Trinitas Mundus

Episode 60: Tranquility Before the Storm

Tria history 3025, December 23.

The day passed quietly.

In the Demon Army main unit lurking in the east woods of Periclitle, Commander Orvo Kronvar was corrupt to maintain the morale of his allies.

With the hunt he allowed, even the dissatisfied Middle-Ghost tribe had a satisfying look in front of him at the demons they hunted.

Orvo, although relieved, reconsiders that it is far from a fundamental solution.

(Interrupted from Varma. I don't know if he was captured like Shefki - the leader of the Little Ghost Clan, Shefki Sommeryoki. The Moon Demon's hands-on "Who" magician - how to call a magician in the Demon Nation - but if that “white magician” is the opponent, it's not weird no matter what happens. In this situation, the scourge cannot be unleashed, and Varma, the only source, has not contacted us. Vaino - the leader of the middle ghost tribe, Vaino Budosco - but is it one hand to strike out...)

Radice, the scout of the Beast Man who received the life of Periclitle defense chief Randall Ogburn, was heading east through the East Forest with nine companions.

According to the information Ray has obtained, we are looking for the main unit of the Demonic Army, but even the great army of five thousand was not readily discoverable in the wide eastern woods.

He divided his own scouts into three squads and searched the area.

(If you move so your enemies don't find you, don't just slow down your movement. After all, in this forest, we only know the general location, can't we find it soon? If I could, I would have liked to be back in the city by the end of the day, but apparently I can't...)

He himself leads three scouts and searches the area.

And around noon, he found the Demon Army main unit.

The main army of the Demon Army was moving slightly north from its position in the information, further scattered in the woods. Ladis was in a flash of a rush to find someone in the scouts and start a search, but he felt no nervousness about the demonic movement and was not looking for himself.

(Sounds like it's not a scout hunt. What are you doing?... hunting!

Ten or so Middle-Ghost tribes, similar to orcs, pass the tip where they were hiding in the shadows of the trees. They carry rock pigs (rock bore) and sword deer (swordhorn mousse) with pleasure and look like they are hunting for food.

He signals silently to the three men and follows the trail of the Middle-Ghost tribe.

Twenty minutes later, the Middle-Ghost tribes arrived at a place where the main unit seems to be camping.

Only on the eastern side of the camp did Orvo, commander of the Demonic Army, authorize the hunt, but Orvo had no idea that some Middle-Ghost tribes were seeking prey and going south. In the meantime, Radice found the ghost tribe.

Radis carefully scouted around the camp where the outpost stood and decided that there was almost all of the enemy's troops here.

(Almost as informed? Still, it's a good number of demons. Auga, Oak, Goblin, I've never seen this number before... Ok, my enemies won't find me. Suppose I pull it off at home...)

Radis returns to the rendezvous point with the other two squads and waits for the rest of the scouts. They each returned around 2 p.m., which is rally time, but the other two squadrons had not made detailed reconnaissance and had no additional information to avoid enemy hunting or sentry units.

"Thank you for your hard work. We'll be back in the city in a minute. So far, my enemies have found me. Yes, sir. But don't be alarmed."

The scouts went back west to run through the woods.

The city of Periclitle was steadily preparing for interception.

The installation of the trap, which was a suspension proposal, will also proceed faster than expected and will be completed by the 24th of December tomorrow.

Ray had commanded the installation of the trap and trained the magicians, but both were satisfied with the finishing situation.

(If we keep this up, the trap should be sufficiently useful. And then I don't know how to lure you here. Looks like Mr. Randall is going to use the Holy Knights of Light Divinity, but it's subtle if they can help. You might want to think about other hands too......)

He headed to the northern meadow where Ashley is.

Under her guidance, the young adventurers could not be said to be undisturbed, but were beginning to show sufficiently controlled movement.

Ray went to Ashley's,

"You're almost ready to move. I think I can do less damage with this. That's Ash."

Ashley shook her neck sideways at the words.

"No, I can't say enough yet. Sure, it may be enough without enemies, but enemies are great armies. That's a big army with big augs, too. I just heard that footstep, but there's bound to be someone out there who's scared."

Ray previously remembered when Fort Chulock - a fort in the eastern part of the Kingdom of Lax - came under an Auga raid nearby.

"You sure do. I was scared when I first saw Auga, too. [M] I remember thinking there were about thirty bodies back then, and I would never win just by footsteps."

