Trinitas Mundus

Episode XXIV: Anti-Magic Training

Stella learns behind her that a settlement has been reached in the battle between Ray and Valeria.

(Master Ray also lost. From behind, Captain Valeria should come... once, we should pull...)

Once she decides to distance herself, she attacks Dougal and pushes her way in.

Her twin swords struck Dougal from left to right, anticipating the moment his defense saturated, slipping across the side at once.

He looked back about ten meters and was reassembling his sword.

"Ray, yeah, you do it, you take the offense, then you take the distance. That's it, Stella! The mock fight is over!

Valeria tells Stella the end after talking to Ray.

Stella turns her gaze to Ashley and Ray, but she still can't figure it out.

When Ray realized about it, when he said, "Stella, it's over," he finally untied himself and ran to them.

Standing in front of the two, Stella bows her head deeply and is apologizing to both of them.

"I'm sorry. I couldn't help you."

Ray and Ashley looked at each other and after a bitter laugh,

"No, you did well. If you hadn't turned around, there would have been a settlement sooner."

"That's right. Stella moved, so the situation was in my favor. It's my fault I couldn't keep it alive."

Stella looks up to the two words.

(But I couldn't protect it. Certainly unintentional training. But... we need to be stronger...)

"Gathering! If you can't move because of an injury, put your hands up!

Members are gathered who were mock warfare on Valeria's voice. Though some were holding back their arms, none suffered major injuries.

"It's a reflection now! Ash, Norma. You are responsible for the loss. You know that."

The two nod silently.

"Norma, you got lost when Dougal went down. The stray crumbled the front. Evidence that I hadn't thought of responding beforehand. Things change all the time on the battlefield. I would always tell you to always think about your next choice! You got something to say?

(Are you telling me towards me? You did fight without thinking...)

Ray was blurry thinking about that, but Norma's "No! Returns to me with a shout."

Valeria nodded, standing a few cm in front of Ashley. Keep your face close,

"Ash, what was that earlier? I didn't expect you to take off your sword just because you took a few of my attacks. What have you been up to all year? You just had a flirt with a guy, didn't you have a dull arm? You got something to say?

"There isn't. This loss is my lack of strength. If I could hold the captain in that phase for another minute, I would have won... it's my responsibility"

(Mr. Valeria even saw Norma's movements in that situation. Awesome... but Valeria is like a ghost sergeant in a movie or something...)

Valeria stood in front of him as Ray thought about it.

"Ray, I'm not asking you to work together all of a sudden. But look around a little bit more. If you look around, you'll know how to move."

He didn't know how to answer and all he could do was snort.

Valeria laughed bitterly that she had no choice.

"There's too much difference between when you're alone and when you team up."

And to Stella next to Ray, Valeria speaks up.

"Your movements stood out the most. But you can't work with us if you can't listen to orders other than Ray and Ash. Think about it."

Stella stared into her eyes and said nothing.

Like Valeria said, there's nothing she can do. After shaking her neck to the side,

"Ray, hang the healing magic on the injured! Ash, Norma! You guys are a five-on-one mock fight! Stella, you can use your bow. Dougal, check this guy's bow arm! Hal! You're mixed up with the second squad, training shields. I don't want you to blow your shield with a single blow, like you just did! All right, here we go!

Valeria's decree hangs and begins to move simultaneously.

While Ray treated the injured,

(This much intense training will make you stronger if you do it every day. I have to work hard too...)

There were only three injured people and the treatment was soon over.

"Captain, I'm done treating the injured, but after this, what?

Valeria thought for a moment and said, "Is the magic still okay?" I ask.

"Are you still okay?

"I want to do some anti-magic training for our crew. Can you use reduced magic, magic that even if it hits you, will only hurt you?

"... a little practice and I think you can use it... what kind of magic would you like?

"Right. There will be an arrow of light I used for the captain of the regiment. Anything as fast as that. You think you can do that?

(Less Damage, Faster Speed Magic... Reduce the Power of the Arrow of Light... No, the ball of water is safer...)

He begins to concentrate the power of the Spirit of Water on his left hand.

(Feels like compressing the shape so it doesn't break... Imagine a ball of baseball... Strike it out like a batting machine...)

A sphere of water forms before his left hand.

Where the diameter is about 10 cm, towards a single standing tree, it emits a sphere of its water.

The water sphere flies like a bean without breaking its shape.

And the moment it hit, the standing tree was shaking the branches wide.

The speed flew faster than he thought and closer to the arrow of light.

(That's pretty fast. I've never been to a batting center, so I don't know how fast, but I think it went as fast as an arrow of light. If it feels like it hit a tree, it doesn't seem to have any damage, and it consumes less magic, so it looks like it could shoot quite a bit. I think I can bend it by the rules of the changing sphere, and I have about two seconds to build up my strength, so I think I can shoot it out in a way that's almost close to a series of shots)

Valeria had seen the magic of Ray's water and had lost her words.

(I was surprised even in my presence with the captain yesterday, but what's the magic now? The attribute of water is that there is little attack magic except for the high ice system... who is this kid really?

