Trinitas Mundus

Episode XIX: Mercenary Hamish Markat

Hamish, who leaves the reception room, takes Ashley and enters his own office in slow stride.

Entering the room, when we're alone, Hamish groans bossly, "Ash, you're sorry about earlier," he said.

You changed your mind with that one word, and I smiled and started listening to her.

"You've come home a lot, Ash. Did you find anything on the journey? Well, I think I found a funny guy."

Ashley still doesn't seem to be able to relieve the tension, and he answers slowly, with a slightly stiff face.

"The journey... until I met Ray, all I said was that I could be alone... not since I met Ray..."

Ashley mumbled about how to talk. Hamish can't stand that silence and gets stuck in the front.

"What about him? Are we gonna be together? Will you stay here?

"Ray and I... we want to be together... but..."

After spinning her words with a face like she had in mind, she raises her face and declares clearly.

"... but I'm not going to be here forever"

Hamish drops his shoulder on the words, but quickly regains his mind and waits for her words.

Ashley talks about what happened after she met Ray, and how she has no memory of Ray and wants to travel the world, and how she wants to make Stella look human by chance.

Stand up one last time and bow your head.

"We have expressed our concern to the Commander of the regiment. I was tired of living as a mercenary, and that too, as Hamish Markat's daughter. But now that I've got someone I want to protect, I think I know just a little bit how the captain feels. From now on, I feel like I could be named Hamish Markat's daughter with dignity."

"Right...... ok"

Hamish squeaks so.

Silence comes between them.

"I guess it's not even a quick journey. Something about that stellar. I just want you guys here."

Hamish had a complex face with a lonely look and a slightly happier look.

To Ashley, I somehow felt that, although I didn't know what that expression meant, something like the obsession that was between them disappeared.

And her tensions, too, slowly eased.

Hamish felt that his daughter's tension was coming apart. But I couldn't honestly hug him and ran off to another topic.

"I liked that guy Ray. No, I don't know yet. But at least admit I have the power to just be beside you."

"Captain... Father..."

Hamish, known as "Father” for a few years, is about to break up. Forced to squeeze his face,

"But from what I've heard about you, he doesn't seem to understand much of the common sense of the world. You should get used to it here. If he likes it here, that's fine."

She smiled a little,

"Yes...... I'll tell Ray that later"

Hamish, to the figure of his daughter,

(You've grown up a little too, Ash. No, should I say I'm a grown woman? It's complicated as a father, but at least it's a hundred times better than just a sisterhood like before...... I don't want to see Ash grieve. What should I do as a father? I always think at times like this. Mother, I wondered how good it would have been if Abby had lived...)

When the two talk is over and they join the Rays, Hamish stands in front of Stella.

"It's Hamish. Stella, I hear."

Stella stares straight at Hamish and replies, "Yes, it's Stella".

"I hear you're protecting Ray and Ashley. Keep it coming."

Stella was nodding back in silence as Hamish lowered her head gently.

(Isn't this man dangerous anymore? He asked me to talk to him about the Rays. Is that really the case, I don't know......)

As Hamish and Ashley sit down, Ray realizes that her expression has changed slightly. There was a soft grin on her face and he wondered if the change was a good sign.

(In the meantime, can I see that the runaway thing has settled? Ash's expression is softer than it was earlier... and Hamish seems to have plenty of room, compared to when we arrived...)

He was blurry, watching the two of them, but was abruptly spoken to by Hamish, a little surprised by his opulent voice.

"Ray, Stella, what are you going to do now? Ash told me you wanted to study mercenary work in the Mercenary Corps."

"Yes, me and Stella have just signed up as mercenaries, and Stella in particular has never worked"

"Okay. Ash told me to treat you as a” temporary hire, "okay?

"Yes, I will keep my orders and duties properly. But I haven't decided whether to stay here forever."

Hamish nods at Ray, then turns to Stella.

