Lesson 24: Ulrich's Request

Tria history on the evening of April 23, 326.

The Rays had moved to the master craftsman's office at the blacksmith's guild headquarters.

Ulrich Drexler, the master craftsman, says he has a favor to ask of Katrina Brentwood, queen of the Kingdom of Kaum, and asks them to be present too, sitting on the couch for reception with Ashley, Stella and Luna.

Ulrich turned to Katrina and began to speak with a serious look.

"The Lunas are going to the Empire. I can't tell you the details, but there's something I need to do. But there is trouble. One is about Ray's armor."

"Is that Mr. Ray's armor... that's true," he immediately recalls the information that his armor resembles that of the Holy Knight of Luke's Holy King.

"It's hard to get your hands on this guy's armor. Another exterior may be attached to the surface, but it will be unbalanced and can be unnecessarily rubbed in case it peels off. Do me a favor there."

That's what I say and stare at her. I could see the strong will to try her rather than ask for that gaze.

"Will you vouch for Ray's identity and do it? I don't care about the title, but I want you to be able to use the Cam crest."

"Is it the crest of the kingdom...... I understand what Mr. Ulrich thinks. Even if Mr. Ray's gear resembles that of Luke's Holy Knight, if our country, which has lost its relationship with the Light Divinity, guarantees it, it won't be a problem within the Empire."

Ulrich nods loudly.

"Bye. The Kaelm Empire, the Kaum Kingdom, and my Blacksmith Guild are the ones who don't get along well with Phototheism. I don't intend to give any kind of assurance, but it is still better for the state to guarantee it. Why don't you help me?"

Katrina did not answer for about ten seconds and thought. Then, open your mouth to Xu (Omoro).

"You can't decide what form it will take without consulting them, but let's make some kind of guarantee. Whatever it is, the hero who defeated the Demon Clan, the White Master, so I feel greatly grateful for our country."

That's where Ulrich's eyes loosen.

If Katrina hadn't taken it honestly and put some conditions on it, he intended to determine that the Kingdom of Kaum had used “Luna's Safety” as a bargaining material.

Then, as the head of the Blacksmith Guild, I was going to challenge him with a tough attitude.

Katrina understood that, too, and accepted nothing without conditions.

"That's Katie. Now Ray can shake a major player and act with that armor."

"That's safer," Katrina nods loudly in Ulrich's words as well.

Ray couldn't hide his surprise that the queen and the head of the guild were discussing themselves.

(No matter how much Luna is the adopted daughter of the Lockhart family, isn't this too unusual? Sure, I fought the Demons when they told me I was a white warrior, but I didn't do anything to benefit the Kaum kingdom. Well, he's knocking down the Great Haunted Troops and finding a way out of Aquila...)

You notice his confusion, Katrina explains with a gentle look on her face.

"You are the young hero of Millis Valley and Periclitle. He's a brave man who saved his people and his country from a situation that just despairs to listen to. This is the same perception in the Kingdom of Kaum, in the Caerm Empire, and in the Holy King of Lukes…"

Doubts come to Ray's face, but ignore it and continue explaining.

"... the Demons are our common enemies. It was you and the Marcut Mercenaries (Red Arms) who stopped that massive invasion. Of course, there were other mercenaries and adventurers, but you were the ones whose names were known as heroes. It can't be that those people asked the kingdom for help, but they wouldn't do anything. This isn't about the Lockhart family."

"You mean because you fought the common enemy of the whole world... I know, but it doesn't seem like it's about you"

So Katrina saw Ulrich.

"It seemed like there was something else going on besides about Mr. Ray?

"Oh, there's one more thing. Ray, I'm sorry, but will you call Lord Uno? It's quicker for you to see it."

Ray somehow figured out what he was thinking there.

Like his armor, he's going to ask the Unos of Luke's Beastman Slave Squad to do something about it.

Ray bows his head once, then leaves the master craftsman's office and calls Uno in the hallway. Immediately uno came down from the ceiling.

"Would you call me," Ray nodded,

"Just listen inside for a moment. Because I think it would be easier to act in the future."

Uno bows his head "if you will," followed Ray into the master craftsman's office.

"This man is not Luke's beast slave. That assassination squad elite has somehow become Ray's escort."

Until then it was Katrina with an extra grin, but I just can't hide my surprise at that fact.