"Captain, I think I can shoot a hundred or so shots, if the magic of the moment so warrants. Maybe you can change the track. If you're a fast shot, you can have about one shot every two or three seconds. By the way, what is the purpose of this training?

Valeria returns to me in his words,

"Right. For today, you don't have to change the track...... oh, that's the purpose...... a while ago, I fought a demonic magician, but at that time I struggled quite a bit. Because bows and magic subtly respond differently. There are no attacking magicians in the Mercenary Corps (of which). So even if I wanted to train, I couldn't, I was in trouble."

"Copy that. My role is to make people who don't have a means of ranged attack understand magical habits."

"Yes... by the way, who did you learn that magic from?

"What? Now that I've thought about it... none of them have the offense power, it's speedy magic, so I never had a place to normally use it. Is that weird?

Valeria thinks, "Yes, no, well," but soon, she calls two mercenaries.

"Irene, Troy! Get over here!

Before her, human men and women in their early twenties ran.

"I'm going to conduct anti-magic training now. There shouldn't be any damage to Ray's magic if it hits him. So, move it out of your mind!

A small female mercenary with a two-handed sword called Eileen raises her hand.

When asked what Valeria was,

"Should the purpose be to approach the sorcerer and consider him annihilated?

"That's right. Scratch Ray's magic and get close. I'm not putting an avant-garde on before this guy today. If you can get to Ray, that's fine."

Irene nodded, beginning to work out an operation with a mercenary a little younger than her equipped with a one-handed sword and a round shield called Troy.

The two nodded, going about thirty meters away, "" I'm ready! "" I yell.

Valeria nodded and after checking with Ray as well, she said, "Here we go!" and shouts the signal of initiation.

The two mercenaries run out to split left and right.

(Thought it would come...)

Ray unleashes the magic of a water polo toward Irene, who runs to the right from him.

The first bullet was taken off a lot to shoot at the running target without tracking him.

(It's hard to hit a running goal. Light arrows that can be tracked are useful after all. Well, what's the matter? The other one is approaching, aim forward and stop your leg...)

When she releases it to the front of Irene, who runs at full speed, she is surprised by the water polo that flies in front of her, stopping her feet unintentionally. Ray didn't miss that chance and immediately released his next bullet.

A water polo that flies at a fierce speed hits Irene's foot when she stops, and she screams and falls.

(Is that it? It shouldn't hurt that much? Are you all right?

He took more reactions than he thought, and Ray panicked, but he saw Troy approaching from the other side.

(About 10m... I can only shoot two shots. Aiming at a foot that's hard to take with a shield...)

Ray takes aim at Troy's foot as he approaches him with his shield. Did he also anticipate that by stepping sideways, he avoided that blow and came closer.

(That's awkward. Can you make it!)

Allow approaching just a few meters away and rush to release the water polo.

Troy got a water polo in his belly, not long before he avoided it, even while he was receiving it with his shield, woo! He fell down, raising his voice.

"Are you all right? It's not supposed to be that powerful..."

"I'm fine. It doesn't hurt, but it's magic. But there's just a shock. But then, I was almost there. Be sure to…"

"All right, it's over for now. Irene, don't stand up."

As Eileen approaches, Valeria starts talking.

"Ray, what did you think of the current approach? Let me hear your opinion as a magician."

"Is that the magician's opinion... I'm not a pure magician, so maybe it's a weird opinion, okay?

As Valeria nodded, he began to talk about his thoughts.

"I think it's a good idea to run sideways. Because it's hard to hit someone who runs sideways. But when the movement is monotonous, you can predict, and when you're shot in front of you and you stop on your feet, you're a good duck."

"But wouldn't it be easier to aim if you didn't run as hard as you could?

"No, it's harder to aim for a sudden change of course or something."

Irene roars, thinking.

Ray turned toward Troy,

"If you're approaching me straight away, I can't take it off. If you don't get the feint with your shield and move to the zigzag, you can target it with the right timing."

"Right... just like a bow..."

"Maybe it's worse than a bow. The bow can see the movement that releases the string, but magic is hard to tell when it will fly."

Valeria listened to Ray,

(This kid is really funny. I look closely, and I make precise points. Well, I don't see so many magicians releasing magic as calmly as he does...)

"All right, we'll do it again! I'm next."

Valeria and Ray's training begins.

She weaves the feint Ray was talking about, approaching him, but a few meters away, she gets a water polo under her knees.

"That's hard. Especially at the end. What do you think we should do?

"I think you should throw something at me. Because magic requires concentration."

"I'm not very good at throwing swords."

"I think stone, stick or whatever. If something flies in front of you when you're focused, you'll lose focus."

Valeria nodded so much,

"Starting tomorrow, let everyone get this training. Does the magic restoration look okay to you?

"Sleep one night and you'll be fine. Even if you use it just before the magic runs out, you can handle it overnight."

He then trained the same as Norma, Ashley and Stella, and only Stella succeeded in doing all the magic.

There was a group watching the training landscape.
