Lesson 33: Confrontation

The morning of February 23rd.

The meeting between Luna and the Moon Witch (...) Elise Nortia was about to begin in Zaleshe, the capital of the Ghost Nation.

The location is the Great Hall on the top floor of the Grand Government Office. It was formerly the meeting place of the Council of Chiefs, but it is now the office of Luna.

Luna wears a pitch-black dress and sits in a relaxed chair. Behind her, besides Talvo Kronvar of the Great Ghost tribe, the head of the Council of Chiefs, the male of the Little Ghost tribe, Solm Sommeryoki and other key chiefs refrained.

Ealis, on the other hand, had traveled in a hurry, wrapping fur coats for cold protection on top and bottom of leather, and he did not deserve the priesthood of witch.

Luna saw what Elise looked like and, although impressed by its beauty, felt unable to afford not even getting fit.

(You're a really pretty person. This man is so much better at God's use. But you don't seem to have much room. I think Mr. Ashley was more prestigious...)

For the first time, Elise was slightly overwhelmed by seeing the son of the moon. Because she was close to the queen in a country called Sochius, and even if she could be Fu, she would never be Fu. The Son of the Moon, the current god of God of Darkness (Noctis), "Alamin", was also superior to her, and she was confused about how to respond.

One more reason why the spirits of darkness gathered only in Luna and were perplexed not to show interest in her. The Spirit of Darkness was bringing her spiritual stability, but losing it is causing her to lose room in her heart.

(This is just your child. There are no dark spirits flying around me that much all the time. But I don't know how to talk about it...)

Luna spoke quietly when she saw a look similar to that fright.

"What can I do for you today? I told Varma you weren't willing to trust the Moon Demons?

Compared to Elis, Luna could afford more than usual. He was asking questions in such a tone that he spoke to those below, like the samurai and escorts, without being distracted by the manner in which Elise's beautiful appearance and nobility seeped out. Besides, it was unconscious behavior.

I have full control of the ghost tribe in the last ten days, but I have always spoken respectfully to Tarvo and other chiefs, and never asked in a tone like this one.

Elise bows gracefully, under pressure, saying, "I am in the supreme joy that I have been able to worship your son".

"This time I came to ask your son to come to Luberna. Luberna has the Great Temple of Darkness..."

That's all we talked about, and Luna blocks it when she says, "Wait a minute."

"Are you going to take me to sacrifice? You don't know what you're gonna do, but don't take it personally."

Ehlis, who had never been blocked from speaking, blushes with surprise and shame, but immediately stated his apology, "I'm sorry," he said.

"I will explain the ritual, that this belongs to the secret of the Temple of Darkness. I'm sorry, but I can only tell your child. As soon as you pay me, I'll explain."

Elise urged the ghost sheikhs to take their seats off.

"Let's have it wait. We do not trust the Moon Demons. You can't inadvertently bring someone close to you who doesn't know what to do with your son," Tarvo says of his rejection. He nodded loudly to agree with him, although the other chiefs would not speak because of the fact that they were before his son.

Elise tried not to break her grin, suppressing herself that she was about to tongue,

"We will not harm your son."

Luna was looking at the situation and wondering what to do.

(You can ask about the ritual, but from what I've heard, it doesn't change anything dangerous. I don't even need to think about whether I believe in this man or you. But it should be better to say no after hearing it rather than rejecting it here. Maybe other Winged Demons can be drawn to the side too......)

Luna decided to go into battle. By swallowing Elise's demands and talking one-on-one, he thought of showing the magnitude of God's use.

"I understand," he answers, "I won't be" from Talvo, and Solm also opposes "Don't believe in the Moon Demons". But Luna smiled and nodded at it,

"I can't have a room with a window. Because I'm not going to be abducted by you. If it's a condition that all the ghosts defend around the room, I'll ask you. This would be nice, wouldn't it, Lord Talvo?

Elis argues, "I will not do that," but still Tarvo argues,

"It is dangerous to insult the Moon Demons," he further objected.

"I am the son of the moon. No matter how good the Moon Witch was, the Dark Spirits should be able to protect her. Still can't?

"But......" Tarvo said, but felt her resolve was firm and presented a compromise.

"Then how about in the basement? It's not the right place for your son to meet, but there, even the Moon Demons won't escape easily."

"I don't mind. How's Mr. Ealis? Shaking," Ellis also had to answer, "There is no difference".

The Grand Council basement is just a shady place with a vault and a prison. Even in the middle of winter, the humidity is high, and there is an unpleasant odor that stinks when the temperature is low.

Tarvo's instructions bring in chairs and lighted magic props, drinks, etc., allowing for an extraordinary meeting place.

"Now let me talk to you two, me and Mr. Ehlis. I think it's okay, but don't get too close. Because they might use dark attribute magic."

To Luna's words, Tarvo and the others poked one knee in the head and agreed, "If anything, I'll rush you right over. Don't forget we're here," he said, leaving the basement.

Luna sits in her chair unconstitutionally and says, "Why don't you sit down, too?,"

"You're gonna tell me about something called a ritual that used me, right?" and showed him how to tilt his little neck.

Elise nods small and sits in the other chair.

"I have something to say before you tell me about the ritual. Thousands of people died in the war you started. Doesn't it hurt your heart to kill so many people? Or don't you Moon Demons feel it because they're demons, not people?

