Trinitas Mundus

Episode 64: Into the Central Region

July 19th.

Ray explained to Hamish Markat and others what he has done so far.

Hamish and the others were on the verge of talking about the battle of the gods as they appeared in Miga, but promised to support Ray with all their might.

At the end of the whole story about Ray, Luna starts talking on her behalf.

"The Viscount Lockhart family seems to be fully backing us up on this one. I also recently found out..."

So I lay my eyes down slightly, but I immediately raise my face.

"I don't know how far my brother Zacharias is getting me ready. But that guy has done all sorts of things for me before. The same is true with the Blacksmith Guild, so that you can seek help from the Mage Guild and the Commercial Guild. Plus he could be turning his hand to the upper echelons of the empire, to Lord Ezzarington, the Chancellor, and Lord Feelobisher. So I was wondering if you could think about one thing about protecting Ray."

"I know the Blacksmith Guild, but also the Mage Guild and the Commercial Guild..." Hamish roars, half-hearted that Alberic "doesn't normally see the Chancellor of the Empire, does he?

"I wonder how long I've been ready. You're a really amazing person," says Valeria, and Luna nods loudly.

"He's a really great guy. So much for me..." to clog my voice slightly. But quickly put it back in a firm tone,

"I don't even think I should just be sweet on my brother, but he said I should go along with my brother's ideas in order to protect the world...... to be honest, I have a lot of anxiety. The biggest anxiety is that Vanitas is going to set something up with Ray. Aside from him himself, he might set up a ploy against Mr. Ashley, Mr. Stella, and everyone in the Red Arms."

"Sure, there can be evil gods, but we're mercenaries," says Hamish with a puzzling look.

Whereas Alberic is at his usual rate,

"It's okay. Ray, there are smart people like you and Sir Zacharias, so if we just think about protecting Ray like Luna says,"

Valeria surprises me with the words, "Rarely does Brother Al say something decent".

"That's terrible. Even I have trouble destroying the world. Besides, I can't go around like this for the rest of my life. So we have to hang in there."

"What sounds like fun......" says Ione, who refrains behind Luna.

"Because Mr. Alberic is this kind of person, but he's an amazing person," Ray says in an unfollowed follow-up.

Alberic's conversation soothed the scene, but Luna went on to talk more.

"Central streets will be used up to the central region, but there will be no detours. The streets themselves are large and well maintained, but may be overflowing with heavy units making it difficult to move"

"Right. But there's nothing I can do," Hamish said.

"From the stories of the gods and the information obtained in Imperial Capital, the end of the war may be opened in September. Nine hundred km (Kimmel) from here to Lark Hill. It will take more than a month even if things go well. Not that I can afford it at all yet, but I don't know what's waiting for me in the central region, so I'm going to use the name of the Lockhart family to move on."

"I know that, but what exactly are you going to do?" Ray asks.

"At Zach's request, I'm going to Netherton to buy something to do with alcohol. If you hired a Mercenary Corps to escort you, I'm sure the Imperial Army's Heavy Corps would be a little reluctant to buy something awesome."

"But I guess hiring a Mercenary Corps (Red Arms) just to buy alcohol is the opposite of lying."

When Ray says so, Ashley answers before Luna answers.

"I'm fine with that point. I have previously transported fine liquor from Periclitle to Fonce. At that time, my father borrowed it to carry one barrel. At first I thought it was ridiculous, but it's not impossible to know what the Dwarves think"

"The Red Arms, led by Mr. Hamish, escort each barrel..." Ray exclaims.

The reason Ray was surprised is the magnitude of the cost.

If you hire a mercenary for a day, it will cost you about 20 kronas and 20,000 yen in Japanese yen, even at the seventh level of the rush. In the case of Hamish, a first-degree mercenary, the market does not exist, but the daily allowance slightly exceeds two hundred kronas.

With the addition of the amazing mercenaries of the Red Arms, we will need a thousand kronas a day, about a million yen. If you think about it that way, it will be 30,000 kronas, 30,000 yen just to hold for a month, and you will be spending more on security than it's worth, no matter how fancy the liquor.

"It was amazing then. Zachkole... instead of bringing“ ZL ”to Fonce, the Bartels were a festival. They hire first-rate mercenaries to carry ZL in every dwarf, so I don't think they care."

Ray felt uncomfortable with Alberic's explanation, but he didn't say anything more because he was convinced otherwise.

"I'll get back to it, but if the blacksmith guild had a mercenary regiment and officials from the Lockhart family, I think they'd believe me somehow. Besides, it has something to do with the Marquis of Seawell and the Ladswell Borderline Uncle, so I'm sure you'd think you'd be heading from Ezzarington (here) to Netherton to Wellburn."

It is very famous that the Seawell and Rockhart families are cordial because of Zacharias Rockhart's unparalleled contribution to the improvement of wine quality and the production of brandies in the Seawell Marquis Territory, a luxury wine, and the Seawell Brandy region with its wines.

Also, the northern governor, Raswell Border Uncle, is related to a Lockhart family man. Not only that, but the fact that there is a Wellburn scotch called “Lowland Things” does not make it uncomfortable for Lockhart family officials to visit Wellburn.

"So I may not mean it to everyone in the Red Arms, but I want you to play my escort until Netherton,"

"I see. Then you wouldn't know," Hamish nodded, agreeing with Valeria, "I wonder if that's okay".

Afterwards, the circumstances were also explained to the members of the Mercenary Corps of Markat, and for now, until Netherton, he was hired by the Blacksmith Guild as Luna's escort, so he was to fit his lips together.

