Lesson 19: Secret Disclosure

The morning of April 23rd.

Ray still suffers from headaches caused by hangovers, but still fit to the extent that he didn't have to put them on his face by the magic of detoxification he hung himself and the medication he got Luna.

Before breakfast he talked to Ashley and Stella about how he and Luna should explain their secrets to the Ryans.

"How far do you think we should go? For once, I think I can trust those two."

"Right, at least Ione won't have a problem because he's convinced Luna. The problem is Ryan."

"I think so too. I think it would be more upsetting if we talked about Luna coming from other worlds because she was depressed just because she was a noble adopted daughter."

Ray nods at the two opinions, too.

"That's normal, isn't it? It's weird not to get upset when you hear that the same party people are actually from another world."

"Sure, but we don't have a choice not to talk. I already heard that at the banquet last night. That's what I was doing."

"I think so, too. I just don't know how far to go..."

"Why don't you leave it to Mr. Luna? I'm sure Luna wouldn't suspect that either, and I think it would be better if Lady Ray told her."

Ashley also agreed with Stella, so Ray decided to leave it to Luna.

Before heading to breakfast, I went to Luna's room and told her about it.

"Right. I think I should talk. I'll talk to Ryan and Ione now. I'm sorry, but I was wondering if you could get Ryan."

Five people gather in the living room of the suite.

Ryan, whose hungover effects have not yet completely disappeared, cannot express his expression. He sits on the couch rubbing his temples.

Ione hears Luna has a story to tell, and he sits with his spine stretched out with a strange face as to whether he is guessing to some extent.

Luna turned to them and cut out, "I need to talk to you about me".

First, head down towards Ryan.

"I'm sorry to keep my mouth shut that I'm the adopted daughter of the Viscount Lockhart family until now. I didn't want too many people to know."

Ryan only answers "Oh" as if he was in trouble about how to answer.

"What we're going to talk about is more important than that, and there's no clapping. I know you've already noticed, but my relationship with Ray is a little different from what I've been telling you..."

Though I cut it out that way, I don't know how to put it into words for a moment, but I never open my mouth.

"Me and Ray aren't people in this world..."

So Ryan hits his foot on the surprising less table and makes the noise of a gutter. Ione, on the other hand, was heard to be the use of God by both of them, and although there were surprises, he showed no great upset.

"To be precise, me and his soul are not from this world, but from another. I've been here eighteen years, he's been here a year. We came to this world from a country called Japan in the world called Earth. So I'm not lying about my hometown..."

Luna talks about her being a Japanese high school student and going to school with her as a classmate, etc.

"... I was born into this world, but all of a sudden, he was in another body. I had no idea it was him at first because he looked completely different from a classmate I knew called Saint Rei... Ryan might remember talking to him alone a while before I was caught."

Ryan nods cocklessly, without opening his mouth.

"He taught me about himself at the Periclitle Inn“ The Nest of the Rough Eagle ”. He himself seemed to have vague memories, didn't know me at first, but he remembered me for a little while. When I heard you talk, I was confused by how different you looked, but while I was talking, I knew it was him I knew."

That's where Ryan opened his mouth for the first time.

"I'm sorry. You can't follow me on my head."

"Right. Normally, I think so. But this is the truth. And I think this is very important."

"Important? You mean Ray's home?"

"I have that too. More importantly, how did he come to this world? I feel more important that way."

So Ashley joins the story.

"I think so, too. Ray came to this world a year ago. And, Luna, you went into a crisis a few months later and with Ray's help you got out of the crisis... I just think there is a will of the gods there..."

"I thought the same thing about Mr. Ashley. A little out of line, but the person who helped me was also a reincarnator. Not only did he help me, he taught me a lot. He taught me a lot about this world, especially that it's completely different from the original world. They taught me other magic and how to fight, but I couldn't do that at all. Now I think he came to this world to help me..."

I smile a little lonely when I say that, staring at the distance as if I recall the old days.

(That guy came to this world to help me. I mean, that guy knew I could give God a mission too... now that I think about it, he helped me so many times I wouldn't screw up. I feel like you were intimate with me for helping the poor kid who killed someone I knew. I'm really a kid. I can't believe I realize it by now...)

That's too much of a head.

Ray is surprised by Luna's words.

(There are other reincarnators besides us!... I guess I had that set up...)

Though I thought about it that way, I kept my mouth shut to listen to Luna.

"... but now you're talking more about Ray than that story. He showed up at a time when I was in crisis. Help me, the son of the moon, who is said to be the use of the Dark God (Noctis). In other words, the gods sent him in to defend this world. That's for sure."

"Does Ray mean God's use too..."

Ryan groans to squeeze out, but Luna goes on to talk with just a small nod.

"If Ray is the one sent to the gods, knowing where the bearer of his body, or someone called Ray Arklight, came from, might tell you something. No, even if I don't know where it came from, I'm thinking it might lead to something."

Ashley nods loudly.

"Do you have a lead on Ray's weaponry? I don't know."

"Right. I want to know too... and maybe there are people out there fighting the godless (Vanitas). Maybe it would be a little easier if we could get our hands on them."

So Luna turns her face to Ione.

"I haven't told Lord Ehlis or Varma about this. You're the only person in Sochius who knows. I wish I could leave you alone in the chest."

Ione was heartily uplifted by the revered Luna revealing her own secret. But without putting it outside, I nodded quietly.

