Lesson 21: Reinforcement

April 23rd.

Ashley and the others were surrounded by about thirty Dwarf blacksmiths in the assembly room when Ray and Luna were explaining the situation to the blacksmith guild's master craftsman Ulrich Drexler and others.

"I'll rebuild your armor. Why don't you leave it to Non?"

"I will strike a sword better than Bartel's."

Voices like that hang on Ashley and Stella.

It was the blacksmiths who were unassigned at yesterday's banquet who wanted to be of some use and came to the headquarters in the morning.

Ashley is confused about how to handle it, and ends up dealing with "no, it's" and other things that aren't like her.

Dwarf blacksmiths are said to be top notch in every city, but all of them here have enough arms to be regarded as famous.

Because of this, she, who is usually rigid, was also unable to refuse their proposal unhindered.

Stella, by contrast, had responded calmly.

"This sword is enough for me. Make your swords better than that."

"The armor is Miss Lille's chain shirt from Dear Gaelnote, and no more weight in my way of fighting can only get in the way"

I will say no clearly in that way.

The rational way of thinking, however prestigious for her, was that she had adequate performance even with the current weaponry, and that she did not have to accept any suggestions that would further extend her stay.

Uno and the others get a lot of suggestions, but they say, "Until we obey Lord Arklight's orders," and they don't get any suggestions.

Some of them are one-handed swordsman Johann Wilt, who said, "I'm going to hit you with a short sword with a misrill. That's also a magic sword of three attributes," so many suggestions had been made that other swordsmiths would look jealous and crazy if they saw it.

But they refused without even getting lost with it.

Of those, the most confused was Ryan.

I didn't think my own arm deserved a Dwarf masterpiece, which was unusual for him and atrophic. By then, the blacksmiths had a great presence.

In the end, a relatively young blacksmith named Boris Kaltz, who specializes in Halvard, nominated by Ulrich, was to strike using Als steel, a high-quality steel.

For that reason, Halvard's order, which had accidentally entered Boris' workshop, was cancelled and there was something in some form. And because I found out that was close to Ryan's.

He's a veteran over eighty, even a relatively young blacksmith, and he's one of three hundred parents. Ryan, the owner of an arm that wouldn't be strange if he were a branch manager in another city, was upset that he usually seemed bystanders to have such a parent build his own weapon.

"Give me some kind of weapon... are you sure? I'm still level 28..."

In contrast, Boris said, "You just have to shut him up and make him!" and had a drink,

"If you don't have enough arms, raise your arms! Your arm could be related to Luna's safety!

Even though there is a height difference close to forty cm (semel), Ryan will atrophy. And also from the blacksmiths around.

"If Luna had as many scratches as a hair muscle, I wouldn't allow it!

"Your liver is too small for a big figure! Be magnificent!

Words can be thrown that are not even threatening, for example.

"Okay. I'll protect Luna. I'll try to protect you even if you change your life. Mr. Boris, make me the best Halvard ever!

That's what I say and I bow my head big. Boris then laughed niggardly and slapped his arm against the basin.

"Bye! If you're a man, you need to be willing to protect a woman! Gahahahaha!"

The same laughter comes from around.

Many were looking at Ray's armor and spear with a serious look as such a laugh swirled.

"Is this still that one" or "What's going on with this magic formation? Such a magical formation can't be done with a gauge note".

Ulrich with Ray and Luna came in there. Behind him are also two Gaelnotes and Oigen.

"It's noisy. So, have you decided on a role?"

"Yes, it's all decided this way," one of the officials starts explaining as he shows the documents that he wrote the assignment.

And I was about to say, "It's just that Master Georg has a concern…" and one Dwarf has interrupted the conversation.

"Care of the sword is not enough. I don't think we should reinforce our armor."

"What do you mean, Georg? Ashley and Stella's armor belongs to Gusta. And Stella's got a gayle note chain shirt."

A blacksmith called Georg shook his neck sideways with a flashing look.

"Stella is good. But Ashley's things don't get any better. If you at least reinforce it with a misrill, it's too defenseless against magic. Ryan and Ione, of course."

"I see. Sure, that won't taste good," Gaelnote agrees.

Ray can't keep up with Georg and Gaelnote. I asked Luna, who is lying next to me, a whispered question.

"What do you mean? Undefensible against magic."

"I don't know much about it either, but regular steel seems weak against magic. Especially for dark attribute magic that works for the spirit. So in the village of Rasmore, where I was, I used to stick a misrill like a plating to increase my defense against magic."

I haven't been able to imagine much though I heard it would be plated with misrills.

"Isn't that hard? It doesn't seem very common."

Luna nodded small at his inquiry,

"Right. I heard that you have special skills like Grant Magic and Grant Magic. So he said he couldn't do it without a well-armed Dwarf blacksmith."

Ulrich and the others were in the process of discussing it while the two were talking to each other.

Did the story come together, Ulrich started talking to Luna.

"We're staying for about ten days, but we're not going out of town, are we? Then why don't you leave your armor with Nona?

Luna tried to snort for a moment, but said, "I'll check with Mr. Ashley" and headed under Ashley, who is surrounded by the Dwarves.

Ray follows her as well.

"What Mr Georg and Mr Gaelnote have said is that we should strengthen our defences against magic. So far, I don't think there's been any business outside the city."

"Right...... no plans, but when it comes to magic defense, is that an example way to paste a thin film of misrills? I heard it was a special move that only celebrities could make."

"Yes, it is. But any blacksmith here should be able to do it."

That's where Ray joins the story.

"I should definitely have them do it"

"That being said, it's about the Lockhart family that's officially equipped that one. It's an expensive way for a regular army of the Imperial Army to only use more than a regiment leader."

