Lesson 61: Misreconciliation

March 3.

Reconnaissance by the Winged Demons clarified the location of the Ghosts.

The Ghosts go for Luberna, the capital of the Moon Demons, with only about 3,000 elites, and continue to run day and night. During the dawn phase, it was located about 100 km (Kimmel) south of Rowni, which could also be the entrance to Luberna.

"… Proceeding at this pace, I thought tonight, by the time the date changed, we would be entering the Rowni * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * Because it is in the deep woods, we don't know the exact number, but we thought it might be well over 10,000…"

The Rays were in the Great Hall attending a conference against ghosts convened by the moon witch Elise Nortier. There naturally is the figure of Luna, son of the moon, which brings together Varma Niska and other key clerics, spellmen.

He cannot but be surprised by the incredible strength of the ghost tribe and the strong will to regain the Son of the Moon.

(It means we keep running down that mountain road we walked. We would have finally had thirty kimmels a day, more than three times that speed? [M] You want your moon son back by so long...)

After receiving the report, silence dominates the Great Hall.

It was to be assumed that the ghosts only put the elite ahead, but because, like Ray, they are stunned by the unusually fast speed at which the main force travels.

And this fact implied that if persuasion by Luna failed, there would be no time to get non-combatants out.

"You mean my role is important. If you fail, this place will be destroyed."

"It's okay. If you convince me, the ghosts will convince me too. I promise."

Ray's bright voice echoes out of the spot in the bitter air.

"Can I do that? No, I have to," he nods to inspire himself. But the look on the clergy's face was hard.

"So if there's no other report, why don't you decide when you're leaving? We're ready to go, so we can leave whenever we want."

He changed the subject to change this bitter atmosphere.

(It's what I knew, but I guess I'd be anxious. If the atmosphere of Luna (Tsukiya Miyagi) is like at the time of the speech, I'm sure everyone won't be anxious...)

As he imagined, the priests were feeling anxious.

Luna's speech yesterday had exalted her feelings, but because she heard of the imminent army of tens of thousands of angry haunted people and saw reality. Furthermore, the absence of their leaders, Luna and Elise, also increases anxiety.

"Lord Ray is right. There is no Sochius people who do not move their hearts to your son's words. That must have felt like it yesterday, too. Nothing wrong with that."

When Elise said so, the clerics gradually regained their brightness as well.

Varma, who can't accompany him, hasn't broken his hard expression, but he answers his questions while thanking Ray for changing the subject.

"I was wondering if we could leave around 4pm. In the distance, you can arrive in full in less than two hours, because travelling after sundown can cause unexpected trouble. The carriage is full. Your men are going to ask Lord Uno's men. Your child's luggage is already ready."

"So you're free until evening. I haven't seen this city, so I'd like you to let me take a tour of it. Isn't that nice, Lord Ehlis?

"No problem, but I think it would be better if you removed the conspicuous equipment."

Ray nodded loudly at Elis' answer,

"I'm not going to dress like a saint in a city with a great temple of darkness," he laughs, turning even more to the Ashleys.

"Shall we all go out of town together?"

"I don't mind. Stella, is there a problem?," Ashley tells Stella.

"Yes, I don't think there's any particular problem."

Ray nods at Ashley and Stella, turning to Luna.

"Why don't you go out to the city with your patience? I don't think you'd notice if you disguised yourself."

Elise exclaims, "Your son is impatient..." But Luna brightened her expression,

"I want to go, too. I was lost when I entered the city, because I only know what I can see from this temple."

"But there's danger..." Varma says, but Ray talks in a way that controls it.

"With us and Uno, I don't think there's any danger. First, I heard that this city is safe. I'm only worried that Luna will fall apart, but I don't think she'll fall apart if she wears a hooded cape."

Both Elise and Varma knew Ray's thoughts.

I think I get nervous as time approaches, and I'm worried about alleviating that a little bit.

Opposite voices rise from clerics and spellmasters, but that voice disappeared by affirming that if Varma is the power of the Rays, there is no danger in the town.

"Well, I guess I'll ask Mr. Ione to show me around. I think it's just the right thing to do."

So he led the Lunas out of the Great Hall.

The remaining Elise was thinking about Ray.

(He's a really funny guy. Beyond that rugged Aquila, I can care for your nervous child, even though he has the audacity to traverse a desperate wilderness full of danger (Desperationis). Again, you're bound by a deep bond... but there's something about the Black Demons. I have to tell you about this, but now I'm overburdening your child's heart. We just need to talk a little more calm...)

