Trinitas Mundus

Episode VII: Adventurer's Guild

The Rays, with the merchants, entered the city of Periclitle from the North Gate.

The city is built like a wooden building, all of which looks like a chamber of commerce building, with merchants walking in and out.

The northern district of Periclitle had become a commercial district, and the escorts broke up with the merchants in front of a single chamber of commerce.

One word of gratitude after another is hung from the merchants and the men of God. The three Rays in particular had many voices wanting to make exclusive contracts.

The Rays politely declined the invitation and headed to the mercenary guild with Hank Barrows, the leader of the escort who received proof of completion from the merchants.

Reporting the completion of the request in the Mercenary Guild and receiving the reward, Rays' reward was approximately 100C per person for five days' worth of 250C (Krona) and seven rounds of battle rewards of 140C, plus the redemption of the recoverable Demon Crystal Stone, for a total of approximately 500C, including days off on the way.

(500C, 500,000 yen? If you think it's only five days, it's a good amount of money, but I don't know if it's proportionate considering you fought all those enemies. Well, if it weren't for us, we'd probably be wiped out, and I should think it's a help...)

When I received my reward, Hank was waiting for them.

"It really helped this time. Let me thank you again."

He bows his head deeply to the three of them. And I apologize for the low reward.

"I'm so sorry I left it up to you guys to pay so little"

When Ashley says, "Never mind," he finally smiles too.

"By the way, what are you going to do now? If you don't have plans, why don't you hang out with me now? I'm keeping the story of this raid as an Adventurer's Guild."

Ashley sends her gaze to Ray and Stella, saying "I understand" and acknowledging.

"There is. I'd rather have a member of the Mercenary Corps (Red Arms) talk to me than me."

The four headed to Adventurer Alliance headquarters in the heart of the city.

As you head southwards through the city from the northern district where the mercenary guild is located, the figure of the person on the road changes from a merchant to an adventurous outfit.

(You have more lightweight protective gear than mercenaries. Sometimes, some people are heavily equipped, but it feels like me and Ash are floating pretty well)

The Adventurer is equipped with a backpack of used leather armor, a sword, a spear, a bow, and a cloak that looks sturdy on his shoulder. And I'm walking in a group of several people.

(Are we having a party? A swordsman, a magician, a archer? That sounds like a magician... I hardly saw a magician as another city, but that's just the city of adventurers...)

Ray looks around the city for the first time. Few metal armors, like Ray and Ashley, were completely floating, especially Ray's figure wrapped around silver metal armor.

Ashley said, "Ray! Don't be too keen," but Hank looked interesting to see how it was going.

(That's an awesome gap. That sober face you show during the battle and the childlike face of your current intrigue. When you look at me like this, you don't feel confident that it's that “white military master"...)

The Adventurer's Guild's general headquarters is rare in this city with many wooden buildings, a splendid three-story stone building, with two guards standing in front of splendid doors with both openings, wearing plate armor.

Hank shows the guard the orb, he usually goes inside.

Ray shows the orb in the same way, but he was stared at by the guillotine and accidentally interpreted it.

(Don't remind me of any of Lax's royal palace guards. For once, it's a private establishment, isn't it?... No, you don't. You said Ash was an administration. This is what the bureau would do...)

Once inside, it was a wide hall with high ceilings that smashed through the second floor. Unlike the Adventurer Guild I've seen so far, there was no counter-shaped reception, and there were several places like the bureau or the information desk in the hospital.

Hank was on his way to one of them, explaining the circumstances.

Ray looks inside the guild to the extent that Ashley won't scold him.

(You don't look like much of an adventurer. Sure, we talked about doing something for requests in branches east and west, so I guess we'll be doing another job here...)

At the end of Hank's explanation, he is guided to the back.

He proceeded down the corridor, lined with many doors, and was seated at a long su to wait here.

The figure of those who waited in the same way varied from those dressed like merchants, to samurai wrapped in full body armor like knights, to officials with many documents.

After waiting long enough, Hank's name is called and guided to one room.

He tells me to give him the weapon at the entrance to the room, and Stella's about to refuse.

"Because it's okay," Ray says, passing his own spear and long sword to the official to set an example.

"The spear is heavy, so be careful."

Officials in their early thirties tilt their necks at Ray's words, but at the moment they are given it, they are about to fall by its weight.

"What is it! This weight!

An official voice echoes within a quiet guild. The official looked like a bum and blushed.

Ray once again said to Stella, "It's okay because I have my magic. So," he whispered, finally handing the staff two swords on his hips and a throwing sword.

Inside the room, a man of good width in his mid-forties waited.

"It's Lloyd from Intelligence. So this time you brought information on the demons on Fonce Street?

Lloyd urges Hank to explain, and Hank talks about the events of the last four days.

"This time I managed to be accompanied by a veteran of the Mercenary Corps here (Red Arms), but it's a pretty bad situation. Especially around Kenney, there was a third grade demon."

Lloyd glanced at the Ashleys,

"Veteran? Apparently that's the gear, but you're pretty young for it. Are you sure it's that (...) Red Arms?

Ashley stiffens her expression for a moment in a grumpy manner to the words. Ray noticed that, he spoke to Lloyd.

"Believe it or not, we're all three above level forty. If you could check the orb of the mercenary guild, you'd understand?

