Lesson 65: The Holy Knights

December 26th, after 9am.

About a hundred of the Saint Knights of Luke's Holy Kingdom were on the south side of the Periclitle Defense Forces headquarters. They also heard the roar of the demonic armies sounding like a ground beep from the eastern woods.

Saint Knights captain Maximilian Paredes feared the creepy whispers of the demons barking.

(Not yet, I don't see him. I didn't know that sounded like it...... Ogburn - Periclitle defense chief Randall Ogburn - said about 5,000, but the enemy is definitely over 10,000. If so, only a few hundred people will go to the dogs to die...)

Paredes flips his horse and instructs him to retreat.

"The number of enemies far exceeds the Defense Command's expectations! We'll pull back once we're done here! This is not a cowardly retreat!

But no one followed him.

I wanted to follow him precisely, but I remembered the words of Bishop Gastaldi, head of the Light Divine Demonic Crusade, and couldn't move. They thought if they escaped here, not only would they wear the stigma of a traitor, but they would be killed by the deputy captain Fortunato.

Paredes against an ally who never moves,

"Dog dying is not God's will! This is a strategic retreat! Say it again. Try to bring it back to life!

Deputy captain Ranjes Fortunato approaches the arousing Paredes.

"Lord Paredes. Forget what Bishop Gastaldi said. If we retreat here, the future of our Order will be lost. This is where giving your life as a martyr is in keeping with God's will. If you cannot command, you will have your life in accordance with the Bishop's orders."

When Fortunato says so gravely, he pulls out his sword and sticks it against Paredes' neck.

Paredes cries bright red in his face at the act.

"You! Turn your sword toward the captain! Yes! Pull!

Shortly thereafter, however, Fortunato did not change his expression and pierced the neck of Paredes, as though slaughtering an animal.

Paredes was slashed and torn through his carotid artery, and his horse collapsed as he ejected blood. He opens his eyes and clashes to the ground without understanding the situation.

"More than this, Langess Fortunato will take command! Anyone who disagrees will hear later! Now obey me!

His might compelled the Holy Knights to obey.

"At fifty meters in front of the enemy, follow the instructions of each platoon leader and release the arrows of light! Then let's go! Proceed!"

On the orders of Fortunato, a hundred horsemen run their horses.

After them, only Paredes, bleeding from his neck and desperate, and his beloved horse, unable to locate, were left behind.

Around 9: 30 a.m., the curtain of the battle, later known as the Periclitle offensive, was cut and dropped.

The Saint Knights advance to the Demonic Army with the deputy captain Fortunato as the first white arrow.

The sound of heavy horseshoes, unleashed by a hundred mounted heavy cavalry, dominates the meadows.

The Demon Army notices the Saints, but decides they are a small force, and just a glimpse, they ignored the Saints and headed to the city.

Certainly some of the Saints did not like to take part in the battle. Precisely most of the knights were in the fight for fear of Bishop Gastaldi.

But they were also combat-trained warriors, all excited by the adrenaline in battle.

And the excitement caused by that adrenaline makes us feel angry at the demonic army that insults us. They whipped their horses to remind their enemies who insult them.

"The enemy is going to ignore us! Strike down the hammer on the Dark Families in the name of God!

In Fortunato's voice the Holy Knights said, "Ooh!," he responded, further increasing the horse's speed.

Langes Fortunato is the Holy Knight of the Third Staircase, or Platoon Captain Class, but he is already thirty-five years old and quite old for that rank.

He was born into the three men of the house of the secular knight and worked hard to become the Holy Knight of the Order. But in light theism, there was a growing hereditary, and his unborn birth of priests and holy knights was slow. I had to shut up and watch the knights, far younger and immature than myself, overtake themselves and become squadron leaders.

He could also use light attribute magic there, and was even better at handling horses because he was born into a secular knight's house. Spears on horses in particular are said to be Troop One, and I am proud to say that in combat I can work more than any other Saint Knights.

I was selected for this expedition because I was bought that arm, but the primary reason was that no complaint came from any faction, even if he died.

He also knew how much the denomination appreciated himself.

Being elected to this demonic crusade only made that decisive.

This unit was clearly a stone's throw.

Paredes was born of a house that would bring him to fame, but he was magnificent for his incompetence, and he hated it quite a bit. Naturally, his boss knew about it and got rid of it physically.

He had long since given up his birth within the Order.

For his part, he was not willing to die, but at the time of Paredes' election as captain, he did not think he could safely return to his country.

In the form of Bishop Gastaldi being instigated (or so) by Randall, he feared Paredes and hung on him, his deputy captain.

He saw this as a good opportunity for birth.

(If I'm going to gain a place in the Order, I have to achieve results in this battle. That commander, Ogburn, and his staff, Arklight, expect nothing more from us than that. But if you take full charge of it, the bishop will surely appreciate it. I don't know why, but the bishop looks like he's putting his shoulder in that staff member named Arklight... in any case, a good opportunity for me to finally come around! We have to survive, showing good things at all costs......)

With that in mind, he whips the horse and accelerates even further.

About five hundred meters in front of the main unit, the Holy Knights penetrate the enemy. I can see the head of the Demon Army, but not the giant look of an orga, only a demon the size of an orc-like 2m.

(Is the big guy behind you... I don't know what else to do. Kick the oak, enter all enemies, and exit north. If I survive this, my assessment should be rock stuff......)

"We'll shoot the arrow of light! Spell chanting begins!

The Sacred Knights on horseback cast spells simultaneously at his command.