"That's fine with you too."

Stella nods as she stares Hamish in the eye, saying yes.

Hamish looked at Alberic, Valeria, and said, "How far have you heard about Stella?," he asked, while Alberic nicked,

"I heard you're from Lukes, and you're part of the Rumor Beast Squad."

"Well... this is the only place we both talk about this. Stella is a daughter in the country who learned a little unusual swordsmanship. Not more or less. So let me through."

When Alberic and Valeria nod,

"Valeria, in your fifth squad, keep the three of us, including Ash"

"Is that okay? I thought it was something you could put in the regiment."

"Oh, well, I guess Ray and Stella (these guys) joined the regular mercenary corps. So don't treat me special."

Ray wondered why the Fifth Squad was.

(On the mouth now, I wonder if it was directly from the captain before. If you're well within Mr. Hamish's sight, sure don't stress yourself out. But how come you're number five this time?

"Was Ash under the direct command of the captain? Why is that Squad Five?

"Valeria wouldn't spoil Ash better than the other captains. And Valeria knows who Stella is."

Ray nods so much.

(You seem kinder than Mr. Gareth or Mr. Elias, and most importantly, you feel a little lucky to have a beautiful captain down)

You heard Ray's heart, Alberic laughing, talking to Ray.

"Ray, Valeria seems nice, so don't you think she's lucky or something? Heh, that's sweet. Actually, Squad Five is the toughest. This girl, Ko, has a sword that changes people."

"Oh, really? It doesn't look that way..."

"Brother Al! Don't be weird. Ray, you're freaking out. It's okay, I'll be nice (...) to guide you. Hehe."

To him, that Valerian smile only seemed like a beast who had found his prey.

"Sister Val's training is demanding. Regiment... more than Father's training."

Ashley is speaking in a rare and mild tone.

(Oh, really... but now I called you "Father” about Mr. Hamish. I knew there was a change of heart)

Hamish laughed, but watched the interaction.

(Ash changed. Has this year's experience changed, or is it because of this guy... Whatever, it's good to have a smile back like it used to...)

There has been bickering for a while, but I hear a knock through the door, and the guard peeks inside with a snack and tells the visitor.

"Master Selzam, the Alliance Master, is visible. I said I canceled all my appointments today..."

On the way our guard is talking, all of a sudden, the door opens.

"Hamish! It's nice to cancel your meeting with the Alliance Master, Noh!

A big man with a bronze voice, a big scratch on his face with fifty lashes, a man like the head of a bandit, laughing, yelling.

And I found Ashley,

"Ashley, I heard you! You brought a man home! I want you to introduce him to Non!

"Mr. Duke Little Father..."

"Duke, you have a voice all the time. Well, sit down. My son-in-law will freak out."

(What son-in-law... does that happen? But this guy's a presence, too. Mr. Cutler and Mr. Solow from Morton had a presence too, but they're wrong digits... Ash grew up among these people, right? That shouldn't work for some things)

"So, when what? What about your son-in-law?

Hamish refers to Ray with his chin "there".

Duke's reluctant gaze pours on Ray. And then he goes, "Oh, my God, this guy's” face.

"You're lying, aren't you? This is the guy... I don't suppose he's in charge... is this really the guy who made you admit to losing, Hamish?

(It's a normal reaction, this is it. If you listen to Mr. Hamish admit to losing, you'll know what kind of awesome warrior challenged you. That's who I am, so I'd be surprised. But after this, does this go on forever...)

"It's not impossible for Duke to say that either. I insulted you at first, too. This guy's strong there even if he lets you use a spear. Right, I guess not many of our young guys can beat this guy. But that's not how awesome he is."

(I'm losing my temper... Mr. Hamish, please stop saying any more...)

Ray was in his heart desperately praying that this topic would come to an end. But his prayers are also empty, and Hamish's story continues.

