Trinitas Mundus

Episode One Hundred Seven: The Cave of Vanitas

March 30th.

Time goes back a little. The Rays were moving toward the back of the cave as a heavy battle was raging outside.

The cave is eight meters wide (melt) and four melts high in a semicircular shape, with a loose downward gradient. There was no such thing as lighting, I couldn't see ahead, but from what I could tell, it seemed to extend straight.

The ground is so flat that it doesn't seem like a natural cave, it's relatively easy to walk in the dark at your feet. The Rays rely on the light of the magic props of the lights to go back.

It is the Beast Man's Uno who leads the way.

He is among those who often operate in the dark and excels as a scourge. My men, Seyce and Ocho, are on guard slightly behind it.

About three of their melts are lined up in the rear: Ray, Ashley and Stella.

Behind it is Luna, left and right as Ryan and Ione protect her.

The rear tails are Nuebe and Dies, the beasts, who, while alerting the rear, are attentive to their surroundings so that they can be followed forward at any time.

"It's getting more unpleasant," Ray mutters, "you know," Ashley hammers, too.

"I know this cold feeling. The same godless (Vanitas) that used to come into my mind..."

Luna doesn't tell anyone, I assure you.

"Is this the sign of Vanitas? It feels nasty. But hey......" Ryan responds, looking around at the crowd.

I know they are a dangerous place, too, and I can't afford to be talking if I wasn't talking about something, but I couldn't calm down and my voice was unconscious.

The Unos, who have done many dangerous tasks, also have instincts complaining of danger. At the same time I felt a gaze that didn't make me feel like killing, and I was confused about that.

However, it was difficult to explain the specifics and I couldn't speak to Ray.

(... Someone is definitely watching this feeling. Looks like Vanitas in Master Lockhart's story, but why doesn't he feel like killing...)

Uno thought so, but now he tightened out of consciousness that perimeter alert should be a priority.

About five minutes after I started walking, I proceeded at a distance of about 300 melts.

The creation of the cave has hardly changed, but we can no longer hear the hustle and bustle outside, and only our own footsteps and breathing sounds.

The light at the entrance, which was visible behind, was no longer visible as the gradient of what was continuing to be made in a similar fashion.

As a result, Ray is under the illusion of being trapped in isolated places.

(It's like an underground staircase in the Temple of the Creator of Gilsall Island. It was like going into another world then too... and it's disgusting that nothing comes out...)

I'm sure the cave is a trap, but it's just a main road going on and there's no demonic appearance.

"Let's stop for once," Ray called out, uno looking back,

"Is there anything I can do for you?"

He hadn't detected any anomalies and wondered if Ray had found anything.

"No, that's not what I'm saying......" I cloud the words, but I'll explain my thoughts immediately.

"I feel like I've done too much. There's something wrong with it even though it goes on to Vanitas. So I thought I'd stop and think about it."

"That's true. I can't believe Vanitas didn't think of anything and didn't set me up. Then I don't think we should push into the dark clouds."

Everyone nods at Luna's words.

Stella suggests, "Shall we scout ahead with me and Mr. Uno?"

"I agree with what Stella thinks, too. I've been feeling something like gaze for a while now, but I don't feel like killing you. That doesn't mean it's not dangerous... I don't think this place is safe, but I think we should see what's going on ahead"

Ray was hesitant to get the two ahead of him.

(Maybe disperse the power and drain it a little... no, isn't that it? If it were Vanitas, it wouldn't be a big problem where our numbers have changed slightly...)

Convinced by that thought,

"Okay, I'll leave you two to scout. However, it is as far as you can see the magic props of the lights that are here. We'll wait here. Be more vigilant around you than ever."

"I'll be right back," Stella said, and Uno said "you will," then headed to the end of the cave.

The leftover Rays will confirm their future policies while increasing their perimeter vigilance.

"If this place is Vanitas' dominant place, something should come from the other side (action). I think there's another purpose in not doing anything."