The story had been told that she also had a brilliant Beastman swordsman around Ray. But I thought he was an adventurer or mercenary of many beasts in Periclitle, and I didn't think he was Luke's Beast Slave Unit.

(With that said, there was talk of a white warrior leading Luke's Holy Knight into the great army of ghosts. If you think about it that way, it might not be strange to have that Beastman unit. But I wonder how surprised you will be, this White Master...)

I immediately regained my spare time and nodded, "These people are just like Mr. Ray," he said.

"Bye. These people intend to register as temporary employees of the Blacksmith Guild. I just can't make an orb at Non's. That's why I want Kati to create an orb for the citizens of Ars. What do you say?"

Katrina's expression slightly adds to the favor.

"As an Ars citizen, you need to guarantee your identity in order to make an orb. You can't give my name..."

"Then Non assures you. That's not going to be a problem."

Ashley was about to raise her voice of surprise.

I still don't know the story of making the blacksmith guild temporary, but the story of the top of the five guilds guaranteeing the barely faceless Unos has a different dimension.

If it comes to light within the Empire with members of Luke's Beastman Slave Troop, it could also be an international issue. Because it looks like the blacksmith guild master himself sent in an assassin from an enemy country.

"Isn't that a problem," I say to my voice unexpectedly.

"Right. If these people's qualities are revealed, it's not up to Mr. Ulrich alone. I don't know what you're going to say to the Blacksmith Guild if you find out about the Empire Elder or around the Commercial Guild. Doesn't sound good to me either."

Ulrich denies it immediately.

"No problem. There is no way these people can get away with this. If you had to, you'd have lost your own life, but you'd have tried to erase the evidence."

Uno nods small at his words.

"But until I take that much risk, I don't think I need to make the orbs of Mr. Uno. In fact..."

So I almost said, "I could even get into this robust fortified city of Ars," but when I realized there was a queen of this country, I hurriedly said.

Katrina smiled after taking a glimpse of such a ray. But immediately tell Ulrich why it's difficult.

"I think it's hard to talk about an Ars citizen if you don't do something about that collar. As you know, there is no slavery in the kingdom. The very fact that the people of Kaum have a collar that is a sign of slavery can raise doubts."

"Right. That's what I'm thinking... White warriors hear of wise men. Ray, don't you have a good idea?

Ray is confused when suddenly he talks to me,

"You don't have to be a national of the Kaum kingdom... once you make an orb as a citizen of Ars, why don't you sign up for the Mercenary Guild? I can't erase the fact that the place of birth is Lukes, but the orb itself can be made, and it's not strange for a mercenary to have a slave. I don't think Mr. Ulrich would be bothered either, because I'm the one in charge."

Orbs, the demonic prop of identity, are mostly made in the land where they were born. However, it is often a simplified version of the orb where only minimal information can be registered in poor villages and is often recreated when registering for mercenary or adventurer guilds. For this reason, having only the orb of a mercenary guild will not be suspicious.

In the case of the Unos, they're just wearing slave collars because they're slaves, and they don't have orbs. He also had a Luke's orb to be exact, but it's taken up when he was put on a slave collar.

This is what their names are called code names, and they say to keep them from knowing their real names and origins in case they take the orb.

"There's no problem with that, but I can't say I'm a blacksmith guild associate. No, a mercenary on a long-term contract... Katie, if that's all right with you."

"I don't mind. If that makes Luna safer, it would be a pleasure for me."

Thus lay the guarantor, and the creation of the orbs of the five Unos was decided.

The Rays will also be escorted by Luna Lockhart as mercenaries hired by the Blacksmith Guild.

This is a measure to prevent interference from imperial aristocrats, which can be used to appeal that the Blacksmith Guild is fully backing up Luna, and also as a sign that the Guild is guaranteeing the identity of the Rays.

"So that's about it for the hard story, and not to come to the feast? Looks like Luna made something for you, and I'm very excited about it."

Ulrich immediately rode the story, saying "I don't think so" to Katrina's suggestion.

"Then we're heading to the assembly room! Today we have the best scotch along the Slay River, the distillery of Nong Ra! It's only been about six years, but it's a delicacy made by the craftsmen!

Ray remembers drinking too much scotch yesterday and crumbling, sighing inside.

