Lesson 19: The Invisible Killer

Tria calendar year 3026, the morning of January 29.

The Rays celebrated their morning in the wilderness named Desperationis.

Safe for a dangerous evening, where the captives of the Little Ghost Clan, Darvé, were taken by surprise.

Darvé slowly falls down as he spits out his blood.

Looks like he was attacked with a sword-shaped weapon, with dull silver metal popping out of his chest about thirty cm (semel). But there's no shadow behind him.

The moment Darvé erupts his blood, the Unos pull out their swords simultaneously, alerting their surroundings, but they can't even feel a sign that they are first-rate intermediaries.

That's when Stella said, "Oh, give me that!," he raised his dismay, pointing to Derve.

The sword protruding from Derve's body was slowly reshaping. The pointy tip curves and slowly changes its shape as if it were a melting candle, then enters the Darvé's body one by one.

Ray stands vigilant with his love spear white horn (Albumcorne), but he was familiar with the sight.

(Looks just like the liquid metal android I saw in the movie... is it a slime of liquid metal?

I immediately said, "It's a metal demon! It could hit you from your feet! scream." At the next moment, from Ray's feet, something like a sharp spear pops up, avoiding it, and it hits his thighs.

A hard sound called Khan echoes in the wilderness. Plus Ashley and Stella's "" Dear Ray! "" The voices were covered, and the unos were throwing swords at the metal hangings that popped up.

Ray said, "Wow!" Though he screamed, his armor, his snow coat (Nixwestis) cut it off, and there was no other damage than the shock.

The metal demon quickly disappeared to blend into the ground.

Ray hangs his hand to hang the healing magic on Derve with vigilance, but the uno he was checking earlier shakes his neck small, left and right, "I'm already out," he reports.

As Ray was about to sink into disillusionment, Ashley said, "Move around! Stop and you'll be good!," he warned, and began to circle like a circle with his sword in place. The others begin to move, similarly wary of their feet.

While Ray was vigilant around him, he was still taking the fact that Derve was dead seriously.

(Dead manipulated by puppet magic... this is not to be forgiven! Sure, Derve was the enemy, but you can't die like this......)

Stella is afraid of Ray's appearance like that.

(Master Ray regrets the murder of Derve. But now is not the time to repent. Immersing yourself in the thought in this situation is dangerous......)

That's what I thought, "It's dangerous now! Focus on your enemies!," he adds, "in order not to make any further sacrifices".

Ray realized he was trapped in remorse, replied "Roger," and turned his grin.

(Stella's right. Now I have to think about everyone alive...... how can I defeat them if they are metal creatures......)

As we walk around, we work out measures.

In the meantime, my people continue to be attacked one after the other. Even the Unos were completely inevitable, and although it was not the major injuries that sustained them, the scratches gradually increased.

(I don't have time to relax. The enemy is liquid metal... can get into the ground... are you sure you're getting into it? This neighborhood is not sandy. Is it something that penetrates so easily on pretty hard ground?... maybe you are stretching your body thinly and simulating it to the surrounding colors... because there is a way to do it...)

When Ray sums up his thoughts, he immediately gives instructions.

"All of you, get up to the right rock! Then watch the whole ground move! Maybe because you should be stretching your body thinly and simulating it!

Everyone goes up to the rocks simultaneously to Ray's instructions. There were a lot of rocks around here about a mile or two (melt) in size, and there was no shortage in the escape.

Everyone just went up on the rock and gradually began to see who the enemy was. If you observe the ground carefully, you can see things moving slowly, like an elongated cloth mimicking soil and stones.

"Found it! Attack with magic!

Ray stabs the love spear Album Corne to the ground when he yells like that. You sensed that vibration, the metal life slowly turned toward Ray.

(Keep it up...... ok!

And quietly cast a spell.

"God of light (Lucidus), who commands all the light of the world. Gather the holy power of your family, the Spirit of Light, and give me the Spear of the Thunder Emperor, the Thunder. I will not give my life to you at that price..."

