Trinitas Mundus

Episode Eight: Another Will

The next day, it is arguably the early summer of late May, but the wind through the hills was refreshing and the sky was blue and clear. Under its refreshing sunny weather, Loris Deoddard's funeral takes place in the Temple of Darkness.

The funeral proceeded without delay, without the obstruction of phototheism that Ray was concerned about.

The priest of the Temple of Darkness, in a stern voice, prays to God.

"Rest in peace, Noctis, the god of the night. Loris Deoddard's soul to rest in peace beneath you..."

No one is related to Deoddard here. But all those gathered here were sincerely mourning his death.

Branch manager Morkley was crying out loud, despite having his own men. But none of his men tried to laugh about it.

For them too, Deoddard was a beloved figure. And I understood Morkley because I knew how he respected Deoddard.

Ray also remembers Deoddard, and Morkley fishes him and he's about to zero his tears. He was in desperate tears.

The funeral proceeded solemnly, and Deoddard's body was so close to the Temple of Darkness that it was buried in the cemetery.

Morkley had taken it to the coffin and cried, but after his last goodbye, he had regained his composure.

Can't Stella do the act of crying, when the coffin was buried, she didn't show any expression? But Ray knows that a single tear broke out.

(Stella can't put her emotions outside. I guess this is hard. I've been planted that way since I was a little girl, and I've lived my life pushing emotions to death. Even in my two years with Mr. Deoddard, I haven't improved much. If that happens, it might be hard to get ahead of you...)

As Ray watched Deoddard's body buried, he wondered, uh, if it was okay for his relatives to bury him in this land where no one was present.

(Could I have made a grave here? I wonder what your boys will do? But it's going to take about a month to get to Aurelia, so you can't carry the body...)

After the burial, I asked Morkley about it.

"Master Ray has lost his memory, hasn't he? The tomb markers that can be built here are provisional. For the true tomb, deliver the Demonic Crystal Stone. The Grand Master's Demon Crystal Stone, along with the Grand Mistress's Demon Crystal Stone, has already been sent for Aurelia, so your husbands should be able to establish a real tomb"

(Demonic crystal stone is a shard of the soul. Where I delivered the magic crystal stone, it became a tomb. I see... Mr. Deoddard kept his wife's demonic crystal stone on his skin. I was traveling with my wife...)

There was one man watching as he was buried in the cemetery.

The man approaches quietly and speaks to employees of the Deodard Chamber of Commerce.

"I'm so sorry to hear about Mr. Deoddard...... really. Thank you for your help back in the day and I was hoping to thank you sooner or later...... by the way, are you a relative of Mr. Deoddard's if you are there?

The man was pointing to the Rays.

"I hear you're an heir, but for more information... as far as the Branch Manager is concerned, you're like a relative?... By the way, who are you?

By the time the employee had finished talking, the man was no longer there.

The funeral ends safely, with Ray, Ashley and Stella and Morkley returning to the Chamber of Commerce.

When he arrived at the Chamber of Commerce, Morkley began to speak to Ray.

"Have you changed your mind about Mr. Stella's liberation of slaves?

"Yes, I'm going to go now," Ray nodded loudly, confirmed Morkley so.

And when the three of them tried to make their way to the commercial guild, the mysterious faceted Morkley said, "I'll tell you all about the will of my great husband," and was put through to the reception room.

"The Big Master has ordered me to tell Ray if he decides to take over Mr. Stella"

"What? Isn't it just the will I saw in the bureau?

"Yes, he wants me to tell him why the Big Master entrusted Mr. Stella to Master Ray..."

The three stare at Morkley, silently waiting for the story to begin.

"First, we have to tell you from there why the Great Husband showed up in the city of Morton. And that's going to be a little long."

When everyone nodded, Morkley started talking quietly.

"The Big Master said he started to get sick about six months ago. And when I saw Aurelia's healer, she said she was told it was already too late, just like the Grand Mistress. So the archbishop thought about returning his interest in light divinity. Healing of Phototheism If you cure a disease that cannot be cured by magic, with the medicine of a famous pharmacist in Raulus, you will let the world know that the miracle of the god of Phototheism is a wonder, and you will be made to blow a bubble by a greedy boy..."