"This guy is a rare magician. I couldn't move a step. There's a distance, but he made me think," I don't want to interact with this guy. "

Duke loses his word to Hamish's words praising Ray proudly.

"Hey, I didn't know you were going to say that to Hamish... I'm going to ask you again, you're not in charge of Nong."

Seriously, to Duke's gaze, Ray is shifting his gaze to the table and getting smaller.

Duke sees what it looks like and can't help but think that he's still being fooled.

(Are you sure? It's just a young one, it just looks like some nobleman or knight's classy little brat, too. That's what magically made Hamish admit to losing... but this guy's a bit of a problem. You have to stab the nail......)

"You said Ray or something, Nong is Duke Selzam. I'm an Alliance Master."

Ray gets up in a hurry, bows his head deeply, and introduces himself.

"I'm Ray Arklight. Thank you very much."

"Ray, I hear you beat Hamish, but what do you think of that?

Duke's tone had changed from a rough, unreliable tone to a pitiful bureaucratic one.

"I don't think I beat Mr. Hamish. That's what I told Mr. Hamish earlier...... in my presence earlier, I couldn't keep up with Mr. Hamish's movements at all. Instead of winning, I couldn't even think of a way to reward you with one arrow."

(You don't seem to be growing. And for the guy who made Hamish admit to losing, his hips are low. I'm not sure if he's humble or confident)

"Right. You, do you understand how Hamish is seen in this Fonce, no, this kingdom?

"How is Mr. Hamish being seen?... Not the strongest warrior in Lax?

"That's right. Hamish is the best mercenary in the kingdom. That's an undefeated mercenary leader, too. This bastard is indifferent to this sort of thing, but this guy's fame is also the fame of the mercenaries of Fonce. So far, don't know what Non wants to say."

(Mr. Hamish is the most awesome mercenary in Lax. The point is Fonce's mercenary pride. Does that mean the whole Fonce mercenary could be insulted if he loses a young man like me?

"Eh, does Mr. Hamish mean the whole mercenary of Fonce might be insulted when rumored to be the symbol of a mercenary of Fonce, whose symbol lost to a young man like me?

"That's right. So the result of today's battle is that Hamish let Ashley's son-in-law have flowers, hit a play to make the Marcut Mercenaries (Red Arms) accept, that's what needs to be decided. Ray, are you dissatisfied?

"Yes, no, not at all. It would be better for me."

Duke looks at Hamish like he's staring at him, then gives up and puts a bullet in his face.

"Hamish, you always say. You're not a mercenary like the old days. Give me a break over there."

Hamish will have a flashy look at the words.

"Duke, I lost. If this guy unleashes magic with the intention of killing me, maybe, he won't live. This guy's strength is real. Still can't do it?"

"I will admit that you have prospects for this son-in-law. But only in this mansion did you admit to losing. If they're here, there's nothing to talk about outside."

Unconvinced Hamish tries to eat and hang even more, but Alberic slaps him on the shoulder,

"Duke's right. Okay, if Hamish is convinced. Nothing. You don't have to tell the others to walk."

"Yeah, okay, okay. You really stink."

Hamish will have an unfaithful look, but a spear in Alberic's words.

(Mr. Alberic also called out the Alliance Master. Still, he's an awesome guy to be able to shut Mr. Hamish up... maybe this guy is the best, awesome guy)

When Hamish sinked his anger, he suddenly changed the subject.

"Fair enough, by the way, Duke, I guess I'm going to keep drinking today, huh?

"Naturally! What do you think I'm here for?

Ray laughs bitterly at the words.

(Didn't you come here to force us to move on because the meeting is going to be cancelled? And this guy's behavior...)

The multiplication between Hamish and Duke continues.

(I don't even feel giddy. Well, we're serious about each other. Is it called a gymnasium? Maybe a little different, but this might be a good idea. But can Stella have fun in places like this?

Ray was thinking about her future as she watched Stella stare at the Hamish without expression.
