Chapter 1658: Good News
Very soon, Justin Kingston and Mia Lane arrived with the children. Everyone greeted each other happily, with wishes of Happy New Year, symbolizing the start of a brand new year.
The new year brings new hopes, everything is moving in a positive direction.
Lunch took place at the Dalton family home, and it was a joyful and harmonious family reunion.
The Morgan family.
Because Finn Morgan’s father was imprisoned, Finn suggested bringing his mother over to celebrate the New Year together. Therefore, on New Year’s Day, his mother was still at the Morgan family home.
Seeing her daughter’s marriage happy and stable, her belly growing bigger by the day, Paige felt comforted and gradually suppressed her inner sadness.
However, the New Year atmosphere at the Morgan family home was different this year due to everyone’s concern for Jocelyn.
"Finn, has Jocelyn called you?"
As soon as Jasmine spoke, her phone started ringing. She took a look at it; it was an overseas number, and she quickly answered it.
"Hello?"
Upon hearing the familiar voice, Jocelyn felt relieved yet somewhat nervous. "Aunt, Happy New Year." At the same time, there was a hint of guilt deep within her.
"Jocelyn!" Jasmine quickly sat down on the couch and put the phone on speaker. "Are you doing well in Lorelei?" Her tone was full of concern, without any reproach.
"I’m doing fine, you don’t need to worry about me." Then Jocelyn inquired about her aunt and uncle’s health.
Jasmine honestly told her that everyone was doing well, but they were somewhat worried about her, hoping she would take care of herself overseas.
Due to Ian Shelby’s special circumstances, Justin had spoken with Finn, so Finn advised the family not to discuss the royal affairs over there.
As evening approached.
Mia and Justin returned to Emerald Cove, leaving the children at their grandfather’s house. They were having so much fun playing with Ethan that they didn’t want to return, deciding to spend the night at their grandfather’s house.
Emerald Cove had quieted considerably from its usual hustle and bustle.
Mia went upstairs to the design studio, spacious and convenient, opened the equipment box brought back from Ian’s research lab, and prepared the herbal medicine gathered from the village. She fully devoted herself to the development of the medicine.
Pregnant, she worked continuously for seven hours for Ian, researching until late into the night.
Justin felt for her but silently watched over her without interrupting.
Until—
She watched as the liquid in the vessel started to change color bit by bit, and Mia’s previously stern face broke into a smile, "It’s succeeded!"
Justin quickly put down his laptop, stood up and walked over to watch the change in the color of the liquid in the vessel with her. He wrapped his arms around his wife’s shoulders, "Can we send it over tomorrow?"
"Yes," Mia said. "Send this set of equipment over, he’ll definitely find it useful."
"Okay," Justin said to her. "I’ll stay with you for a few more days, let’s have it sent over first."
"I don’t need company, there are so many people at home. You should go," Mia turned to hug his waist, looking up at him, "With you there, I’m more at ease."
Justin grasped her shoulders, "It might take a month, if we’re going to help, let’s help fully, and regain control."
"Be careful, no matter what happens, safety comes first," Mia instructed, "And make sure to bring Jocelyn back safely."
"Hmm," Justin kissed her forehead, "Take good care of yourself at home."
Mia glanced at the small box on the desk, worriedly asked, "But is there any good way to get these things to him without anyone knowing?"
"I’ve got a good idea," Justin leaned towards her ear and whispered.
Mia listened, and her smile widened, "It’s feasible."