Ray doesn't show the look of indignation, but he drops the tone of his voice and stares at Lloyd with an emotionless eye.

Gently bow your head as if you lost that gaze pressure or Lloyd makes an apology.

"No, let's trust you about that. There's been a lot of" Yamato "lately."

(Has the phony begun to come out? Using this armor (Van Place) as standard could discredit the Mercenaries. Well, as soon as I check the orb of the mercenary guild, I'll know...)

Ray didn't even know at first, but the Mercenary Guild orb can show the organization he belongs to. Before leaving Fonce, he registered to be a member of the Mercenary Corps of Markat, and if you look at the orb, you can confirm his affiliation.

Did Ray's pressure work, and Lloyd's attitude gets slightly softer. Ashley changed the explanation along the way, and Lloyd's expression gradually darkened.

"Is it getting that bad? It's wider than we know."

"Could you please extend the scope of the investigation and crusade to the area around Cardobec? And please consider deploying personnel to protect Kenney."

Lloyd looks a little troubled by Ray's words.

"For once, I'll make an offer to that effect, but it may be harsh. Aquila's investigation and crusade around Periclitle are all over the place."

Still, they managed to talk upstairs, so they followed the Alliance's headquarters.

"Have you decided where to stay, by the way?

When Ashley replied that she intended to stay in an inn called "The Nest of the Arid Eagle," where she had stayed before, Hank went back to his friends after thanking them again.

Ray was hooked on the name of the inn called "Nest of the Rough Eagle”.

(Rough Eagle's Nest... I think I've heard of it. Where did you hear that?

Stella noticed something was wrong with him and said, "What has happened?" and give him a voice.

Ashley walking forward also noticed it and said, "What's up?" I've asked, "No, it's nothing," he smiles at both of us.

But in his mind, the word revolved around.

Walking south of Guild headquarters, he looks even more adventurous.

And on both sides of the road, there are more stores used by adventurers, such as weapons stores, armor stores, and tool stores.

Looking further behind the alley, there seems to be an inn or a liquor store, where you can hear the drunk men shouting.

Into the road with one bottle from the boulevard, Ashley stopped in front of a wooden three-story building.

"This is the Arid Eagle's Nest." Inn used by adventurers, but I've used it twice before. "

Ashley's story was that Hamish was an inn where he stayed several times during his solo years, and that he had stayed when he came to this city with him.

"I thought this was better than a mercenary inn."

Ashley's story was that the Inn used by adventurers here in Periclitle was of better quality.

(When there's a mercenary inn, he tells me to talk to him and he's not going to calm down, so it's certainly better this way. Plus, I'm going to work as an adventurer, so this one's going to be easier to get information on...)

When I open the entrance door, the sound of Bell's Karan Karan attached to the door sounds.

A well polished floor and a used wood counter greet them inside the inn.

An employee who noticed the sound, a woman about forty years old, came face to face from the counter as she wiped her hands with an apron.

And with a smile that people like, "Are you staying?" He asks.

"Three. I'd like three rooms for one."

Ashley said so, "Six C's with two meals per night. Horses are two C's a day," he said.

Due to the use of time in the guild, it was already nearly 6pm and the three of them were horrified that the room was vacant.

Take the horse to the stables and get a brief explanation.

"You can have dinner from about 4: 00 p.m. Morning starts about before dawn. If you have water, tell me as soon as possible. For once, there's a bathroom on the ground floor, so I can take a bath there."

I pick up the keys, put my stuff in the room, and then head right to the dining room.

The dining room was already quite busy and had an atmosphere like a tavern called Gayagaya.

I found an empty table in the back, and as soon as the three of us sat there, a young woman - a waitress of about mid teens - arrived.

"Oh, you're my first customer. My name is Nelly. Nice to meet you."

Nelly gives Nico a bright smile and then listens to the order.

He said the menu for dinner was set, and he was talking about asking to order alcohol.

"Alcohol is ale and beer, plus a glass of wine thirty e (ale) (= three hundred yen). It's a rare place, and some distilled liquor is made in southern villages."

Ray was surprised to hear there was distilled liquor.

(I have the technology to distill it. It wasn't in Fonce, was it? Or maybe I just don't know... well, if you drink poorly strong, you get hungover again, and you don't feel like drinking...)

When he was thinking about it, Ashley was blinding him and listening to Nelly talk about distilled liquor.

"Maybe it's distilled liquor from the village of Rasmore? The example“ Scotch "..."

(Scotch? When I say Scotch, wasn't it English whiskey? It's a name I took from Scotland, and it wasn't the name of how it was made...)

Nelly looked a little unexpected but was right back in the sales smile.

"Yeah, it's the real thing in the village of Rasmore. But you're young and you know it well."

Ashley's eyes shine even more.

"Maybe there's“ that ”too?

Nellie soon realized what she was talking about,

"Unfortunately, there's only three years of stuff here... one C for a cup, but what do we do?

Ashley asked for Scotch and Ray and Stella asked for Yale.

Soon the liquor and dishes are served, but before Ashley is served an amber liquor in a metal cup of about 100cc.

(I knew it was whiskey. There's whiskey in this world, too. And what is “that” anyway? Let's hear it later)

The food was voluminous with meat and fish. The quality of the bread was good and it was a satisfying meal.