Morkley breathes deeply and also looks worried about how to talk.

"... so he headed to Sea Roux, where he was in a healer who had previously seen Oo. Naturally, they said it was too late, and the eldest sir, on his feet, went to Raulus, king's capital of Sartooth by sea..."

From Aurelia to Paxlumen, the sacred capital of Lukes, there are more than 3,000 km by sea and from Paxlumen to Rauls more than 4,000 km. On sailboats in this world, it can be more than a hundred days of sea journey, even if it goes smoothly.

"... The eldest husband said he arrived in Laurus about two months ago while his body was eroded by the disease. And I was asked to find a famous elf pharmacist in Sartooth, that pharmacist, a magician of water and wood attributes, and to formulate the medicine. But the pharmacist said the eldest husband's illness“ can't be cured by medication already, I had him come this far around the corner, but the time left was long and three months ”and pronounced him dead. And he formulated medicines to remove the pain so that he could use the rest of his time effectively..."

(Is that the medicine you always took...)

"The eldest husband, who received the medicine from the pharmacist, said he had chosen the land route, intending to give up living and return while meeting someone he knew for the last time. Yuan of Morton, no, you were head of the Solo branch... you went out of your way to see Lord Solo and me... in Morton, you met Lord Solo, and at that time, he was asked about Master Ray..."

(Is Mr. Morkley also an acquaintance of the Solow Branch Manager? And why are you talking about me?

"Are you talking about me?

"Yes, Solow Branch Manager said Master Ray had been consulted on what to do because he was in trouble with Phototheism. So, the archdeacon said he heard that Master Ray confronted the bishop of the Light Divinity and let the Light Divinity blow a bubble, which made him very pleased at first. But you said you didn't like your narrowness and ugliness."

"Is Mr. Deoddard his narrow weight...... I think he's an unaffiliated person"

"I thought so, too. So, when I asked him what story he had heard, he said that Lady Ray had made an effort to correct the priest of the Light God and to transform the Temple of Light into its original form. In exchange, he said that he had just wasted his own life trying to change them in return for his interest..."

"Oh, no... I didn't do such a big thing... I just did that payback because Ash was ridiculed..."

"The Great Master said," When I lost my wife, for the first time, someone less fortunate than me came before me and was willing to help. But I didn't even try to think about someone who was tormented like me by light divinity ”..."

(That's overrated... I'm not such a fine person...)

"And,“ Ray, you tried to help those who were tormented by changing the minds of the priest of the Temple of Light. In exchange for that, what was I doing? While I had a weapon called financial power, I didn't try to do anything. I didn't even try to help Stella by just being with her ”..."

"That's a mistake. I helped Stella. Normal people can't."

"Right. I said the same thing to my big husband. But laugh, this is what you said.“ Ray, with wisdom, you made it. Non would have made no fortune of it. I just made sure they didn't kill me about Stella either. Nothing more... ". Honestly, I'm not sure. But didn't the Big Master see to you, Master Ray, what he wanted?"

(There's something painful about being overrated so far... I'm not that great of a person...)

When Ray tries to say something, Morkley laughs and starts talking first.

"I don't think there's anything hard to think about. The Big Master said," I just take it personally. So I couldn't say it face to face. "Because you said so."

"Is that why Mr. Deoddard entrusted Stella to me? Because I didn't give in to light godliness."

"I understand. The Big Master said," Ray, you didn't change your attitude when you found out who Stella was. On the contrary, he even showed care. Ashley, you were the same. I was sexually happy about that. ”You said. So I don't think you wanted Master Ray to fight Light Divinity. Weren't you wondering if you would return Mr. Stella to“ people ”? It's just my own imagination."

Ashley listened to the story,

(If Ray does, maybe he can get Stella back to “people”. Was Lord Deoddard feeling that?

"Finally, let me also thank you from me. Dear Ray, Dear Ashley, I thank you both for making the Big Husband's last hour a better one. Coincidentally, if you hadn't traveled with me, my lord, I don't think I would have been able to achieve a more peaceful end. Thank you so much."