The enemy suddenly moved faster to see if he could also feel the power of the Spirit. But Ray's magic activated faster for a moment.

"Burn down my enemies! Thunderbolt!"

At that moment, a thunderous roar echoes around you, and massive amounts of pebbles and sand wind up from the ground.

(If the target is metal, the electricity should go through. If you shoot in my best attack magic, thunder, it should evaporate with heat...)

What Ray imagined was that metal would cause damage to the entire enemy because it was easy to pass through electricity, and that heat would be generated if the current flowed in large quantities.

For him in the literature, it was unknown how effective it would be, but he couldn't come up with any more means of attack.

When the dust subsided, there was a hollow bowl around the spear. There was also a radially white burn.

"You knocked him down!

Ashley's words echo, but Ray checks carefully. And he made sure that silver liquid was dotted on the rock, convinced he had defeated the enemy.

"Looks fine...... wait a minute!

Silver liquid came out of the bowl-shaped hole again.

"He's still here! Don't move from the rocks! I'll try to shoot the magic in again!

That's what Ray screams and casts a magical spell of thunder (without) again. But I noticed something wrong with the movement of the metal life form in front of me.

White cloudy spots floated on the surface of the liquid metal, only halfway through the simulation that was so perfect. That looked like some missing LCD screens.

(No pseudo? Maybe some of the features went wrong with the current blow... if you shoot it in again you should be able to knock it down completely...)

Strike thunder again into the liquid metal that has spilled out. Now a dull roar like a crease sounds from under the ground.

Immediately after that, the ground moved heavily.

Ray said, "Wow!," he screams, tumbling off the rock. Ashley and the others were similarly thrown to the ground.

The faces of the Unos Beastman Slave Squad had landed without falling, and soon began to be vigilant around them.

Suddenly, Ray's falling ground cracks and gradually its crack grows larger.

"Please run away! Master Arklight!" The cry of Uno echoed, but Ray did not have to hear the cry, but desperately stood up and tried to distance himself. However, cracks grow faster and are likely to be dragged into that deep crepus.

Stella quickly took the rope out of her back sac (backpack) and said, "Master Ray!," he shouted his name, throwing in the tip of the rope. Ray soon realizes the intent, grabs the rope, and crawls up desperately. Further, with Stella, Ashley pulled the rope, which allowed Ray to manage to escape the crack.

One hair, spared from being dragged in, was overwhelmed by a giant object that emerged from under the crack.

In front of them appeared a giant, silver-shiny sea urchin or a mollusc like a cow. Its size was superior to ten m (melt) and its height had reached three m (melt).

The part that hits the face has silver eyeballs, like plated at the tip of a yurayura tentacle, whose cold eyes capture them and don't let them go.

"This is the main body! Maybe the sword won't work! I'll put magic on the spear. Cover me!

From that giant emerges a few tentacles, as they become like whips, attacking. However, the attack speed was slower than I thought, and their skill would have avoided it enough.

Ashley could do nothing but restrain herself and was regretting it, but as a mercenary she was calmly observing her enemies.

(Something's wrong with the surface movement. The color of the surface has changed abnormally too... maybe the attack on Ray earlier made me feel strange... plus it feels like I haven't seen eye movements other than Ray... I think I can slash that eye part off...)

Ashley decides so, "Stella! Aim for your eyes! Lord Uno, slash your tentacles off!," he exclaims, slashing himself, aiming at Yurayura's moving eyes.

Her sword hits the tentacles that support her eyes. I expected it wouldn't feel stiff, but it wasn't more responsive than I thought, and it felt like I was slashing mud.

Though it was a strange response, the tentacles had been slashed clean off. After Ashley wields his sword out, his tentacles fall to the ground making a noise called Dosari.

Next door, Stella had similarly slashed off her eyes, and the metal life was shaking her body greatly by losing her sight.

