"The war with the Republic of Alemania Farren should end as soon as possible! There's only immediate solo harmony left!

Trakian Imperial Finance Minister Witte stood up by slamming the round table hard, staring at eleven other ministers.

This is a room in the Ashes Palace of the Imperial City.

There are several palaces in the Trachian Empire besides the largest palace inhabited by the Emperor. Ash Palace was one of them.

The gray palace, as the name suggests, is pale gray and the outer walls are united. The palace was lightly equipped with more than a thousand doors and windows, boasting its magnificent figure on the back of the Big Canal.

And Witte and the ministers and emperors are gathered in one of their ash palaces.

The Imperial Council of Ministers, the supreme decision-maker of politics in this country, is in session.

The red carpet laid in the room depicts a wave pattern, and the high ceilings reveal a sumptuous crystal chandelier that emits intricate light.

The emperor refrains from the throne in the back.

And twelve ministers surround the round table in the middle of the room.

"Please calm down, Mr. Witte"

The newly inaugurated Prime Minister Strass smiled back at Witte as he sat down.

Strass is still a former soldier in his late thirties.

Much younger than Witte over sixty. He is also from a prestigious nobleman.

Whitte, on the other hand, was a minister of only one civilian origin.

Nevertheless, he held the key position of Finance Minister among ministers.

That was a sign that he was extremely competent.

Now he's been treated like an aristocrat, but it wasn't easy to get from just a bureaucrat to this point.

It is not of the same quality as the noble ministers.

Witte is so proud.

Strass says.

"This war will always end with the triumph of the Empire"

"How many years has it been since you said you could win? Four years."

Witte said with a bitter face.

When this battle, known as the Great Republic War, began, the Imperial upper echelons were optimistic about the end of the battle.

In two weeks, he saw that the victory of the Empire would be revealed.

But the enemy Republic of Alemania Farren showed unexpected strength.

This war was triggered by the Republic's move to secure resource rights in the eastern part of the continent, against an empire that seeks to expand further throughout the continent.

The Kingdom of Polska, subordinate to the Empire, is sandwiched between the Republic and the Empire and is blessed with rich resources.

So the Republic tried to bring the Polska kingdom to its own side.

The Imperial Army, which sensed the move, began marching on the King's Capital of the Kingdom of Polska.

That was the beginning of this Great Republic war.

The republic criticized the imperial despotism and organized a small nation threatened by the empire to create a multinational mechanism called the Union of Republicans.

The Great Republican War, which was initially an imperial dominance, but the forces have become more balanced and, no matter what, the imperial army continues to lose.

"There is no longer any other way to reconcile the Empire alone with the Republic of Alemania Farren"

Gudin, Minister of National Guardianship, argues against Witte's crushing.

"You abandon the kingdoms you are allied with? Besides, what happens if you do that? payment of huge sums of compensation, the transfer of territory, the departure of subordinate kingdoms and the loss of any continental rights. It's unacceptable."

"That's why we have to reconcile now. We can still make it now! I don't have any more money in the treasury. Food production capacity is also falling because of the collection of soldiers from rural areas. The northwest front is no longer on the verge of collapse. If we continue the war like this, we will lose for sure. Coming after..."

Departure of the Republic to the Imperial Capital. Soldier and peasant rebellion. And a revolution.

Exactly, Witte didn't put it in her mouth, but it seemed to convey what she wanted to say to the other ministers.

Even though the July party of anti-government organizations still has power, several other secret societies have recently made a leap towards overthrowing the empire.

The future of the collapse of the imperial government and the slaughter of the emperors and nobles could become a reality.

The ministers all looked equally dark.

Except for one, Prime Minister Strass.

Strass said in a confident voice.

"The glorious Empire will not lose to the Republic or anything else. I have countless secrets to win this war."

"In my long life as an official, I haven't tried anything named Secrets that helped."

Witte's sarcasm, Strass smiled.

"That's because the secret wasn't a big deal. We have two things to do first."

And there were two measures proposed by Strass to open the war.

One was the resurrection of the Demon King, who sleeps in the Dead City of Necropolis, and its military use.

Witte smiled.

"The demon king who destroyed the ancient kingdom in the ruins is asleep? Isn't that a fairy tale?

"No, the Demon King exists for sure"

Witte was a little pressured because Strass was so confident.

Seeing the seat quiet back, Strass continued.

"The Knights of the Creon Redemption have been formed to carry out the Necropolis offensive as a national cause, in order to revive the Demon King and put him on the Republic Front."

Surely there is such a thing as a demon king, and if that destroys the republican army, then that would be great.

The demon king who destroyed the ancient kingdom in an instant and burned down the towns with inexhaustible magic.

If there was such a thing, how are you going to resurrect it and control it?

Before Witte asked about it, Strass stated a second measure.

"People called adventurers have a lot of power. It's a group of adventurers who have more power than the National Army battalion."

"What did you do with that?

"Forcing them to conscript."

"... stupid. These adventurers shouldn't be too good for a lot of fighting. Five, six of us will attack the ruins, but I don't think we can incorporate them into the army for interpersonal combat."

"Mr. Witte. I'm an ex-military. That's what I'm saying. I need you to trust me."

"Then I'd like to ask you something else. The ruin attack being carried out by the adventurers should no longer be indispensable to the imperial economy. If they're gone from the mainland of Imperial Capital, won't they be lagging behind on supplies to supply the front line?

"All you have to do is put a piece on it in an instant. I will not prolong this war any longer than I have become Prime Minister. In just a few moments, the Great Republic War will end in our victory. … glory to the Empire"

The ministers, other than Witte, followed Strass with a simultaneous "glory to the Empire".

There was a strange force in the words of Prime Minister Strass, but Witte could not believe it at all, such as the fact that this war would soon end in an imperial victory.

The other ministers are only distracting themselves from the reality of imperial defeat.

Strass said at the end.

"Let the five great magicians be symbols of Reichstag reinforcement as you put the adventurer on the front. If you have an overwhelming ability, and if you lead someone with excellent personality and style, you will also gain morale."

That would mean a lot of publicity for those five killing enemies.

The five following were the Imperial Five Demon Instructors presented by Strass:

Palmia, a lonely brave man who carries out difficult ruin attacks by himself.

Dillad in Ethereal Blood, the head of the court magician regiment.

Glenn the Great Sage, Dean of the Imperial School of Magic.

Lucy in Crimson, also a professor at Imperial School of Magic.

And the last one was Sophia, the chosen Virgin of the Imperial Church.
