Trinitas Mundus

Episode 52: Orvo's Agony

The night of December 20th.

Ray took a prisoner of the Little Ghost tribe who was scouting around the city and returned to Alliance headquarters.

Defense chief Randall Ogburn ordered the Intelligence Division to begin interrogating prisoners immediately, as well as asking Ray about the situation.

"... you mean the enemy knows you caught these guys... awkward. Now there's a chance the enemy will move faster."

Ray nodded to it, "Right,"

"If you find out this one's got the prisoner, you might try to attack him down at once, not just reposition him lurking. We don't know where the enemy is, but we should probably be within two days."

"Normally, the Devil's captives don't crack their mouths, so the enemy won't worry so much either, but this time I know they have a good magician. Now you can't read how the situation works..."

Randall was so grumbling with a bitter look.

At that time, Ray was distracted from hearing the whine as Professor Lionel Raspade, who had heard information that he had captured the Little Ghost Clan, entered Randall's room.

Raspade said excitedly, "I hear you've captured the little ghost tribe. That's also the Dark Attribute Magic User," he said, stuffing on Ray.

And I started talking, "Arklight, I'd like you to help me..."

"Could you hang the magic of the puppet" Kutsuku "on the little ghost tribe? You can use the dark attributes. You can do it."

Ray tilts his neck at Raspade's words.

"Is it puppet magic? How could I? First of all, I don't know the magic spell and how to imagine it..."

Raspade blocks his words and strongly denies, "You should be able to do it".

"I hear you're an elite kid. If I can be a puppet, I wonder if I can get more information about my enemies. Besides, Archrite, I think you could think of a more effective hand?

In Raspade's words, Randall said, "An effective hand?" and say the question.

Raspade said, "Exactly,"

"Arklight, you'd be coming up with a more effective use of the little ghost clan that you puppeted with. Wouldn't you?

Ray understood what Raspade was trying to say.

(I guess the teacher says to return the puppeted little ghost tribe to the enemy's main unit. That way, we can flow information or incite mutual distrust that would be in our favor...)

What Ray thought was that after using the scourge of the Little Ghost as a puppet, he decided to escape from Periclitle and return to the main unit, passing on information here excessively or negligently to confuse his enemies, spreading rumours that were not there to incite mutual distrust, and even using it for sabotage activities such as assassinating dignitaries and mixing poison into food.

(It's a nasty way, but it's effective. I don't want to do that myself, but if they told me to protect the city, to protect my people, I wouldn't be able to say no... well, the premise is that I can use puppet magic, that needle-like magic equipment is still available...)

toward Randall, whom he has not yet understood,

"I think maybe this is what the teacher is trying to say. He wants to use scouts to spread false information, assassinate or destroy enemy stations..."

Randall immediately understands the meaning of his words and nods, "That's certainly an effective way for us," he said.

"But you can do it? I'm sure you're a genius magician, but magic isn't so easy to reproduce."

Raspade answered Randall's words first.

"Don't worry about it. There are seven of those needles that are magic props. There are three subjects, but if you fail, you will not die. Besides, I already have a spell in mind. After that, Arklight, it's your ability, but I'm not worried about this one."

Raspade happily continues to talk further.

"If this experiment works, we might find out the secret end of that needle-like magic prop. Further exploration of the memories of the Ghost Clan reveals the enemy's insights. As you know, the Commander has captured the Demons several times before, but he hasn't spoken of any information at once. I don't care what kind of torture you hang."

The battle against the Demons had already continued for centuries. Sometimes they captive the heavily wounded demons, but they did not divulge any information whatsoever under any kind of torture. Precisely, as soon as they lost their torture and tried to talk, they had a strong load on their spirits and either died on the spot or their spirits would collapse completely.

Randall just nods, "Right," but there was a strong grip on the inside.

(Certainly the professor's suggestion is fascinating. If it's puppet magic, the enemy's information will be lost, and even more effective is Ray's sabotage... but as a person, there is a question of whether we can do it. It's the magic the enemy has used, but it feels like blasphemy to manipulate people's hearts... but there are great sacrifices to be made as they are. To prevent it......)

Whether or not he knows Randall's grid, Raspade goes on to talk further.

"This is a one-of-a-kind opportunity. This is a great opportunity to discover the secrets of the Demon Clan! What? The puppet magic is not permanent. Once the battle is over, you can cancel it. And the enemy is using it. So you don't have to get sick."