Ashley's common sense is that thin films of misrills are very expensive because they use precious magic metals, albeit in small quantities, and few even famous adventurers and mercenaries do so. In fact, not even the best mercenary regiment in the Kingdom of Lax, the Marcut Mercenaries (Red Arms), went alone.

"And does it work against the godless (Vanitas)? Even Lord Elise, the user of that dark attribute, could not prevent it."

Ray shakes his neck to the side to Ashley's point.

"That may be true, but if you think about what lies ahead, you should hit the measures at all. Vanitas is not the only enemy. As far as I'm concerned, I asked Luna and Uno for their gear. How much?"

"I agree. When the Lockhart family fought the undead, the soldiers in the armor reinforced by Mithril were not very affected by Vlad. I don't know how powerful Vanitas' sending enemies are, but I think we should do the least we can do."

Ashley nods at the two words too.

"Right. I just don't intend to leave the city, but I want to do the workout. I wish you could lend me some cheap armor."

"I feel harder looking for cheap armor," Luna laughed at the words,

"Could you tell Mr. Uno and the others from Ray? Because you're the only one who can ask those people."

"Roger. Speaking of which, the Unos don't look like they're wearing protective gear, what do you think?

Often the unos just sit on their hips with short swords on top and bottom of the cobbled brown leather, making them look like neither farmers nor merchants. Exactly. He wore leather armor during the Periclitle offensive, but he wasn't usually equipped with armor that inhibited movement and threatened to make noise.

Ray called Uno and confirmed that, "We don't need any protective equipment," he said.

"But I think we should have less defense against magic when we think about what's to come. In the desperate wilderness (Desperationis), the Ghosts were attacking, and I hope something similar happened... sometimes the most misrillic chain shirts didn't work."

In the wilderness of despair, he was also mentally attacked by sounds heard only by beasts, or by nightmares appearing only on women. Even Stella, wearing a Mithrill chain shirt, has not prevented magic, so I thought it would be subtle to see how effective it would be on Vanitas opponents, but still better than doing nothing.

Georg spoke from behind Ray.

"Leave it to Nong La. I'm going to make something a little interesting."

Because he said so confidently and concerned, Ray could only say "I'll take care of it".

"Now you have no concerns. Then we'll find out what Ray's left hand magic formation has to do with armor and spear magic formation. Ashley and the others in charge are ready to go! We don't have time!

The Dwarves move in unison with those words.

Ashley and the others just have to hand over the weapons, but Ryan and Ione and Uno have to go to the workshop.

Ryan and Ione are taken out of the assembly room by the blacksmiths, but Uno is reluctant to leave under Ray.

"Uno and the others, please. It's for safety ahead," said Ray, lowering his head. Uno left the room with the Dwarves after lowering his head to Ashley and Stella.

All that's left are Ray, Ashley, Stella, and Luna, but Ray will soon have Ulrich's instructions flying.

"Ray, I'm sorry, but you stand on that platform and hold the spear..."

Ashley and Stella are going to be with Ray, but Luna was wondering what to do.

(You have nothing to do with me being here. It's safe in this building... anyway, it's a banquet today, so maybe I can help the staff. Yeah, that would be nice)

Telling Ulrich the idea, he broke up and nodded.

"Hasn't it been a long time since you could eat Luna's food? I'm not looking forward to that!

"Really excited," the voice woods in the assembly room.

In the meantime, Gaelic Notes is reluctant,

"I'd like to eat that stewed dish."

"" Meat Potatoes "? I would make it if I had ingredients," Luna grinned and nodded nicely.

"Ooh, bye!“ Meat Potatoes "! That's all you have to eat."

"Okay! I'll ask Mr. Jack if you have ingredients. Maybe it's not what we ate in the village."

"I don't mind. Without the ingredients, it could be anything else."

The look on Gaelnote's face at that time was as gentle as it was towards his granddaughter.

As Luna leaves the assembly room, the blacksmiths' expressions return to something serious.

"What about magic? You let it pass consciously? Or does it activate even unconsciously?

"Does armor make you lighter without wearing it! What do you mean?

Such a voice fills the assembly room.

Ray moved his body as he was told and answered the question.

Leaving the assembly room, Luna headed to the office where the staff were located.

An official who noticed her immediately offers guidance,

"Thank you. Excuse me one more time, but could you get Mr. Jack Harper for me?

Jack Harper rushes as soon as officials head to the office to fly.

"Ha ha... I mean with your call?

You're in a hurry, your breath is a little rough. Luna feels sorry for the way it is and bows her head.

"I'm sorry. I didn't have to rush you that far...... I think Mr. Ulrich will need to talk to you later, but I'd like you to share some information about the Empire"

"Okay. I'll give you all the information we have. Would you prefer it now?

"No. You'd better have Ray, so I think it'll be in the evening"

"Okay," Jack tries to leave the scene, but Luna says, "I need another favor," and pulls it off.

When Jack stops,

"I think there's going to be a banquet tonight, so I thought I'd help you with that."

"I can't ask the Lockhart family to help me..."

Jack said that for a moment and tried to say no, but he immediately reconsiders.

"If you cook for Luna, you will all be delighted. If you have time, please do so from me."

He has been involved in a liquor tasting in the village of Rasmore, the so-called Dwarf Festival. For that reason, I knew the Dwarves admired the dishes Luna had made.

She further remembered that she was a cook lover and enjoyed behaving as a cook to the Dwarves and asked them to.

"Thank you. Now, pork or beef, potatoes, carrots and onions, please. Ah! Do you keep the fish soy? I can't do it without..."

"It's okay. We see it being used in the village of Rasmore, so we try to always have it in our guild."

Luna nodded at it and turned to the kitchen with a full grin as she remembered the cooking instructions.