(I guess I drink too much today...... but how can Dwarves drink so much? I drank a lot yesterday...)

Ashley and Luna pull a ray that isn't exactly ridden.

"Scotch along the Slay River (Side) is a valuable drink only here. You shouldn't waste corner favors."

"Because you have my food too. And you can use the magic of detoxification, right? Then you just have to look at the timing. And Ray, you had fun yesterday."

"Yes, but..."

Katrina had an interesting view of the situation.

(You don't sound like a white warrior to me. I thought you were a cold-hearted guy like that because you could come up with bold measures that replaced the oak body with a dirt base and used a quarter of the city as a trap, but you don't feel more mature than you thought... I hope you don't put your foot down...)

Even with that in mind, he spoke to Ulrich with pleasure, "What type of Slayside can I give you to drink?"

Nearly three hundred blacksmiths were still gathered in the assembly room today.

Especially today, many heard Luna behave like a cook and expect to be able to eat the food from the village of Rasmore.

A big banquet for two days, but no confusion or confusion was seen by the guild staff.

Because the minute I heard about Luna's arrival in Ars, most officials expected this to happen.

"Scotch's tasting first today! Get the knob out later!

"We're not ready for Master Luna's tasting glass! Line up now!

Still, the pressing voices of the guild staff are echoing.

Preparation was over after 5 p.m. when Ulrich greeted him.

"As some of you know, Ray's spears and armor depict a magical formation of eight attributes. That's not all. And I'm wondering if the material is Orihalcon from the standpoint of Non and Gaelnote and Oigen. I'll publish it in this room after tomorrow, so look who's free! Well, that's not the hard part. Today's six-year tasting along the Slay River!

"" Ooh!! "" The twist springs,

"Long time no see! I was looking forward to seeing how much it tasted!

The voice is rising there.

Ray couldn't grasp the situation, but he was well educated (lectured) by Ashley before the banquet started, and I know why the Dwarves are so excited.

(I've had a distillery for about six and a half years, so that means drinking the oldest alcohol. Ash said something about aging and the climate in the area, but you barely knew... well, I only understood that Ash wanted to drink...)

Himself, until about a year ago, was just a high school student, to some extent having had a sip of beer in a seat where relatives gathered.

Ray didn't know the ingredients for the whiskey and didn't even know what was different from brandy or shochu.

For this reason, whiskey has only the image of strong liquor, and is brilliantly beaten by the young Scotch strong alcohol of the three years I drank yesterday.

"Then it's the first tasting! This is what Lord Scott distilled me during the commissioning!

"" Ooh!!

At that time, at some point Ray had a glass on hand for tasting with amber whiskey.

Confused by it, he saw a glass in his mouth in an undisturbed motion around him.

"You should wear earplugs," Luna, next door, whispered, hurrying to put them on.

Shortly afterwards, the Dwarves' anger dominated the assembly room.

"" "Ooh!!

I heard the story, but Ray held his earplugs hard with both hands and squatted.

(I've been cautioned, but I haven't heard this much... it's louder than an airfield, isn't it? This is already a sonic weapon...)

When the roar subsided in about thirty seconds, the Dwarves were making a mouthful of Scotch criticism.

"I think it's delicious for six years, but it's still not even at the foot of the Zach collection."

"I think Nan should make Pete a little more comfortable."

Luna was mixed up in such a conversation.

"Sure, it's the distillery where Mr. Jack was supervised..."

That's how I see Jack Harper, an official running around inside the assembly hall.

"Well, he did a great job. Lately, I'm back on track, but until then, I've been stuck in the back of the woods."

When Ulrich explains that, Luna also replies, "Really?" and laughs with pleasure.

Ray tries to lick the scotch on hand, but unlike yesterday, the straight drinking was too tight in a bare state.

"You're too strong for me. Wine or beer would be better."

So Ashley shook her neck small and blurred, "Don't you see the taste of this?"

"I'd prefer wine or beer, too, to be honest," Luna has joined the story.

Stella watched how it went, thinking that such a peaceful time could last forever.

(Thought Fonce's Mercenary Corps (Red Arms) HQ would be the safest, but it's just as safe here. I'm only here for a few more days, but I'd like you to take a rest...)

The Dwarves have also advised her to "drink, drink," thinking about it.