Ashley nodded at it,

"I had your magic then, but my father was there for me. If it weren't for my father, I'd probably have panicked to say the fifth unit of the Mercenary Corps of Markat (Red Arms). Well, this time it's more than ten times that. Don't be frightened. It's more impossible."

Ashley thought it was because they were originally the mercenaries of the elite and prestigious Mercenary Corps of Markat and because of the presence of the esteemed Commander Hamish Markat that they could stand up to almost the same number of thirty orgasms as themselves.

These are young adventurers whose quality drops a few steps compared to the Marcut Mercenaries this time around. She thinks that many would lose their lives if they stood on the battlefield like that.

While hiding his chest anxiety, Ashley said, "Either way, it's just a job to fight properly and then run away. I'll try to plant it," he laughed.

Ray headed from the meadow where Ashley was training to the East End where Stella was explaining the procedure to the scouts.

In the East End, citizens and Luke's peasant militias were on duty to prepare the trap.

He found Angus - the son of the village chief of Fiscal Village, a peasant militia compiler - among Luke's peasant militias encouraging the installation of traps.

The Angus seemed healthy to look different, as their diet had improved over the past few days and the clothes they were wearing had become ordinary objects bought from the refugees.

(That's all it takes to change the atmosphere. You mean how terrible the treatment of light theism was......)

Ray gives voice to the Angus as he smiles.

"Good luck. Thanks to you, the work is progressing and helpful."

Angus and the peasant militiamen who were around him look at Ray and bow their heads big.

"Thank you, Mr. Arklight, for your good thoughts. Good food, no, let me not only eat, but even drink, what can I say..."

Angus was desperate to convey his gratitude, but the way he spoke was a little strange because of it.

Ray thought it was rude to laugh, "It's not a big deal. I've had enough work done," he replied seriously.

Angus shook his head beside him,

"No, I've never had you do so well. Say anything. We can do anything for Master Arklight."

Ray was hesitant to put these simple people on the battlefield.

(I really need to get you on the battlefield in a couple of pairs. But these people aren't trained for anything. Maybe we should think of another role......)

With that in mind, Ray headed to the place where he was training the scouts.

At the training site of the scouts, Stella was carefully describing the roles one by one, mixed with the light-wearing adventurers of the mid twenties and mid thirties. The veterans Ladis are missing, but the scouts were desperately trying to understand the procedure to accomplish the role they were given.

But the adventurers here seemed to be open minded to young Stella, including occasional laughter in desperation. Stella's expression also looks soft and relaxed.

Ray saw what Stella looked like,

(Stella can now interact with other people on her own, too. If you think about that six months ago, that's a tremendous advance...)

At the time they enter the break, Ray speaks to Stella, "Looking good," he said.

Acknowledging Ray's appearance, she smiled brightly and replied yes.

"No problem at all as you all work together"

When Stella said that, she said from around, "Leave it to us! Besides the tempered voice that says," Thanks to Stella, praise him properly! "and so on, and the voice that cools him down also hangs.

While Ray turned red, he said, "You all hold the key to this operation! Thank you so much!," he bows his head deeply again.

From all around me, I'm like, "Leave it to me!" The voice hung in unison, bashing Ray's shoulder.

(Apparently, you're really going to be okay. When that happens, the biggest problem is luring you here... you should talk to Mr. Randall again...)

Ray spoke to Stella and the scouts again before heading to Adventurer Guild Headquarters.

PericLittle's head of defense, Randall Ogburn, was haunted by the way the city's remaining residents were evacuated.

Half of the 50,000 inhabitants evacuated to nearby cities, but nearly 20,000 remained without direct force.

They have no relatives to rely on, and many could not leave this city. Of course, some remain trying to protect the city, but only about five hundred former adventurers can expect it as a force of war. They are also mixed up with active adventurers and under Randall's command.

(There can be no castle, so don't worry about food, but considering the city will be a battlefield, you have to figure out a way to evacuate it. Especially the women who have to be evacuated even in exchange for their lives)

Not only from a humanitarian point of view, he feared that, when Pericritle was occupied, when more than a thousand young women were left behind, it would enhance the demonic power.

(Those who are already young women and have escaped have been let go. All that remains now are women adventurers who have nowhere else to go but here. In the worst case scenario, we have to burn this city, kill the women, but stop the demons...)

Ray, who finished his inspection, returned under a sadly prepared Randall.

Randall calmed down and asked him the results of the inspection in bright shape.

