Trinitas Mundus

Episode 46: The Effect of Spells

Ray asked the court magician Annakes one after the other about the theory of magic, the relationship between the need for spells and power, and compound magic.

Annekis answers his questions carefully each time.

"… magic draws its power by giving the spirits of the eight attributes - the” magic ”that forms the backbone of one's own life - to the beings that dwell on the power of God. To do this, we must make the Spirit understand that, a different being from ours… the spell is what helps the Spirit understand. In thousands of years of history, a number of magicians have experimented and erroneously wondered if there is the most efficient way to communicate…"

In his explanation, magic is a technique that transforms the power of the Spirit of the eight attributes into the form desired by the operator, giving the Spirit a magic power that is a form of life force as a price.

Spells are knitted over time as a tool for efficiently communicating images to the Spirit, and with spells, highly effective magic can be exercised with relatively little magic. But even in the absence of a spell, if you have a high affinity with the Spirit and the image of the surgery can be clearly conveyed, the spell is unnecessary, and elf mages sometimes use magic without chanting.

The most common composite magic that combines two or more attributes is healing magic. Other than that, it cannot be taught specifically because it belongs to the secret. As a general theory, the composite magic of anti-attributes is very advanced, on the contrary, the adjacent attributes - water and trees, light and fire, for example - have a high affinity and are easy to create composite magic.

The magic that a man possesses is ordained at birth, with little increase. However, since the age of about five, there have been reports of studies that if we continue to use magic to the limit every day, the amount of magic increased as we grew.

In order to be able to use magic, it is necessary to start training at the latest at the age of ten. There are very few examples that can now be used in those that have started training since then.

Where magic training can take place are the Tower of Mages and, near here, the School of Magic in the academic city of Doctus.

(For once, it's not very different from my memory. Let's hear the magician's level)

"Thank you. One more thing I'd like you to tell me, do magicians have anything to say about" levels ”like swordsmiths and archers?

Anaekis grinned and laughed,

"Of course there is. But it doesn't show up in mercenary or adventurer orbs. It doesn't show up outside the Orb of the Mage Guild."

"Really... in that case, would the occupational level be” mage ”?

"Right. The Orb of the Mage Guild displays a level for each attribute, with its highest level, labeled" Mage Level ”. But magicians with higher levels, such as swordsmanship, become professions such as magic swordsman. I'm not specialized in this, so I don't know why."

Ray heard the explanation and was finally convinced.

(You don't see the level of witchcraft because it's not the Orb of the Mage Guild...)

"How do I get into the Mage Guild?

"The Mage Guild is a mutually supportive organization of researchers who conduct magical research. So you need to train at the Tower of Mages where you do your research or enroll in the School of Magic in Doctus. Later, though, it is possible with the recommendation of a high-ranking mage. Is Lord Arklight considering joining the Sorcerer's Alliance?

"No, I've never been in the Mage Guild, so I'm just interested"

(Will you be solicited? I don't know what my strength is, so don't you have it? But I want to know my magic level...... I don't know what I can do about it......)

Annekis calls out to Ray to think about it.

"No more questions?

Return to me with that voice and confirm that you have heard everything you want to hear.

(No questions asked. And then if you can demonstrate...)

"Dear Annekis, thank you. No more questions."

And correct his inability to stay,

"It's a thick favor, but I'd like to show you the magic of the sorcerer if I can. Can't you?"

Annekis does not show any disgusting faces and snorts with a smile.

"I don't mind. There is a place in the basement where you can use magic. Let's go there. So, what kind of magic would you like to see?

Ray thought a little and asked to see the wind attribute magic he had yet to see.

"Okay. I can use the wind attribute. Then let's go down to the basement."

When Ray nodded, Anaekis accompanied the Rays down to the basement of the tower.

Underneath the magician's tower there was a space like a shooting training ground, where young magicians practiced their magic.

(Does being targeted mean a practice field for attack magic? You have a couple of magician eggs about fifteen years old... short cloak-like robes and little canes, sounds like a magic school coming out of a famous novel... oops it's a ball of flame. You're weak...... the arrow of light is next. Oh, it's late. Anyone can avoid that speed......)

He had seen the magic unleashed by the young magicians and was smiling, but understanding how his magic, which remained largely unchanged, was out of standard.

(I guess I'm not saying right after the training starts. Just now, these kids should be training for over five years, too. And yet it's that much strength? Then is it natural to be surprised to see my magic... Mr. Annekis is a court magician. That means you're one of the leading magicians in the kingdom. I wonder how much magic you'll show me)

As Annakes enters the practice field, all the young magicians bow their heads and give way to the place.

"I can use three attributes: fire, light and wind. Let me first show you the wind attack magic, the" whirlwind blade ”. Because of the wind attribute, it may be a little hard to look at, but please take a good look."

Annakes begins casting a spell with a wand about seventy cm long in his right hand with a large demonic crystal stone attached to the tip.

"It is the god of the wind (Wentus) who brings many winds. Tear away the wind, give me the blade of the Spirit... I give you the power of my life... tear down my enemies! Whirlwind Blade!"

Ray could see the power of the Spirit gradually gathering together on the sceptre of the right hand of Annekis.

Then, after casting a spell for about twenty seconds, the air sways and something in the shape of a transparent three-day moon slowly begins to turn around, flying off its wand, along with the words of the activation of the anequis.

The transparent three-day moon flies as it rotates like a boomerang, hitting the target tree in a targeted way. The target, along with the hard sound of saying pakin, was broken into two parts.