Luna then tells Hamish what's ahead.

"The central streets are safe and well maintained, so there are few problems until Fosdale, but when you enter the meadow zone, there are just a few problems"

"I hear the meadow area is safe, too," Hamish hears.

"Sure, it's safe, but there aren't many accomodation towns from Fosdale to Netherton. There must have been only three of them."

"What do you do, in the meantime?," Alberic asks.

"You're going to camp"

"Camping even though it's a street?" and Alberic shudders.

"Yeah, it sounds like an imperial policy not to create as many towns as possible to not inspire horseback riding nations and humans. But that's inconvenient for travellers, so a camp is built at the right distance."

"Then you have to prepare tents and camping tools."

"The Horse-riding Nation will lend you tents and such, but I think you should prepare them because of the large number of people"

"Hmm. What should I do with the food?"

"It's basically okay because the horseback riding people will sell it in the camp. But I think it's safer to have preserved food just in case."

They then rolled out to the city for the purchase of those supplies.

He was talking about the city having a lot of soldiers from the Third and Seventh Regiments, so he's disarming them so they don't look like mercenaries or adventurers.

Luna wore a pitch-black dress, which was often seen by noble or luxurious ladies. The Rays looked like her entourage, so they stroll through the city without getting into trouble with the soldiers.

"I like the soldiers' predisposition better than I thought," Ashley says, Luna answers that.

"There seems to be a lot of Imperial Army, but the Third Corps is elite, so I think they're also disciplined. Even so, I don't know the Seventh Corps very well."

She's right, the Third Corps of the Imperial Army is headed by Prince Leopold, who has crusaded the Holy Kingdom of Lukes many times as an outpost. The prince himself is after the emperor's chair and is called the elite of the Imperial Army along with the Fourth Corps because he imposes rigorous training.

The Seventh Regiment is headed by Count Dylan Rampling of the Leopold Prince. He often marches with the Third Corps, an experienced and disciplined corps.

This is because Uncle Rampling is tightening the law so as not to discredit Prince Leopold, so there are no drunken and violent werewolves out there.

He went around shops and other things, gathered information, but didn't get any new information, and went straight to the Blacksmith Guild banquet.

The banquet was just as exciting yesterday.

July 20th the following day.

The Mercenaries leave the city of Ezarrington at dawn. This is to keep you from getting caught up in the merchants heading north on the central street.

Some mercenaries were hungover and pale, but many were excited by the fact that they were headed to a meadow area where they would step in for the first time.

Ray is also hungover, but the magic of detoxification works and his complexion is not bad.

"You're finally heading into the central region," Luna talks.

"Right. I'm worried about what's waiting for me, but I guess it's better than ever."

"Why?"

"Until now, it felt manipulative. Sometimes I went crazy enough to worry about Ash and Stella. Whatever's waiting for you this time, it's easy knowing you're not being manipulated."

"Really... I'm nervous the other way around"

Now Ray asks "why".

"Until now, it's just been flushed. But not from now on. I don't know what Mr. Zach is preparing for me, but it should be mine to find it. If I missed it..."

"I think that's all right."

"Why? The central region is really like a“ sea of grass. "There are few other towns and villages besides Netherton, and it could take months to find nomads and Centaurs."

When Luna said that anxiously, Ray said again, "It's okay,"

"I've never met him, but I think Mr. Zach would be perfectly prepared for you. And there will be guidance from the gods."

"Right. Maybe that guy would..."

I'm ready to leave while we're talking about that.

Despite the early mornings, many Dwarves have gathered in front of the Inn.

Ivan Kemp, Branch Manager of the Blacksmith Guild, delivers a farewell greeting to Luna on his behalf.

"They're always on your side. If you have any problems, ask for a dwarf. You got it."

Answer "Yes......" to that care, but tears and no words.

"Then come on and cheer up! But don't come home one day. Now Zach's with us."

That's all Ivan says, hugs Luna.

When he finishes his embrace, he stands in front of Hamish and says, "Ask for Luna" and gives her a compliment.

The Dwarves behind you bow their heads in the same way.

"I'll take care of it. I'll try to protect you even in exchange for your life."

When Hamish declared forcefully, he ordered "riding" and crossed the horse himself.

"Let's go!" the Rays advanced the horse with the signal.

The people of the city who watched how it went believe it was true that the Blacksmith Guild had asked the Mercenaries of the Lockhart family to escort the Lady, and rumors circulate in various places.

There were already many carriages lined up at the north gate of the city of Ezarrington. Though it was thought to take time, the gatekeeper, who admitted Luna's appearance, led him to an interrogation post reserved for nobility and granted him priority for passage.

This was due to rumours circulating that Luna was coming to Ezarrington, as well as heading to the central region to escort the mercenary regiment.

Furthermore, I had previously rubbed it with a knight who had jurisdiction over the entrance and exit of the gate, and the reason was that the soldier who remembered it was in charge. Soldiers were to contact their superiors immediately to facilitate Luna's passage.

"I didn't think it was going to be this easy," laughs Ashley, as Luna smiles bitterly. "You've helped the Lockhart family's prestige quickly," he said.

"Right," Luna laughs bitterly.

After crossing the Fannell River and leaving the checkpoint, head west on Central Avenue.

The wide streets were empty as we left early in the morning and left the castle gate with little more waiting time.

"You're going to be fine at this rate," Ray tells Ashley next door.

"Right. They say the central streets are safe, so there won't be any problems, and I might put them on Netherton sooner than planned."

Under the blue skies of summer, the Rays make good progress down the street.
