This time, over at the Warehouse, Yu really took quite a circle.

By the time he came out, he had completely changed.

The facial features he had lost were all restored, eyes wearing colored lenses, a mouth full of gleaming silver teeth, thick black hair on his once bald head.

He had also changed into new clothes, now looking more like a living person instead of a jadeified Diamond Puppet.

In his hands, he was holding a box that contained tasks and records selected from visitors to the Library.

Obviously, Yu didn’t take everything away.

He only took away six pieces.

Yu had read through all six tasks and had a certain idea.

Completing these tasks plus participating in conflict tasks over at the Barracks in his spare time would be enough to occupy him for the next few months.

Now that Yu had equipped all his gear.

It was time to enhance himself through various tasks and battles.

Yu looked up, holding his possessions, and walked out.

Meanwhile, Gu Xi sat at his spot beneath the Beite Alliance Black Market Auction House, watching Kro’s madness with a bewildered expression.

"I offer seventy-three thousand five hundred Gold Coins."

Kro looked like a madman, his eyes turned red.

Not far from Kro, the black-dressed woman who came along to Beite Alliance glared at Kro with a stony face, while the swordsmen protecting her were already holding their weapons.

The Auctioneer on the stage sensed something amiss and hesitantly stepped back.

"Seventy-four thousand Gold Coins, raise the price if you can, but do you really have that much money?"

The woman stared into Kro’s eyes and asked.

Upon hearing this, Kro’s eyes slowly returned to normal, he glanced at Gu Xi, who showed no intention of helping.

Gu Xi really didn’t want to help Kro in this matter.

Initially, Kro just wanted to buy some ancient Treasure Maps or the like.

It’s his habit to send archeological finds to the auction, then pick some appealing maps to re-investigate.

But this time, before he found a suitable map, that woman came with her men.

Upon seeing Gu Xi return earlier, the woman’s gaze changed.

She had just received news that her hidden Thief Squad was entirely wiped out.

This took a major toll on her.

If not for catching the auction, she would have certainly dealt with the thief extermination.

Now, seeing Gu Xi at the auction, she understood what happened.

Thus, she directed her hate towards Kro standing with Gu Xi.

When Kro bid on something, she raised the price beside him.

Causing trouble and making Kro suffer.

This angered Kro, and when the item she wanted came up, he scrambled madly for it too.

Which led to the current scene.

The item the woman wanted skyrocketed from the original three thousand Gold Coins to seventy-four thousand Gold Coins.

"Why wouldn’t I have money, to buy a life, I’d pay any price."

Kro said word for word, "The Great Archangel’s Feather, it’s the Grand Archangel’s Resurrection Skill opportunity, isn’t it?

I just died once, although resurrected, I always felt something wasn’t right.

I’ll buy another resurrection to make up for it, it’s reasonable.

It’s just over seventy thousand Gold Coins, I have that kind of money, do not underestimate an archaeologist’s worth.

I offer eighty thousand Gold Coins."

"One hundred thousand Gold Coins!"

The woman’s face turned extremely unpleasant.

She brought a corpse to Beite Alliance hoping for the Grand Archangel’s monthly resurrection opportunity.

Everything was going smoothly.

But competing with Gu Xi, she rushed into Beite Alliance’s troop restriction zone, incurring a considerable financial blow from Beite Alliance’s Guard Team.

She was already quite unhappy with that.

Then, her hidden thieves were wiped out.

And now Kro was raising the price against her.

This was asking for trouble.

She didn’t consider that everything was brought upon herself.

If not for provoking Gu Xi, competing against him in darkness-speed, and mocking him.

Would Gu Xi keep pushing forward?

If not for taking thieves to bother Gu Xi, blocking him at the Tavern, would Gu Xi let Shaya take action?

If not for provoking Kro, making him suffer in earlier item auctions, would Kro oppose her here?

She never reflected on her actions, simply blamed all her misfortunes on Gu Xi.

After pushing the offer to one hundred thousand Gold Coins, the woman glared at Gu Xi with intense hostility.

Gu Xi, watching the drama unfold, felt utterly baffled.

He did absolutely nothing.

What kind of nonsense is this?

But Kro was quite enraged too, "Heh, a hundred thousand Gold Coins? You think I have no money?

One hundred fifty thousand..."

Before Kro finished, the swordsman behind the woman charged at Kro, swinging a Longsword fiercely.

Though Gu Xi was reluctant to financially support Kro.

He still had to protect Kro.

After all, Kro was crucial to his quest, if he dies, whom would Gu Xi turn to for completing tasks?

So Gu Xi immediately stepped forward, Extreme Sunlight Shielding Kro.

Boom!

The two shields collided, the swordsman was knocked away.

Seeing the turn of events, the Auctioneer felt troubled, quickly closing the box containing the feather and prepared to jump off the high platform.

But the woman lost her mind.

Her current thought was to abandon the auction and directly snatch the feather.

She couldn’t waste this trip.

What she’d do after grabbing the feather, she hadn’t considered.

Kro too was blinded by fury.

What started as a financial competition resulted in chaos, without thinking he jumped to the platform, even Gu Xi failed to grab him.

Helplessly, Gu Xi followed suit.

He couldn’t manage the woman’s situation, but he couldn’t let Kro face trouble.

As Gu Xi took a step forward, a ’ding’ sounded near his ear, his vision flickered, a string of information popped up in front of him.

On the main quest menu, the third phase was completed, the fourth phase task automatically appeared.

Gazing at the task ahead, Gu Xi realized big trouble was brewing.

The fourth task’s sole objective: protect Kro and leave Bite Alliance City.
