Lesson 37: Preparation

May 4.

Ray and Ashley were haunting their minds to make a trap based on yesterday's failures.

Before considering the trap, Ray asks Ashley, a senior adventurer, about the basics of the trap.

"You don't use traps or anything to hunt big demons?

"Never... if you're a big demon, a big ghost, an orga, or a demonic doll, a golem, don't stop at a pit or drop a rock off a cliff"

"What about fire attacks?

"Insect systems and the amorphous demon Slime work, but large demons are not easy enough to create traps that can be defeated by fire. Just because the amount of oil is stupid."

He groans, "Well," then he thinks in silence.

(Surely it's hard to burn down Serpent, that size snake dragon, with oil. Pitfalls don't seem to work if they're in that shape, and there's no place to drop rocks. The target is too thin to think of a good hand even if you drop a round thickness pointing from the top of a tree... yeah? Speaking of which, snake dragons are reptiles, too. Can't you blunt your movements with ice magic?

He comes up with freezing the snake dragon and tells Ashley about it,

"Maybe it won't work. The Green Snake Dragon is a water attribute. Water attributes are resistant to ice, cold temperatures"

Ray drops his shoulder disappointingly, "Can't you do this, too?"

"It's a third level demon. If you find a way to defeat them so easily, they're all doing it."

"That's right..."

"We don't have to take them down alone. If you can't, you should also call the defense team and let them form a crusade."

Stuck Ray started hanging around the village wondering if he had any tips.

The village of Rattley is a semi-finished village with a small fishing port. There are about ten small fishing boats with three or four passengers in the fishing port, and I don't see anything blind.

I also went to the field, but plants like potatoes or legumes were just planted, leaving dead leaves and stems unattended.

I came back inside the village, but I just saw him taking care of the nets everywhere, and I didn't see anything to hint at.

(I wonder if I can do it after all. Do I have to ask the defense team to do what Ash says? That's why I'm talking about not moving until the victim gets out... and that's a little too...)

Ray walks with his bluff and thinks further.

(Let's sort it out one by one. For the Snake Dragon, Ash's sword doesn't work. My magic doesn't work alone either. [M] Perhaps scratching even the strongest thunder, Kazuchi, would do the best... if it worked, it would be enough to have my spear, Album Cornu, wrap the magic around it, as I did in the Hydra battle. How effective does it still work on thicker bodies with stiffer scales than hydra......)

He concluded that it would be difficult to defeat the third-degree equivalent of a snake dragon on his own.

(... because we're going to need some other means, a trap. We don't have enough supplies to create a big trap. It's what we have here, and we just have to make it in time with something that won't interfere with our later lives... his weakness is "fire." If we can use oil, I guess it's easier, but I don't know how much oil we need to bake that giant... bake a giant? Don't you have to burn it all? head would be enough...... still needs a lot of oil to cook that big head......)

Ray, who walks with a bump and a grunt, doesn't realize he's been seen with weird eyes by the villagers.

(Don't you need to burn your head? If you do damage to your head...... crush it with rocks. Strike the pile in. Suffocate. Poison him... No. The rock is not as bad as dropping it. Pulling it up on a tree, but a rock of that weight would bounce it back...... you can't even punch a pile in. That hard scale doesn't penetrate the whole thing just pointy... choking... suppose the snake dragon was a reptile, surely the reptile should have been resistant to lack of acid. It would be effective if you were a mammal with a developed brain, but you look retarded... poison... don't you have poison in the first place...)

Ray, who can't think of a good idea, sits on the spot.

Looking forward, he's playing with the bugs the kids caught tied to the thread.

The worm flies to escape, but is connected by thread, so it is glued around the scene.

(I do this kind of play everywhere. I've never done this before, but when I was in elementary school, there was this guy who used to do it...)

As the worm changes its orbit many times, the thread becomes entangled.

At the end of the day, he was also entangled in wings and fell straight to the ground.

(Yeah? Maybe I can use it......)

From the children's play, Ray ran under Ashley to consider the tipped proposal.

Ashley was also listening to his proposal, "Then we might figure it out," he said, sparkling his eyes.

From that day on, the two of them began to prepare for the Snake Dragon hunt.

Seven days had already passed since Zambrotta Azaro, bishop of Phototheism, was placed under house arrest in a silent room.

He was hurting his own fingers and silently making a magic formation. However, in order to draw a complex magic formation with your fingers, the magic formation itself will need to be larger and the size of a cup of doors - more than a meter in diameter. As a result, it had not progressed as late.

(Yeah, quick, I have to draw fast to be noticed. No, before you are noticed, you may receive a life of recall from the denominational branch of Fonce. Quickly......)

He gradually strengthened the colour of madness, and even when the midwives, who were his men, offered him meals, he kept his eyes open and his mouth moving with bumps. Seeing that appearance, the Festivals thought they had finally gone mad and loosened their eyes of surveillance.

Azaro spent three more days completing the magic formation late on the seventh of May.

May 6.

The fishermen stopped heading to Lake Drameny and were no longer attacked by snake dragons.

Meanwhile, the sightings were gone, and we had no idea where Snake Dragon was now.