"This thing never leaks out of my mouth. Even if the Witch of the Moon asks you"

Luna says "thank you" and smiles before turning her gaze to Ryan again.

"Now I've told you all my secrets. It's up to you to decide what to do next."

"I don't care what you do or do this. Unless you're annoying, I'll protect you. That doesn't make any difference."

I was upset until then Ryan, but I answered the question immediately and clearly.

"Thank you. Then my story is over. Ray, is there anything from you?

"First of all, I'm surprised there was a reincarnator besides us. What was he like?"

"I'm five years older than I am here, and I'm about the same age as Mr. Ashley. But I hear he was over forty in Japan..."

So I got a lonely look on my face,

"We'll talk about this another time. Because I don't have much time right now."

Though I wondered if Ray had something, I felt it made sense what she said.

"I get it. Well, then my concern is, how do I tell the blacksmiths? Regardless of the five people here, I can't tell how far I can trust them. Plus, I'm assuming they can be trusted, and I'm worried they might have to work with me if I said there's no clapping."

Luna smiles at the question and assures her.

"I don't have to worry about that. Because Mr. Ulrich will believe you in whatever you say."

"But I don't know how far to go"

"Well... I think we should talk about you properly. Then you'll have to say something about me..."

So Ashley joins the story.

"I think I should tell you everything. If Luna is Lockhart, there's no way the Dwarves are gonna do anything to your detriment. Then it seems better to ask for help after everything you've told us."

"You're right about Mr. Ashley. Everyone in the Lockhart family knows I'm from another world. You adopted me on top of that, so if you explain that properly, Mr. Ulrich would definitely convince you."

Ray was listening to the two of them and wondering if I could trust them that much.

(If it does feel like we talked at yesterday's banquet, it doesn't seem like a conspiracy or anything, and I thought of Luna like my real daughter. But I guess that's not what we're talking about. The other guy is Vanitas. Because even Lord Elise, the best user of dark attribute magic, was manipulated)

Stella had spoken before she conveyed the suspicion.

"The opponent is Vanitas. Can I trust you that much?

"It's okay," Luna affirms again.

"Why don't you tell me why? It's about Ray's safety."

Stella listens back with a serious look.

"It's easy. The most valueless species in the world is Dwarf. No matter what happens, I won't betray my friends who pass through alcohol. Even if it is a god, he will always stand up with a hammer in his hand if he does harm to his friends. That's the Dwarf."

Ray initially thought she was joking. But the look was serious and there was no fine dust where I was kidding.

"You won't believe it, but I do. Because it's impossible for any of them to change their values. Mr. Ashley would know that Lockhart territory has been attacked by a large group of undead people. The Lockhart family, along with just three hundred vigilantes, fought over thirteen thousand undead. That's when all the Dwarves rushed their hammers into my hands."

"I know that story. That was about seven years ago, for sure. I'm still rushing out, but I remember my chest getting hot on the Rockhart family's activism and the Dwarves' friendship"

"I know that, too. Wasn't it a book called" The Lions' Kai Song "? I borrowed what Mr. Hazel had once."

Luna nods at Ryan's words.

"Yeah, it's a story in that book. It's a little leggy, but it's mostly true. So Dwarves will never do anything to the detriment of the Lockhart family."

"Even so, the enemy is the evil god Vanitas. Can I really believe it?"

Ray shrugged so small.

"It's okay. Instead, if those people can't believe it, nobody can. As you believe in Mr. Ashley and Mr. Stella, I believe in Mr. Ulrich and the others."

"Right. If you say so much, I believe you too. Besides, if you suspect everyone, you know what they think of the pot. Then I'll tell you everything about me today. But what are you gonna do? I don't think we can talk about Sochius at all costs."

"I'm going to tell you everything, including that. Including what happened at Zirsole."

Ray nodded again, but in his heart he was anxious.

(Can I talk to you about Sokius? This is the frontier of the battle against the Kaum kingdom, the Demons. It's not like Dwarves are fighting the Demons directly, but are you sure it's okay?

After breakfast they crept through the blacksmith guild gates again.

Once in the courtyard, a lot of Dwarves have been packing up since morning, and when you look at Luna, you say, "Yesterday was fun!" or "It's a banquet today!" and so on cheerfully.

(Is it a banquet again today... I just want you to give me a break for going on for two days... and when I remember... uhhhhhh...)

The hangover was almost gone, but just remembering the booze just suffering until earlier makes me nauseous.

Back to back with his thoughts Luna acknowledges well.

"Yes! If you still have time today, please!

Ray and Ryan wandered into the General Headquarters building.

Behind them at some point the Unos Beastman Slave follows. But none of the guild's men question it.

The Dwarves had been told yesterday by Ulrich that they had a light warrior of a well-armed beast man, who, even if known as a beast slave, was Luna's companion, meaning that they had nothing to worry about in particular, and that the officials, although aware of the increase in numbers, did not pry for the Lockhart family's associates.

The buildings were also flooded with dwarves. Because they were interested in Ray's spear and armor and wanted to solve that mystery at any cost.

Ashley takes Stella, Ryan, Ione, and Uno into the assembly room where many parents wait.

They are to hold meetings to take care of weapons and make new ones.

Initially, Uno showed difficulty in missing Ray's escort, but he reconsidered Luna's affirmation that "this is the safest place in the world" and that he himself, the Dwarf blacksmiths, could not harm Ray with Luna.

Ray and Luna headed to the master craftsman's office to explain themselves to Ulrich and other key parents.
