Trinitas Mundus

Episode IX: Slave Liberation

The commercial guild was right near the Deodard Chamber of Commerce, and as Morkley walked in, several merchants spoke to him. It was a word of condolence for Deoddard, a word of comfort for him.

Seeing how it went, Ray thought Morkley's personality was all over the place.

(Even commercial guilds with rivals cornering each other, Mr. Morkley's personality is admittedly...)

Morkley leads me through, and the three of them go into the reception room in the back. A rep immediately appeared and Morkley explained the situation.

"Now, Master Ray Arklight is in possession, we will conduct the process of freeing the slave stellar. First of all, let me confirm the supporting documents that I have received…"

The document is then checked, etc.,

"If it were meant to be, it would have been necessary to carry out a transfer of ownership process from the former owner, Loris Deoddard, to Mr. Arklight, but it means inheritance, so the transfer of ownership process would be omitted and the slave liberation process would be carried out under the authority of the Alliance…"

The person in charge explained that the owner's magic pattern was originally the key to the collar, so once ownership had not been transferred, the release process would not be possible. This time, however, in order to liberate immediately, the Alliance's authority, which hits the master key, was to be freed directly.

A rep puts Stella in a large box-shaped demonic prop. It was just the same size as the box I used to make the orb.

As Stella enters, several officials appear and carry out the operation.

When Ray and Ashley look at it strangely,

"Slave liberation is easy if the owner does it. Because all you have to do is drain blood on your collar and say a predetermined word of liberation. The transfer of ownership is the same. Because if the former owner and the new owner are together, after the former owner has said the words of transfer of ownership by draining blood on the collar, the new owner just needs to drain his own blood and activate the collar. This time, we need to transfer ownership to the guild, so we need multiple approvals from branch managers, deputy branch managers, etc."

To Morkley's description,

(Are you making it a system where guild officials can't take ownership at will...)

After a series of operations, Stella came out of the box.

In that hand was the collar of a slave who wore it around his neck. And give Ray the collar.

Ray, who was given this collar, is in trouble as to what to do,

"What should I do with this?

"It's reusable, so you can have it. If you don't need it, you can buy it off your guild."

Ray decided to sell it to the guild. Stella looks at Ray with a slightly lonely face.

The slave collar was expensive in addition to his thoughts and sold for five thousand C.

"Slave collars are tough when abused, so we try to pick them up for a high price. Consider removing the collar from dead or unwanted slaves so that no one can abuse it."

Ray, whose sense of money was already paralysing, had not listened to him in a busy manner.

(Five million yen... Sure it's expensive, but I don't think anyone who abuses this amount will)

Behind Ray, Stella cared firmly around her neck.

"What's up? Stella."

"It's the first time I've removed it since I was born... it feels a little weird..."

I seem to feel uncomfortable with the collar that I have always worn since I became conscious.

(Shall I buy you a choker type necklace later? Will Ash be in a bad mood...... let's talk about it)

After he notes that in his heart, he speaks to Stella.

"Now Stella's not“ Stella the Slave, "she's our“ buddy Stella. "How are you feeling?

"My buddy Stella... I don't know. But..."

Stella says something and mumbles.

"... sorry. I don't know."

Ray expected something to have changed.

(Can't it change that suddenly? Can I change it one by one?)

Ashley was a little sinking in her heart as she watched Ray lay down Stella.

(I still seem to be jealous. I wonder what to do. this feeling......)

The four return from their commercial guild to the Chamber of Commerce to look at light carriages, etc.

"The Big Master's belongings can also be made to be bought away at a fair price. For once, an assessment was made. If you sell everything, it will be two thousand C. Light carriages are good stuff, but there is no demand around here, so they are pretty cheap. If it was around Fonce, they'd probably buy it more than 20% higher."

"I think that's fine. If Stella wants you to look at her luggage, I'd rather sell her something else."

"I don't mind that either. We don't need a carriage, and we have what we need."

When Stella checks her luggage, she selects out some of the things she needs for the trip.

"It's a memorable thing with Mr. Deoddard, is that all you need?

"Yes...... but not sure which one to choose"

When I asked Morkley to buy it, he didn't seem to have chosen a large amount of

"Now what you choose won't even reach 50C when it comes to the buying price. I'm going to buy it all together, so I'm going to buy it at 2,000 C."

Ray looks at Ashley and then nods.

(In one day today, Ash and I increased our assets by nearly 60,000 C at once. Even half of what I have is 40,000 C. Forty million yen... you can buy a house in Japan in cash. Well, this 60,000 belongs to Stella. What Stella makes you have when she stands alone. I know it's a shame, but with all this money, you don't really feel the other way around)

To thank Morkley, he went back to work.