"How's the city going? I heard the trap is going to be ready by tomorrow?

Ray didn't realize Randall's misery.

"Yes, I think the trap will be complete after noon tomorrow. Stella's doing better. All you have to do is figure out how to pull in."

"Then I'll leave it to you," Randall chuckles niggardly.

He looked like Ray still said something, so he hit the lead and started talking.

"Are you anxious just for the Holy Knight? Me and a hundred elite men will draw your enemies in. Leave it to me."

Ray hears the words and opens his eyes wide. And it was rare for him to stuffed his voice with absurdity.

"What are you going to do with the commander standing on the front line himself! If anything happens to Mr. Randall, the operation and nothing else are gone! Then I'll do it!

Randall is surprised by Ray's sword screen, but he can't even say, "That's an impossible consultation."

"If I leave, the Demons will surely come after me. You're right, if I die, they win this fight. No more bait, no more bait."

It looked like Randall was in a hurry to die to Ray.

(I don't think it's the usual Mr. Randall. Maybe we're in this situation. But if Mr. Randall dies here, he's a real loser. So tie it up but you have to stop it......)

"If it's as bait, I'm better than Mr. Randall, aren't I? Whatever you say, you are the natural enemy of the Demon Clan, the White Mage. You may not feed on Mr. Randall, who is not known to the Demons."

Randall laughs bitterly at the way Ray says it.

"Sure, maybe, but I can't give this away. Using command authority, but I'm on the front line."

Ray saw Randall's will as stiff and gave up persuasion on this occasion.

"Okay. But I will also give you my staff. [M] It would be more picturesque to have a White Warrior."

Randall was surprised at the way Ray put it, but immediately said, "Fine. It would be better if you were there," he said with a mercenary grin.

Ray brings up the story of the Holy Knight to change the subject.

"It's the Holy Knights, but at what time should we let them out? I can't trust the man named Paredes, Captain of the Holy Knights, Captain of the Maximilian Paredes Battalion."

Randall also noticed that he had changed the subject, but felt Ray's consideration and got on with the conversation.

"I'll take care of that, too. If you make a bad move, it's all about morale. I'll use it the best I can at the best time."

Neither did Randall trust the Holy Knight, especially a man named Paredes. Consolidation of vanity, but I don't even think I've ever messed around with a training ground, and I was afraid that if I had the great army of demons in front of me, I would run away.

Ray was wondering where Randall's confidence would come from.

"What exactly are you going to do? I don't think it would work with a bad" daddy "... you're not going to use the puppet" Kutsuku "magic, are you?"

Randall laughs, "Don't be stupid," but soon becomes a serious look,

"I don't use that magic. I don't think I can use it. What happens if your allies find out you can use puppet magic? But even dark attribute magic has a bad reputation. That's the situation now because of the Demons. You'll be white-eyed just because you can use the dark attributes."

Ray nods at it. Randall went on to say more.

"With you, the White Master, we can fight. If that's the Dark Warrior... you'll be unhappy, but that's all you have."

After I said that much, I banged his shoulder,

"Well, give it up. Hamish struggled with his two names, too. His successor's daughter and son-in-law should have the same difficulty."

Ray sighs and says, "It's a hassle," and then he smiles like a person's bad grin about whether he comes up with anything.

When Randall looks strange,

"If you win this battle, you will have a hero who uses“ White Master ”. Now Mr. Randall is a celebrity, too. That said, Mr. Randall doesn't have two names? Maybe he's hiding it or something?

"Don't be stupid. There's no way there's such an embarrassment."

Ray laughed even more niggly,

"Didn't you hide it? Yes, Mr. Yoan - Inn, master of the Arid Eagle's Nest - then you may know."

"You idiot! Ask Joan and nothing will come up."

"I get it. Well, I'll think of two names."

Randall was feeling Ray's care as he interacted with him. Because he said light words that regular Ray wouldn't say, to encourage himself.

(Is this guy trying to get rid of my misery, which is the general? I put the lives of my two precious companions, Ashley and Stella, at risk, and even though I'm going to die myself... it's very different from my depressed face after they grabbed Luna. I really don't know...)

I guess if Ray asked, it would be overrated, but Ray's presence was such a big thing in Randall. That may have to do with his responsibility to keep tens of thousands of lives, a circumstance that is about to be crushed. In his deep psyche, he could also say that he was trying to find hope in Ray with the feeling of grabbing straw as well.