I remembered that Saul Ingvar, the head of the Black Demon Nation, summoned the Demon General Ark Demon. But I thought I'd talk a little more calm so I wouldn't strain Luna any more with my head full about the ghost tribe.

I didn't think there was a Black Devil's Hand in the city, but if it was slightly dangerous, I ordered Varma to strengthen his security.

"Strengthen the security of the city. I don't expect anyone suspicious, but there's something about the Black Demons. If there is anyone suspicious ahead of you, Lord Ray, we will detain you immediately..."

Varma will immediately summon a security officer to convey Ealis' orders.

"This is top secret," he prefaced.

"Your son will stroll the city with patience. Check beforehand to see if there is danger."

The security personnel were on a mission to keep the Son of the Moon safe and tried to be motivated, but it was originally a very safe city and I can't find anything to actually do.

For this reason, he tried to respond by deploying more security personnel to the city than usual. The information that Luna was leaving the city because it was even more informal was daring to lay low.

This caused great confusion.

Around noon, Ray rolled out to the city, accompanied by Ashley, Stella, Luna and Ione.

Of course, they are all disguised as discreet pilgrims, and beside them it appears that the elderly Ione has led the young faithful to come to the temple to worship.

His plan is to stroll around the city for about two hours before returning to the temple and making it in time for his departure at 4 p.m.

They leave the city without anyone blaming them from the back door of the temple.

Around it were the Unos following shady, but Ione had noticed nothing.

"Is there somewhere you want to go?," Ray confirmed to Luna, after a little thought,

"Right. It's lunch time, so I'd like to go somewhere where I can eat. It would be nice to have some of the specialty dishes here."

When Ione hears the words, he thinks, "Is this the specialty dish of Luberna?" She's traveling north of Sochius, but she couldn't think of anything that could be considered a specialty dish of Luberna.

In fact, although there are cafeterias in Luberna, which is also a religious city, there are few stalls or taverns such as those used by travellers as those in ordinary large cities.

In addition, the ingredients themselves are bought from the surrounding villages, so although the quality of the food is good, the flavouring and so on were little different from the surrounding villages.

And she herself, had never been anywhere but on the land around Luberna and had no idea what was a specialty.

"I'm sorry. I can't think of it," he bows his head big with a crying look.

I thought Luna had failed, but without changing her expression, she changed her way of saying it.

"So I wonder if it's like the dining room that people in this city usually go to eat? You just have to look at the menu there and decide."

Ione puts a palliative look on the word.

"So how about where I used to go? Your son, no, it's not like giving Luna a leg..."

Ione isn't used to calling him "Master Luna” yet, or he calls him "Your Son” several times.

"Let's do it there. Mr. Ashley, Stella would love that."

They nod, but say, "Wouldn't you ask me?" and pretend that Ray was obstinate.

"Ugh, I'm sorry. Because Mr. Ashley and the others seemed more trustworthy about food than you. I didn't think I was food bound because of your old image."

Luna was acting to look like a young man floating from around. In fact, I was not anxious to meet the ghost tribe, but I was trying to show it away. Ray feels it somehow, too, and it suits her.

I stroll around the city feeling comfortable.

Through the district where the Great Temple of Darkness is located, inns and shops begin to show themselves. It was made of grey-hung stone, with a dark feeling throughout, but people's voices were bright. Most of their conversations were the subject of yesterday's moon son, and the Rays were feeling somewhat uncomfortable.

(It's not a vibrant city like Periclitle, but it's a beautiful city. There are many polite people living and traveling, and little garbage has fallen. It's not snowing now, but I guess it would be fantastic if it were covered in bright white snow......)

While Luna observed the city to such an extent that it did not become unnatural, she compared the Periclitle she had previously lived in to this city in her heart.

On the way to the dining room, there was a shadow quietly approaching Ray. It ears only to hear him in the uno of the beastly slave.

"The guards are making an examination ahead of us. I'm checking the orb, so I was wondering if I should be bypassed."

When Ray nods, Uno quietly walks away from them.

"It's like we're doing an interrogation ahead of us. You should go somewhere else."

"Oh, that's too bad. Well, maybe we should go somewhere else," Luna replies, "but Ione, familiar with the city, was leaning his neck when he heard it was an examination.

"I can't believe we're doing an interrogation in the city... it's the first time."

Her solitaire enters Ray's ear.

(Apparently Lord Varma or someone has turned their hands concerned about Luna's safety. So it looks like you should get back to the temple early......)

Trouble came first on the back of his mind.