(I guess he's really a busy guy. He's a really good guy for dealing with us. If you think so, you could have kept Stella... but Mr. Deoddard wanted us to be with him. He seemed to think of something more different as well as being close to his age or his profession...)

Still, it was just after 2 p.m., so I decided to head to the mercenary guild for Stella's registration and a report on the Rays' request.

As for Ray and Ashley's request to escort Deoddard, I don't know if it will be accomplished or canceled along the way, but at least I will need to report to the Alliance.

I wish I had listened yesterday when I checked the orb, but I was distracted because there was an official.

Ray tells Ashley, a veteran mercenary, "How are we going to treat you when this happens?" I ask.

"Right. Because it's the death of the client… Cancellation for reasons on the part of the client, so I think it will be accomplished, but it will be left to the discretion of the branch manager, so I can't say either way."

"Well... if I treat it like I've achieved it, I'll be able to satisfy my Mercenary Alliance promotion conditions..."

Ray's number of consignments is not sufficient for the provision of four and ten or more times, but the number of days will be thirteen, thus completing at least ten days of the provision. If you treat it like an achievement, it is possible that Ray, the magician thirty-nine, can be promoted to the fifth level at once.

The three entered the mercenary guild and first made a status report on Ray and Ashley's request.

Then the receptionist took out some paper,

"Dear Ashley, when it comes to Ray's request, it will be accomplished. For the remuneration, 80 C per person per working day will be paid. Okay, Orb, please."

In the contract they entered into, it was one thousand C per person for escorts from Morton to Aurelia and five hundred C for advances. At the time of cancellation for reasons on the part of the client, 10C was to be paid as a per diem. Although not so expensive in monetary terms, it can be said that it is quite a favourable condition because it was a condition for the client to pay accommodation, taxes, etc.

"Congratulations," the receptionist grinned as she offered Ray's orb.

"Master Ray has been promoted to the fifth level. Keep up the good work."

(Grade five... both adventurers and mercenaries could be in grade five. Now you can treat me as one person. On the numbers, it lined up with Ash. This shouldn't be inferior. But I still don't know much. Try not to pull your legs......)

The request completion process for the Rays is over and Stella will be registered.

Since I have already registered with the Adventurer Guild, the registration itself ended immediately.

"Ash, do you think I should take it up to ninth grade?

"Right......" he says to Ray's question and starts thinking.

(Stella would be a goblin, but she would be an oak, but she can win for sure. If you get a chance to fight ahead, you don't have to push it up. But it might be a good idea to see how much movement you can make in action)

"... Stella won't have a problem with it, so you might want to put it up to ninth grade. I've made arrangements, but I'd like to see some moves in action."

"Well... if you're going to be able to do it soon, let's ask for it"

Ray confirmed to the receptionist whether it was possible to ”fight in action" to meet the conditions for promotion to the ninth grade. The receptionist goes to check with the branch manager.

Soon the receptionist came back.

"They say it's possible to prepare in about thirty minutes. The cost will be one hundred C (krona), are you sure you want to start getting ready soon?

Ray nods and pays a hundred C.

The receptionist starts the process, but suddenly looks up, remembering something.

"Are you sure you want to keep Stella's gear intact?

The only equipment Stella has is two daggers on her hips and a throwing sword over her belt, a shirt like regular horseback riding clothes and a boot on her trousers, which doesn't even look like she's wearing protective gear. For this reason, the receptionist has reluctantly confirmed.

(That said, you didn't care...... I think you'll be fine this time, but given what's ahead, you might want to gear up)

"I'll have you fight an oak or a goblin, but are you okay with that gear?

Stella nods cocklessly.

"It's okay. Please keep it up."

The receptionist also recalled Stella's level and resumed the process.

Using the wait time, Ray was consulting Ashley about Stella's gear.

"Right. I know it depends on Stella's hopes, but I think the clasps inside are pretty defensive."

"Clairvoyant? Are you wearing chainmail? I didn't realize."

"Stella, what you're wearing is a chain shirt, right?

"Yes, I bought it for my previous husband"

Ashley tells me to show it to you later and then turns back to Ray.

"It's basic to think about their gear. I've done a lot of match-ups. If you care about the sound, you'll notice. Always give them information about their weaknesses, strengths, and such…"

Ray listened to Ashley's sermon,

(I don't care if they say that. With that said, it sounds like I've heard a jarri...)

"Okay, Ash. We'll discuss Stella's gear later."

Ray, who felt Ashley's sermon was going to be prolonged, enters the curtain.

Ashley also reluctantly decided to finish the topic, adding only that "it's important".