The young magicians could see the rarely seen moves of court magicians, eyes open with emotion.

Ray is forced to make a surprised face, but inside he was thinking of something else.

(That's a long... spell. It takes about twenty seconds. And considering you chant it yourself, that's a little embarrassing...... but I wonder if the magical image now is okay with kamaitachi. Create a vacuum by making barometric pressure differences above and below the blade. And either spin it around and move it... and you don't seem efficient. If you're going to make a vacuum blade, I think it would be more efficient to make a vortex and make a continuous barometric difference instead of a three-day moon shape...)

Noticing that Annekis was staring at him, he hastily said, "Shh, it's amazing. Thank you," he bows his head.

(Surprisingly, I guess I couldn't seem to say anything. I'd also like to see some arrows of light later)

"Dear Annekis, please. At last, can you show me the arrows of light?

"I don't mind. But isn't Lord Archrite also available?

"I would love to see the magic of a court magician."

Did Anaekis convince you, nod small, and start casting spells?

"God of light (Lucidus), who commands all the light of the world. Consolidate the holy power of your family, the Spirit of Light, and give me the glowing arrow. I will not give my life to you at that price. Pierce my enemies! Shining Arrow!"

A dazzling arrow of light pops out of the tip of the wand of Annakes.

Speed is about the same as a normal arrow, but it has a length of nearly a metre and is closer to a spear than an arrow.

It pierces the center of the target tree about twenty meters away, and in about two seconds the arrow disappears, but the target is smoking.

(The spell is long, but the power is considerable. Nevertheless, the official name for a light arrow is a light arrow (Shining Arrow). I've never known...)

Thank you for the anequis, when you step back to pull it off,

"I would also like to show you the magic of Lord Arklight. Be sure to give me the arrow of light."

Ray looks at Hamish, but he shakes his neck sideways and says, "Hands off” with his eyes.

"Okay. Please don't laugh because it's my style."

After I said that with a smile on my face,

(Now, as for losing power, we have to make the activation time longer. The spell should properly fold what I just heard, bump and whine...)

"God of Light." Give me a glowing arrow of spirits. I will not give you my magic. Activate! "

He slowly gathers the power of the Spirit by hanging about five times his usual time, about ten seconds.

When Ray finished casting the spell, a spear-like arrow of light appeared on his left hand, about a meter long and about five cm thick.

He himself was surprised by its magnitude, oblivious and oblivious to dampening momentum. And it signaled activation with the flow as it was, emitting its powerful arrows of light in a targeted manner.

The arrows seemed to be faster and more powerful than those of Anekis, and with the hits, they were not only piercing the target, but blowing up every foundation.

(Shit. Fine, I was going to curb the magic. It took me a while, but the amount of magic is like half the usual. Is this also the effect of the spell...... screwed up......)

Annekis and the young apprentices don't have much to be surprised by.

When Ray saw Hamish, his mouth was moving, “You idiot."

(The magic now...... even though I'm not full force, it's so powerful that I can't compare. More than that, with that short chant......)

After about ten seconds, Anekis returned to me,

"Lord Arklight, yes, that's definitely the arrow of glow now... so much power in that short chant..."

"I tried to show you a little bit of a good place, because I used Dear Annekis' spell and put all the magic I could think of...... I'm new to it too. Such a powerful arrow of light. That's the spell of a court magician."

(You're not an arrow of light already. It's a spear of light. I wonder if I can somehow mislead you......)

Annekis still looked relieved but was gradually aroused by curiosity.

"Lord Markut, I wonder if you intend to leave Lord Arklight with me. If he's as talented as he is, I'll make him the best magician in the country."

Hamish has trouble responding and stares at Ray.

(Stupid bastard. I would have signaled to give it a break... what do we do?

Ray gets distracted by Hamish's pressure and gets pale. And to squeeze it out,

"Can I think about it? I seem to have used too much magic and am a little tired"

Annakes also noticed Ray's pale complexion,

"Right. Looks a little pale. Can I rest in my room? Or will you go back to your home? If you want to go back, I'll get you a carriage."

(Looks like they totally liked it. Didn't you delude me... take the time to give up...)

"It's okay. Captain, didn't you have business at the Knights headquarters after this?

Hamish is told the story, panicked a little, but soon we'll be talking together.

"Well, you did. Lord Annekis, I'm sorry I said I couldn't do this when I was busy today. Then let us pull it off here. Ray, let's go."

The two followed the practice field so as to escape and left the magician's tower.

I just came near Knights headquarters, and Hamish's thunder falls.

"You idiot! I would have given you a signal!

Ray bows his head deeply and apologizes to Hamish.

"I'm sorry. But I did it less than usual. Maybe it's the effect of the spell. It's true. I was going to do what I did when I stabbed him."

Hamish is reluctantly convinced by Ray's desperate excuse,

"It could be a hassle. It would be nice if it could be part of the magicians' research."

To Hamish's ominous words, Ray was at war.

After Hamish and the others left, Annekis was giving the young magician eggs a pause.

"What you just saw should not be taken out of your mouth. You got it."

All in one of his words, "" Yes! Instructor Master! "" He joins his voice.

He was thinking about a young man named Ray Arklight as he climbed up the stairs.

(A delicacy that can use so much magic, even at that young age. Too sparingly to be a mercenary. If he were the son-in-law of Lord Markat's daughter, he would eventually lead the mercenary corps. If anything, it would be a loss to our magicians in Lax...)

He climbed the tower early enough to talk to his own boss, the court magic master.