Those who know the old Luna throw so hard words that they doubt their eyes. Ealis, though slightly cursory,

"To bring peace to the world. If it is the sacrifice I need to make for it, I will not hesitate, even if it is my life," he replied, staring directly into Luna's eyes.

Luna glanced at him so that he could put force into his eyes, but immediately laughed furiously and replied only, "Yes."

"Then tell me about the ritual. Do the truth without covering it up. You'd notice, but the Spirit of Darkness is on my side. Because if you do anything against me, you'll soon find out."

Without answering that, Ellis just said, "Okay, I'll explain" and started talking.

"I'll start by explaining what“ Son of the Moon ”is. The child of the moon is said to be the use of the Dark God (Noctis), but the facts are slightly different. The Son of the Moon is the passing of the Dark God (Noctis) into this world, and I refer to him who has descended into this world to Noctis, the God who brings peace to his heart, to correct this messy world."

Luna groaned, "You're God's stopover..."

"You mean I'm God's vessel. So you have no physical impediments, but you can't guarantee your soul."

"No. In inheritance, even when you say descent, you just embody the power of God. It is assumed that there is no direct entry into a person's body because the existence of God is mighty," Elise immediately denied.

"But wouldn't it be the same if we embraced God's power? Besides, if you accept such great power, everyone will know that you will no longer be yourself. I wish people like you believed in Noctis, but let me be clear, I don't believe in the gods of this world! I've been manipulated by something called scattered fate."

Elise is frightened by the bold statement that he denies all God. If I hadn't sat in a chair, it would have been a shocking word to take a few steps back.

For in this world, as in the Holy Kingdom of Luke, although there are those who believe in only one pillar of God, not all twelve pillars of God, there was no heretical idea to deny all God. It is said in particular that magic can be used by believing in God, and the idea of denying that familiar God does not even have a bandit who ignores the law.

"Do you deny God... all God... who are you..."

Ellis was feeling a strong fear. The girl in front of me felt more heterogeneous than the demon.

(Is this person really a person? I never thought about denying God... it's horrible...)

Luna didn't realize Ellis' fear.

"I'm Luna. In this world (...) Luna, daughter of Joseph, a hunter in the village of Thysek. You call yourselves sons of the moon, but that's not what I found out," he says coldly.

Many dark spirits dance violently around Luna as she reacts to her emotions.

Sometimes anger, sometimes despair, sometimes wielding fear.

Ellis was confused. Deny the existence of God while showing bonds with the Spirit so strong. It was necessary to pray to God stronger in order to use the power of the Spirit more strongly in the common sense that she had cultivated "Tsukichi".

But the events taking place in front of us totally deny it.

(I don't know... this one does have the power of the Son of the Moon. But something's wrong... think about it. What is happening? What to do......)

Luna stared coldly at Elise with a distressed look on her face.

"Negotiations are broken. The ritual of divine descent is never safe. If I could be no longer me, I would categorically refuse," he pokes.

Ellis didn't answer that and was desperate to think about what was going on.

(Deny God with the power of the Son of the Moon. Something's wrong. I can't let Noctis descend like this...... Ah!

I realized it was there.

(He who profits from interfering with the coming of the Noctis, it is the Black Demons and the West. But only the Black Demons know about this...)

And then I go around thinking about what the Black Demons are up to.

(Fail the ritual of divine descent in the way of the Moon Demons "We". That way the authority of the Moon Demons falls to the ground. Trying to replace it on top of that...... Saul might think that once he fails, he can make himself succeed...... because your son is being manipulated by the Black Devils? It's not magic. Because the magic of darkness does not work against your child. For example, they may be planting knowledge biased against the Black Demons... we need to pull them away from the Black Demons at all costs. You shouldn't be in this city for that. We need to convey the right knowledge......)

Ellis was being flirted with by a non-existent Black Demon tribe. And I start to think the only way to get Luna out of this city is to give her the right knowledge.

"Who did your child ask about the ritual?," Elise asked, narrowing her eyes and intimidating.

Although Luna is bewildered by Elise, whose atmosphere has suddenly changed, she can't say anything about Ray, "Anyone can do it," she mumbles.

"Anyone means that someone has given your child false knowledge," he murmurs, but his voice was low and not to Luna's ear.

Elise looks at the stubborn Luna and changes her mind.

(I can't get him out of this city right now. You're probably staying at a haunted mansion, so... now it's important to keep the haunted people alert)

She gave up convincing Luna and decided to abduct her from her place of stay.

"Okay. You cannot surrender God in disregard of your son's will. So let me wait for temperament. That your son will change his mind."

That's what I said and got up.

I doubt Luna gave up lightly, but I'm convinced she can't ignore her will.

As Luna leaves the basement, Talvo and the others, worried with an anxious face, greet her.

"Are you all right?" Solm asks and looks to his real brother, the spellman Slo. Even Luna's escort Slo confirmed the movement of the Dark Spirit and whispered, "As far as I can tell, it's fine".

When Ellis appears after Luna, tension runs to the Chiefs. But Ellis grinned,

"I see your child's will is stiff. I can't force myself to perform the ritual, so I'm going to wait until you change your mind," he said, leaving the scene.

After dropping her off, Luna warns the sheikhs, "We can't stay alert yet".

"I don't think those people will give up easily. So please don't be alarmed," he says, bowing his head.

Talvo and the others rushed to bow their heads, too, and "I will protect you even if you change your life," all the ghostly tribes on the spot said.
