The curses attached to the Blood Spirit Weapons caused the corpses to rot rapidly, turning into highly toxic pus that spread outward, staining the ground into a foul, reeking swamp.

The battle in the sky was just as fierce and brutal.

Apache let out a shrill screech, and the flock of Blood Spirit Giant Bats dove down like a storm of black wind.

Their talons were like razor-sharp blades, tearing open the Sky-Hunting Demons’ wings in an instant.

Their venomous fangs bit clean through the Sky-Hunting Demons’ throats with pinpoint accuracy, sending them plummeting in agonized thrashing.

The Resentful Spirit army turned into a dark-red mist that drifted and circled through the sky, and whenever an enemy tried to flee, they would rapidly coil around them.

The blood within the Sky-Hunting Demons was frozen under the effect of Undead Energy; their bodies became brittle as ice sculptures, falling and shattering, scattering into heaps of ice-crystal shards.

Leblanc moved lightly along the edge of the battlefield.

Whenever a Blade Demon raised its Curved Saber, ready to strike, her dagger would flash out from the shadows like lightning, accurately gouging into the Demon’s eye socket.

The poison flooded into the Demon’s body in an instant, causing its skull to rot away at terrifying speed, tearing out a wretched, shrill scream.

On the Tomb Undead side, there were two thousand Silver Blood Spirit Knights and one thousand Silver Blood Spirit Giant Bats.

On the City of Strife Undead side, there were two thousand Blood Bat Knights, several thousand Silver Resentful Spirits, several hundred Flesh Butchers, and hundreds of thousands of Skeletons, Zombies, and other low-tier Undead.

In comparison, the strength of the Abyssal Demons’ side was far inferior.

Several thousand Silver Blade Demons, over a thousand Silver Frenzy Demons, plus several thousand Silver Sky-Hunting Demons.

Having lost the advantage of top-tier combat power and the long-range Magic support provided by the Burning Fire Demon Legion, the Abyss Demon Legion gradually slid into decline amidst the melee.

Seeing things go badly, the deeply ingrained vicious nature of Flame Demon Baron Azkaban was laid bare.

While Casting Magic to Block Fang Zhou, Murphite, and Uriel’s attacks, he retreated rapidly backward, trying to seize a chance to escape the battlefield.

Fang Zhou and the others naturally would not let this big fish that had fallen into the net get away so easily; they pursued relentlessly, fighting as they went, driving him tens of kilometers away from the City of Strife.

"Almost there!"

Jaw clenched tight, Azkaban split his focus to calculate spatial coordinates, a flash of delight appearing between his brows.

As long as he held out for a few more minutes, he could reach the spot where he had previously come through from the Abyss.

Then he would trigger the fallback inscribed in the Book of Desecration Flame and flee this deadly, forsaken domain.

Unfortunately, Azkaban was mired in the combined assault of three powerful Undead—Fang Zhou, Murphite, and Uriel—and the notion of escaping with his life was nothing more than his delusional fantasy.

In the final phase of the battle, the Bone Dragon Uriel roared and dove down.

His bone wings stirred up a howling tempest, as though he meant to sweep all enemies away.

Seeing this, Azkaban gripped the Book of Desecration Flame, attempting to open the Teleportation Magic inscribed within, to activate the prior spatial ripple and escape this battlefield of Death, but Fang Zhou’s Blood Spirit Long Spear blocked his path.

At the instant the spear tip pierced the Flame Demon, Murphite’s Curse Witchcraft triggered in unison.

Under the Curse’s effect, Azkaban’s Magma Armor shattered like brittle glass, exposing charred flesh.

Uriel seized the opening, swinging his Bone Claw and driving it into the Flame Demon’s scapula, slamming him viciously to the ground.

Fang Zhou then leapt into midair; the Long Spear, wrapped in Blood Spirit Power, punched through Azkaban’s heart.

The Runes on the spear shaft flared madly, corrosive Energy coursing along the blood vessels and spreading through the Flame Demon’s whole body.

The Flame Demon’s form shriveled and withered at terrifying speed, finally exploding with a deafening boom into a Fireball, a mass of bone grit and ash.

Before the Book of Desecration Flame even hit the ground, it was firmly bound by black chains shot from Karsas’s Bone Staff and dropped into Fang Zhou’s hand.

When the freshly formed Abyssal Teleportation Vortex was completely torn apart by Undead Magic, only scattered Demon limbs and scorched earth remained on the battlefield.

Having lost their most powerful leader in combat strength, this glory-greedy, reckless Abyss Demon Expedition Army had but one fate: total annihilation.

...........

When the last Demon fell and vast swathes of Blood Moon Blessing radiance poured down upon this brutal battlefield, this sudden war between Undead and Demons finally came to an end.

Yet though the war was over and the Blessing in hand, the doubts in Fang Zhou’s heart were not dispelled.

Why did a Demon Teleportation Gate appear here?

What exactly was the situation with this Undead Realm Fragment?

Could it be that the war between Abyssal Demons and Undead had been ongoing all along?

Temporarily pushing these questions aside, Fang Zhou bathed in the dense glow of the Blood Moon Blessing and hurried from the depths of the battlefield, appearing before Murphite and Uriel.

He wanted to secure an opportunity to break through toward Gold.

He also wanted to understand in detail the Naraku Civilization’s exclusive Undead Units within the City of Strife.

And he wanted to know whether the City of Strife possessed transmission channels or planar coordinates leading to other high-Energy Undead Fragments.

With these aims in mind, he had to make his presence known in the City of Strife.

Since he intended to stay here for a long time, he naturally had to meet the ruler of the City of Strife.

Otherwise, if a mysterious, powerful, and unfamiliar Undead Lord were to lurk in the City of Strife and Murphite or Uriel took him for some ill-intentioned schemer, throwing down a Skills attack, that would be troublesome.

Though his appearance here did indeed come with little goodwill.

"Tomb Undead Lord Blood Spirit, pays his respects to you both."

Riding his Blood Spirit Nightmare in a Death Charge, appearing before Murphite and Uriel, Fang Zhou lifted his spear and offered a ritual salute, neither servile nor overbearing.

Murphite had already met Fang Zhou.

Especially after personally witnessing him lead the Blood Spirit Knight Guard into the Burning Fire Demon cluster that posed the greatest threat to the City of Strife, slaughtering over a thousand Silver Burning Fire Demons in a short span of time and greatly easing the pressure on the Undead ocean.