Ray and Ashley were headed to the southwest shore of Lake Drameny under cloudy skies to determine where to install the trap.

"If you're gone with this, I'm all hail..."

"It won't. This lake is rich in food. You'll stay here without pulling into the back of the original mountain. The only way to avoid damage is to knock them out before they get closer to the village."

After noon, the two arrived where they had fought Snake Dragon two days earlier.

The two move vigilantly to a place where the lake can be seen and stare towards the lake.

There was no shadow of a snake dragon there, just a quiet lake surface spread out.

"Did you move somewhere? That's awkward..."

When Ray groaned so, Ashley said,

"You'll be quick to judge that. It's always early morning to be attacked. Maybe he sleeps somewhere during the day..."

And after a little thought,

"Ray, can you use the magic of fire I used on the signal before, the magic that makes that loud noise"

"You wake up hitting a sleeping snake dragon. Copy that. Where do I aim?

Ashley pointed to the lake surface near the shore and instructed him to "go over there".

Ray shoots the magic of the fireworks into the place.

Horizontally shot fireworks, after the sound of Hulhul, make a bursting sound called Pern and tap the surface of the water.

We can make big ripples on the water, but there's no sign of a snake dragon coming out.

"Aren't you there?" The moment Ray said, "Ashley points east about 100 meters from where he shot the magic in," Look over there, "he said. There was a snake dragon sickle sticking out of the water.

When they checked the snake dragon, they headed to the back of the woods and watched how it was going.

Snake Dragon glued around the area where he shot the magic in, making sure nothing was there, and dived into the water.

Usually he dived in the water and rested and seemed to be attacking when he heard the ship approaching.

They come to the conclusion that they will still keep lurking around here, looking for a place to set up a trap.

In about two hours I found the right place to set up the trap Ray had thought of and went back to the village.

Upon returning to the village chief's house, he asks the chief of the village of Chiaran for an overview of the operation and help with the installation of the trap.

The village chief who heard about the operation,

"Okay. If that's what you can do, it's cheap. No, it was cheap to fail. But is it okay to use the villagers to install the traps? Being attacked by a snake dragon..."

In contrast, when Ashley

"It's okay, village chief. Snake dragons lurk in the water during the day. Even if you go ashore, if you run and run, you can escape. And if you're too guzzled, you might come to the village."

I heard that the village might be attacked, and to the village chief who turns blue,

"Gather as many men as you can. The trap takes an entire day. No, given the weather, you should watch it for two days."

Village elders say it will rain tomorrow, and because of that, we cannot work on installing Ray's contemplated trap. As soon as the rain stopped, I decided to head to the installation.

In the evening, the village chief had gathered the men and instructed them to help set up the trap.

"Everyone, we need the power of Nona to exterminate Snake Dragon. Give me a hand to protect the village."

About twenty men look anxious but hear that the village may be attacked and their expressions change.

"I'll do it! To protect the village. Say anything!

When one young man stood up, the other men stood up one after the other, waving their fists up.

Ray looked at that,

(If it didn't have those cute cat ears on it, it would be a serial scene... thanks Cat. If you do a man-smelling trick with your ears, it looks cosplay... no. We're all serious, so don't laugh...)

He was laughing at the way twenty men with pico and moving cat ears were waving their fists up and gaining momentum.

Ashley realizes something is wrong with Ray, but she immediately explained to the men about her work from the day after tomorrow.

"Everybody, listen to me! If the rain stops the morning after tomorrow, I will carry the supplies I will use for the trap in the early morning. It would be easier if the ship could be used, but it could be attacked by a snake dragon, so I carry it on foot..."

When Ashley started explaining, the men listened seriously to the explanation.

May 8.

The rain the day before also seemed to have stopped at night, and the village of Rattley had been clear since the early morning.

Ashley told the men gathered in front of the village chief's house,

"All of you, grab your assigned baggage! All I have to do in the morning is carry that package. (2) I will go back and forth so please do so with the intention of doing so. Help me set up a trap at noon."

And against Ray,

"I'll take the lead, Ray, ask for the tail. If the defectors are about to leave, give me a signal."

Ray nodded, "Let's go!" When he gave the signal out loud, the men hung up, "Wow!" and started walking.

On their backs are carried various things, like rounded ropes, small barrels, etc. And the biggest one was like a chunk of garbage, to be taken care of by a few men.

When we get to the place where the trap is to be installed in two hours, we unload our bags and return to the village again.

The men walked silently and ended the carriage of their scheduled luggage.

May 8.

Yesterday, Theron, who was walking alone in the rain, was lurking in a farmhouse near the city of Morton.

(I've got terrible eyes. They're waiting here until we hear from them, but I wonder how long they'll wait. I don't know if this place is safe, but if I can kill Ray's guy, I can't help but take some risks...)

He couldn't even go outside, he was sleeping in a small cabin that was away.

Just before sunset, an adventurous man visits the cabin.

"Head to Lake Turbide now. They said you could use a handkerchief this time."

That's all I said, it immediately disappeared from that cabin.

(Lake Turbide... isn't that where you did the frog exorcism... from now on, the date will change... you have no choice. suppose to go......)