"What is that?" Ashley asks.

"I don't know either. It's just that we're being watched. Then there's no doubt Vanitas is waiting for something"

"I agree with you," Luna agrees with Ray.

"I'm weighing the timing... I wonder if I'll wait until things get worse outside..."

Ray squeaks like a solitaire. Ashley answers the whine.

"But even so, I don't know why. It won't have anything to do with what we do with our fathers being disadvantaged."

"I do... I'm very curious"

"Even so, we can't keep waiting here"

"Ash is right..."

In the end, the stellars came back inconclusive.

"Looks like the same goes on ahead. It just seemed like it was going down a little bit, and I couldn't see the lights here when I went fifty melts."

"Thank you," Ray replied,

"Let's just move on. 'Cause even if he doesn't care, he might have a lead."

Ray himself was anxious about this situation and just couldn't pick the option to keep waiting.

Five minutes have passed since I started walking again. But the cave continues the same way and there is no change.

Further, the leading uno raises its hand and stops. Uno goes back under Ray and makes the report.

"There's going to be room like room ahead. About fifty melts away, the walls of the cave are broken."

In that word Ray stared at the end of the cave, but it just seemed like the darkness was going on in him, a human being.

"Reconnaissance, please. But don't go in there."

Ray instructs Uno to do so.

"You will," Uno bows his head and precedes him with Ocho.

After the Unos head back, the Rays wait for them on the spot.

In about five minutes, the Unos returned.

"It was still a huge space ahead. No man, no demon."

"How big is it," Ray asked.

"It was a domed room about a hundred melts in diameter as far as I could see. The walls look metallic and obviously not naturally made"

"What do you have or what follows somewhere?

"There was a cylindrical object about five melts high in the center, but nothing else in particular"

"Let's just get to where we can see the inside of the room," Ray said and decided to move on.

I felt slightly brighter up ahead when I started walking.

"When was the light... earlier it was dark..." Uno says puzzlingly, but gradually the brightness was stronger, illuminating enough that he didn't need the magic props of the lights.

Ray wanted to hide himself as much as he could, but the cave is semi-circular, making it difficult to stick to the wall and proceed with caution as it is.

I had just come to a position of about ten melts to the entrance to the space, and I could clearly see inside.

As Uno reported, there is a metal cylindrical structure in the centre about fifty melts away, with a complex patterned relief carved in close view.

"Is it an altar?" Ray turned his gaze toward her as he asked Ashley, who was next door.

But Ashley doesn't move at all as if it's solidified. That's not all, Stella and Uno stop moving as well and don't even feel breathing.

(Is time stopping? I'm the only one who can move...)

At that time, he said, "What's wrong, Ryan!" I heard Luna containing a rush.

"You can move," Luna says with a relief look.

"What's going on? It's like time is stopping..."

"I'm thinking the same thing, what's going on..."

That's when the thoughts echo in their heads.

"I had you come to another phase"

"Who!" and Ray looks around.

"I met you once, but you won't remember."

"Are you seeing me once?

"Previously on the corridor of dreams when you passed around here... let's bring back memories of that time..."

As soon as I said that, I get my memory back on Ray's head.

"... you were an observer (Obselve), weren't you? We talked in our dreams as we passed through the wilderness of despair (Desperationis)..."

'Exactly. I was allowed to talk in my dreams then to deceive the eyes of the Three Lord Gods, but this time I changed my taste slightly'

"Who is it?" Luna whispers to Ray.

"It seems to be from another world. I hear you've been watching this world for 50,000 years."

"Fifty thousand years... and you're okay talking about it?

"I heard that the gods had nothing to do with the gods of nothingness (Vanitas). That's right."

'Exactly. Even so, it may be said that I have now joined hands with the Three Lord God's side.'

"Hands with the gods? I heard you were about to get killed before?