Randall gradually leaned toward Raspade's suggestion.

(Certainly the professor is right. There is no hand without the hand used by the enemy. And then there's Ray. This guy hates these things. Until then if you say it's clean, but this guy is bound by the fact that people live freely as people...)

Randall opened his mouth to Seo Momouro.

"I understand what the professor is trying to say."

And turn to Ray,

"I know you hate these things. But if this succeeds, a lot of people's lives will be saved... and I don't want to force it on you. If you really don't want to admit it, I don't think we had this conversation."

Ray has leaned down to the word.

(Mr. Randall wants me to hang the magic of the puppet Kutsuku. But you told me you'd leave it to me because I wouldn't like it. You respected my will even though you could have given me orders. I do think if you puppeted the Little Ghost Sorcerer, you'd get a lot of information. I know this is what the teacher is for, but it's definitely a valid hand... but puppet magic is the magic that robots people. It's no different than what the Beasts of Luke are doing...)

All he could do was say "let me think" powerlessly.

Randall nods, "Okay,"

"But I can't do much time. We don't even know when our enemies will attack us."

Ray nodded, leaving Randall's room behind.

Ashley, who was listening together, understood why Ray was distressed.

(When I heard about Stella, Ray taught me the word "human rights”. I wasn't sure at first, but I do think that's something to protect, too. The puppet's magic is in conflict with its “human rights”. It's something that disregards people's dignity and makes them tools... but if they say it's in exchange for people's lives, Ray has to worry too... nothing I have to say...)

Ashley holds his shoulder, walking powerless,

"Let's hope for the Information Division first. It's okay to worry about that."

Ray nodded small at her words and walked into the room she was using for the hypnotic room.

Early morning of December 21st.

The survival of the scouts of the Little Ghosts returned to the main unit of the Demon Army.

The two survivors kneel before those who were lords of the collected demonic armies and begin reporting with a trembling voice.

"... suddenly a sun-like light appeared in the dark. As we looked around for something, horribly strong beasts appeared and attacked us. We also managed to counter it, but soon a magician using the magic of light started covering from about a hundred meters away. Master Shefki seems to have ordered us to withdraw immediately, and our allies have begun to withdraw…"

The surviving little ghost tribe laid down his eyes there for the first time and breathed as if he could soothe a whimper.

"... that's when. The magician unleashed about ten arrows of light at a time. Its arrows of light flew to chase retreating allies, all pierced by allies who tried to get down and dodge them. Then the beasts gathered and stabbed their allies with a stop…"

Starting with the leader of the scouts, Shefki Sommelyoki, I heard that the elite of the nineteen little ghosts had been defeated, and an upset runs to the leaders of the Demonic Army.

Orvo Kronvar, commander of the Demonic Army, of the Great Ghost Nation, asked about his ally, Shevki, in a fat and powerful voice as usual.

"What happened to Shefki? Was he murdered, or was he captured?

The scourge of the Little Ghost draped his head deep,

"We have not been able to ascertain what happened to Master Shefki. However, we confirm that only three people will be drawn to the city."

Orvo shrugged, "Well," he said, "Thank you. Get some rest," he says, working the two of us to survive. As the two stepped back from before him, the leader of the Middle-Ghost tribe, Vaino Budosco, raised his mockery.

"Not as much as a little ghost tribe or mouth. I didn't expect you to fall behind like a beast in the Dark Night Battle!

Vaino is a mid-thirties, ghost-like, disappointed fighter of stature with a giant single-edged song knife beside him, Farcion.

He further turned to Orvo,

"Even in a situation where you have to put out a scourge in the first place. This is all we have. Enough force pushing. We can make it fall in half a day, like that city."

Vaino demeans him after learning of the covenant between Orvo and Varma.

"There is no such thing as the Son of the Moon that involves us ghosts. I don't even know if I'm here, I think I'm wasting my time here for these people! We ghosts insist on invading the city immediately!

Orvo was listening to the words, with his thin eyes open, but slowly opened his mouth.

"The Middle-Ghost clashed in the north, creating a factor in the withdrawal of all troops, but are we going to repeat the same thing here?

He set out to attract operational failures at Fort Chulock in the eastern part of the Kingdom of Lax.

Vaino frowns slightly,

"That was caused by the Great Haunted, Winged Demons not supporting it. It's not our fault!

