Trinitas Mundus

Episode XXII: The Secret of the Trinitus World (later)

Ray met an observer in the dream corridor. The story of an observer who has been watching this world for over fifty thousand years was astonishing.

The civilization that the observer named "First Civilization” was a flourishing civilization over 30,000 years ago. There is no such magic as it is in today's world, it is an extremely developed mechanical civilization, and people grew. And finally, he began to reach out to the realm of God. Initially it was a slow one, but every time I tried to challenge the gods, my faith slowly diminishes.

"As I said earlier, the world collapse program of the godless Vanitas was very smart. The source of the power of the gods is the faith of men. The source of that power was slowly but surely shredded and even turned into its own... '

The faith of the Nothingness God began with a decline in faith in the gods. The trigger was an idea.

"The Nothingness God brought in an idea from your world"

Ray said, "Is that an idea?," he murmurs.

'Yes, “thoughts." Until then the idea of denying “value”, that is to say denying material civilization and making spiritual civilization supreme, had begun… at first it was only a small twist… But the idea of denying material civilization and making spiritual civilization supreme in an extremely developed mechanical civilization was uncomfortably accepted by those dissatisfied with the status quo…'

To Ray's thought, "I'm not going to be dissatisfied," the observer replied, "There's always someone in the world who's most dissatisfied," and went on to talk about it further.

"... and finally, a people were born who challenged God, that is, who sublimated the present civilization and tried to transcend God as well..."

"Sublimating civilization... you mean you went further up, right? I don't think that's a bad thing."

The observer said, 'They said they were “sublime," but in fact they were nothing but the “destruction” of civilization. Hit only your thoughts without meaning into a world made up of subtle harmony... they called this a further creation of civilization...' answered Ray's question.

'That's not all. Conversely, people more dependent on God than ever were born... this was the beginning of the confusion...'

"Two thoughts… is that all the world is destroyed"

An image of affirmation is sent to Ray's inquiry.

'Those who believe in two ideas were good. But not all people believed in one or the other. Most people were worried and flirting about which to believe... and that was what was going to make people lose faith in God. And the instant way of life became commonplace and began to deny beautiful harmony… I call that era an “era of chaos”. In times of chaos all harmony was denied, and the values that were with the gods were completely destroyed. As a result, in only a millennium, the First Civilization collapsed… In doing so, gods other than the Creator lost their existence, and the Nothingness God also disappeared at some point…'

Ray continued to listen to the story as he lost his word.

"... over 10,000 years, the Creator God rebuilt the world. The task was slow, but truly beautiful... the Three Lord God and the Eight Class God appear, regenerating the world. Firstly, it began to rebuild the earth, creating the sky, the sea, the forest… and life… '

Ray leaks the grunt, "Myth or Biblical Genesis," but the observer simply sends an image of his overarching endorsement of it and continues the story.

"... with the resurrection of the gods came a civilization called the Second Civilization. Initially, from the lesson of diminishing faith through the development of mechanical civilization, the gods planned a" spiritual civilization ”centered on“ magic ”based on the power of eight-attribute God. It took twenty thousand years to develop slowly, but surely… The gods sought to maintain their faith by a special immortal race“ divine man ", taking the failure of the First Civilization as a lesson. The gods spread“ magic... "

Ray was slightly uncomfortable when he heard that the spread of magic would lead to the maintenance of faith.

"I do utter the names of the gods when I cast a spell, but does that only raise my faith mind?

To his question: 'If convenient magic is spread, people's lives will improve. People wish to improve their own lives and use magic. You should pray to the gods to use mana more efficiently. People revered the gods for their own ends. It was also the strategy of the gods'

Ray was convinced that the word "mana” was the same as the "power of the Spirit".

(I seriously believe because it is in your interest. In a way, it's a win-win relationship, but what about that as a religion?

To his thoughts, 'I'm not sure about that neighborhood either. But there was just no doubt that the method was working'.

So Ray realized that the word now was in its past form. And it reminds me that the second civilization is doomed. But I didn't say anything in particular and waited for the observer to talk.

'Let's keep talking. It did work. But the invasion of Vanitas, the godless, had begun quietly. About 4,500 years ago, an “engineer” sent by the godless brought the "machine” into this world... "

Ray was surprised by the word that he was sent in, "The engineer who was sent in? Are you saying that someone came from another world just like me!" He was screaming unexpectedly, even though his emotions were suppressed. I was struck by the fact that there were other people sent in besides myself and Luna.

The observer never gets angry that he's broken his hip, and "Exactly."

"The Nothingness God sent the men of your world into this world. The gods also realized the fact and monitored the technician, but he took no action hostile to the gods. The man just thought about living quietly, working for the godless, and taking no action that would destroy the world. For this reason, the gods did not intervene more than surveillance. But that was a mistake. The technologist was creating the foundation for" magic engineering "that combines“ magic ”with“ machinery "..."

