Tsumi Kake Tensei Ryoushu no Kaikaku

Episode XI: The Journey to Paradise

"Dear Sola, I have received a letter from Wang Du"

At the Ogi Hall at night, Sola had a work break at the dining room table and was interested in a board fight with Chaff.

Turning his gaze to the source of his voice, Razette holds a letter with a rare, tense face.

Chaff, who was watching a board showing a disadvantage he could not override, asked Razette this fortunate.

"From Your Majesty?

Razette nodded cocklessly.

Pass the letter to Sola to handle even the broken goods.

How could Razette hide her nervousness in a letter sent by a king of a nation?

Sora looks at the letter and frowns.

"What happened to the messenger who brought the letter?

"It is said that this letter is only delivered from the King's Landing, and returns without regard."

"Shit... did you run away? You're a capable messenger."

If a letter is delivered by the King, the contents have a significance close to life.

The delivered messenger is also treated as a public official, and in some cases can take his word for himself as the representative of the royal family.

The messenger was probably wary not to take the word for it by meeting Sora in person.

─ ─ Were you going to draw out statements to the extent that they could be used to buy time, but were they read by His Majesty?

Haven't you heard anything from His Majesty about this letter? But all I had to do was direct him.

Sola gives up and opens the letter.

I looked through it about three times just in case, and closed the letter knowing that there was no hole in the text.

Open your mouth as Chaff trivially advances the pawn of the board.

"How'd it go?

"Stop sniffing around now."

Sora advances the pawn without even looking at the plate, stabbing a stop at Chaff's formation.

Chaff stared at the board with a face he seemed sincerely sorry for.

Eventually, Chaff points to the letter as he returns the pawn to its initial position.

"After all, do you think he's hiding something?

"The relationship with the Zira Federation of Chambers of Commerce is unclear, but the Wang Capital Chamber of Commerce wants a glimpse with His Majesty. What you want to hide is what you want to see."

─ ─ I have a general expectation.

Sora squeaks in her heart.

When I tried to start the second board fight, Sania turned up from the entrance to the dining room.

When Sora and I meet each other, she comes closer with a grunt that she finally finds it.

"Dear Sola, it's a letter from the King's Landing."

Listening to Sania's words, Sola sees the letter given to her by Razette.

In case something doesn't arrive due to some trouble, multiple letters will be sent.

Sora thought it was a spare letter with the same contents.

Guess what Sola expects, or Sania shakes her head.

"Maybe it's something different."

Receive the letter that Sania has been offering.

The envelope doesn't say the sender, and the seal also contains a strange crest, like pressing the corner of the plate twice.

Surprised, Sola cuts the seal and retrieves the letter.

The paper that came out was... blank.

"... Sania, take that lamp there"

Sola, who sharpened her eyes, instructs her, and Sania carries the lamp.

Sola broiled the letter with a small fire in the lamp.

Then, gradually, the charred colored letters come to mind.

Chaff rounded his eyes.

Sora stared at the letter with a sharp eye, not via Chaff's reaction or anything.

─ ─ As I thought, broiled. His Royal Highness Prince Wang.

Broiled out is a method of writing a letter in a colorless, transparent liquid and causing the letter to float by discoloring it by broiling it with fire.

It was taught to Prince Wang because it can be used for secret interactions.

After a slightly illegible burnt letter, Sola sighed out.

Chaff stares silently at me.

Because the method of broiling is used, I know it is a highly confidential letter, so I guess I can't even tell you if I want to hear it.

Sora laughs bitterly at how Chaff is doing.

It was a letter from His Royal Highness Prince Wang.

"... is it okay to talk?

Sora nodded at Chaff's question, which seemed worrying.

"You'll be fine if you're chaff. Not now."

The content of the letter was informed by Prince Wang.

A king in a hurry to centralize is dealing with officials in Count Sola's territory.

"Neighbouring countries, the new Jiyuz countries, are rapidly gaining strength. His Majesty wants to measure the enhancement of power and the health of the treasury within the present."

Sometimes the power of ecclesiastical aristocracy has weakened, even if it is somewhat forceful, and you want to strengthen the whole country with a policy dominated by kings.

However, the current royal family is in financial difficulty.

The trade route passed between the territory of the Marquis of Beltze and the Earl of Siddlbar is not of great benefit, and silver in the country continues to spill.

Sola explains to Chaff and the others, shaking the letter from Prince Wang to the left and right.

"His Royal Highness said that the official with the story was going to pay a certain amount of silver to the royal family and get asylum instead."

That means getting a more powerful royal shield, not Sora's asylum.

If that happens, we can reject Sola's orders against the backdrop of royal power.

Pressure had already been put on Sola by the King and he could have expected to be in the process of buying time to deliver the silver.

─ ─ His Majesty has become a potential enemy...

I silently share the fact that it's hard to say, and Sania and Razette make a difficult face.

"... So, what do you do?

Sania asks quietly.

Sola looks down at Sania and Razette and thinks of the face of the ministerial corps.

The decision was made in an instant.

"I don't care if it's mundane, I'll crush the Zillah Chamber of Commerce Federation"

Sora declares in a sharp voice.

Chaff opened his eyes and stood up hastily poking his hand at the table.

"Are you going to blade the royal family!?

"I don't go across the blade. Only the Zillah Federation of Chambers of Commerce will crush it."

Answering Chaff, Sola stuck out a letter from Prince Wang.

This is what happened at the end of the letter.

"Lord Sola, show my father the journey to paradise in his bosom."