In about thirty seconds, we'll capture the orc in range chasing the scouts without forming a line.

He shouts "... Arrow of Light (Shining Arrow)!" and emits an arrow of light from his right hand. A golden arrow of light stabs the oak's chest as it runs toward him. The running oak hit harder and fell.

When he saw it and nodded satisfactorily, he immediately said, "Fire in sequence!," he ordered, replacing the spear in his left hand with his right hand, and thrust it into the herd of oaks.

Ray was looking calmly at the battle of the Saints.

(I feel that the smell is higher than I thought. Captain Paredes would be surprised, but he's probably a man named Fortunato. Nevertheless, those who are fighting in the lead are quite skillful. The Holy Knight also has some seriously trained people...)

The figure of the Holy Knights thrusting in the Walking Canter was so sharp and funny that the adventurers waiting in the defense fell in love with the figure.

When a golden arrow of light is emitted from the arms of the leading knight just in front of the enemy, it signals, and the arrow of light falls like rain on a flock of enemy orcs.

About ten orcs fell and where the enemy formation collapsed, the Saints strutted forward with spears.

The Orc of the Devil's Army's avant-garde is roughly five hundred.

Originally, the avant-garde of the Demonic Army was a flock of goblins who were following the scouts, but the oaks were avant-garde because they stepped forward by leaving the woods. This was not the intention of the enemy commander, Olvo Kronvar, but because the Middle-Ghost tribe protruded in defiance of orders.

For that reason, the orcs were not dense enough to be called lined up, they were just running in groups.

An arrow of light pours down into that defenseless formation, and a hole opens.

The heavily armed Holy Knights mounted their horseback assault "Charges" with mounted spears to widen their holes.

The orcs also came here, trying to counter the Saints, but only carrying weapons about a stick, so they are defeated one after the other.

(I knew heavy cavalry was powerful. No, there's a magical attack, so are you close to a dragon cavalry? All I have to do is look at the timing and get out of here...)

When Ray thinks so, the Saints thrust through a herd of orcs and cut deeper into the Demon Army.

The vice captain of the Holy Knights, Fortunato, abandoned the original operation to exit north after defeating several oaks.

More than he thought, the orcs were scattered, so he turned it into an operation aimed at the enemy's center.

(There are oaks with different gear behind the herd of oaks. Perhaps they are the Middle-Ghost. Then I will take advantage of this momentum and let the Demons blow a bubble. If we get this far, we should be allowed to work)

He shows the way forward for the Saints in his own actions.

In an attempt to break through the front row of the enemy, he shook his horse's head to the right. But the decision was a failure.

The commander of the Middle-Ghost tribe, Vaino Budosco, saw more than ten orcs being killed unnecessarily and heavily, ordering the manipulators (Tamer) under his command to hit the orcs on horses.

On that order, the orcs hit horses walking through their own flesh. One or two could have blown it off with the weight and thrust of the horse, but the speed slowed down and the horse exhausted as the orcs of more than an adult male size bumped into each other many times.

Here Fortunato also gave up attacking the Middle-Ghost Clan.

(Did you turn the oak into a wall of meat... now it's impossible to force a breakthrough. I just have to leave, but isn't it going to be easy......)

In the meantime, the oak jumps on the Saint Knight, whose speed has also fallen, pulling down every horse.

Fortunato, by his extraordinary equestrian skill, had cleverly swept through the walls of oak meat, but the other Saints had no skill in it, sinking into the herd of oak.

Fortunato broke through the thick oak walls, causing the horse to run further and take a distance. Looking back with a rough breath, all he saw was a worn out dozen horsemen of holy knights.

Fortunato was nevertheless satisfied with this result.

(Purpose accomplished. The damage is immense, but their death is a venerable martyr to the teachings. All we have to do is pull our enemies in front of our allies...)

Vaino of the Middle-Ghost tribe was attacked by enemy cavalry and had blood on his head.

(I didn't know you could do it for just about a hundred cavalry! Doesn't it look like the decision that forced me to go out into the avant-garde was a mistake as it is! As it is, Orvo will look down on me again. At any rate, the Middle-Ghost must lead this battle to victory...)

He was confronted by Olvo Kronvar of the Great Ghost Nation. The age is slightly younger in Vaino, but together they hit the top warlords in the tribe. For this reason, the two were often compared, but the adult Orvo was more highly regarded, and Vaino had more of a rivalry than he had to.

Vaino, who is actually susceptible to blood among the Middle-Ghost tribe, underrated, and there was criticism of this action, which runs counter to the life of Commander-in-Chief Orvo.

(Nothing to worry about. Almost wiped out the enemy's main cavalry. And then if you destroy the enemy's main unit and go straight into the city, no one can complain......)

Vaino thought so and ordered the wounded Saints to be pursued.

Orvo Kronvar, Western dispatched army commander of the Demonic Nation, was bitter about the Medium Ghost's disregard of orders.

(Vaino's monopoly is superfluous. When you get back to Sokius - east of the Aquila Mountains, the way the demons of Kwaedam Tenebre call you - you have to make the elders of the Middle-Ghost strictly protest. You can punish me for breaking the rules.)

Though I thought so, I was satisfied that I was able to almost annihilate the enemy cavalry forces.

(I have worn out some oak, but to this extent it is acceptable enough. If Vaino protrudes and enters the city, it's your hand to ride it. If you believe in information, the enemy in front of you is almost the entire army. There is no excess power to use for ambushes. Then you can push like a ghost...)

He ordered the entire army to follow the Middle-Ghost Troop.
