Lesson 4: Proposal of the Second Bishop.

"I am Geist, who is a second bishop in the Church. I'm sorry I missed you this summer."

The man named himself and smiled graciously.

In addition to Geist, there are lords and razets in the reception room. Razette stood at the wall looking at the two people sitting on a leather sofa.

The sober space in which ornamental plants placed at the windows sparkled leaves in the sunlight was also ruined by the mere presence of lords.

A razette well arranged behind the Lord's blind eye, but unable to remove his shoulder strength due to the presence of a Guest.

Geist sees Razette as chilling and deepens his grin. Smiles that look clean and white, calculated for the thinness of the eyes, the arc of the lips and the angle of the eyebrows.

A woman would be happy with that smile, and Razette, as surprised, hid her mouth with one hand - slaughtered her absences.

I instantly discovered that Geist's smile was a creation because I was used to seeing Sora's loving laughter.

The pig lord sits on the couch in a dignified manner.

"I wanted to slow down on day one or so. I'm here to see you, I don't know what to do. Hurry up and start talking."

The lord hurries in a harsh tone. Even so, Geist removed the object from the bag at hand without changing his expression in any way.

Razette, of course, the city's inhabitants are no longer used to seeing it. That's Ogarite. But the lord frowns as he sees a suspicious substitute. Because it's usually unrecognizable to him in the King's Capital.

"What is that? A pillow?"

"No, this is firewood called Ogarite."

With a degree of bitterness that you don't dislike, Geist corrects the lord's words.

No one but Razette realizes that even that bitterness is an act.

"Chimney cleaning is also less frequent because there is less smoke even when burned. If you sell it, you'll want a bakery or a hot tub."

The lord, who smelled the money making story, embarks on himself. On the other hand, Razette tried to disappear to the edge of Geist's sight with a strange face.

"There's only a small amount of this ogalite out there. Do you know why, Mr. Razette?

My gaze gathered on Razette when Geist called his name by cleverly switching tones.

Razette spins the right words while she wants you not to bother to shake the subject.

"It's probably because it's valuable."

"Valuables should be more expensive than regular firewood. But it's actually sold for about the same price. There's another reason."

Geist hosts a light that makes you look like a little fool in your narrowed eyes in a smile.

Razette greeted the light with a loving laugh without ever feeling uncomfortable.

"You caught an ignorant daughter from Cold Village like me, and the Second Bishop likes to be mean,"

"Oops, this is rude"

Geist laughs bitterly at the gesture of trouble.

Hearing the lord slap the couch with his index finger in agony, Geist gave up pursuit.

"In fact, this ogallite has been developed by a village and sold in secrecy."

Geist hands Ogarite to the lord and starts explaining.

The lord put it on his desk without even checking the ogallite he had been given.

"So?"

Geist raises the end of his mouth to a lord's attitude that Ogarite doesn't care about anything if it benefits.

The powerful, the lord, who would do anything to profit himself is exactly the person Geist was looking for.

"Even if we think about the value of Ogarite's goods, we can expect profits if we increase production and sell it in churches everywhere. So I'm here to talk to you about how our church would like to manage the village."

"Don't be ridiculous!

A wall of correspondence oscillates to a drink of the lord.

It would also be natural for a lord to be angry. I said give me the right to rule, not one village.

"Without the Kleinsert family, would church congregations also have trouble securing salt? Forget the church said it was a good idea to abolish the salt tariffs, but you're still willing to disgrace the profits?

Geist waits in haste at the wrath of the lord.

"I'm sorry. It seems to have been misleading without words. I want to control the production of Ogarite by the villagers, not by the village itself."

Once the words are separated Geist drinks up a glass of water and continues.

"We can't both recognize passing magic, which is also in doctrine, nor can we recognize objects made of magic technology. Magic should not be used in production because it is sold in churches everywhere. It's a combination of monitoring."

Geist stood up and bowed his head, wanting you to understand.

It looks like a sincere attitude, but the fruit, it is.

What Lords and Geists are negotiating is about O'Garrite's rights.

The current situation is that the village hides its manufacturing methods and monopolizes its sales profits.

The Lords manage Kleinsert territory, and the villages in the territory are also inherently under their control.

In other words, the owner of the village is the Kleinsert family. The production and sale of Ogarite is also entitled only to be carried out arbitrarily by the Kleinsert family.

Geist's suggestion is to give the Church the right to produce and sell Ogarite. But I'm not offering you anything in return.

Negotiations that don't show weakness even as they go poorly.

Razette, who was looking at the whirling hair on his head lowered by Geist, decides to watch when he will present it in return.

I was also familiar with the kids this past year, even to report to Sora later. If there is any danger, I want to deal with it quickly.

"I understand your demands. But I'm gonna make it happen. There's no point. I suppose you have an alternative interest in taking the negotiating body? Come on, get it out."

The lord sounds bored and looks back at the razette.

"Hey, let me get you some tea. It's gonna be a long time."

Razette exits as ordered.

Tell the maid I was holding back in the hallway to prepare tea.

A maid with a lord from Wang Du, but don't pursue being separate from the last time you returned home. Only if you don't poke your hand into a dangerous sea.

Back in the room, the lord frowned and Geist was grinning.

"How about production. Count Kleinsert, in the form of the church making each sale. I want the sale to be exclusive to the church. Church buys half of normal firewood price"

"Wait, there's nothing for Non."

The lord waits for the conditions Geist told him earlier in the arrow succession.

"I have to gain. It can also be sold in neighboring Marquis Beltze territory, etc., which the Count would otherwise be unable to reach because the churches everywhere would cooperate. It will inevitably be sales across a wide area and overall sales will increase."

As Geist puts it, selling in other territories is difficult for the Kleinsert family.

Moreover, the Church has more transportation costs to other territories than the Church purchases the Ogarite.

"Mm-hmm. I don't know how much it would cost to produce Ogarite. Wholesale value is guaranteed."

Says the lord as he strokes his jaw. It's a money-making story that sprang down from him, but I could read from that look that he was trying to make the biggest profit he could get.

Lords and Geists plotting to blur the crystals of Sora and the children's efforts.

Razette watched the two coldly. If I get out of this room, I'm going to send the village the first news. Razette has lost track of why I'm here.

"Now, Count, for the Ogarite, let's put the village in our hands before we determine its value."

The lord holds the hand offered by Geist. This is a sign that the negotiations have come to a close.

By the way, this is your maid, Mr. Razette.

Geist takes his gaze off the lord and sees the razette.

A chill runs on the spine of Razette, who sees a light reminiscent of a spider entangling prey in the eyes of a gently narrowed geist.

"I'd like you to keep your figure in church for a few days"
