Lesson 37: Unlocking the Magic

Raspade instructs the officials of the Intelligence Division to strip the four adventurers who were bewitched by the puppet Kutsu and to restrain him strictly once again.

"Well, here's the real deal. See how this dark attribute magic manipulates the subject's spirit."

Raspade carefully checks the back of one adventurer. And I found a small wound like a needle poke.

"Look here. It's where your magic sucked in the light, but there's a small scratch. My prediction should be that there's some sort of operation going on here. Well, Mr. Arklight."

When Ray reluctantly answers yes,

"Will you do the earlier magic again? I want to see if my hypothesis is correct."

Ray nods small and activates the magic of the earlier light with no chant.

The light out of Ray's left hand is sucked into the man's back. And the place was consistent with the little scratches Raspade showed.

"After all, you seem right. Now, the next problem is, my prediction is that there's supposed to be magic implants embedded here. How to take it out......"

With that said, he had his right hand on his back so that he could take the Demonic Stone out of the demon. Immediately sweat erupts from Raspade's forehead, which appears to be consuming a considerable amount of magic.

Ray seemed to have magic leaking out of the man's back.

(Magic is leaking? If so, isn't it dangerous...)

"Doctor, it looks like magic is leaking from this guy, is it okay?

"Do I look like you, too? Lloyd, is that you or does it not look like you?"

Suddenly, Lloyd of the Intelligence Division, who was told the story, opened his eyes wide, and shook his neck wide and sideways.

Raspade held his hand and said, "Anybody see anything?" and look around.

As everyone but Ray shook his head to the side, Raspade took his hand away from the man once.

"Sounds like you need magic training. And it's a pain in the ass. If the subject's magic is leaking, he is likely to die. However, if the magic leaks from the Demonic Stone of the Prop, the subject can be freed from the puppet. As far as I'm concerned, I'd like to proceed with the experiment... Lloyd, will you get confirmation from Commander Ogburn? Then I'll ask you to secure the whores in the whorehouse where these people were already."

Lloyd walked out of this suspicious experimental setting, leaving the room at a glance.

And soon Randall ran into the room.

"I hear you found out you're a puppet. So, if there's a danger involved in freeing that person... why don't you place a healer?

To Randall's suggestion, Raspade shakes his neck sideways.

"Perhaps healing magic won't work. If the magic is leaking, the power of life is missing. If it's curative magic, it'll only consume magic for nothing."

"So you're asking me if I'm prepared to sacrifice this person's life."

Raspade nods at Randall's inquiry.

"This man, too, wouldn't be able to live as a puppet like this. Well, defeating the surgeon could solve the magic, but on the contrary, we can't deny the possibility that the surgeon will die with his death. I mean, if you want to totally help this guy, you have to be adventurous... and, of course, you can keep this up for my research."

"I'll allow it to run under my responsibility," Randall said after thinking for a few seconds. There was no expression on that face, and even if he was distressed, the people around him could not see it.

Raspade nodded small and put his hand on the man's back again. And then sweat begins to float on Raspade's forehead again.

Ray looked at the condition and spoke to Raspade.

"Doctor, maybe I should do it. I don't have any basis, but I feel like I can."

(Maybe it attaches to the nerves like a hook. It's the same place where the place retrieves the Demon Crystal Stone, and something like the source of the person's magic might have demon props punched in... If you're going to remove that, forcing it out is going to be a big deal. As an image, it pulls out to solve what has eaten into the nerves. Slowly and carefully......)

Did Raspade decide he couldn't do it himself, or give the place to Ray?

Ray takes a deep breath once and slowly puts his left hand against the man's back.

When you inject magic, you know there's something, but when you try to get it to rise, there's no sign of it moving in a hooked way.

(I knew you felt hooked. I can't move even if I try to pull it off. Then, once it feels like pushing it in the back, let it U-turn...)

Consolidating the image and adding more magic, I felt something reacting to magic moved just a little bit.

(Ok, looks like you can go... don't push it, slowly, be cautious and polite with the feeling of untangling the fishing line...)

In about a minute something like a black, thin needle came out of the man's back.

"This is it! This is the puppet's magic trick!

Raspade's excited voice echoes into the room. Ray carefully pulled out the needle without turning his mind to it.