The sudden words that came out of nowhere said, "Magic Engineering... are you talking about magic props?," he questioned.

To Ray's question, 'It's a demonic prop, but it's very different from the demonic prop you know. One way or another, you can think of it as a developed piece of machinery in your world,' he replied.

"Magic engineering was a breakthrough driven by“ mana ”. As long as the gods exist, they are a source of energy that is created everywhere in the world and even more inexhaustibly. And the basic idea of the system is the same as“ magic, "and instantly people developed magic engineering into a mechanical civilization of the first civilization. After that, it was very similar to the time of the collapse of the First Civilization. The use of mana by machines does not bring faith in the gods. The gods tried to stop the decline of faith, but it was a futile scratch. When the power of the gods began to diminish, Vanitas began to invade again. It's also a means of“ altering information "… '

Ray said, "Is it an information alteration?" and lean his neck.

"Yes, it's a change of information. Mana was used for all equipment. And where faith in the gods had fallen, they used mana and altered information. Mana is also in the body. As it degenerated, people fell into the hands of the godless... the information alteration engulfed the world in“ chaos ”and the second civilization collapsed at once... the godless again tried to destroy the world in a unique way... '

So Ray came to a certain question.

"It took over 10,000 years for the world to be rebuilt after the destruction of the First Civilization, didn't it? But even though the second civilization perished about four thousand and five hundred years ago, now there is a world. Why is that?

While sending cheerful thoughts to say that the observer noticed well,

"Civilization collapsed four thousand years ago, but the world did not perish. The gods were also striking their hands right after they perceived the faith of the godless."

"What kind of hand did you hit," Ray was wondering, putting in his mouth.

"The gods themselves accelerated the collapse of the second civilization, isolating contaminated areas."

"I accelerated the collapse..." Ray muttered unexpectedly to words he hadn't thought of.

"If Carrier, the mediator of information pollution, is Mana, you can destroy once and for all a civilization that relies extremely on Mana. We thought we could save the world by transforming it into a world where we only use safe mana... '

When Ray was out of line, observers had rarely asked questions.

"Have you ever thought the magic of this world was incomplete?"

Ray doesn't know the intent of the question and is silent.

"Have you ever questioned the fact that very few people can use magic, the power of the gods? Have you ever questioned the fact that few people can use all eight attributes?

Ray nods, "Yes," and asks back, "But isn't that a matter of talent?"

"For the gods to maintain their own power, it is effective to make them use magic. Even so, few can use magic. If few more attributes can be used, convenience falls. Have you ever felt it? [M] how convenient it is to have multiple attributes. '

That's what they asked me in a tone that seemed cheerful, and Ray had to say "sure".

(I've certainly never seen anyone use item boxes or cleansing magic other than me. Ash's story says it's legendary magic...)

"The gods stopped using magic for their faith heart, which is the root of their own power. I thought the power could be maintained with a more moderate faith. No, I thought we should limit our power to the point of being used by the godless. '

Ray learns the thoughts of the gods and is disillusioned.

(If we keep our faith to gain strength and find out it will be used by our enemies, we limit it. What do people in this world live for... I would too if I said that...)

"After limiting his power, he sealed a polluted world in need of disposal. Here, in the wilderness of despair '

'Yes, this is the cemetery of the Second Civilization,' Ray added as he was out of line.

"This is the end of a world contaminated by the godless Vanitas. In other words, the Three Lord God and the Eight Class God and the place where the power of the Nothingness God antagonizes... '

"The end of a polluted world..." Ray mutters. Without responding to it, the observer has told us: 'Earlier, only a few places here can prevent the interference of the gods in a delicate balance…'. Ray asks, "Do you mean you can prevent a" fix ”from the gods as well," sending an image that feels like you've done well with 'right'.

'The interference I made wasn't that strong. It only conveyed the intentions of the gods to the survival of the second civilization. As against you now.'

"Is that all?" "Ray mutters.

'That's all. I didn't mean to be hostile to the gods either. But I wanted to see what would happen to this situation. How will my presence or absence of interference affect the world? What action will be taken by those who know the intentions of the gods......'

Ray was slightly angry at the way he said it.

"So, aren't you an experimental animal? Do that to the living..."

The observer does not evil, he says, 'What is wrong with that?' and laughs, 'I think you are doing the same thing in your world.'

(There is certainly a commonplace in the twenty-first century to ignore human rights... so say...)

The observer said, 'This story is not the main story,'

"In fact, the moment I interfered in the world, the gods hung on to get rid of me. If I hadn't stumbled upon this place, the gods would have ruled me out of this world '

"Is it okay here? But doesn't the fact that the gods aren't coming to eliminate mean you can't leave, either?," he questioned.

'If you just want to watch it, you can watch it anywhere in this world. Whether in the sealed realm of the godless or on a continent renounced by the gods'

Ray said, "A continent renounced by the gods?" He said, 'Do you know the name of this continent? "he asked the other way around.