'Exactly, but they seem to have taken an eye on this ability of mine. I was allowed to stay in this world on the condition that I would send you a message here. It is strictly forbidden to interfere in the world. "

"Is that a message?," Ray asked,

"Ahead is that God print. It's no stranger to the place of reason (the proverb) than this world, that is, whatever happens. He asked me to send him a message before he went in there."

"Finally to Vanitas......" Ray mutters.

'Exactly. The message of the gods is that Vanitas has become a target as well as the son of the Dark God. I haven't heard specifically, but I'm going to hang some kind of shake. He told me not to give in to it. "

"Not only Luna, but I'm also the target..."

"Well, the son of Noctis is more like his destiny than you, but I mean, don't be alarmed, too."

Luna scratched and held herself,

"I know shaking is mental, but I'm afraid they're the only ones."

Ray took her hand and said, "I have company. Let's believe them," I encourage.

"Right," Luna nodded.

"That God is good at manipulating people's minds without emotions or anything. That's better than" God of Man (Wita) "or“ God of Darkness (Noctis) "... let me show you how you can cut through.

When I told him that, the notion of "observer (obselve)" disappeared.

And the world around you two starts moving.

Uno reports that he notices his gaze has disappeared.

"My gaze just disappeared. However, there are still dangerous signs."

"The Lord of the gaze was another being, one who had carried a message from the gods. So there is no problem......"

Ray briefly explains his encounter with the observer after saying so.

"So now you're going to be the real deal," Ashley said, Stella standing in front of Ray,

"Order a reconnaissance in the room," he bows his head. Behind it the Unos had their heads bowed in the same way.

"Let's all move ahead. From the gods, we have Vanitas ahead of us. We should all try."

"But isn't it dangerous?

To Stella's words, Ray shakes his neck small and sideways.

"If the message is correct, the target is Luna, and me. Besides, it's God over there. If you care about that, you can do anything. I've never been too careful, but now I feel it's important to act together."

Stella immediately pulls back, "Okay," she said.

"Okay, let's all go in," Ray says, all nodding.

When we all stepped in, we heard a shrug behind us, and the entrance to the cave that came through was disappearing.

"You mean I won't let you go home from here..." Ryan mutters.

Immediately after that, the voice of Uno's warning sounds.

"Something will appear on the altar!

Everyone sees the direction Uno points in. There was a blurry, floating shadow of man there.

"The Forwarding Magic Formation? If you decide you are an enemy, you will be attacked by magic! Ryan and Mr. Ione protect Luna! The Unos ask for perimeter alert!

Ashley and Stella stood before him with their weapons in place before Ray gave instructions.

As everyone moves, Ray casts a spell, but soon feels uncomfortable.

"The power of the Spirit does not gather..."

Normally I can't feel the power of the Spirit gathering together immediately at all.

"Luna, Mr. Ione, see if you can use magic!

Luna also casts a spell on the word, but immediately stops chanting and tells her "I'm the same". Ione had the same and puzzling look on his face.

"I don't even seem to be able to wrap my magic around weapons," Uno said with his sword, plus Luna said, "my armor is heavier than usual, too".

"Is your armor okay," Ashley confirms. Ray's armor, the snow coat (Nixwestis), weighs several times as much as regular metal armor, because if weight loss by the magic formation does not work, it will interfere with behavior.

Ray moves a little, but nothing particularly unusual.

"Same as always. These armor and spears look special."

In the meantime, the figure on the altar was clearly shaped. It looked human, but turned out to have wings like the Moon Demons, not humans.

It was fully materialized in about ten seconds.

There stood a pitch-black demon tribe man with an invincible grin. Not only were the wings, but also the skin was pitch-black, and all the clothes worn further were unified in black.

Ione's voice echoes, "Black Demons... how could you..."

"Black Demons?" Ray raises a voice of doubt, but whatever, the man started talking.

"Welcome to our territory. Welcome, gentlemen."

A laugh was a voice that didn't make people feel any warmth in their backs. Ray had heard the voice and felt something cold flowing down his back.
