Trinitas Mundus

Episode 21: Rejection

For accomplishing the request, they all followed Randall's room at Alliance headquarters with a harsh atmosphere.

Upon coming to the headquarters lobby, Ashley handed each leader a certificate of completion. During this request, she deplored her lack of experience as the leader of the adventurer. I'm still not sure I was really right, especially about the decision to withdraw and how I behaved in the woods.

(If you're a mercenary squad leader class, that's all you should have thought about how to interpret the captain's orders. When you hang it all on your shoulder from one to ten like this one, it hurts how inexperienced you are. This time I was helped by Stella's information and Ray's decision. If I were alone, I wouldn't have been here alive......)

And the thought extended to other parties.

(My judgment has caused considerable damage to other party members. It will be a good study for me, but for them who will continue to be asked to do so, damage to their gear should hurt. If……)

She turned to the leaders,

"As for the demonic crystal stone of the defeated demon, but dispense it with a headrest. It should have been distributed according to its contribution, but not all Demonic Crystals could have been recovered. I'm sorry, but you have to decide on the distribution to the individual at each party."

Each leader of Boris, Aldo and Hazel rounds his eyes to the word.

And when Boris, in a representative way,

"You guys almost knocked him out this time. I want money, but I can't take it."

Aldo and Hazel nod at it too.

Ashley shook her neck to the side,

"No, we survived this time because we all had power. We are not the only ones. Right, Ray, Stella."

Ray and Stella nod. Boris tries to provoke him, but Ashley starts talking first.

"At my discretion, I have abandoned or caused to be damaged my equipment. We leave this city, but what remains here will need to be equipped, updated. I guess it would be a lot of money because I haven't been able to collect it all, but it adds up somewhat. Besides, it was a good study for me. I've never had the experience of commanding adventurers. Think of it as a thank you."

Hazel nods at it and bows his head to Boris and Aldo as he joins hands.

"Mr. Boris, Mr. Aldo. Let's have it. If it's about studying, I think we've learned better... but I'm sorry about our circumstance, but the fans are wearing out some kind of armor and it's not just the reward for this one, it's a complete deficit. Please."

Boris also remembers his party members,

"Right. We're going to need money to repair Frank and Ellis' armor, too. Shall I thank you here? Hey, Aldo."

Aldo laughed bitterly, "Right. Ashley, that would help," he says, bowing his head to Ashley.

As for the Demonic Crystal Stone, I decided to redeem it tomorrow morning at the West Branch of the Adventurer's Guild, and it broke up on the spot today.

Ray was worried about how to communicate his thoughts to Luna.

(All of a sudden, "The demons are after me. Mind you," you won't believe me, and first of all, I seem to hate you...)

Ashley was aware that he was worried about Luna.

(I won't put it in my mouth, but it would be about Luna. Ray's thoughts often hit me. I'm pretty sure this time around, but still no proof at all. I don't really care, but it's not something I should tell you. People's lives are at stake...)

"Ray, we're going to the Arid Eagle's Nest now. Luna's life may be at stake. I should tell you exactly what you think."

Ray is surprised by Ashley's words, but nods, "You sure are," he said.

Stella was unhappy with Ashley's behavior, but reluctantly decided to admit that if she left the scene without saying anything and Luna was caught or killed, there would be a scratch in Ray's heart.

When the three catch up with Hazel, who left earlier, they tell him to stay in the "Nest of the Rough Eagle”. And while walking, Ashley explains Ray's thoughts.

"That's when Ray figured out why we survived. There is no evidence, but Luna may be targeted..."

Hazel listens to Ashley and rounds her eyes.

"But you don't have proof. It could be a coincidence..."

"Oh, you're right. I think I'm worried too. But what if? Just in case, I want Luna to talk to me."

Hazel looks at the serious Ashley's faces and nods, "Okay."

(I find it rather dangerous that these people think so. Even in this investigation, what Ashley and Ray both say was mostly true. Then again... but I still can't believe it. I can't believe the Demons are after just human Luna...)

That night, Ray takes a meal with Hazel's party.

The harsh atmosphere covered the table as Ashley, Stella, Luna and Ryan barely spoke.

The meal is over and Luna tries to take a seat, but Hazel stops her.

"Ray wants to talk to you. It's about your safety."

Luna tilts her neck slightly and sits in the chair again.

Ray, worried about how to cut it out, said, "This time, why do you think you came home safe?" and cut it out.

She shook her head sideways and remained silent that she did not know the purpose of the story further. Ray doesn't mind that, he talks about the reasoning he told the Ashleys.

As the story progresses, Luna's complexion gradually gets worse. And when it came to the story of Thysek village being attacked, he banged the table with both hands and stood up.