Ray has somehow figured out the behavioral pattern of being what he calls this observer.

(You feel like you're starving to talk. I feel like the story keeps coming off......)

'That may indeed be the case. I'm interested in the existence of you from another world, the place on which this world was founded. "

Ray did the trick of flattering his shoulders and responded, "Here's an earlier question, I hear it's called the Tria Continent".

"Tria…" tri ”means“ three ”. I mean, this is going to be the Third Continent. '

"Is it a third continent… that means there are first and second"

The observer said 'Exactly' and then said 'Let's change our tastes a little' and suddenly the landscape appeared in front of Ray. It felt 3D like an elaborate 3D image, as if it was standing on the spot.

Ray's eyes showed a desolate earth with no grass, no trees, not even the movement of the wind, and the dusk stained landscape seemed convincing to be said to be a lunar surface without craters.

"This is what was called the First Continent, the Patria Continent. The protection of the heavenly God (Caerm) and the earthly God (Mons) remains barely, but the protection of the eight-class God is lost. There is no grass, no wind, no grace of light, no peace of darkness. Time will stop, and if the gods do not give shelter, they will not move forever. I call it Eternal Dusk.

Ray thought that was exactly right.

(Neither darkness nor the image of “death”. Sure, I'm not alive, but “death” is the opposite of “life”. But there's no life or death here... I just feel like I'm stopping moving forever...)

I answer to Ray's emotions, 'Exactly,' but he has quickly changed the subject.

'Earlier, this is how I can watch it. So this land, where the gods do not seek to eliminate me, is also the perfect place to observe. You got lost there by chance. [M] I wanted to take this opportunity to gain your knowledge. "

"Get my knowledge?

'Talking to you in this place means talking to your soul. In other words, I can peek into your memory... because of you, my hypothesis has proven to be quite correct.'

Ray was offended for a moment by the fact that he was being peeked into his memory, but without any particular harm, and even the properties of this place, which stabilizes his spirit, worked, quickly giving up on his face.

"Well fine...... is that what you just figured out?

I get the feeling that the question is out of my mind.

'It is also true that there are many parts that have been confirmed by looking at your memory. But when I had a conversation with you, I came to a conclusion. Of course, hypothetically, there are people in this world who were sent from the world you were in. I would have thought if I'd seen what they did.'

I felt a little human odor in the way the excuse was stained.

"It was an unreserved story, but is there anything you want to ask me? To the best of my knowledge, I'll tell you.

Ray immediately asked, "Why did I come here? Why, too, Mr. Tsukiya?" I asked straight what I most wanted to know.

The observer replies, 'In a nutshell, for the survival of the world' and goes on to say even more.

"The Three Lord God and the Eight Attributes God are trying to stop the invasion of the Nothingness God. To keep this world from collapsing. You are the key to this. [M] The Three Gods have called you."

"I'm not sure if they say so," Ray shook his neck to the side and said, "What should I do? Perhaps you can listen to the gods even if they tell you to save the world......"

The observer said, 'I don't know exactly what the Three Lord Gods are going to do or what they are going to let you do...' But then add: 'We know that we consider the present situation to be a critical one'.

"Is the situation critical now? Is it caused by the Great Invasion of the Demons?

The observer said, 'It is not. It's not such a small story,' he said.

"The Demons are also only family members who believe in the Dark God (Noctis)... The problem is that the fact that the Nothingness God, Vanitas, is intervening is obvious... The Nothingness God has succeeded twice, even if I only know. Using what you brought in from your world... and the ideas you brought in are still trying to disrupt the harmony of the world... '

What the observer then said was that phototheism began with the person sent by the godless, that the idea of monotheism was causing the equilibrium of power of the gods to be lost.

'... that is, the Nothingness God is trying to reverse the faith of those whom the gods desire and to crumble this world, which is made up of a beautiful balance...'

Ray had lost his word.

(If indeed this man's story is true, if only the God of Light (Lucidus) is believed, the power of the other gods will fall. It wouldn't be strange if the world collapsed... but can you prevent that from happening to me? I still can't even help Mr. Tsukiya...)

When Ray was lost in thought, he said, 'Sounds like it's time. I enjoyed my time with you,' rarely gives me a peek at my emotions.

Ray still had a lot to ask, but when he left this dream corridor, he remembered to forget and didn't try to force himself to ask.

"I seem to forget about here, but mine was more fun too. Bye."

The moment I said that, Ray woke up.

Looking up at the sky, the night sky was starting to whiten. Ashley, lying next to him, noticed Ray's move, "It's still early. Sleep a little more," he said.

He only answers, "Yeah," but at that time, I was thinking of something else.

(I think I had some amazing dreams... something I shouldn't forget... what was it?

Though I think so, I was immediately attacked by a sleeper and fell asleep again. But I never walked into the dream corridor again.