I finished pulling out the needle and would look at the man, but I didn't see any particular anomalies other than the slightly shallow breath.

Raspade had a pinset-like instrument in his hand as to where he had taken it from. And grab the needle you pulled out with it.

Put the needle on the magic prop of the lights,

"It's still like a demonic crystal stone. We don't have the technology to process this thin... who made it how... yes, Mr. Lloyd. Let me check the orb."

Lloyd said, "Are you confirming the orb?," he asked back.

"Here are those who have been freed from the puppet and those who remain puppets. Compare the two... No, compare them before and after liberation, and you'll be able to determine whether or not the puppet is in a puppet state with orb confirmation."

Randall understands Raspade's intentions and asks Lloyd to prepare a magic prop for orb confirmation.

Immediately the demon props are transported from the intelligence section to check the orbs of the sleeping men.

"Again... you can't tell by the orb"

Ray wondered why he said “Again," and asked, "What does that mean?," he asked.

"It's only hypothetical, but this puppet's demonic props work directly on the soul. In other words, they have no sense of sin. As you know, the Orb is a magic tool that reflects the state of that person's soul. I mean, it's important to know if you're aware that you've broken the constraints."

"Does that mean you don't feel guilty when you're being manipulated?

"Maybe you're right to say you're unconscious in person rather than not feeling guilty"

Raspade tries to make sure of it and slaps gently on the cheek of the man who pulled out the needle.

I didn't quite wake up to see if the magic of sleep was working, but when I included the distilled liquor Randall had prepared in my mouth, I woke up upside down.

I looked around and didn't understand why I was here or why I was tied up.

And Randall talks to the man.

"You know who I am? What's your name?

"Uh, Mr. Randall Ogburn, right? Why... I'm Otto. Why am I here? Why are you tied up?

Otto started to get confused when he woke up and started to understand the situation.

"Calm down. What's the last thing you remember? If you tell me that, I'll untie you."

Otto was desperately following the words.

"... I went to the East Forest to scout... and I found a herd of orgasms! Then the devil clan forced us to surrender..."

His story was about: When they followed in the footsteps of Auga into the back of the woods, they discovered a herd of Auga. Kirsty, the leader, decided it was dangerous and decided to withdraw immediately, but behind them were demons with wing demons circling. A winged demon clan forced Kirsty to surrender, surrendering to the demon clan that it was better than dying. And it meant that my memory was broken where I was disarmed and roped.

"You really don't remember? You know what month and day it is?

Otto desperately said, "It's true! I don't remember anything," he exclaims, "It's December 6th, isn't it..." he answers confidently.

Raspade put his arms together and thought, and Randall looked in trouble about what to do.

The magic of the remaining three puppets is then lifted and interrogation is carried out, but there was no memory at all of them while they were all considered puppets in the same way as Otto.

"It's troublesome magic...... Doctor, do you have a countermeasure?

"It is possible to make magic props for exploration… so far, Arklight, you are the only one who can unlock magic. Mr. Archrite, is it possible to teach others how to do this?

Ray was worried about how to answer.

"... it's possible to tell you the image, but you have to actually try..."

Randall worried for a while before slowly starting to talk.

"In the meantime, I ask Dr. Raspade to make a magic prop. Ray needs to write down that image and what he did. If a puppet is found without you..."

Randall lays a warrant on the staff of the Information Division and instructs them to thoroughly manage the information.

"Don't tell anyone the stories you see here until Dr. Raspade completes his demonic props. For my colleagues and my family. And then mark the guy who came to ask for weird information. If possible, follow the trail and explore the relationship behind it..."

In the end, no useful information was purchased from the adventurers who had the magic of the puppet "Kutsuku" hanging by the Demon Clan. Still no sign of Kirsty and another female adventurer.

(I don't know if this leaked any information. No, I guess we should think it was leaked because there was a puppet. But now I can't go to Rickadale extra. You can't unlock puppet magic other than me...)

And I was trying to figure out a way to keep the Lunas safe.

(There are ways to dispatch the Unos, but I'm a light god official, so if the Demons find out they're trying to kidnap you, it could be a pain in the ass. Even if you go to Ash or Stella, if the Wingman comes out, you'll be in danger to both of us. Can we just hope you're safe now...)

He was worried about Luna, but he couldn't move himself and had to pray to heaven.