Again, Uno approaches, "The police force approaches. This way," he goes to take the lead. Ray follows Uno by saying to Ashley and the others, "Looks like you should go back to the temple".

I realize Luna has also been arranged to protect herself, but I think about what lies ahead and feel heavier.

(I know it's to protect me, but I'm very tempted to think about what's ahead. Confront Vanitas and if this life continues even if I come back safely, I don't want to come back... I guess I wouldn't mind if I were born royal...)

I never bowled in with the police force at Uno's lead, but it was more of a getaway play than a stroll.

Though we arrived safely at the temple, we had further trouble trying to get inside.

Even the main entrance, which is usually open, was closed, including the back entrance of the temple, and guards stood at all the entrances and exits.

"You can't go back with this. What do you think we should do?

Ashley answered the question with a strange face.

"Wouldn't it be nice if Luna revealed her identity? I just took a stroll through the city. There's nothing back there in the dark, and first of all, I guess I'm going to protect her. Then you have returned safely to the temple, so there will be nothing wrong."

"I think so too. The people here are looking at Mr. Luna, and there's Mr. Ione. Even if the soldiers make noise, wouldn't it fit if Ione, a temple official, explained?"

That's when Ray was optimistic, too. I thought Varma would rush even if there was some noise.

He headed to one of the back doors and tried to get permission to enter the temple with Ione as a negotiator.

"I am Ione, a cleric apprentice. Master Luna, who is here, is the son of the moon. I was out of town with patience, but I just got back. Please open the door immediately."

That's what I say and show the orb, but the guard saw Ione in disguise and started interrogating him because he wasn't dressed the priest deserved.

"Sure, your orb shows clerical apprenticeship, but there's no denying the possibility that you're at the mercy of a ghost tribe. First, I haven't heard that your son has left the temple."

The guards had not been informed of the purpose of this security enhancement, and they assumed that they would control the impending ghost army so that it would not engage in sabotage activities. There was also an assumption that there was no way that someone as important as the son of the moon would go out at this time.

"For once, shall we have them all come to the filling room? So I want you to explain the situation again."

I just talked that far and Luna came forward. And take the hood of the cape.

"I am Luna, son of the moon. I don't really want to take care of it, but I was wondering if you could call Varma. 'Cause as soon as she gets here, we can make sure."

Though he showed his face, the guard, who was only a junior soldier, was not in a place where he could clearly see Luna's face. Also, even when I heard my voice, it was accompanied by exhilaration yesterday and I felt the impression was different.

"We do not have the authority to call Master Varma. Hate to go to the jar earlier, but isn't it because it's dark in the back"

Luna found it annoying but honestly tried to follow. But Ione gets dramatically high on the attitude of the guard.

"Rude! I didn't know your son was going to interrogate you as well as not fulfill what you ordered him to do! Call your boss right away!

In Luberna, the priesthood of the Temple of Darkness is very high. For example, even if it was an apprenticeship, it hits the top of the security personnel.

But it was disastrous that she was a human race. Originally, clerics had many demonic races, such as the Moon Demons and the Wing Demons, and most of the clerics in the Great Temple in particular were demonic. This is also typical of racial discrimination, but as common sense the diagram “Cleric Equal Demons" was imprinted on the people of Luberna. For this reason, the Guardian also mistakenly assumed that Ione was a local cleric, even if he found out that he was a cleric apprentice.

"It's up to you to decide if you want to call your boss. If anyone is suspicious, they are ordered to capture them. He's out loud because he's a cleric, even though he's an apprentice, but if he's going to make any more noise, I'll tie him up."

It was a one-touch situation.

At that time, Ray was secretly asking Stella to call Varma through Uno.

"Contact Mr. Uno with a code. He wants me to call someone who can talk to him. 'Cause if we get any more confusing, we'll get in the way of departure in the evening."

Stella nodded silently, giving instructions to Uno using a code that would soon be passed on to the Beastman Squad.

Ray goes forward without looking at it.

"Sounds like you should go to the filling room. We don't have anything behind us."

That's what he says to persuade Ione, but Ashley was afraid because the orb proving their identity was from the west. However, he decided to follow Ray's words, saying that it was not a good idea to make any more noise on this occasion.

"I wonder if Luna would mind, so. Because soon Lord Varma or someone from the clergy will come."

He was optimistic that Uno would soon bring Varma.

(But you failed. I was going to be a distraction, but I guess it was counterproductive. Well, since Lord Varma will be here soon, is there a problem? I have to tell you not to let this soldier be punished...)

But his thoughts were to come off a lot.