"I just want to say that it was my fault my father and mother were murdered when the village was wiped out! Because I was there... that's what I'm trying to say!

Ray wanders to the sword screen.

"Chi, it's not. Just saying that maybe I can think of something like that... that it's never your fault..."

Ray manages to keep the conversation going, as he slips back into Luna's sword screen.

"... Anyway, there's a good chance you're being targeted. I could probably remember your name, and I think they found out about the characteristics of the party. So..."

"So what? You want me to get out of this party? And you want me to go to Doctus with you? I'm not kidding!

Luna stood up as she kicked her seat and went back to her room.

Ray doesn't know what to do, he's looking down.

Ryan stands up to go after Luna, but against Ray,

"I don't know what you mean, but I'll protect Luna!

That's what I left out, and I followed her.

Hazel bowed her head, "I'm sorry,"

"Corner, you told me... it's not Ryan, but he's our party member, so we'll figure it out"

"Ok...... but stay out of the city as long as you can. Then, if possible, I'd rather stay away from this city for the next two months or so..."

Stella gets angry at Luna's attitude and stares at Luna's back.

(Dear Ray, how troubled I think you are! I can never forgive that attitude. I didn't have an in-laws to teach. Yet this one is troubled, suffering... I can't believe you guys didn't try to figure it out, even though you should have tasted so bad in the woods that you weren't the ones you could do this to... but maybe it was good. Now I can leave this city without worries......)

Meanwhile, Luna, who took her seat, was also feeling fierce anger.

But the anger was not directed against Ray, but against himself and his destiny.

(The village was attacked because I was there... I'm not stupid either. I always wondered why the tiny village of Thysek was targeted by a large group of demons...)

Luna herself had not been informed, but she was not a child of a hunter in the village of Thysek.

A hunter, her raised father, helped a woman of weight who was falling in a forest near the village. The woman wore worn out clothes, but the fabric of the clothes was considered to be a fairly fine object and a noble born woman.

The hunter helps the woman, takes her straight home and intervenes.

And one woman's baby, Luna, was born.

Just around that time, a herd of oaks and orgs was confirmed around the village. A crusader was dispatched up to a thousand from Periclitle to exterminate the orcs and gain nothing.

Her mother married the hunter and tried to blend into the village.

When Luna is three years old, she realizes she has memories of her previous life.

My memory of being a sophomore in Japanese high school suddenly came back and I realized I was a reincarnator or possessor.

She then didn't even tell her parents about her memories of her previous life. Because in closed villages it was called devilish and could have been ostracized. In fact, her house was distant just because her mother said she was a runner.

She didn't think she was her real father because her appearance didn't resemble that of my father, because of the way my mother stood. I ask my parents about it several times, but they always teased me and in the end it didn't come true to hear the truth until the end.

When she was ten, a herd of oaks struck the village of Thysek again.

Luna, whose body was young but whose spirit was an adult, escaped the difficulties as she trembled in fear in an underground reservoir placed in her father.

He was then helped by one adventurer and became the adopted daughter of his house.

At that time, she was being asked about the shadow of the demon clan surrounding her village of Thysek.

(When I heard that story, I thought it was aimed at my mother. The demons came after my mother. Sure, I had the dark attribute magical qualities, but there's nothing special about it other than that. No, I have memories of my previous life, so that might be special...)

She shakes her head and remembers Ray's words.

(But when I hear about Ray, it just seems like he was after me. I thought it might be a lie, so maybe I got extra angry...)

And I was remembering the last eight years.

(Eight years after that, nothing has happened around me. So maybe you wanted to think I wasn't the point. But maybe that's because those people protected me, they helped me stay out of danger... if I did...)

She starts to get anxious about what lies ahead.

(... If so, the Demons might be after me, as he says. That would annoy Ryan, Mr. Hazel and fans alike. And to this city...)

She was lying down in her bed and remembering her first love in this world.

(If you had that guy... yeah, that guy told me he would protect me. But... I want to see you. To that guy...... help! I'm scared...)

morning of November 16th.

Redeem Demon Crystals in the West Branch of Adventurer Alliance. The total value was C 50 per capita at about C 750.

After receiving the money, say goodbye to Aldo and the others.

Aldo said, "Thank you for your help. Also, let's work together somewhere," he takes the three hands and slaps them on the shoulder.

Boris said to Ashley, "I'm sorry. I let you worry a lot," he said with a bitter laugh, offering his right hand.

Ray draws attention to "watch out for a massive raid," every time he says goodbye, but they all felt half-heartedly.

After rendezvous with Ginny, the Rays set out for Doctus, an academic city about two hundred km away.