Morkley bows her head deeply. On the floor at his feet were traces of tears falling.

Having finished talking about Deoddard's will, Morkley has suddenly changed the story, as if to change the damp atmosphere.

"By the way, are you going to be registered as a mercenary or an adventurer after you let Mr. Stella go?

Ray and Ashley are surprised by a story that has suddenly changed and look at each other.

"You weren't thinking. Though I wish I had registered with Fonce. What do you say, Ray?

"Right. I didn't think about it. You're out of orbs...... why don't we sign up for both anyway?

"If so, you should go sign up one way or the other first," suggests Morkley, who listened to the two conversations and grinned.

Ray had no idea why. Looking at Ashley seemed to notice something, but Morkley began to smile and explain it, like she had come up with a hoax.

"What, I'm talking about taxes. When you are freed from slavery, you will be registered as a resident of that land. Doing so incurs a headcount tax. Anyway, if you're going to be an adventurer or a mercenary, it's better to register first and save taxes."

(You know what... I usually live in that land liberated, so I guess it's no problem, but Mr. Morkley's right)

Convinced, Ray decided to go to the nearest Adventurer Guild.

Head to the reception to enter the guild and register as an adventurer.

Since it was before noon and the least person time, the reception was idle and the registration process would be completed immediately.

In about thirty minutes the orb was complete and the smiling receptionist announced the registration was complete.

"Dear Stella, your registration is complete. Now Master Stella is also a Class Ten Adventurer. Welcome to the Adventurer Alliance."

Stella was putting the orb in her left hand and checking for information.

Ray, concerned about Stella's level, was asking Stella's level.

Swordsman level 43.

He was surprised by the answer, as well as convinced.

"Was Ash forty-two? Stella's more expensive. I'm not supposed to be in the right place."

"Oh, as expected, no, it's not weird to be a little higher. What about other skill levels?

"Forty throws, forty martial arts, thirty-two bows, fifty physical arts, equestrian..."

Ray was flat, on average, at a high level with that number.

(Which is as good as Mr. Shabby, who mentored me in the very veteran class, Morton. I'm still seventeen years old... and what kind of training did they do in "Li”? It's not just training, it's not going to get this far, so I guess it's a real fight... a human training. Horrible......)

Ashley was equally surprised.

(I also trained from a very young age and with eight years of experience in action I came to my current level. But Stella is still seventeen. I thought the rumors about Luke's Beast Troop were half the story, but maybe it's a horrible bunch more than the rumors. But a body surgery fifty...... that move would convince me...... but it's called Ray, Stella, it makes my confidence go away all the time...... thats funny......)

The three leave the Adventurers Guild, return to the Chamber of Commerce and join Morkley. When he said, "Now I'll show you to the commercial guild," he remembered something and said, "Ah!," he exclaims.

"Excuse me. Dear Ray, Ashley's cash received has been confirmed, so I was going to tell you about it, but I was losing it."

As soon as Morkley signals the employee, the leather bag is brought in.

"Due to strict instructions from the Grand Master, the Chamber of Commerce and I were unable to offer funeral expenses, fees for procedures, etc. The assessment of the jewellery was to be carried out strictly, so the amount received by the two of you would be 51,3 hundred and twenty C (krona). This does not include an assessment of the light carriage and the tools you had."

The two lose words to the amount.

(50,000 C... 50 million yen, right? Is that what you carry around so much, big rich...)

"For once, we have prepared it in white gold, but if you prefer jewellery, you can have it there."

The two remain solidified, unable to answer.

Morkley said, "May I?," he asked again, and the words finally came out.

"Oh, is that so much! I heard you were funding your journey."

Morkley had a flat look,

"Yes, I was wondering if this would still be considerably less if you were as good as the Big Master"

Ray, after a little thought,

"Okay. Received in white gold coins. That's fine, and Ash."

Ashley said, "Oh," all I had to do was answer.

"Are you sure? It'll weigh a lot, though?

Ray thought he should keep his storage magic, in the item box, so I'll be quick to acknowledge.

Skin bags containing dozens of pieces of currency were tightly heavy and for now they were kept at the Chamber of Commerce before heading to the commercial guild.