"That's a little different from what I heard. I hear that Yurki the Middle-Ghost - the Middle-Ghost manipulator (Tamer) Yurki Bindler - did not say no to Balthazar - the Great Ghost commander Balthazar Owomoela - or Asra - the Winged Demon spellman Asla Volti - and did not request support until it became dangerous. This is also Yurki's report."

In Orvo's words Vaino found no words to return, silent, but in his eyes dwelt the light of hatred.

Vaino stood up,

"I heard the little ghost tribe report. If Lord Orvo doesn't order an invasion, you don't have to be here."

That's what I said, staring at Orvo, and walking away from the spot.

Orvo did not change his expression and would drop him off, but in his heart he was bitter about this situation.

(Now that we have lost Shefki, it is difficult to contain the Vaino and other Chinese ghosts. If Varma doesn't secure your son soon, the Middle-Ghost tribe will erupt in a couple of days...)

And he was also worried that the captured little ghost tribe would be interrogated.

(You'll hurt yourself if you're tortured, but there's that “white magician”. Shefki is an elite man of his own choosing, but if he is interrogated using magic, there is no denying the possibility that information will be leaked to the enemy. If we are known to have certainty between our forces, our position, our supply situation, and the more dominant Chinese ghost tribe and the other tribes, our enemies will surely poke at us there. It's not Vino, but if we don't open the battlefield as soon as possible, it's going to be hard to win...)

Orvo was quietly meditating on his eyes and was anxious about the developments ahead as they led him to Oki.

morning of December 21st.

There was no new scourge of the devil clan, and he was experiencing a quiet morning.

Ray had taken a break in the dormancy room at Guild headquarters before attending an interrogation by the Intelligence Division or hearing from Raspade about the abilities of the Little Ghost Clan.

The interrogation of the captured little ghost tribe, as Raspade pointed out, did not open their mouths as hard as all three of them could, and has not progressed at all.

Asking Raspade about the abilities of the Little Ghost Clan,

"All we know is that ghosts possess demonic, august, oak, and goblin traits that resemble their traits, and that they can be used. Even at the invasion of the Demons eighteen years ago, there were unconfirmed reports that they used magic, but no one believed it at the time. This time, the fact that the little ghosts used magic, which is also dark attribute magic, is very interesting to researchers."

"Does that mean this is the first time we've been able to confirm that the Little Ghost Clan used magic?

"You will. Perhaps it means that there are extremely few users and that we are not using them in such a way that evidence remains. If it weren't for you this time, the fact that you used magic might have been considered a frown saliva."

Ray thanked Raspade and headed to the room where the Intelligence Division was conducting the interrogation.

Inside the room, the Little Ghost warriors are stripped of their armor and detained close to half naked. The two warriors have been bitten with sturdy strings made of leather to keep their tongues from biting off, and the warrior who supposedly used magic is wearing an even harsher ape. And they all look pretty grumpy.

(Instead of his name, he doesn't speak a word, and on the contrary, I heard he tried to kill himself by chewing off his tongue. So that's all you're ready for...)

He was worried about whether the magic of the puppet Kutsuku should be hung as he looked at it.

(Dr. Raspade is right, if that magic item is available, I think you can hang the puppet's magic. Images are powerful hypnosis, so it's not that hard. But even though I'm an enemy, I feel like manipulating people's minds shouldn't be done...)

He troubledly headed to the scene of the trap installation.

Ray, along with Stella, was checking the installation of the trap in the East End.

As he instructed, the house after the evacuation of the inhabitants was undergoing various modifications. Moreover, by the hands of many citizens, what he had instructed was carried into the house.

Around 10 a.m., where he was inspecting, Alliance officials came to visit.

"Earlier, a man named Ryan arrived."

Ray said, "Ryan did? What did you say?," he asked.

"Anything, we're heading to the city of Orton now, but there's no additional escort. I want you to hit me with something. If you're hitting your hand, it was a message that you wanted me to tell you directly about it. It felt like you knew about this when you were talking about the one who brought the message..."

As Ray blocked the official's words, "When is that!" Stuffed.

"I heard about an hour ago, but you heard about another thirty minutes before the user came to HQ," the official replies, wandering over his sword screen.

Ray ran out to the inn as soon as he thanked the staff.

(What do you mean! I told you not to leave Periclitle (here) so much...)
