.

The next morning, I thought Ray woke up in his room.

(Ugh, my head hurts. Is this the guy with the hangover...... disgusting...... how did he get back? I remember yesterday to the point where I was having fun drinking at the liquor store... who carried me? Is that Ashley?... Let's go to the bathroom for now...)

When he tries to get out of bed, he realizes his gear is off. And I doubt I'm even dressed, but I never thought deeper.

(Gear has been removed and dressed... not quite... disgusting...)

He forced his heavy body up and tried to get out of bed.

And when I saw Ashley sleeping on the back of the wall, it solidified.

(Oh, Ashley? How come you're in my room... yeah? Isn't that my room? Could it be... Ashley's room...)

He is surprised by the fact that he slept in her room and forgets for a moment how sick he feels about hangovers.

I felt signs of him waking up and Ashley woke up.

She rubbed her sleepy eyes, yawning,

"Morning. How are you feeling? I've been drinking a lot, so you can still sleep."

Ray couldn't answer that, and it was solidifying.

Ashley mistakenly took that for feeling bad,

"What's up? You don't feel well? Should I get you some water?

So I finally restarted Ray,

"This is Ashley's room, isn't it? Why..."

"Oh, I tried to take you to your room, but you brought me to my room that you wouldn't be able to close the key. Yeah, I'm used to camping, so I don't have a problem sleeping on the floor. Yeah? What's up?

"... Ashley even changed her clothes for me..."

"Oh, yeah, but was there a problem?

Ray heard the words and was wolfish.

The same goes for having me dressed, but after I lost my memory, I couldn't remember what I told him and was wondering if he was running weird.

But soon the nausea hit me back, so I ran into the bathroom before Ashley asked.