In the meantime, the Unos also slash and tear their tentacles one after the other. Unlike the tentacles of the eyes, a hard metal sound called "Khan” sounded from time to time. On a good look, there was something about the tentacles changing like swords, and when they hit that blade area, they seemed to be turning up metal.

Metallic life forms swallow the rays to a large extent.

Ray's "Everybody back off!" The voice echoes in the wilderness. Ray's spear glowed orange, and the next moment, he was sucked into the center of the metal life form.

Metallic life forms cramped violently, without raising the amputee. More than ten tons of likely bodies slap hard on the ground.

Ray quickly pulled the spear and took the distance at once.

"You did it!" I hear Ashley, "but Ray keeps his eyes open from the enemy, putting up a spear firmly.

Batambatan and the ground were beating as the metal life twirled his body for about a minute, but gradually the force weakened, stopping the movement in a very slight way at the end.

We stopped moving completely, but the Rays didn't try to get anybody close. Because I had never seen or heard of such demons and could be faking death.

Two or three minutes later, the demon's body slowly unraveled. It slowly poured out onto the ground like mercury, or like hot metal flowing out of the furnace, and was sucked into the cracks that appeared.

"You could have knocked him down..." Ray was whining as he watched. But neither Ashley nor Stella would answer the question, and he watched quietly.

When all the liquid metal was sucked into the crack, the ground was painted in silver with demonic shapes. Furthermore, a large gold crystal stone about seven cm (semel) in diameter had been rolled.

Ashley picks up that magic crystal stone carefully and hands it to Ray by saying, "That's second-degree equivalent... metallic?"

"Have you ever heard that Ash has such a demon..."

"I don't know. How's Stella? Where are the Unos?

Everyone shakes their necks beside Ashley's question. Ray confirms with Rauli, the prisoner of the Little Ghost clan, but he says he doesn't know either.

Nobody knew, but this demon was the one who burned his hands the most two thousand years ago when the Demons entered the land from the west. At the time, he couldn't even see his opponent, he was called the Invisible (Invisible) Killer (Murder), and suddenly he was perceived as a demon sticking a sword out of the ground.

He was such a nasty enemy that he could not even defeat the great ghost tribe, the demon tribe, who was good at magic, and was told that if this demon attacked him, he would have to flee.

This time, Ray used the magic of Thunder "Gone", but this had an unexpected effect. This demon known as the "Invisible Killer” had a metal body and was therefore resistant to heat and cold air. Further, the body was hidden in the deep ground, and even if the tentacles were slashed and torn, the liquid body could easily be undone, so little damage could be done.

Fortunately, Ray had the image of a movie and didn't choose the offense of slashing it, but if he did, it would have had little effect.

This trait haunted the demons. Although some demons use fire and wind attributes, they are basically a species that is good at dark attributes. As a result, few people could use the light attribute, which is an anti-attribute of darkness.

Even if I were there, Ray's Thunder "Kazuchi" was not usable because it was original magic, but because the attribute that still worked best was "Light”, the Demon Clan could not make an effective attack either.

The unfortunate fortune for the Rays was that they weren't attacked in bed. If you are attacked with your body lying on the ground, you will almost certainly be mortally injured. With the demons approaching in the morning, it can also be said that it was done at the expense of one Derve.

I went into the wilderness and lost my first companion after four days.

Ray had no choice but to regret that his own choice had resulted in a victim.

(My choice killed Derve... I knew this wilderness was dangerous, but I didn't know there would be victims so soon... how many sacrifices ahead...)

Ashley knew what Ray was thinking.

"It's not your fault. Don't think about it now. You have me. Stella, Lord Uno... rescue Luna or the world will perish. Now think about it..."

That's what I say and I hug you hard.

Ray says, "Thanks...... right" and looks up.

And when I bowed my head loudly toward Derve's body, I said, "Shall we leave? Not yet, because it's not out of danger," he said and started walking.
